RealTime Publishing Author, Jan Evan Whitford, Releases a Suspense Novel Called Mystic Fear

RealTime Publishing are delighted to announce the release of the second in a series of Suspense Novels by author Jan Evan Whitford.

Limerick, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/29/2012 -- RealTime Publishing Announces "Mystic Fear", the second in the Nikki O'Connor series of Novels from American Author Jan Evan Whitford.

RealTime Publishing, Inc. has published "Mystic Fear" by Jan Evan Whitford, which is the author's second book. The 6 x 9 Paperback in the Suspense category is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Borders for a suggested retail price of $14.99. 'Mystic Fear' is also available in multiple eBook formats from all the main online retail stores for $4.99. A webpage at store.theebooksale.com was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info):
At his car, he shuffled her into the passenger side, hustled around, and got behind the wheel. He jammed the barrel of the Browning into her ear.

She cried out.

"Don't make me use this," he said, laying the pistol in his lap.

Her ear was throbbing and ringing at the same time but she still heard the thump as he auto-locked the doors. He started the car, put it in gear, and eased away from the curb. He flipped on the wipers and they sluiced away the mist. As they drove, the wipers lulled and almost hypnotized her.

Thump-thump. Thump-thump.

They drove for about twenty minutes and once they were off the main highway, she leaned forward and squinted through the windshield at a caution sign:

DETOUR - YOUR RIDOT HIGHWAY DOLLARS AT WORK

Orange barrels with their flickering caution lights did little to affect the black hole darkness. Rows of red and white striped sawhorses funneled them along until they veered off onto a two-lane blacktop.

Hess looked over, ran a lizard tongue over his lips, saying, "You are so beautiful. You look just like Mother."

Nikki closed her eyes, didn't respond.

"You ignoring me? Didn't you hear me tell you that you're beautiful?"

Her eyes flew open and she looked down at gnarled, ugly fingers moving in slow motion, fondling the inside of her thigh. Filthy nails, bitten to the quick, tipped his fingers. His hand felt like a diseased vermin paw, even through her jeans. Recoiling, she closed her eyes again.
He put his hand back on the wheel and pulled off the blacktop, onto the shoulder. He left the ignition on. The wipers continued: Thump-thump.
(Chapter 51)

'Mystic Fear' is the second of a gripping mystery/suspense series by author, Jan Evan Whitford – author of 'Mystic Island' (book 1 in the series). Reading this novel is like going on a non-stop roller coaster ride through a series of romance, mystery, psychosis, and murderous chain of events, all of which leads to Marion's obsession to make Nikki "Become".

It is also amazing how the author is able to juggle an enormous array of engaging characters and copious number of subplots, and tie them all together neatly and beautifully to give it such an agreeable ending.

Expertly constructed at 336 pages, "Mystic Fear" ( http://store.theebooksale.com/suspense-thrillers/mystic-fear ) is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Mystery and Suspense ( http://store.theebooksale.com/suspense-thrillers ) categories.

With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books a Million and Borders, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing's online store TheEbookSale.com, Amazon and elsewhere, "Mystic Fear" meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $14.99 and $4.99, respectively.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info):
The blood of Danathyl had crawled from the White Wyvern's tomb, out over the ice and into the creek to the Lake of Danat-Lanne. The precious blood mingled with the icy water and explored the world beneath its glossy ceiling. Bodies of men and Cordontis and Mangendors floated beneath the surface in a lifeless trance, trapped beneath the icy roof. There they stared out through the dark depths of the water that would forever be their frigid mausoleum. Danathyl's blood would not revive them amidst such a great amount of water to dilute its healing power. The fallen in the lake were gone forever.

Closer to the cave, where the blood rode the creek's current out to the lake, it ran thick. Beneath its surface floated the two SangreLin flasks that had eluded Dirlan's grasp. Emptied of their contents, they now filled with the cold water and sank into the depths. The healing power of Danathyl swam through the creek with the slow moving current and happened upon something to call home. A dark figure hung in the murky depths, as if frozen in flight. A key dangled from a chain hung precariously around a lifeless neck.

Past blackened fingers, beneath charred armor, through tattered cloak, and among singed, whitened hair, the blood swam. It found its way in the darkness over scorched skin and into a mouth, past an agony-ridden grimace, and into lungs and stomach. Its healing massaged a cooled, still heart and travelled through dormant vessels and arteries, igniting nerves with feeling and synapses with a message, relayed with relentless speed to the brain.

