Clay's Climate Control Celebrates 20 Years Serving the Community of South Jersey

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/29/2021 -- Clay's Climate Control, a pillar of the business community in Linwood, New Jersey, is set to celebrate its 20th Anniversary in May. Owners Clay and Jen Pierce founded the company in 2001 on the foundation that they would offer a superior customer experience to the customers of their HVAC company.

It's that foundation that enabled the business to grow...and grow it has! Today, Clay's Climate Control employs 42 technicians and administrative staff and visits 235 clients every week. Their services include everything from heating and air conditioning to air quality control and generator installations. They stand by their motto, "You make the call, we'll handle it all!"

"I think we're successful because first and foremost both Clay and I want to make sure the customer has an amazing experience using a company in the trades," said Co-Owner of Clay's Climate Control Jen Pierce. "Notoriously, trade companies are not known for their customer service and we wanted to change that. Superior customer service is the focus of everything that we do and I believe that is a large reason for our success."

Partners in business and in life, the husband and wife team bring their shared values and strengths to the business.

"We have a great partnership between Jen and me," said Co-Owner of Clay's Climate Control Clay Pierce. "We're both perfectionists, we both wear our business hearts on our sleeves, and we give every single customer and coworker our best."

Building and maintaining relationships is another attribute that sets Clay's Climate Control apart from their competition.

"We don't take any relationship for granted whether it's with our customers or our employees," said Clay. "We strive to make sure that everyone feels valued, appreciated, and fulfilled."

Recently named the #1 Nationwide Residential HVAC Contractor of the Year by ACCA, Clay's Climate Control offers expert comfort consultants and professional, nationally certified technicians certified by NATE. Employees are treated like family and receive the highest level of training and benefits as well as a great work culture centered on their QTECH values: Quality, Teamwork, Enthusiasm, Communication, and Honesty & Integrity.

Community Involvement
Giving back to their community is important to Clay and Jen. In addition to their annual "First Responder Giveaway" contest where they donate a new furnace to a deserving first responder, they also sponsor local community events and support CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Every time a customer renews their Clay's Climate Control 3C Club membership, Clay's makes a donation to CASA in their name with the goal being that every child in the foster care system in Atlantic and Cape May Counties has a CASA volunteer representing them. After six years of making donations to this important cause, they have achieved their goal!

Family is Everything
In addition to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Clay's Climate Control, Clay and Jen are looking forward to another milestone event this year - their 20th wedding anniversary in September! As their business has grown over the past two decades so has their family and they are looking forward to all three of their children Cody (17), Brooke (15), and Ty (11) working at the family business this summer.

Clay's Climate Control Completes Installation of a Heating and Cooling System for a Deserving First Responder Family

Clay’s Climate Control, a family-owned and operated HVAC company that has been serving southern New Jersey since 2001, is excited to announce the completed installation of a high-efficiency heating and cooling system for Chris and Jesse Maher, the 2019 First Responder Giveaway winners.

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/25/2021 -- Lt. Chris Maher, a Margate firefighter, was nominated by 14-year-old Seamus Carey of Linwood in 2019. Seamus nominated Chris because of the impact he has had not only on his life but the lives of everyone in the community. Clay's Climate Control was set to install a furnace into Chris and Jesse's home, but due to multiple renovation projects and a new baby on the way, the replacement was put on hold by the homeowners, who suggested donating the new heater to another family in need.

Clay and Jennifer Pierce recognized Chris's many contributions to the community and in return, wanted to do something for him. The owners of Clay's chose to hold onto the heater until the family was ready. After several complexities and the many challenges that COVID-19 inflicted upon the Maher family, Clay's management team decided to install the entire two-zone system free of charge.

A job that normally would have taken the Clay's Climate Control team a little over half a day to complete evolved into a five-day project. Not only did the Maher family receive a new heater installation, but they were also gifted a new air conditioning unit, coil, thermostats, ductwork, registers, refrigerant piping, and gas piping as well as electrical work completed by C.P. Electric.

