About RASHMI KUMAR:
Rashmi Kumar was born in Pune in a Maharashtrian family, attended Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University and graduated in English Literature. She later pursued a degree in journalism. Her first book Stilettos in the Newsroom, published by Rupa and Co demystifies the happenings inside in newsroom and presents a candid account of the seven years, she has spent in journalism, working with various newspapers.

Before becoming a writer, Rashmi (among other things) also worked with an NGO. The contract includes a black liquor evaporation plant and condensate stripping system including design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning service. Alfa Laval's tailor-made 'AlfaCond' condenser plays a vital role in the system.

The Alfa Laval evaporation system will be used in a process to concentrate black liquor, a by-product from the pulp and paper production, for further re-use as fuel in the plant. In addition the steam, which is the result from the concentration process, will be condensed and re-used as water in the process thus further reducing the environmental impact of the plant.

Classes to commence from June 2010.