I'm still alive, Pestileras thought. His glazed eyes opened, and his fists clenched, trying to wring the cold from within his flesh. He squinted upward and saw the pale sky, hindered by a glassy surface that undulated and spun. Time to breathe once again, he thought. That was when he realized he was underwater. (Chapter 28)

About the Author: Mattius C. S. White
Mattius C. S. White started writing in high school, doing pass-along stories with his friends for fun. This gave him a love for the written word, and by college, Mattius decided to see if he could write a 100-150 page adventure story, just for the challenge of doing it. Inspired by The Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars movies, The Discworld series, Final Fantasy video games, etc. he set out to complete this and ended up creating a 312,000 word and 700+ page book, which has been split into two works (The Leaves of Dusk, and The Leaves of Dusk).

Mattius is continually striving to challenge myself to write stories outside the mainstream seen today, yet he holds true to the works that have inspired him from the beginning. He love to create characters and worlds outside of our own, and until he feels he has nothing left to say, he will continue to relish the joy he get from this art.

Mattius is currently working on a sequel that takes place approximately 20 years after the first two books.

RealTime Publishing author, Dr. Jim McCain, releases a Business Novel called Why Trade Contractors Fail and How to Prevent It.

Ballycummin Village, Raheen -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/11/2011 -- RealTime Publishing Announces "Why Trade Contractors Fail", a hands-on practical Business Novel from American Author Dr. Jim McCain.

RealTime Publishing, Inc. ( http://www.realtimepublishings.com ) has published "Why Trade Contractors Fail" by Dr. Jim McCain, which is the author's first book. The 6 x 9 Paperback in the Small Business category is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Borders for a suggested retail price of $24.95. 'Why Trade Contractors Fail' is also available in multiple eBook formats from all the main online retail stores for $6.95. The webpage at store.theebooksale.com was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info)
Cold calling has the best chance of success if you follow these rules:
* Be proud of your appearance. It's been proven that if you feel unkempt you will project that image over the telephone.
* While telemarketing, talk to your image in a mirror on your desk. Smile. It will come through in your voice.
* Say your piece, then listen and take notes. It is impossible to overcome objections if you don't hear them. Sometimes prospects do not say they object to something in the telemarketing spiel but they do nevertheless. The astute telemarketer will be able to "hear" an objection without it being stated.
* Be polite, be enthusiastic. Your voice is all you have going for you.
* Remember, you are not selling the company's products and services, but simply arranging to set sales appointments.
* Many telemarketers give up too readily in their attempts at setting appointments. As I mentioned earlier, it takes a special type of person to handle that kind of rejection. (page 186)

Trade contractors excel at mastery of their specific crafts. The plumber, the electrician, the carpet installer, the home builder...all these and the many other contractors and subcontractors servicing America's homes and businesses know the technical aspects of their craft inside out.

But their knowledge of business systems often lags. Too many of them fail when it comes to understanding how to manage cash, use telemarketing techniques to get new business, minimize their inventories, and the dozens of other business techniques that spell the difference between success and failure.

Dr. Jim McCain, aka The Business Doctor, has done a great job with his book "Why Trade Contractors Fail and How to Prevent It", subtitled "A Handbook of Financial, Operations, and Marketing Procedures to Help Trade Contractors Succeed". It addresses those issues that most Trade Contractors don't understand. It attacks specific problems that contractors face. Most books addressing this market are too academic and excessively focused on theory. This one is hands-on practical, the way blue collar contractors understand it and like it.

RealTime Publishing, Inc. has published "The Exiled Son" by Mattius C. S. White, which is the author's first book.
About the Book (Excerpts & Info
Changes in the vision of this portrait were not only to the background. This generation of the family Egasesew had lived upon canvas for many years now, and their images, too, were always changing, with the exception of the deceased Sevran. Niafask's mother remained a beautiful face between two shadows of their former selves who looked on from behind a guise of scales, horns, and jagged teeth.

Niafask looked upon the painting as he touched his rough face. His fingers found a small, bony protrusion on his cheek. "That wasn't there before," he said, squinting at his image on the canvas. He reached and pulled a small mirror from a nearby drawer and looked into it.

It was the wrong mirror.

