Now seeking community support via Kickstarter, Our Forbidden Country is a stop-motion animated feature film about Queer culture and the Queer community.

Seattle, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/11/2018 -- Clyde Peterson, a Seattle-based artist working in film and animation, and director of Torrey Pines, is excited to announce his latest feature film, Our Forbidden Country. Our Forbidden Country a stop-motion animated feature film about Queer culture, community, and cruising.

Influenced by the writings of historic and contemporary GLBTQI authors, with a focus on stories surrounding the queer community, Our Forbidden Country touches on topics of secret and forbidden love and sex, and the lives of hustlers and impact of AIDS and other historic events. Using written materials and firsthand accounts, Peterson unearths remnants of gay culture formerly underground and explores the loss of an entire generation of vibrant queer artists in our "beyond the closet" society.

In Our Forbidden Country, celebrate the intimate moments within the queer community and explore the generational gaps between today's queers and their elders. A feature film of intensity, anthem, and memorial, Our Forbidden Country tells an impactful story about our society and the Queer community within.

Clyde Petersen is a transgender/queer articles working in film, animation, and music in Seattle. He is the director of Torrey Pines, a new autobiographical stop-motion animated feature film, which toured the world with a live score. Peterson is currently directing the film Even Hell has its Heroes, a documentary film about the legendary Seattle drone band Earth.
