ClockShark Announces New Integrations with Sage 100 Contractor and Xero

Chico, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/03/2018 -- ClockShark announced this week that its construction time tracking software now integrates with Sage 100 Contractor and Xero accounting software. This new integration allows users to synchronize their employees, jobs, and cost codes with ClockShark, and export completed timesheets to Sage and Xero for easy payroll. These integrations eliminate error-prone manual data entry, and save companies time when processing payroll.

ClockShark's integration with Sage 100 Contractor merges construction time tracking with one of the most renowned construction management software in the world. Integrating ClockShark with Sage 100 allows users to import all their employees, clients, and cost codes into Clockshark, and then export completed time records to Sage 100 for invoicing and payroll. "The vast majority of our customer base is construction and field service companies, which is why we rushed to finish this Sage 100 integration," explains Luke Zancanaro, ClockShark's Director of Customer Support. "With this new integration, our construction clients will be able to get their time into Sage for payroll in just a few clicks, and without any manual data entry."

ClockShark's integration with Xero accounting software also simplifies payroll for its customers. Integrating ClockShark and Xero allows companies to map their ClockShark employees to their Xero employees, and then export completed time cards for payroll. Having a customer base across multiple continents means learning what each customer needs, and providing it for them. "While we already integrate with QuickBooks Online and Desktop, to meet all our customer needs, we make sure that ClockShark integrates with what they're using," shares Mark Ping, ClockShark's Chief Web Developer.

With these two integrations, ClockShark now integrates with QuickBooks, ADP, Xero, and Sage 100 Contractor: with more on planned for 2018.

According to the American Payroll Association, companies that switch from paper timesheets to time tracking software like ClockShark save between 2-8% on payroll costs.

ClockShark Introduces Facial Recognition to Its Construction Time Tracking App

Secure Photo Capture Verifies Employee Identity and Deters Buddy-Punching

Chico, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/13/2018 -- ClockShark announced this week that facial recognition is now available in their mobile time clock app for construction companies. The new facial recognition feature photographs employees when they clock in for work, and uses artificial intelligence to verify the identity of employees. Unfamiliar faces automatically alert ClockShark administrators to possible buddy-punching and timesheet tampering.

Clockshark is adding facial recognition to its time tracking software to provide companies with additional peace of mind that each employee is clocking in for themself. "Unlike their paper timesheets or passwords, employees can't share their faces," explains Luke Zancanaro, ClockShark's Customer Support Manager. "For construction companies who manage multiple sites and worry about buddy-punching inflating their payroll costs, facial recognition is the perfect tool to keep timesheets honest."

Buddy-punching, which occurs when a coworker fills out a timesheet or punches a time card for an absent employee, is estimated to cost employers $373 million annually. Across its suite of time tracking tools, ClockShark uses facial recognition, passwords, and user PINs to combat buddy-punching.

Facial recognition is the first biometric authentication that ClockShark has added to their time tracking app. "Our customers share their suggestions to an ideas forum, which we consult when developing new features," remarks ClockShark CTO Joe Mitchell. "Facial recognition was on the leaderboard, so we rushed to implement it for our customers."

ClockShark is rolling out facial recognition to its kiosk time clock first, with plans to include its remaining time tracking methods at a later date.

You can read more about facial recognition and photo capture here.

In addition to facial recognition, ClockShark's time tracking app includes GPS tracking, geofencing, kiosk time clock mode, and integrations with multiple accounting and payroll software, like QuickBooks and Xero.

ClockShark Releases KioskClock™ - A Mobile Time Clock Within Its Popular Time Tracking App

KioskClock™ Is the Time Clock That’s Off the Wall and On a Tablet.

Chico, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/16/2018 -- This week, ClockShark, a leading time tracking app for construction and field service companies, announced the release of KioskClock™, the time clock everyone can share. KioskClock™ transforms a mobile tablet or smartphone into an easy-to-use time clock, allowing employees to clock in and out using a simple 4-digit pin, instead of punching paper timecards or typing lengthy passwords.

Designed to be used in a central location, like a warehouse or construction site, KioskClock™ transforms any smartphone or tablet into a time clock that employees can quickly clock in and out of, using an easy 4-digit PIN. Unlike traditional time clocks which are fixed to one location, KioskClock™ runs on a tablet or smartphone, and can easily move from one job site to another. "We listen to our customers, so as requests poured in for KioskClock™, we immediately set to work," explains Luke Zancanaro, ClockShark's Customer Success Manager. "KioskClock™ on a tablet is cheaper than traditional mechanical time clocks, so for workers who need a central location to clock in, it's a great fit."

