Eco-story Supplies 3,500 LED Lights to Ansara Restaurant Group, a Red Robin Franchise Organization

LED Lights Bring Financial Savings to More Than 20 Red Robin Locations

Portland, ME -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/06/2011 -- Eco-story, a leader in LED lighting solutions, today announced its partnership with Ansara Restaurant Group, one of Red Robin International's largest franchise organizations. The project involved the installation of approximately 3,500 Eco-story LED lamps and is expected to achieve more than 1 million kilowatt hours of savings annually, which translates into more than $117,000 saved in utility costs per year. In addition, the switch to Eco-story's LED lights will save about 524 tons of carbon dioxide annually, which is equivalent to removing about 100 cars from the road each year.

Eco-story supplied Ansara Restaurant Group with LED par 20, par 30, and par 38 lamps for the interior of the restaurants and some exterior applications. The installation was complete in February 2011 and the restaurants are already realizing savings. Ansara Restaurant Group expects a return on investment in approximately 10 months from the installation. The majority of the stores will receive utility rebates and more than half received rebates of 50 percent of the lamp and installation cost.

"We worked closely with Ansara to ensure they had a customized product that fit their need for high quality light and also offered energy savings," said Bill Stauffer, co-founder of Eco-story. "It's great to see the positive financial and sustainable rewards they have already realized in their stores since our installation."

Ansara Restaurant Group, based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, is a family-owned leader in the restaurant industry. The company was founded in 1961 and currently has more than 22 restaurants nationwide.

Eco-story Rolls Out New LED Refrigerated Case Lighting Fixture

High-Quality LED Product Answers Demand From Convenience and Grocery Stores

Portland, ME -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/21/2011 -- Eco-story, a leader in LED lighting solutions, today announced that it has added LED refrigerated case lighting fixtures to its portfolio of products. Eco-story decided to add the product because of high demand for sustainable, uniform LED lighting in refrigerated displays for convenience stores, grocery stores and markets that require case lighting.

The standard case light operates at less than 19W per door, compared to the industry average of 26W, and has a single solid-state power supply and uniform light distribution. Stock color temperature is 3500K with a minimum 80 CRI, though custom color options are available. The fixture is offered in 48", 60", and 72" versions. The product carries a five-year warranty and is NSF and Design Lights Consortium approved. The majority of case installations are expected to realize return on investment in approximately two years.

"The main challenge with case lighting is how to distribute the light evenly and we've noted that many competing products create both dark and hot spots on the product," said Bill Stauffer, co-founder of Eco-story. "This new product not only cuts energy costs but also distributes light evenly."

In fact, the fixture offers a unique design that allows the light to be adjusted in stores to optimize light distribution for shelves that range from three to 12 inches deep. The refrigeration case light fixture is being manufactured in the U.S. and is competitively priced against similar products manufactured in China.
