PureTravel Australia Adventure Holidays

North Walsham, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/21/2010 -- The travel company PureTravel have announced a unique service website dedicated in altering the way vacations are perceived. The website is designed to allow the user to interact more with the actual tours that are available in Australia, or indeed around the globe. PureTravels aim is to ensure that the vacationing party can book their own tour with the tour guide or tour company that they feel much better represents a quality and enthralling tour or activity.

A PureTravel spokeswoman added that this specifically designed website is aimed at helping a person prior to leaving on vacation, to be able select various tours and trips direct from the recommended tour guides and operators. So if a traveller wanted to book a trip to the rain forests, the traveller, choosing from several different guides, could select the actual tour guide who will be showing them around the forests, Australia holidays may never be the same again.

PureTravel has insisted that all the guides and tour operators on their website have been thoroughly assessed for quality and knowledge of the tour or trip they operate.

And as a stipulation to be able to work alongside PureTravel, the tour operators are also helping to promote Eco friendly projects in their own community. With more money going directly to the tour operator through direct booking, it allows the company to finance ecological issues within their own environment. One possible project from a tour group promoting bushwalking trips may be to invest in reforestation of their community or area.

Australia holidays for generations to come will reap the benefits of this new idea. It is a breath of fresh air for the Australian culture and heritage to actually benefit in some way from mass tourism, rather than just the tax man and the holiday companies.

PureTravel Costa Rica Adventure Holidays

North Walsham, Norfolk -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/08/2010 -- Costa Rica tours are one of the best ways for guests to discover the many wonders of this lovely, picturesque land. The country of Costa Rica is a place with a rich history and many scenic wonders to explore and experience.

The natural beauty of Costa Rica includes exotic rain forests, live volcanoes and sunny, sandy beaches. Many tourists appreciate their trip to Costa Rica because of the historic monuments that can be seen there.

Many of the Costa Rican landmarks and monuments have special religious significance, while others point to events that happened in the country in years gone by. Costa Rica tours provide many adventures and photo ops for history buffs, as well as those who simply appreciate the significance of these "long ago" historic events and moments.

One of the most famous sights for tourists to see when they visit Costa Rica is a church called Basilica de Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles. There is a story that is told about the statue that was discovered on the site. Supposedly, the statue mysteriously appeared after being removed from the area in 1635. Since that time, it has been visited as a top Costa Rica destination for pilgrims from around the world.

Another historic destination that many people want to see when they visit Costa Rica is the ox-cart factory. This factory is located in the town of Sarchi and the local name of the company is Fabrica de Carretas Joaquin Chaverri. This factory has lasted through the ages, and with the ox-carts still being driven in the country, it is like watching a living history for those who visit the country.

Another amazing adventure for Costa Rica tourists is to travel to the Orosi church, which has miraculously continued to stand and survive through many earthquakes.

This is the oldest of all Costa Rican churches and this stunning architectural marvel is found in the scenic Orosi Valley which is part of the Costa Rican province of Cartago.

PureTravel Antarctica Adventure Holidays

North Walsham, Norfolk -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/08/2010 -- By far the most popular Antarctica cruise and polar expedition destination is the Antarctic Peninsula, which is that finger of land pointing up from north-western Antarctica towards South America's Tierra del Fuego. One reason for its popularity is that Antarctica is considered to be one of the most beautiful locations in the world and another is that it is home to countless species of unique and enchanting birds and mammals.

Many different countries have research stations on the Peninsula and, as Antarctica is governed in terms of the Antarctic Treaty, no one country is in charge, and the laws of whatever station a tour group may be visiting are the rules to live by while the group's there. Some of the bases welcome visits from foreigners but others do not but, occasionally, not only will foreigners be allowed to visit and tour a base, they will also be taken on customized expeditions and given slide shows by base personnel.

The Peninsula is made up of countless small islands, bays, fjords and archipelagos and most of these are also connected by ice shelves. A common activity is for visitors to tour some of the well known ice shelves in small inflatables known as zodiacs, and one of the places where zodiac cruising is common is in the exquisite Paradise Harbour. Paradise Harbour is known for its fascinating iceberg formations and lucky groups may even see an iceberg calve off one of the glaciers. The Harbour is also home to seals and penguins that often enjoy resting on the floating ice floes, and cormorants, terns, petrels and even whales are common.

An Antarctica cruise gives tourists the chance to see some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world, and any opportunity to go Antarctica should be grabbed with both hands.
The first temple is the Cave of the Divine King. Here can be seen a 14-meter statue of Buddha with his pupil, Ananda. Since the cave was used by both Hindus and Buddhists, there is also a statue of Vishnu.

The second temple is the Cave of the Great Kings, containing 56 statues of Buddha, statues of Hindu deities Vishnu and Saman, and two kings who were important in the construction of the temples.

Third is the Great New Monastery, dating to a Buddhist revival in the 18th century. Here visitors can see 50 statues of Buddha and a statue of the king who commanded the construction.

The fourth and fifth cave temples are smaller and from a later period, and their artwork is generally regarded as inferior in quality.

There is a temple to Vishnu between caves one and two which is a favorite with both tourists and worshippers.

This is the kind of holidays Sri Lanka is famous for. This ancient island is full of wonders waiting for the adventurous traveler.

PureTravel Launches Peru Holidays Website

North Walsham, Norfolk -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/20/2010 -- Adventure travel company, PureTravel is very pleased to announce the launch of a website that featuring adventure and activities tours throughout the South American country of Peru. Included on the website are options to explore Peru on history and culture tours and sports and adventure trips.