Clay and Jennifer are overjoyed at the opportunity to provide a brand new, high-efficiency heating and cooling system to a local, deserving family like the Maher's and look forward to the next First Responder Giveaway.

Clay's Climate Control Awards Local First Responder with Free Furnace and Installation to Celebrate the Winner's Impact Within the Community

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/09/2020 -- Clay's Climate Control has announced the winner of this year's Furnace Installation Giveaway to a deserving First Responder within their community.

This year's winner is Jessica Avellino of Egg Harbor Township.

Jessica is a local nurse at a long term care facility who was one of the front line workers to care for COVID patients during the initial outbreak of the virus.

Her husband, Wayne Avellino, sent a beautiful letter nominating Jessica. In his nomination, he wrote this about his wife, "After 12 + hour days, she would come home from work, start her day at our house then head to her mother's house where she helped care for her sister's six children and her own mother. Jessica never complained of her long and exhausting days, despite being painfully poked for Covid testing every week! She is a wonderful person who cares for others over herself."

This is the second consecutive year that Clay's Climate Control has offered this contest within their community. It is important to owners Jen and Clay Pierce that they give back to the community that has supported them and their business over the years.

"Clay and I both grew up in the area and we love to be able to support the community," said Co-Owner of Clay's Climate Control Jen Pierce. "We know that this year in particular has been very difficult for all first responders and healthcare workers. To be able to install a free furnace for someone deserving and in need warms our hearts. When Wayne's nomination of his wife was chosen as the winner we were delighted!"

As fate would have it, Jessica was given the news of her nomination and award on a special day for her and her husband.

"Jessica did not know that her husband had nominated her and when I called to share the news she was shocked," said Jen. "I read the nomination letter to her and she immediately began to cry. She reminded me that Clay's Climate Control did the original installation of their furnace almost 20 years ago! She also shared that the day I told her was their anniversary! What a present!"

Clay's Climate Control Has Been Named Contractor of the Year

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/21/2020 -- Clay's Climate Control — an HVAC company that has been serving southern New Jersey since 2001 — was named the 2020 Residential Contractor of the Year by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). This national award — which is given two only two contractors (one for residential, one for commercial) every year — is highly sought after by contractors throughout the country.

Prior to choosing the Contractor of the Year, a panel of ACCA Past Chairmen determine a group of finalists. This year's judges were Tony Shaker of Enfinity Partners, Larry Taylor of Taylor Consulting, Greg Leisgang of JonLe Heating & Cooling, Richard Dean of Environmental Systems Associates, Inc. and Stan Johnson from Stan's Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. Contractors who are considered for this award must meet the ACCA's criteria, which includes:

Delivering excellence
Administering superior heating and air conditioning services
Composing a team of credentialed and well-trained HVAC technicians
Offering friendly, reliable and helpful customer services

Making HVAC services easier for homeowners via a high-quality maintenance plan

Being committed to making it easy for customers to do business via technology (IE online booking and a booking app)

Since its inception in 2001, Clay's Climate Control has been going above and beyond for all of its customers. From the beginning, the owners of Clay's Climate Control — Clay and Jen Pierce — set out to provide a professional, stress-free experience for HVAC repairs, maintenance or installation. In order to achieve this, their technicians are all NATE and EPA-certified, and they offer 24/7 emergency service, a maintenance plan to make services more affordable, a referral reward payback program and a mobile app that takes the stress out of HVAC services. Now, with the title of Contractor of the Year added to their repertoire, it is safe to say that all of their hard work has been recognized.

"We are so humbled and honored to receive this award," said Jen Pierce, adding, "it's crazy to think that it was just me and Clay when we started our business 19 years ago. Although we started from scratch with not much business knowledge, the ACCA provided us with resources and tools that taught us the business side, ultimately helping us recognize our untapped potential. Plus, we knew we had a ton of technical knowledge that would enable us to turn our vision into a reality."

Jen went on to explain this vision, which centered around providing the highest quality of work and changing people's expectations about the home services industry. "Over the years, we have been fortunate enough to grow and be surrounded by co-workers who have the same vision. If it weren't for them, we would not have the company we have today, and we thank them for being by our side and sharing this achievement with us."

