Premier Trailer Transport Company is Now an Associate Member

Duncan, OK -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/13/2016 -- Renegade Transport, LLC, has recently joined The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM), making them the first trailer transport company to become an Associate Member as a supplier of services to the trailer industry, a union that stemmed from a mutual initiative.

In December 2015, after years of effort and education by NATM, Congress passed and the President signed the FAST Act. The FAST Act, the first long-term transportation bill in nearly a decade, not only funds highway projects but also permits, with a Commercial Driver's License, the tandem delivery of unladen light- and medium-duty trailers from a manufacturer to a dealer throughout the U.S. Creating a national framework that increases efficiency for trailer manufacturers has been a priority of NATM's government affairs program for several years and the passing of this legislation was a major victory for the industry.

The mission of NATM is to promote trailer safety and the success of the trailer manufacturing industry through education and advocacy. Founded in 1987, the association represents manufacturers that produce light- and medium-duty trailers and suppliers of products and services to these manufacturers and has grown to represent more than 700 member companies worldwide.

After encountering several roadblocks with states not yet on board with the new legislation, Renegade Transport reached out to NATM as a partner in resolving these issues. As a result, Renegade Transport has joined NATM as an Associate Member.
