Immigration Advisors in Vancouver Say Government Looking to Fill Labour Shortage

More than 500,000 jobs remain unfulfilled, according to Statistics Canada

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/19/2019 -- As a group of immigration advisors in Vancouver, the team at Racer Immigration is always on the lookout for new opportunities for immigrants who want to start a new life in Canada. In the first three months of 2019, Stats Canada reported that the number of job vacancies in Canada had increased and almost 80% of the openings were for permanent positions. For more, go to: http://racerimmigration.com/more-than-500000-jobs-unfilled-across-canada-according-to-statistics-canada/

The report states that in the first quarter of 2019, job vacancies reached more than 500,000, an increase of more than 40,000 positions over the same period in 2018. One of the reasons that employers are facing labour shortages is the country's ageing population.

As experienced immigration advisors in Vancouver, the team at Racer Immigration comprehend that immigration is a crucial factor to support healthy economic growth in Canada. In order to tackle this challenge, the federal government decided to support programs regarding immigration in Canada to raise levels over the next three years. The government believes that this strategy might be the key component to growth, which will translate into more economic-class immigration programs.

According to Statistics Canada, almost half of the stunning job vacancies were spread across three main sectors:

-	Health care and Social assistance Manufacturing and Accommodation Food Services
-	Manufacturing and Accommodation
-	Food Services

Both Ontario and BC have seen more job vacancies sitting unfulfilled. For Ontario, the shortages are impacting the health care and social assistance, retail trade, professional, scientific and technical services, and accommodation and food services sectors. Meanwhile, BC is struggling to fill positions related to transportation and warehousing and scientific and technical services.

Statistics Canada's report held that almost 80% of job vacancies in the referred period were for permanent positions, meaning jobs that are expected to last as long as the employee wants it. According to the institution, permanent employment "is often associated with higher wages, more benefits, and training offered by the employer than temporary employment."

Vancouver Consultants Specialize in Business Immigration

Vancouver Immigration Firm Specializes in Bringing Job Creators to Canada

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/23/2019 -- As an immigration firm in Vancouver, the team at Racer Immigration knows that immigrants contribute to Canada in all sorts of ways. While the federal entrepreneur and investor visas are no longer available, there are still routes for skilled workers as well as business people who can create jobs and stimulate the economy. An immigration consultant can explore the best option to help entrepreneurs immigrate to Canada. These include

-	The Self-Employed Visa
-	The Start-Up Visa
-	The Provincial Nominee Program for Business

For example, the self-employed visa pertains to those people who have experience in the Arts, Sports, and Cultural fields and who will bring their expertise to further enrich Canada in those fields. Important selection criteria will be related to experience within the 5-year period preceding the date of application, language skills in French or English, education, and adaptability to the Canadian way of life. Furthermore, if individuals want to purchase a farm in Canada, you need at least 2 years of farm management experience.

Qualifying for a start-up visa requires the support of an angel investor who will fund an idea, while requirements for the Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) vary province by province. The consultants at Racer Immigration in Vancouver can provide guidance about PNPs in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

Vancouver Immigration Consultants Announce Pilot Residency Program for Caregivers

Limited time pilot project provides caregivers and family members with pathway to residency in Canada

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/22/2019 -- As an immigration consultant in Vancouver, the team at Racer Immigration believes it is important for families to stay together. For foreign Caregivers hoping to come to Canada, securing clearance for their families was a long and badly understood process. However, the Government of Canada has announced a limited-time pilot program that could open the pathway to family immigration to Canada. For more, go to: http://racerimmigration.com/preapproved-permanent-residency-for-caregivers-in-canada-%EF%BB%BF/

Previously, caregivers coming to Canada had to work for a period of time before they could even think about bringing their families over. This meant spouses and children were often separated for years, which placed considerable strain on families.

The new Caregiver Pilot Program, announced February 23rd, will allow overseas workers to bring family members with them to Canada with pre-approved Permanent Residency. Applications will be accepted between March 4, 2019, and June 4, 2019.

Eligibility for Permanent Residency will be determined before applicants arrive in Canada. They will be given a new, occupation-specific Work Permit that allows for changing employers without applying for a new Work Permit.

The pilot program will run for five years, and allow caregivers to bring their spouses, common-law partners, and dependent children. Spouses and partners will be issued Open Work Permits, allowing them to work for any Canadian employer. Children will be issued Study Permits, so they can register for school. Caregivers already living in Canada are also welcome to apply.

Vancouver Immigration Consultants Say Family Reunification Program Slated for Late January

Vancouver immigration consultants issue reminder that the Government of Canada will reopen the parents and grandparents sponsorship program in January 2019

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/22/2019 -- As immigration consultants in Vancouver, the team at Racer Immigration understand that choosing to immigrate to another country can be hard, especially if family members are left behind. That's why Racer's consultants are pleased to announce that the Government of Canada will reopen the parents and grandparents sponsorship program in late January 2019. For more, go to: http://racerimmigration.com/blog/
The Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP), allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor family members for Canadian permanent residence.

Up to 20,000 applications will be processed through the PGP in 2019. Invitations will be issued to the first 20,000 sponsors who submit an Interest to Sponsor form and meet the program's requirements. This first-come, first-served approach replaces the randomized lottery process that IRCC introduced last year, which many criticized as unfair to those who had been waiting for years to sponsor family members.

