Parents group files suit against Atlanta iPad and iPhone application developer alleging distress and injury to children.

Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/28/2010 -- Atlanta iPhone/iPad app developer Clever Twist got an unexpected twist today when the United Parents Association filed a lawsuit claiming their new Lite-Brite-esque iPad app, iBrite, is "too bright"."It's just too colorful, too happy" complained one parent. "It might brighten their day" complains an association spokesperson.

Green Parents for America disagrees with UPA's stance. "Missing Lite-Brite pegs account for over 5% of landfill waste in America. If someone wants to develop an app that reduces this waste and peg-impaled feet, I'm in favor of it" says GPA President Bobbie Monroe.

In their official statement, Clever Twist denies reports that the app is excessively uplifting. CEO Jen Gordon says "Our beta tests did show above average euphoria, it's true. Responses include joy, glee and giggles but it does not tip the scales to titillating. My kids love it."

Ultimately parents and fans of the original toy will decide, and for the price of a kids meal you can give iBrite a try. It launches in the App Store on Wednesday, April 28th and sells for $1.99.
