An accomplished pianist, John DeGrazio began studying music at the age of seven. It quickly became a creative outlet as he began writing melodies and songs within a year of starting to play. Early training was primarily classical, but expanded to other genres including pop/rock later in his teen years. By the age of 15, he already had a solid grasp not only on the piano, but also guitar and other string instruments. It was then when he turned his attention to building a recording studio. By 1999, Watersound was complete with state-of-the-art design and equipment and has been modified and updated ever since. <br />

In 2001, DeGrazio released his first full length album Revolution. It was quickly picked up by Inspiration Media Group and distributed worldwide. Several songs charted on top Christian radio stations in the U.S. and the success of the album allowed new people to tune into what John was doing. At the height of their illustrious career, The Royal Guardsmen achieved what most rock groups only dream of. The sextet from Ocala, Florida hit it big in 1966 with the single, "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron," which was released on Laurie Records. The album reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and remained there for 12 weeks. It went on to sell one million copies, earning it Platinum certification from the R.I.A.A. in 1967. <br />

Subsequent chart-toppers followed, including: "Airplane Song," "Wednesday," "I Say Love," "Snoopy&apos;s Christmas" and "Baby Let&apos;s Wait." <br />

The Royal Guardsmen&apos;s original lineup consisted of: Bill Balogh (bass), John Burdett (drums), Chris Nunley (vocals), Tom Richards (guitar), Billy Taylor (organ), and Barry Winslow (vocals/guitar). Richards died of a brain tumor in 1979 and was replaced by Pat Waddell, who is still with the group today. <br />

Despite its massive success, the band split in 1969. However, its recordings continued to sell and remain in high demand around the world. In 2008, Burdett and Winslow teamed up to write and record "Snoopy Vs. Osama" in honor of the U.S. troops fighting the war in Iraq. The song has been featured regularly on the syndicated radio program, The Dr. Demento Show. <br />

In the spring of 2009, The Guardsmen&apos;s hit, "Airplane Song," was chosen as the theme song for Red Bull&apos;s Flugtag events and was aired in television commercials nationwide. Accompanied by his long-time partner David Alvey on guitars and backing vocals, Kay used the new Korg KRONOS to record and modernize all of the keyboard, synth and drum parts for the resurrection of his 25 year old original composition "The Challenger (Where No One&apos;s Gone Before)". <br />

"25 years ago, right after the event when I wrote and recorded a version of this song, the Internet was nothing like it is now," comments Kay. "There was no YouTube, no Facebook or Twitter - no social networking sites and forums to release this on myself. While I received some great responses and positive interest, I was unsuccessful in getting it released back then." <br />
<br />
In early 2010 Kay, now the developer of KARMA Technology at Karma-Lab and a partner with Korg and Yamaha, discovered that the 25th anniversary of the disaster was approaching, so he re-visited his effort and realized that perhaps the song might finally be able to find an appreciative audience. <br />
<br />
Kay found a challenge of his own in resurrecting the song: the tracks and the equipment used to play them were now decades old, and it would be difficult to restore them, particularly as the original master tape was decomposing and decaying. He could have re-recorded the song anew, though it had been years since he had regularly performed, but he felt the emotion held in his original performance would be more appropriate and vital. He found help restoring the tapes into new digital files, and brought his old equipment out of storage, including his now 30-year-old Apple II+ computer, which he successfully nursed back into working order. <br />

Born in Sweden in February 1959, Anders Helmerson has had a life-long love affair with music. In the 1970&apos;s, Helmerson played in various short-lived bands and studied classical music in Denmark and Sweden, all the while becoming more and more interested in synthesizers and progressive rock. Helmerson completed his debut album, "The End of Illusion," in 1981. The album&apos;s lack of success caused him to turn his back on music for the next several years. He worked as a surgeon in Copenhagen, a GP in Norway and a ship&apos;s doctor on a cruise-ship, eventually discovering Rio de Janeiro, the catalyst for his return to music. In early 2002, Helmerson release his second album, "Fields Of Inertia" on the Brazilian label, Som Interior Productions.<br />
