Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicles Are Flying Off-the-shelf According to Egemin

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --06/14/2011 -- Egemin Automation Inc., http://www.egeminusa.com, has been manufacturing AGVs and Warehouse Management Systems since 1976. Egemin is a worldwide organization with operations on six continents. Egemin's center for AGV excellence is located in Holland, Michigan, where it employs all disciplines for success as the AGV industry leader. All AGV technology including design, software, and support is developed and owned by Egemin. Over 5,000 AGVs have been manufactured and installed with many being used by Fortune 500 companies.

"Off-The-Shelf" is a term with multiple meanings when referring to hybrid automated guided vehicles. Since the public release of the hybrid automated guided vehicle, sales for this new AGV are breaking industry records. "Apart from the automatic trailer loading AGV, I cannot remember a time when a new vehicle type created such a buzz in the marketplace," said Dave Noble, Director of Marketing and Communications at Egemin. "Hybrid AGVs are literally flying off-the-shelves." To date, hybrid automatic guided vehicles are moving over 10 million pallets annually. By the end of 2012, that number is expected to triple. "Our hybrid AGV is truly an industry game changer."

Companies in the food, beverage, plastics, consumer goods and big box retail distribution markets have chosen hybrid automated guided vehicles for their flexibility, familiarity, reliability and affordability. Combined with Egemin's Warehouse Management System (E'wms), organizations are realizing better than expected returns on investment using the Egemin hybrid automated guided vehicle solution.

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA), the leading provider of forklift trucks in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Latin America, is the primary component supplier for Egemin's Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicle. "When Egemin began its search for a component supplier, MCFA's reputation and commitment for providing quality lift trucks stood above the rest," said Jerry Dekker, President and CEO of Egemin. "Our customers expect the best from Egemin and the automated guided vehicle delivers a unique experience to material handlers."

The MCFA man-aboard forklift provides second meaning for the term "Off-The-Shelf." Morphing manual and automatic operations onto a standard off-the-shelf forklift provides the never seen before solution that easily allows an operator the ability to drive the vehicle manually and then place the forklift back into fully automatic laser guidance mode. The Caterpillar forklifts used are capable of 3,500 and 5,500-pound lifting capacities. They efficiently move pallets between manufacturing cells, warehousing and standard over-the-road trailers. With lifting heights up to 23', deep lane floor stacking, pushback rack, drive-in rack and standard racking are common interface points for these versatile vehicles.

So how does MCFA feel about its partnership with Egemin? "Egemin is an industry leader in the Automated Guided Vehicle marketplace and being able to contribute to state-of-the-art practices in material handling is an honor," said Kent Eudy, vice president of dealer sales, MCFA. "At MCFA, we always strive to create and support efficient and effective industry innovations."

The Hybrid AGV comes standard with industrial lead-acid batteries, laser navigation, advanced laser safety systems, graphical touch screen monitor, Windows OS on solid state drive (SSD) media and 802.11 wireless communications. Optional components based on specific system requirements include RFID readers, bar code scanners, 3D camera technology, robotic battery exchange system, automatic battery charging and mechanism side-shift.

Egemin Warehouse Management Systems Captures Inventory Accuracy

Inventory Accuracy Captured with Egemin Warehouse Management Systems According to Warehouse-Management.net

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) -06/13/2011 -- A recent issue Warehouse-Management.net recently reported that warehouse management systems are critical tools to deliver efficient and lean material distribution operation systems.

There are few warehouses that actually experience 99.9 percent inventory accuracy, and as many as 35 percent can drive productivity improvements with an automated environment.

Egemin is one provider set to extend such benefits to warehouses.

Egemin is a global organization and leading manufacturer of AGV's and Warehouse Management Systems. All AGV technologies including design, software and support are developed and owned by Egemin and are being used by many Fortune 500 companies.

Mark Stevenson, vice president for Egemin shared in a statement that Warehouse Management systems must link the logistic environment and equipment available in the warehouse and consists of two main modules. Warehouse Management Systems must be specifically designed to work with all forms of automation, as well as forklift truck fleets.

Stevenson has worked with many of the world's largest corporations, as well as holds a patent as co-inventor of ATL technology. He is considered one of the prominent authorities and experts on design and application of automated trailer loading systems and warehousing automation with automatic guided vehicles.

Automated guided vehicles are the ideal solution for the transport of end-of-line equipment to shipping in distribution centers. WMS solutions are very comprehensive and allow many add on elements that reap the benefits of AGV's. Such elements consist of track and tracking module, statistical KPI management reporting, trailer patterning, yard management, equipment alarm management, warehouse control systems and satellite storage.

