Bats Plus to Comply with New USSSA Regulations in 2020

Tinicum, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/15/2019 -- The United States Specialty Sports Association is implementing changes, including new regulations on all softball and baseball bats, that will be effective by 2021. Bats Plus wants to make their clientele aware of these changes and will be offering any new bats under the current regulations for sale from their inventory.

As of September 1st, the USSSA moved its testing lab to a new location and partnered with NTS Chesapeake for bat validations. As an effect of this latest move and partnership, a new stamp of approval will be seen on all bats. Bats with older stamps will still be grandfathered in, but the new stamp will be a sign of things to come for newer regulations.

In June 2020, these new standards will start to be felt when bats that hit the market comply with the new regulations. The new regulations for 13u teams will be a maximum of drop 8 bats, and a maximum of drop 5 bats will be the new standard at 14u events. In July 2021, this new standard will officially be put into effect, with violators subject to automatic outs or even ejections. In short, players will need to use heavier bats, which might limit power hitters and lead to more outfield and infield plays.

These changes are going to affect how the game is played, so Bats Plus is raising awareness so players can keep their game at a high level and adjust to the new standards. With a diverse catalog of DeMarini fastpitch bats for sale, Louisville Slugger bats, Worth softball bats for sale, and more, Bats Plus wants anyone who buys from them to have the best equipment that meets all the industry's standards.

Bats Plus Joins in Celebration of Second-Straight U.S. Little League World Series Win

Tinicum, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/07/2019 -- The United States has yet again won the Little League World Series, with Louisiana defeating Curacao 8-0 in the championship game. This is the second year in a row an American team has won the LLWS, and fourth time this decade. Bats Plus, Delaware County's athletic resource providing brand-name slowpitch softball bats for sal e at great prices, is proud to show its support to the young men on this team.

The team overcame significant odds to clinch their victory. Louisiana, who had never before reached the final round, stunned the defending champions in Hawaii in the U.S. Championship round to advance. Further expectations were exceeded during the weeks of the tournament with players on the team setting records for most hits in a tournament appearance, as well as most doubles.

As part of the Mid-Atlantic region, Bats Plus also recognizes the Elizabeth, NJ team which represented the area. They ended their run with a 2-2 record, defeating Oregon and Rhode Island while falling short against Hawaii and the eventual champions in Louisiana. Pennsylvania has not represented the Mid-Atlantic region since 2015, but look to change that in the coming years.

With popularity on the rise, the current format of the tournament will be expanded as soon as 2021. Four new teams - two from the U.S. and two international teams - will be added into the LLWS tournament. With this change, new teams from different regions will have the chance to live out their dreams on youth baseball's biggest stage.

Bats Plus encourages young boys and girls to get involved in athletics at an early age. For adults looking to relive their Little League glory days, they are offering premium pricing on slowpitch softballs for sale and any other item necessary for adult baseball or softball leagues.
Bats Plus Advises How to Choose the Right Bat

Tinicum, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/18/2018 -- Bats Plus, one of the most reliable distributors of baseball and softball bats and other related equipment in the United States, is providing guidelines to help parents choose the right bat for their child.

Before anything else, Bats Plus encourages consumers to look through the specific regulations of the tournament or league the player will be in. All leagues below high school age come with their own bat regulations, and it's not unheard of for parents to purchase a bat for their child only to find out that it doesn't meet the league's regulations.

The significance of a player's age, height, and weight make a difference, too. High school baseball players are normally required to use drop 3 BBCor certified bats, while many youth leagues require bats that have the USA certification stamp or the USSSA stamp. A player's height and size will determine the bat's ideal length; this can be easily found by consulting a bat sizing chart.

Excluding wood, there are four basic types of material combinations that kid's baseball bats are made of; 100% alloy, 100% composite carbon fiber, alloy handle with a composite barrel, and composite handle with an alloy barrel. There are large variations in price between the low price point bats and the high-quality high price point bats, so it's important to decide which price point is best for you.

Lower price point bats are normally good for kids who may not play competitively or seriously, or who will outgrow the bat in a short period. More competitive kids may need the higher end bats so that they won't be at a disadvantage to the other players. Bats will normally fall inside a range $99 and $499. In general, there is a noticeable performance difference between the low and high price points.