The decision to revert to a first-come, first-served approach was a result of "listening to stakeholders and clients," according to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and will hopefully streamline access to the program as well as improve client experience.

"Using this modified intake process will give the government more flexibility in the application process, ensuring that we receive as many applications as possible," the IRCC said.

Vancouver Immigration Consultants Urge Candidates to Seek Help Proactively

Vancouver immigration consultants say applicants should seek sound professional advice before an application is rejected

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/10/2018 -- For the Vancouver Canadian Immigration Consultants at Racer Immigration, navigating refusals is one of the realities of their job. But one of the biggest mistakes prospective Canadians can make is receiving a refusal before seeking professional help. For more, go to: http://racerimmigration.com/navigating-refusals-advice-from-canadian-immigration-consultants/

According to a new article published on the Racer Immigration website, navigating a refusal always results in more work as it requires understanding the reason for refusal and answering those concerns when reapplying. Moreover, it's important to realize that multiple attempts made in a short period can actually reduce the chances of acceptance.

Of course, while it's always best to work with a skilled Canadian immigration consultant or lawyer from the start, steps can be taken if an application is refused.

When an applicant receives a general refusal and they do not understand the concerns of the visa officer, it's important to hold off on submitting another application until the reason for the rejection is understood.

Try to obtain the notes of the officer who refused the application and prepare a thoughtful answer in subsequent forms. To get the notes that will provide insight into the immigration officer's concerns, an applicant must request the Global Case Management System or "GCMS" notes in their file.

Reapplying is an opportunity to provide more information and strengthen your application. But remember, the new application should be consistent with the old one. It's likely that the case will be looked at by a different officer—and it must stand on its own, without contradicting any of the facts or claims from the previous file.

If an application is rejected, and an applicant needs to understand why, a reputable Canadian immigration consultant can investigate a rejection and explain your case in detail. The province recently announced two new immigration categories for entrepreneurs:

Graduates of Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic with a Post-Graduation Work Permit can apply for the International Graduate Entrepreneur category.

The International Entrepreneur category, on the other hand, is aimed at foreign nationals who want to "create, join, or take over" a business in Newfoundland and Labrador. Those accepted through this category would receive a Temporary Work Permit to establish and operate their business.

Applicants to either category have to own and actively operate their business in the province for at least one year before they can apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

To be eligible, a Graduate Entrepreneur will have to have completed at least a 2-year program and have a Canadian Language Benchmark of 7 in English or French, as well as one year's experience in managing and owning a business.

An International Entrepreneur, on the other hand, will need a CLB of 5, $600,000 in net business and personal assets, $200,000 ready to invest in a new or existing business, and at least two years' experience managing and owning a business (or more than five years' experience in a senior business management role).

Vancouver Immigration Consultants Warn Applicants Not to Sign Away Their Chances

Vancouver immigration consultants warn clients to be wary of consultants willing to cut corners at the risk of success

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/20/2018 -- When applying as a prospective immigrant to Canada, honesty is always the best policy. As a team of Canadian Immigration Consultants, it's incredibly important for applicants to be fully cognizant of what they're signing. Putting too much confidence in a firm or consultant can be a risky prospect when it comes to seeking citizenship. For more, go to: http://racerimmigration.com/vancouver-immigrations-advisors-warn-dont-sign-away-your-chance/

Racer Immigration has helped many people who have received bad advice in the past. One of the biggest red flags is immigration consultants who ask applicants to sign blank application forms. This is a clear warning sign of unprofessional behaviour at the very least. The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) requires an applicant to answer all questions truthfully—including the completion of the application forms and supporting documents.

If false or inaccurate information is provided, Immigration Canada won't care that it's not the applicant's fault. They will be found to have misrepresented themselves, and this could result in a 5-year ban from further applications.

As a legal process, an immigration application is ultimately the responsibility of the applicant. An immigration service provider can provide help and guidance, but then can never—and should never—speak on the behalf of an applicant.

Vancouver Immigration Consultants Shares Details of the AIPP

Vancouver immigration consultants tout Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program as an alternative to the ITA

Richmond, BC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/28/2018 -- As a group of Canadian Immigration Consultants, the team at Racer Immigration know that the ITA (Invitation to Apply) isn't the end-all when it comes to immigration. There are places across Canada that want and need new people. The AIPP is a wonderful pilot program that aims to make Canada's Maritimes more attractive to new Canadians.

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) is a 3-year program aimed at bringing in as many as 7000 immigrants to Canada's Maritime Provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

The program offers a number of advantages over the ITA. For example, the required employment skill level is lower. In this case, job training or a high school education is sufficient. Work experience is not a requirement either, so long as applicants complete a 2-year school program at a publically funded institution in Atlantic Canada.

Language requirements are also lower compared to ITA requirements. Basic language requirements of CLB 4 in speaking, listening, reading, and writing are enough to meet application requirements.

Finally, AIPP aims to help newcomers with a unique plan designed to expedite adaptation to Canadian life. This includes referrals to community resources, help in locating housing and transportation, and assistance in enrolling for essential public services (health cards, SIN numbers, child tax benefits).