His gaze faded from his own broken face staring back, and he found himself staring at the mirror itself. Its glass and silver frame were stained with the dried brown of old blood. Niafask's hand felt its way from his cheek down to the long scar across his neck.
As his eyes glazed with memory, all he saw was fire. (Chapter 17, page 221)

White's account of this era is quite astonishing as he utilizes a brilliant imagination in his writing. He creates a world so very different than we know, but at the same time - he incorporates the need we all have for equality and balance in our own lives, and the lives of others. I found this to be an extraordinary tale of fantasy mixed with an underlying absolute truth. Looking for a fresh new writer - Matthew C. S. White is the next upcoming new author in this genre.
About Mattius C. S. White
Mattius C. S. White started writing in high school, doing pass-along stories with his friends for fun. This gave him a love for the written word, and by college, Mattius decided to see if he could write a 100-150 page adventure story, just for the challenge of doing it. Inspired by The Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars movies, The Discworld series, Final Fantasy video games, etc. he set out to complete this and ended up creating a 312,000 word and 700+ page book, which has been split into two works (The Exiled Son, and The Leaves of Dusk).

About the Book (Excerpts & Info)
After the fight, one of the physical training instructors came over and told me that I had to enter Collingrad's boxing championships, due to my talented right hand (I had a good uppercut by all accounts). I had four fights and won them all by knockout in the first round, which meant I was now in the finals for middle weight. I was quite chuffed about all this; my class mates were all behind me. What I didn't know at this time was a certain boxer called Paddy Graham was also in the final. Now, this guy was a Navy legend; he was southern area, ABA, and Northern Ireland amateur champion.

The night of the final arrived, I was in my corner dressed in a white Navy t-shirt, a pair of Navy issue sports shorts down to my knees, and a pair of plimsolls, when in came Paddy, dressed in silk shorts, a t-shirt covered in boxing honours, and proper boxing boots. I'm thinking, why me, o lord. My sphincter muscle is tightening up, my mouth is drier than a camel's arse, adrenaline is coursing through my veins, the fight or flee mode is kicking in; my loyal mates are giving me a hundred to one chance. Seconds out, round one, Paddy comes out of his corner, blowing air through his nostrils like some insane bull. I move forward, I see a chance, there's a gap between his gloves... (Chapter 2)

Fish and Ships by author Alfred Pickup takes readers behind the scenes and onboard the Royal Navy from the early 1960's to mid 1980's.

Travelling the world's oceans meant facing powerful storms, on board fires, mechanical breakdowns, the threat of war, and shore leaves where young matelots with money in their pockets and adventure on their minds could get into all sorts of alcohol-infused shenanigans in local establishments.

Fish and Ships follows a twenty-five year career in the RN that would see Pickup rise to the rank of Chief Petty Officer and retire from service in his early forties to life as the owner of a fish and chips restaurant.

Fish & Ships offers readers a rare and honest glimpse into the adventure, excitement, and unique challenges of a career in the Royal Navy.

Expertly constructed at 218 pages, "Fish & Ships" is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Memoir/Autobiographycategory. With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books a Million and Borders to name a few, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing's online retail outlet store.theebooksale.com, Amazon and elsewhere, 'Fish & Ships' meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $15.95 and $6.95, respectively.

RealTime Publishing are delighted to announce the releases of the first three books in the "Saga of Pacific Islands series" by Australian author, David Luders.

Raheen, Limerick -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/03/2010 -- RealTime Publishing Announces Led By The Stars, Break The Sky and Cataclysm - three of the nine "Saga of Pacific Islands series" of novels from Australian author, David Luders.

RealTime Publishing, Inc. has published Led By The Stars, Break The Sky and Cataclysm by David Luders, which are the author's most recent books to date and the first installments of a series of nine novels. The 6 x 9 Paperback in the Historical/Adventure category is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Borders for a suggested retail price of $14.95. Multiple eBook formats are also available from the publisher's store (http://store.theebooksale.com) where a webpage was launched simultaneously with these publications.

About the Books
Fiction from the south Pacific islands is rare enough, but until now there has been none that reaches deep into their past. The Saga of Pacific Islands series is something new.

Few writers on the islands have strayed from non-fiction. There were James Michener's Hawaii and Tales of the South Pacific and a few little-known novels but then we have to go back to classics - Robert Louis Stevenson , Somerset Maugham, R.M.Ballantyne and even Herman Melville. All those writers found fascination and romance but none delved into what it had sprung from. Only academics have pursued the origins and then only in their bloodless, laboured way.

Polynesians, in their islands scattered over the vast oceanic triangle between Hawaii, New Zealand and Easter Island, long held the limelight. A handsome, vigorous and engaging people, they captured the imagination of Europeans from the very first. Melanesia to the west is a different case. A chain of islands from New Guinea in the west to Fiji in the east, it was the route taken by the Polynesians' ancestors on their migration from the vicinity of Taiwan into the expanse of the Pacific, 3000 years ago.

