According to the Himachal Pradesh tourism department, the government has come up with a groundbreaking scheme called 'Har Gaon Ki Kahani' (the story of every village) to encourage tourists to tour Himachal Pradesh's villages. "The scheme is expected to generate plenty of employment opportunities for the local youth, as Shimla and other towns of Himachal Pradesh are popular for their folktales and local legends", said a government official.

"With the passage of time, the public have started forgetting what kind of Shimla it once used to be. Meanwhile, 10-day training is being given to the local youth of Himachal so that they can work as tourist guides. "It will be a good opportunity for us in terms of employment.