As a family-owned and operated company, Clay and Jen have also made it a priority to support their community, which is why they have been supporting the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association for years. In 2019 alone, Clay's donated $10,000 to this organization. Additionally, Clay's is also committed to making local high school students aware of all of the amazing opportunities that are available to them in the trades through a New Jersey Structured Learning Experience at Mainland High School.

In addition to supporting their community, Clay and Jen also recognize that they would not be where they are today without their amazing team. Not only has the Pierce family created a healthy and supportive work environment, but they have also pledged to create 50 new opportunities over the next five years — this pledge involves educating, training and reskilling American workers from high school age to near retirement.

Being able to add the Residential Contractor of the Year award to their portfolio is a dream come true for Clay's Climate Control, and they look forward to delivering excellence and living up to this title for years to come.

Clay's Climate Control Announces Lucky Winner of Their Healthcare Worker Air Conditioner Giveaway Contest

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/25/2020 -- Clay's Climate Control—a family-owned and operated HVAC company that serves southern New Jersey—hosted an air conditioning giveaway contest throughout the month of May, and on June 1st, they announced that the lucky winner was Kristy Dennison. Kristy typically works at the Cape May Court House Surgery Center, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, this surgery center has been temporarily closed. However, Kristy didn't waste any time finding a new place for her to give her services to and get involved, so the day after the surgery center closed, she immediately went to work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at AtlantiCare in Atlantic City, NJ.

This contest was set up because the owners at Clay's Climate Control, Clay and Jen Pierce, wanted to thank the frontline healthcare workers for all of the work they have been doing to fight the spread of COVID-19. On May 1st, 2020, voting was opened and nominations were sent in throughout the entire month. After reading Kristy's nomination letter, which was submitted by Michael Davis, it was clear that she is an exceptional individual who has gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"[Kristy] could have sat back and collected unemployment or waited for AtlantiCare to send her some place else, but instead, she reached out to the ICU where she spent 10 years and where her talents could be best used to help those in this time of need," stated Davis in his nomination letter. "[Kristy] has been working 4, 5 and 6 days a week since the shutdown and has offered to pick up shifts, days and nights, in Atlantic City or Mainland or wherever the need has been."

In addition to putting in countless overtime hours during the coronavirus crisis, Davis also acknowledged the fact that Kristy gave up her Mother's Day to work in the ICU. She made this decision after learning that the emergency room was "bursting at the seams" and was also anticipating an increase in COVID-19 patients from a nursing home.

According to Davis's nomination letter, Kristy's home "has an AC unit that is 30-years-old and has had an issue each season," forcing her to waste her money on repair after repair. Clay and Jen knew that this was a person who was not only deserving of being recognized for all of her hard work, but was also deserving of a new air conditioning unit.

"We were fortunate to be able to continue working through COVID-19 as an essential business," said Jen Pierce, owner and General Manager at Clay's Climate Control. "Giving back and recognizing the heroes in our community was very important to us, especially during this time." Jen commented that they received many nominations throughout the month for healthcare workers who were doing their best to keep people safe and were deserving of winning. However, she went on to explain that the judges who picked the winner "chose Kristy because of the selflessness she showed. After reading her nomination letter, we were equally as excited to replace her 30-year-old unit and let her know how appreciative we are of everything she's been doing for others throughout this pandemic."

Clay's Climate Control is no stranger to giving back to its community. In fact, they are an avid supporter and donor to the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association—a cause they have been supporting for five years and donated $10,000 to last year. Additionally, in September of 2019, they set up a giveaway contest similar to this one where they gave away a free furnace installation to a first responder. It is clear that Clay's Climate Control is there for its community in many ways and is always looking for ways to give back to those who go above and beyond to keep the community—and the people in it—safe.