Its people, smaller, dark of skin and more reserved, were for a long time mostly regarded by Europeans with disdain if not antipathy. Only slowly was their plethora of cultures and languages appreciated, and scholars habitually study the two races separately. Very few give much thought to any possible ancient interaction between them.

1. Led by the Stars is the first in the SAGA OF PACIFIC ISLANDS series of novels.
300 years before William the Conqueror brings feudalism to England, there is a like case in the Pacific islands. But there, two races meet, neither knowing until then that there are any others in the world. Polynesians, voyaging in quest of a place to start new fiefs, discover islands occupied by tribal blacks.

Amazement, fear and curiosity give way to fascination, prejudice and ambition, but across the racial divide friendships form. Antagonisms amongst the colonisers lead to conflict. Alignments emerge, families struggle with setbacks and misfortunes. Through it all, young people form liaisons, building a society unimagined when first the two peoples met. Who then are the conquerors, and who the conquered?

2. Break The Sky is the Second in the SAGA OF PACIFIC ISLANDS series of novels.
It is 750 years ago. Coming across a tranquil island world, Tongan seafarers discover its hallowed narcotic drink made from a sacred plant and forbidden to all but local chiefs. Proposing to take it home to their ruler, they set off fierce disputes. At the same time, the budding romance of a high chief's daughter and a young man of modest birth is abruptly blocked by her betrothal and the train of events set off has dire results.

Even in a quiet corner of the world a drug, however mild, drives conflict and change.

3. Cataclysm is the Third in the SAGA OF PACIFIC ISLANDS series of novels.
It happened in 1452. A colossal volcanic explosion broke one island into five; for five years its dust pall blanketed the globe. What happened on the spot is a staggering story handed down for almost 500 years.

The catastrophe strikes before evacuation is complete. By astounding luck, two young people survive the stupendous blast. Rescued, they live through the severity of the aftermath. Wed, they begin restoring life on the remnant of their former home. Their lifelong struggle brings success marred by human frailty and the cataclysm leaves beliefs deeply shaken.

Expertly constructed at 218, 142 and 174 pages respectively, the trio are being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Historical/Adventure category. With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books a Million and Borders, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing's online store TheEbookSale.com, Amazon and elsewhere, the series meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $14.95 and $6.95, respectively.
Additionally, each can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers from the RealTime wholesale department by emailing buybooks@realtimepublishings.com. To qualify for the maximum trade discount price set by the author, order in quantities of ten or more.
TheEbookSale Publishing, Inc. has published Go Solar Without Big Daddy's Help by Geoffrey Crossland Trager, which is the author's most recent book to date. The multiformat eBook in the DIY/Educational category is available worldwide on ebook retailer websites such as Amazon, Fictionwise and eReader for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
About the Book (Preface)
Did you know you can start harvesting sunlight for electricity from your own backyard, right now, without being an electrician or engineer? And you don't have to wait around for big government, small government, or your local power company to get started. It's true! Kits are now available providing free electricity from small, lightweight, solar panels that are easier to assemble by far than most put-together furniture or large package toys.

I know, because I use these kits for my business installing small solar powered pumps for fish pond waterfalls and rain cistern filtration and circulation for stored landscape irrigation water.

One kit fits in a box 3 ft long, 12 in. wide, and 18 in. high, so you can take it camping to power lap tops, DVD players, night lights and fans, in the middle of the wilderness, far from any municipal power company.

I also explore Florida wetlands in my solar-powered kayak. Don't worry; I'm not totally, sinfully, lazy! I still paddle around in kayaks too, but either way, its clean, quiet, free energy I'm using.

To find out exactly what you need to buy, where to get it, how much it will cost, and how to set it all up following clear, simple, illustrated instructions, for all of the projects listed below as well as using the kit for any small, low cost, low power projects you dream up, check out Dr. Geoff Trager's 32 page e-pamphlet.

With global attitudes shifting away from dependence on fossil fuel-based energy, it is surprising that solar energy, the cleanest, cheapest energy source, isn't more popular. Geoff Trager is trying to change this mindset with his book, Go Solar Without Big Daddy's Help.

Trager packs a great deal of information in these 30 or so pages. His easy-to-understand language is peppered throughout with his keen sense of humour. The book features four solar-powered projects that anyone with basic do-it-yourself skills can accomplish in a weekend. He lists everything you need to get started, how much the parts will cost, and where to get the parts from, including websites, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers for part suppliers. The step-by-step directions are detailed and easy to follow with ample photos to keep you on track with each project.