Peru is a country that is entrenched in history. Situated on the west side of South America, it borders the South Pacific Ocean. The Andes mountain range runs straight through the small country, giving rise to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. With a history reaching back to the Spanish conquistadors and the Inca Indian tribes before that, it has a story that could easily rival Greece and Rome.

Observe Cusco, the capital of the legendary Inca Empire. Its towering battlements, ancient walls, and winding streets fill the visitor on a holiday Peru with a breathless awe as they consider the mythological tale of Manco Capac, who supposedly founded the city according to the commands of the Sun God. The city saw a second founding in 1534 when the Spanish Francisco Pizarro conquered the area. It is colored with remnants of both its Indian and Spanish ancestors in the sacred pagan temples and the beautiful churches.

Peru's capital city, Lima, is a thriving modern metropolis which has not forgotten its storied past. In every corner of the city can be found some vestige of its past, prominently displayed by the artistic stone mansions and convents from the noble days of Spanish rule. Less prominently but no less beautiful, various temples grace the landscape, a picturesque reminder to the area's deep traditional roots.

Machu Picchu is a novelty for historians and tourists alike. Thousands of years old, this structured city is a mystery in itself. The entire conurbation was built stone by stone, without a single use of cement. Sprawling squares, lofty watchtowers, and immense aqueducts give testament to the builder's incredible knowledge and genius. Though its purpose continues to remain unclear, the perfection of its construction continues to draw visitors seeking adventure on a fun-filled holiday Peru.
Majestic waterfalls, geysers that erupt feet into the sky, wildlife galore, Yellowstone National Park is a vast panorama of beauty. Yellowstone, located in the Northwest corner of Wyoming, is actually a dormant volcano. The last eruption was over 640,000 years ago.

There are two ways to see Yellowstone, by car or by foot. There are miles and miles of road to drive. This is a good way to see Yellowstone's highlights. One of those highlights includes Old Faithful, a geyser that erupts 106 to108 feet into the air every 45 to 125 minutes. Old Faithful is a sight not to be missed. Another highlight is the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. This canyon is 900 feet deep and a half mile wide. The canyon has a mass amount of tremendous waterfalls. Bring binoculars and you might just catch an eagle soaring above the Yellowstone River then using its mass talons to grab a fish from the river. Watch for cars parked alongside the road. This is where wildlife has been spotted. When driving watch for buffalo, because they will cross right in front of you and can sometimes tie up traffic.

To see the "real" Yellowstone, take a half day to overnight hiking trip. There are many guided tours to be taken, or you can go out on your own. However, it is recommended to take a guided tour. Yellowstone has over 2 million acres of back country. Why not explore some of that acreage. You just might be lucky and see a bear with its cub, or moose with its calf.

Spot an elk drinking out of a cool transparent stream. For the artist or journalist inclined, bring along a sketch pad or a travel writing journal. Capture the beauty on canvas or paper.

Cameras and binoculars are also a must.

There are many different types of lodging available. From camping, to cabins, to luxury hotel accommodations the choice is vast. Just make sure to make reservations months in advance because they to book quickly.

There are always a few days of the year where entrance fees to Yellowstone are waived. To see when these free days are, or for more information go to the website at www.nps.gov/yell.

Whatever is decided to see at Yellowstone, there will be a lifetime of memories listed in the travel writing journal. Share pictures and artwork with friends as you are reliving the memories of Yellowstone National Park.

PureTravel Announce New Adventure Travel Tours

Worldwide adventure travel and tours guide with tour tips, advice and useful information on adventure activities on tours provided direct from local tour operators. This guide helps you find out what to see and do and plan your travel itinerary.

North Walsham, Norfolk -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/24/2010 -- Travel adventure company PureTravel are pleased to unveil the latest addition to their website; new adventure travel trips around the world. The adventure tours offer travelers a good choice of both activities and sports to try and also locations and destinations across the world.

The word travel in itself encloses passion, pleasure, amusement and discovery. When a person tries to find all of these things intentionally in a traveling tour or expects these things to be attained during an activity, the word travel turns into the term adventure travel. It includes any kind of activity for the sake of recreation, in its simple meanings. South Africa is undoubtedly a perfect place to have an adventure travel.

Another great adventure travel would be touring the hills of Murree, which are snow capped during the whole of winter, enabling travelers to participate in winter sports like skiing. People generally come here and stay at least a couple of days because of the most beautiful of weather and snow.

Angkor Wat and Ta Promh, Cambodia - Although not a pyramid in the sense most are used to, both have been featured in Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider movies. Angkor Wat is a large intact temple with 54 towers and detailed carvings of battles and other scenes. Ta Promh, is a monastery that is renowned for the fact that huge roots have overgrown the front of the temple. It is a most dramatic effect that will really make visitors feel like they have just stumbled across something lost for eons.

West Coast adventure travel can be started in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas strip offers plenty of fun per mile; where else can you see the Pyramids, Caesar's Palace and the Statue of Liberty all in one day? New York is the city that never sleeps, but in Las Vegas travelers can sleep all day, party all night, get married and have a chance to strike it rich at the roll of the dice.

And for those travelers looking to experience a taste of the oriental life, Japan is a good choice. It may be thought that all of Japan has already been explored and there is no adventure to be had there still. But this is simply not the case, as beyond the cities there still lies some uncharted woods. To begin exploring, do a quick online search for Japanese exploration agencies or Japanese adventure travel.
