Petroff Center notifies consumers about knock-off brand skincare products being sold online by unauthorized dealers

Dr. Petroff, who is one of the most renowned facial plastic surgeons in Oregon, noted that unauthorized dealers are selling cheap skin care products under the names of some popular brands such as Epionce, SkinCeuticals, Obagi and more, made from sub-standard ingredients via large online markets like Amazon.com.

According to an Epionce representative, the dealers are using assumed names and engaging in a fraudulent practice called "diverting" to sell fake Epionce products. Diverting involves "selling goods intended for a specific market to another market, without the knowledge or permission of the primary vendor."

In a statement, Episciences Inc. - the maker of Epionce skin care line - expressed "shock and sadness that long-term relationships" have been destroyed because of the elicit selling of Epionce products by unscrupulous individuals. The Epionce representative made it clear that these dealers are not affiliated with the company. Steps are also being taken to put a stop to this fraudulent practice.