If you are handy with tools, have some basic electrical knowledge, and are looking for some interesting projects certain to have the neighbors stopping by for a look, then Go Solar Without Big Daddy's Help is the one for you.

Expertly formatted in multiple eBook formats, Go Solar Without Big Daddy's Help at 8,000 words, is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the DIY/Educational genre. With Global distribution through Ingram Digital, Mobipocket and BooksOnBoard, plus pervasive online availability through TheEbookSale's online store, Amazon and elsewhere, Go Solar Without Big Daddy's Help meets consumer demand with ease.

About the Books:

With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books a Million and Borders, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing's ( http://www.realtimepublishings.com ) online store TheEbookSale.com, Amazon and elsewhere, the series meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $14.95 and $6.95, respectively.
Additionally, each can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers from the RealTime wholesale department by emailing buybooks@realtimepublishings.com. To qualify for the maximum trade discount price set by the author, order in quantities of ten or more.
About David Luders
Australian by birth, David Luders had been an agricultural consultant, twice Officer-in-Charge of Australian Antarctic stations and policy officer in Canberra before migrating to Vanuatu when it was still under joint British-French colonial rule. Now a noted local historian, he lives not far from the capital and divides his time between farming, consulting and writing.

TheEbookSale Publishing author John Lasker, releases a masterclass in investigative journalism, Technoir.

Limerick, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/03/2010 -- TheEbookSale Publishing Announces Technoir, an investigative novel about the Dark Side of Technology, the US Military and UFOs, from American author John Lasker.

TheEbookSale Publishing, Inc. has published Technoir by John Lasker, which is the author's most recent book to date. The multiformat eBook in the Science Fiction category is available worldwide on ebook retailer websites such as Amazon, Fictionwise and eReader for a suggested retail price of $6.95. A webpage at http://www.store.theebooksale.com/science-fiction/technoir was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info)
For a year, Bruce Gagnon had the same nagging feeling. That someone or some people were on the edges of his life, trying hard to look in. Were they parked around the block in their black Ford SUV with tinted windows? Or like a cyberspace shadow, could they be following every move he made on the Internet? He just knew it; something wasn't quite right. Or was he just being paranoid? Was his status as the director of one of world's fastest growing arms-control movements getting the best of him?

Then Gagnon received an unexpected phone call. It was a lawyer from Florida's American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU lawyer right away told him: You and your family are being spied on by NASA, the Air Force and the Brevard County Sheriffs Department, which basically is a bunch of good 'ole boys from near the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where Gagnon had often protested. He would soon find out this posse of spies had conducted background checks on him and his son. The spies were also monitoring the arms-control web site he ran, and attending Kennedy Space Center protests incognito; protests he had coordinated.

Gagnon instincts, once again, had warned him right: There's a lot of people out there who don't think too highly of him or what he does. The 50-something Gagnon directs the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space from his office in Maine. The Global Network's aim is to stop all and any weapons, along with any nuclear powered technology, from ever being deployed past Earth's atmosphere and into space. He established the Global Network in 1992, and it now has chapters in 170 countries. Gagnon's resume also includes guest lectures at scores of high-profiled universities, and his writings have been published in prominent newspapers and magazines. He's also a hero of sorts in parts of Europe and Japan.

"We're a small organization with meager resources," said Gagnon from his Maine office during an interview for this book. "They feel threatened by us? That tells us something." The ACLU filed a number of Freedom of Information seeking records that may reveal the entire scope of the government's probe. "NASA states, in these documents, that they (also) have 'confidential sources' in Britain and Belgium monitoring Global Network activities," said Florida ACLU attorney Kevin Aplin to this reporter.

Why would the Pentagon, home to the world's greatest and smartest warriors, be so interested in a small bare-to-the-bones peace activist group?

"Space weapons," says Gagnon, a veteran of the US Air Force.
(CHAPTER 3: The Emerging U.S. Space Weapons Arsenal...The Greatest Trojan Horse - Ever?)

Lasker has completed an exhausting level of research and investigation in each of these 13 stories. He backs his information with accounts from scientists, law enforcement members, insiders, politicians and other credible eye-witnesses. This book will have you thinking in new directions and it will leave you much more aware of technology's growing influence on society.

Lasker suggests that true journalism is dying. One may disagree - as long as John ignores his critics at the Pentagon, disregards the space-weapons and Washington lobbyists, and continues asking questions and digging for answers - investigative journalism will survive.

