Alternative to vermiculite

Mississauga, ON -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/25/2016 -- ICC Compliance Center (ICC) is excited to announce its UN 4GV packaging line has expanded to include dust-free packaging kits for shipping dangerous goods by air, ground and sea. This product line expansion is a great alternative to using vermiculite as cushioning material, which has long been standard to industry.

The dust-free UN 4GV packaging kits pass testing requirements as set out by IATA (Section 6.3.1.2), 49 CFR (Section 178.601(g)(2)), IMDG (Section 6.1.5.1.7), and Transport Canada (TP14850 Section 5.3.2.1). These kits are a dust-free, vermiculite-free, safe, and clean way to transport dangerous goods in packing groups I, II, and III. Any inner container can be used with these kits as long as the packaging instructions for assembly are followed. Kits are available with a UN rating of X and gross mass ranging from 2.8kg to 13kg. Capacities of the kits range from one to six 1L containers through to one 4L container.
