Wounded Hero Receives Custom-Built Home to Increase Mobility and Reclaim Self-Reliance

Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/18/2017 -- Atlanta Audio & Automation recently partnered with the Gary Sinise Foundation and his R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) program to wire, install and program an automation system (most of which was donated by Core Brands) in the newly constructed Duluth, GA, home of wounded veteran Cedric King. The custom electronics design and installation company also donated their time to train Cedric and his wife on their home's new automation system, which is designed for Cedric's needs.

Through the Gary Sinise Foundation, R.I.S.E. provides specially adapted smart homes, home modifications, mobility devices, and adapted vehicles to America's most severely wounded heroes and their families. By the end of 2017, 51 smart homes for deserving veterans will be completed or underway.

Gary Sinise is an actor, producer and director whose humanitarian work on the behalf of America's veterans began in the 80s. He established the Gary Sinise Foundation in 2011 to serve and honor our nation's defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need by creating and supporting unique programs that entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen and build communities.