Expertly constructed in multiple eBook formats, Technoir at 156 pages or 61,000 words, is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Science Fiction genre.
About the Book (Excerpts & Info):

"You had better be careful or you're going to turn into a real ghoul, Mr. Wisdom."

"I think you are already a ghoul, Dr. Wells."

Christopher couldn't believe that after all this time he was finally in the classroom of Donnis University's most famous literature professor Henry David Wells. The fact that such a great short story and novel author would even consider reading his work was beyond flattering to him.

"I like this story, Mr. Wisdom." Dr. Wells looked around the rest of the classroom. Most of the students were hanging on his every word. A few of them respected him but thought he was overrated. Then there were the dummies that had to take some kind of literature class to graduate. "I asked you people to write a one page short story with a good, morbid twist ending. Mr. Wisdom has, without a doubt, done the best job with this first assignment."

"What did you like best?" asked Christopher.

"It was short, to the point and it was a good old fashioned horror tale. I like that about your writing."

"Thank you."

"Did you like mine as well?" asked Sarah Nolan.

"Yes. I just didn't want to get fired for reading it out loud."

"I see," she laughed.

Sarah and Christopher were about the same age. They were both seniors and wanted desperately to be best-selling authors like the good professor. Sarah didn't really enjoy horror and she didn't want to write about death and violence. Her love was erotica and that was the kind of fiction she wanted to write. Dr. Wells could not help but notice her. Her beautiful skin, strawberry blonde hair and perfect figure were difficult to ignore. Perhaps her best features were her haunting and lovely deep green eyes.

"Well, I think that's enough fun for one day, kids. See you next Friday." Dr. Wells looked at Sarah and smiled. He could tell that Christopher wanted to hang around and bug him after class. It could be that he was sizing up Christopher just a little. Even though she didn't like horror, Sarah was obviously deeply impressed by the natural writing talent of her instructor. What was even more obvious and delightful for Dr. Wells was that he knew Sarah would sleep with him... (Chapter 1, page 8)

Dark Fiction introduces us to Christopher Wisdom, an aspiring young writer attending a prestigious university. Christopher is thrilled when the school's most famous professor - a bestselling author - decides to be his mentor.

Although ecstatic to find that some dreams really do come true, the young writer is horrified to learn that so do some nightmares. When his mentor's dark secret is revealed, he realizes there are things worse than even those conjured up by a horror writer's imagination.

Dark Fiction is for thinking readers. The author handles some deep topics. He challenges readers to face our fear of death and dying, to revisit our belief in religion, the paranormal, crime and punishment, and he even has us questioning the importance of human existence on earth. He does all this while keeping us thoroughly horrified without relying on slasher film gimmicks of bloody gore and violent sex so common in horror today. He tips his hat to the masters of the macabre without cloning them.

Fans of Poe and Lovecraft and anyone who enjoys old fashioned horror, but doesn't need the blood and guts will enjoy this book.

Expertly constructed at 356 pages, "Dark Fiction" is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Horror category. With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books a Million and Borders to name aa few, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing's online retail outlet store.theebooksale.com, Amazon and elsewhere, 'Dark Fiction' meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $15.95 and $6.95, respectively.

About the Book
My first reaction was,"Not my Talker."News, of course, had already come through that a few Talkers had gone missing. That that news hadn't come via my Talker should have given me pause for thought. It hadn't. I was confident that I'd treated her fairly; and, superciliously, I had blamed the disappearances of those other Talkers on their D-of-C's neglect.

My Talker had not suffered such neglect. I had assiduously kept all the ruffians and viragos away from her, had even secured for her an apartment near the office so that she only had to walk two corridors; and I had arranged for someone to be there always to walk her back and forth from work. On occasion I had even accompanied her home myself... (Prologue pg 7)

I begin by reminding myself, and you, that you do not have the Knowledge. I begin by telling myself that to you, therefore, I have to explain everything. You, humankind, do not know all that I know. You, human, can never know all that I know. Yours is a tightly limited universe, finite unto your own solo brain. I, therefore, have to explain all to you. And I warn you human that I am of a serious mind. Not like those of us who switch on and gratuitously entertain you with the trivia of disconnected data... (The Leander Chronicle - Beginnings pg 68)

You Human: the Leander Chronicle is the dark core, the gravitational mass of the quintet, towards the unMaking of Heaven.

Within 'You Human' genetic manipulation and genocide will be encountered, sexual obsession/gratification and the nature of love will be explored.
