As Past- President, Waldman will bring her experience to the Board with a focus on meeting the needs of members and the community at large.

Collaborative Practice San Diego is a non-profit work group consisting of Family Law Attorneys, Certified Divorce Financial Analysts and,Licensed Mental Health Professionals who serve as Divorce Coaches and as Child Specialists. These professionals work to meet the needs of families on every level as they transition through an inherently difficult process.

All professional members of the Collaborative group have taken the necessary training and met stringent experience requirements in order to qualify as Collaborative Professionals.

San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/20/2018 -- The three-hour program is for families with and without children, formally married or not, and same gender and opposite genders couples. Attorneys with the CFLGSD will explain the divorce process and what to expect along the way. Among the topics are:

- Traditional divorce

- Mediated divorce

- Collaborative divorce

"Each one of these avenues for divorce has pro's and con's," said Lynn Waldman, President of the CFLGSD. "In Divorce Options, you will hear from legal experts who are not representing you or your partner. You will get straightforward information on the process, not advice about your situation. We want you to understand what divorce entails from a legal, financial, and emotional point of view."

The workshop also covers, "how" to tell the children about your divorce, and how to manage emotions and relationships during the process.

"Divorce is more than just who gets what property and money. People and their feelings are involved too. The CFLGSD brings financial experts and counseling professionals to the workshop. They will tell you about your options and choices," Ms. Waldman said. "We are interested in making sure everyone in a divorce gets through the process with as little trauma as possible.