Clay's Climate Control Gives Back with a Healthcare Worker Giveaway — Winner Will Receive a New Air Conditioning Unit

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/06/2020 -- Clay's Climate Control — a family owned and operated HVAC company that services communities throughout southern New Jersey — has announced that it will be giving away a free air conditioning unit to one lucky frontline healthcare worker. This giveaway contest comes during a time when frontline healthcare workers are going above and beyond to keep communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this is just one way that Clay's Climate Control is showing their appreciation.

Healthcare providers, which includes doctors, podiatrists, dentists, chiropractors, clinical psychologists, optometrists, nurse practitioners, nurse-midwives, registered nurses or clinical social workers who practice in the state of New Jersey, will be nominated via a submission system online. Nominators must provide their nominee's name, as well as why they are nominating this person. These submissions will then be judged by Diane Mitchell of the Mike and Diane show on 95.1 WAYV, Joe Molineux of The Press of Atlantic City and Joe Martucci, Meteorologist for The Press of Atlantic City. Once the winner is chosen, Clay's Climate Control will replace and install a new air conditioning unit, as well as the coil if deemed necessary.

"These past few weeks have been very challenging for everyone," commented Jennifer Pierce, Clay's owner/general manager. "Healthcare workers in particular have shown amazing courage. They have put the interest of the patients and public before their own. For this reason, we want to acknowledge their heroism by giving back."

This is not the first giveaway that Clay's Climate Control has done to show their appreciation for the people who protect their community.

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/04/2020 -- Every year, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) presents a national award to a residential contracting company with the honor of being the ACCA 2020 Residential Contractor of the Year. This year, out of thousands of contractors who belong to the ACCA and are eligible for this award, Clay's Climate Control is pleased to announce that it's that contractor that has won! Prior to choosing the Contractor of the Year, a panel of ACCA Past Chairmen determine a group of finalists. This year's judges were: Tony Shaker of Enfinity Partners, Larry Taylor of Taylor Consulting, Greg Leisgang of JonLe Heating & Cooling, Richard Dean of Environmental Systems Associates, Inc., Stan Johnson, retired from Stan's Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

From here, the winner is chosen, and based on the criteria they were judging on, Clay's won! Read on to learn more about what goes into choosing the winner and why Clay's Climate Control was voted Contractor of the Year.

Providing HVAC Excellence to Everyone and Everything
When it comes to choosing the Contractor of the Year, the ability to deliver excellence is a key component. This type of excellence includes:

Administering superior heating and air conditioning services, composing a team of credentialed and well trained HVAC technicians , offering friendly, reliable and helpful customer services, making HVAC services easier for homeowners via a high-quality maintenance plan, being committed to making it easy for customers to do business via technology (IE online booking and a booking app) and having been in business since 2001 — and having the drive to always improve — it's safe to say that Clay's Climate Control delivers on excellence every time.

Getting Involved with — and Making a Difference in — the Community
These days, more and more companies are making it a priority to not just benefit their bottom line but also benefit their community. Because of this, the ACCA has made this a component for Contract of the Year eligibility. As a family-owned and operated company, Clay's prides itself in participating in community events and doing everything it can to make its community a better place. In fact, a charity Clay's Climate Control holds near and dear to its heart is the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association. To help support this amazing cause, Clay's donated $10,000 to this organization in 2019 with the hopes of donating even more in the years to come. Additionally, Clay's is also committed to making local high school students aware of all of the amazing opportunities that are available to them in the trades through a New Jersey Structured Learning Experience at Mainland High School.

Going Above and Beyond for Employees
Supporting employees in a variety of ways should be crucial for all companies, which is why it's such an important factor that the ACCA considers during the nomination process. From providing employees with consistent training to making sure the HVAC techs can do their job properly and safely, there's no doubt that Clay's delivers on this. Not only has Clay's established a healthy and supportive work environment, but it has also pledged to create 50 new opportunities over the next five years — this pledge involves educating, training and reskilling American workers from high school age to near retirement.

Clay's Climate Control Donates $10,000 to CASA of Atlantic City

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/04/2019 -- Clay's Climate Control — the HVAC service experts of south Jersey — is excited and honored to be able to announce that they recently donated $10,000 to the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association. Although they have been donating to this organization for 5 years, this is the most sizable amount they have donated to date.

