A Majority of Soup Eaters Admit to Slurping Their Soup According to New Happy Planet Survey

Happy Planet wanted to know more about what people think about soup. So they did the smart thing and asked.

Vancouver, BC -- (SBWIRE) --11/15/2011 -- Happy Planet, one of Canada's favourite natural food and beverage companies, wanted to know more about what people think about soup. So they did the smart thing and asked. The Happy Planet Soup Survey asked 556 people—online and in person—questions about soup etiquette, sipping vs. slurping and if they would eat soup on a business lunch or a first date. They also asked that age-old Seinfeld question: Is soup a meal? The responses were pretty interesting—or shocking—depending on your soup manners.

Key findings include:
• 58.4% of respondents said they eat soup at least once a week.

• 86.5% of respondents said that a rainy or cold day makes them want to eat soup.

• 58.6% said they would order soup on a business lunch.

• 49.3% would order soup on a first date.

• 73.7% admitted to having slurped their soup (25.7% say slurping is how they regularly eat soup).

• Of those who would order soup on a business lunch and first date, 74.9% admit to having slurped their soup.

• 49.3% of respondents admit to having put their finger in the soup to test its temperature. (82.5% of these people admit to having slurped their soup.)

• 28.6% believe that the biggest faux pas in soup etiquette is picking up the bowl to drink the last mouthful,
followed by 22.3% dripping it on your top.

• Of those who admitted to slurping and sticking their finger in the soup to test the temperature, 35.1% thought it was bad manners to pick up the bowl and drink the last mouthful, with 6.5% saying that slurping is bad manners and 9.1% saying that putting your finger in the soup is wrong – even though they have done both.

• 81.3% agree with Jerry Seinfeld* and say that soup is a meal. *Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Soup_(Seinfeld)
At these open to everyone events, Happy Planet will serve delicious, hot, healthy and nutritious sunshine (in the form of warm bowls of Happy Planet Fresh All Natural Soups) to the public and those who wish can donate. All donations will go directly towards more soup that will be distributed by The Downtown Eastside Kitchen Tables Project.

Vancouver Developer Becomes the First in Canada to Harness the Power of Social Input to Sell Homes

Vancouver, BC -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/28/2011 -- As a real estate developer, the team at Listraor understands the importance of community. They recognized the value of the growing trend for consumers to ask for feedback and advice from their personal community – friends and family – on major purchases and wanted to provide this opportunity to those interested in their new Burnaby townhome community, Westridge Living. The result: The Westridge Living Interactive Online Open House. Through this innovative approach, potential buyers can invite friends and family to attend an interactive online open house with them, where a "live" real estate agent will take them on a tour and answer questions, in real time. It is the first time in Canada that a real estate developer has harnessed the power of social input to help sell homes. To view the Interactive Online Open House, please visit: http://www.westridgeliving.ca/.

"Buying a home is an important decision," said Ryan Lalonde, Westridge Living's Sales Agent. "Asking for input from family and friends is a part of the process – especially for first-time homebuyers. We understand that not everyone in a homebuyer's inner circle can visit our presentation centre and display home. Many of our purchasers' family and friends don't live in the Lower Mainland, the province, or even the country." He added: "The Westridge Living Interactive Online Open House was created to make it easy for a group of people to meet online from the comfort of their own living rooms and view our homes. They can see the home and its features and speak to us directly – from anywhere in the world. We think this will be a great tool for potential buyers. In the case of Westridge, this is especially true given that highly detailed interiors, extensive use of outdoor space, and impressive views have a dramatic impact on the value each home offers."

Those that sign up for the Interactive Online Open House and purchase a new Westridge Living townhome before November 11, 2011 will receive $20,000 off the list price.

Rhino Marketing Brings TEAM 1040 & 1410 'Into The Game'

Rhino Marketing Inc. recently developed a new, interactive website for CKST (TEAM 1040) and its sister station CFTE (TEAM 1410).

Vancouver, BC -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/02/2010 -- Rhino Marketing Inc., one of North America's leading Internet marketing agencies, recently developed a new, interactive website for CKST (TEAM 1040) and its sister station CFTE (TEAM 1410). The recently launched website (found at http://teamradio.ca) features: a new design, layout and navigation; content and advertising management systems; more advertising space and is easier to find through search engines.

"TEAM Radio (TEAM 1040 and TEAM 1410) is extremely proud to call Rhino.ca a partner," said Rob Reed, Senior Account Manager, CRM. "Doug Morneau and his team went to great lengths to completely understand the TEAM Radio business model and they used their industry expertise to build a new website that far exceeded our expectations in every capacity. As a result, Rhino.ca has positively impacted TEAM Radio immensely and we would highly recommend them to other businesses that are looking to improve any element of their online marketing strategy."

"Everyone at Rhino is a sports fan and we enjoy listening to TEAM 1040 and Team 1410. We were excited to work with them to create an engaging, interactive, user-driven website," said Chief Rhino Doug Morneau. "The objective was to build both stations a website that would provide Vancouver sports fans with all their sporting news. It had to be innovative. It had to be creative. It had to be interactive. It had to provide value to the users. What's the best way to find out what people want from a website? Ask them. We surveyed TEAM Radio listeners, website visitors and TEAM Radio staff on things like what they liked and didn't like about the old site, the usability, their Internet radio listening patterns, their favourite sports and the teams they wanted to see on the site. The result is a great new website that appeals to Vancouver sports fans."