Since 2014, ClockShark has helped thousands of construction companies transition from messy paper timesheets to electronic time tracking. With the addition of KioskClock™ alongside the web clock, mobile apps and CrewClock™, ClockShark now offers the appropriate time tracking solution for every situation. "Modern field service companies have a unique mix of employee types, and now ClockShark has a time tracking solution for them all," shares ClockShark CEO Cliff Mitchell. "Not only does this make tracking time easier for employees, but it also stores all the time tracking data in a single system, which can be easily accessed for accurate payroll and job costing."

When deciding what new features to build, ClockShark reaches out to the people who use ClockShark every day: their customers. "Like every feature in ClockShark, KioskClock™ is designed to support businesses with their time tracking, while improving work lives and providing a solution customers and their employees love," adds CEO Cliff Mitchell. "Not only do we put our customers first, but they can feel it when we do." The hundreds of 5-Star reviews ClockShark receives on Capterra, Intuit's QuickBooks Apps, and the Google Play Store, are easily attributed to ClockShark's commitment to listening to their customers.

KioskClock™ runs on any iOS or Android tablet and smartphone, and works right alongside ClockShark's other time tracking methods. For more information on KioskClock™, you can visit https://www.clockshark.com/Blog/category/feature-announcements/.

According to the American Payroll Association, companies that switch from paper timesheets to electronic time tracking save between 2-8% on payroll costs. ClockShark customers consistently report 50% reduction in payroll processing time.
About ClockShark
ClockShark is a cloud-based mobile time tracking service built for companies with mobile hourly workforces. ClockShark was founded in 2014 by brothers Cliff and Joe Mitchell. Cliff Mitchell, CEO, was running a 40 person telecom tower construction company and was astonished at how much time was being spent trying to track accurate payroll data. Businesses with mobile hourly workforces (such as construction and field service companies) rely on paper time cards to track time, a very inefficient process. When Cliff went to find a better solution he was amazed to see that none of the existing time tracking software was built for the unique needs of his business. After many discussions with Cliff's brother Joe, a software engineer in California, ClockShark was born.

ClockShark Releases New GPS Location Tracking Features in Time Tracking App

Construction and field service employees relieved tracking is disabled when they clock out

Albuquerque, NM -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/22/2017 -- ClockShark released an update to its mobile time tracking software today that includes GPSFence, a new geofence boundary detection feature. The feature provides GPS location data while employees are clocked in. The rollout is available today and free to all ClockShark customers.

GPSFence and GPSTrak were developed by ClockShark to provide location data with each time punch workers log in the field from their smartphones. This data allows companies to have more accurate job costing data which makes payroll and invoicing more accurate and easier to do. GPSFence detects when an employee crosses a geofence boundary and sends them a friendly reminder through their mobile phone to clock in or out. It also notifies managers if clock punches are registered or travel is detected outside of a geofenced job site.

"Geofence boundary detection has been one of the most frequent requests we've heard from customers," said Cliff Mitchell, ClockShark's CEO. "When you have workers in the field that change jobs and tasks you have to be able to track that information accurately otherwise you're just guessing." While the feature was met with much anticipation by company owners, some of their employees were initially leery of the technology.

"Typically, employees use their own smartphones to clock in and out in the field. It's called BYOD, or Bring Your Own Device," explained Luke Zancanaro, head of Customer Success at ClockShark. "When we first announced this upgrade included live GPS tracking, employees showed some concern about their employers knowing where they were all the time. After we showed them that GPSTrak and GPSFence were only enabled when they are clocked in, and nothing is tracked when they are on break, at lunch or clocked out for the day they were ok with the update."

Privacy and data collection is a growing concern, especially as employers see the benefits of real-time data collection. "The idea is to have the technology do as much of the work as it can, so the people are left to provide better service," said CTO and Co-founder Joe Mitchell. "Because smartphone sensors like GPS can collect so much data automatically, it's tempting to have it collecting everything all the time. The key is to remember how the people are affected by this technology and what the implications are. Data should only be collected to solve real business problems. You have to keep the focus on having the technology serve the people, not the other way around. It's a commitment we've made and one of the reasons our customers are so loyal."

The roll out of these new features puts ClockShark in the same class as much older and larger time tracking software services. ClockShark has been growing quickly over the last year, nearly doubling its size in the past six months, and the company expects that this new set of features will only accelerate that growth.