"As a business owner, there are many organizations that ask us to donate. For us, giving back to the community where we live, do business, and raise our family was always of utmost importance," stated Jen Pierce, co-owner of Clay's Climate Control.

After attending an event in 2015, Clay's Climate Control learned about CASA — what they did for the children in their community and how they did not have enough funds to help every child. It was after this event that Clay's decided to make CASA the organization they would donate to, and they began donating immediately.

As a family-owned and operated HVAC company that serves southern New Jersey, Clay's Climate Control prides itself in making giving back to its community a top priority. Jen, along with her husband and co-owner, Clay, have 3 kids of their own, so CASA — which provides court appointed advocates to children who have been abused or neglected — has been the perfect fit for this family of five.

"Over the years, we have attended multiple events where we have listened to children who grew up in the foster system, listened to foster parents, and listened to CASA Staff and Board Members share the current priorities of CASA and their vision for the future," Jen said. "All events caused us to feel like we needed to do more, [so] each year we increased our monetary donations."

And increase, they have. Thanks to this year's donation, Clay's Climate Control was able to provide a CASA to every child in Atlantic County and Cape May County, a fact that Jen Pierce said has "warmed our hearts."

"Our work is not done though — we want to continue to be able to provide a CASA for every child in the community for years to come," Jen said, adding that Clay's has committed to donating to CASA for at least another 5 years.

Eric Levai of Clay's Climate Control Was Recently Named Tech of the Month

Linwood, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/19/2019 -- Clay's Climate Control is proud to announce that Eric Levai, a Project Supervisor who is also celebrating his 10-year anniversary at the company, was named July's Tech of the Month by The News magazine for HVACR technicians.

Levai got his start in the HVAC industry 25 years ago, when a friend's dad hired him to help out with his business.

"I started working in high school, in the summertime, on weekends," he said. "I was the helper: getting what the guys needed," Levai reminisced.

Levai attributes his current knowledge and success to the hands-on training he did back in the day. These days, he carries this extensive experience into his newest training endeavor of all of the recent technology that has come out, such as Wi-Fi units, communicating units and mini split units.

"I like working with my hands," Levai said. "And I like that you get a little of everything: You get some electrical, you get some sheet metal, you get some plumbing—you get a lot of knowledge."

This knowledge, experience and passion has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by the owners of Clay's Climate Control—a company that was only a 5-person team back when he joined them ten years ago.

"Our company has grown to 30 employees and has moved out of our home garage into an office facility with warehouse space," commented Jennifer Pierce, Clay's owner/general manager. "Eric has grown with us every step of the way and is now a project supervisor who provides the layout and quality assurance checks on all of our installation work. His work quality is superb, and he has trained all new technicians to perform with the same integrity and quality."

With their headquarters based in Linwood, New Jersey, Clay's Climate Control serves the southern New Jersey area and does work on multi-million dollar beach homes. From designing where HVAC equipment should be installed to ordering materials and setting the other team members up for success, Levai plays a crucial role at Clay's.

"It can be very difficult to coordinate new construction work for multimillion-dollar beach homes and replacement work for our customers within everyone's time frame," said Pierce. "Eric handles this without getting frazzled and [does it all while] exceeding expectations."

In addition to his other responsibilities at the company, Levai is also the lead person on all of the quality assurance checks on every one of Clay's installation projects—a responsibility that he earned because of his exquisite attention to detail.

"His attention to detail allows him to catch any mistakes or potential problems before the installation is complete," Pierce praised.

Levai has no plans on slowing down when it comes to his growth in the HVAC industry. And being on the Clay's Climate Control team, where he feels employees are well-taken care of with great benefits, profit sharing, weekly training programs and other perks, he's excited for "what's coming down the road."

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Brandon Rost
President & CEO
beMarketing
Telephone: 1-484-351-8820
Email: Click to Email Brandon Rost
Web: https://www.claysclimatecontrol.com/