Supported storage methods must be compatible with all basic storage methods, but also support the more complex methods, as well. Stevenson noted that Warehouse Control Systems integrate all automated equipment in a warehouse into one well-oiled and efficient transport system.

Automation Guided Vehicle Leader Opens New AGV Testing Facility

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --06/10/2011 -- Egemin Automation Inc. has been manufacturing AGVs and Warehouse Management Systems since 1976.
Since late 2009, Egemin, http://www.egeminusa.com, has been growing at rapid pace. With hybrid AGV sales going through the roof, a proven automatic trailer loading and unloading solution along with numerous warehouse management system orders, the need for a dedicated testing facility was necessary.

The new testing facility has six dock doors for automatic trailer loading and unloading operations, drive-in racking, push-back racking, static pallet racking and end-of-line conveyor stations. Currently, there are two automatic battery exchange systems installed in the test facility that allow for full system test prior to shipment to the customer. Automated trailer loading and unloading testing often requires multiple racking configurations, end-of-line picking capabilities and delivery directly to the trailer or to pre-staging lanes. The new facility has been set up to handle all of these scenarios.

Mark Stevenson of Egemin Discusses AGVs in Food and Beverage Journal

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --06/09/2011 -- Mark Stevenson is Vice President of Business Development for Egemin Automation, Inc., a global provider of Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems, Material Handling and Automation solutions. For twenty years, Stevenson has worked with many of the world's largest corporations on the design and implementation of automatic guided vehicle systems, including two of the first automatic trailer loading system in the United States, and he holds a patent as a co-inventor of ATL technology. Stevenson is recognized as one of the foremost authorities and subject matter experts on the design and application of automated trailer loading systems and warehousing automation with automatic guided vehicles.

In the current issue of The Food and Beverage Journal, manufacturing journalist TR Cutler noted, "Increasing profits with AGV automation is best achieved by reducing costs related to supply-chain management. Exploring methods of optimizing transportation of raw materials, work in progress, finished goods and flow of return goods drives bottom-line results. Production issues, particularly workflow, can improve operational efficiency and employee productivity."

Integration of equipment and processes along with operational complexity and dealing with best practices also generate economic impacts for cost-justification of the AGV automation expense.

Stevenson recently commented during ProMat 2011 that, "All guided vehicle solutions must be cost-efficient and made-to-measure. They must be fully automatic transport systems using unmanned vehicles. These industrial vehicles safely transport all kinds of products without human intervention within production, warehouse, distribution and shipping environments: the clear way to increase efficiency and profitability."

These systems consist of reliable off-the-shelf components. However, Stevenson notes, "We always tailor our vehicles to meet client requirements to lift, rotate, and shift goods, fetch loads from racks, store products in deep lanes, transport product across long distances, deliver them onto conveyors."

He went on to say, "Compared to other automatic transport systems, our system is not bound to the floor, which allows better use of the available working space. In addition, extensions or even relocations of the entire system can be easily achieved; systems also integrate with higher-level ERP and can be easily combined with other material handling systems like conveyors, stacker cranes and palletizing or packing machines."

Companies in the food, beverage, plastics, consumer goods and big box retail distribution markets purchase Egemin Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicles for flexibility, familiarity, reliability, and affordability. Combined with Egemin's Warehouse Management System (E'wms), organizations realize better than expected returns on investment.

Packmobile Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) System by Egemin Helps Deluxe Laboratories

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --06/06/2011 -- The Packmobile automatic guided vehicles, by Egemin, contain custom stainless steel fixtures that are designed to securely hold 1,000-pounds of 35mm film. The National Association of Theater Owners states that the number of indoor movie screens in the United States as of December 2009 is 38,605. On average, a feature length film is made up of seven 35mm reels. With those numbers, the Packmobile AGVs are kept very busy.

Egemin, http://www.egeminusa.com, recently installed Packmobile automated guided vehicle systems at Deluxe Laboratories in Hollywood, California and Toronto, Canada. The Packmobile AGVs transport thousands of feature length movie 35mm film reels at each facility.

The addition of automated guided vehicles to Deluxe's 35mm film processing has resulted in labor savings, improved ergonomics and better delivery reliability. Prior to the Packmobile AGVs, personnel were required to push heavy racks of reels between developing and imprinting, duplication, warehousing and shipping departments. Today, many of the movies you see at your local theater have taken a ride on Egemin's Packmobile automated guided vehicle.

Egemin VP Mark Stevenson Discusses Importance of WMS in Warehouse-Management.net

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --06/02/2011 -- Mark Stevenson, vice president for Egemin shared in a statement that Warehouse Management systems must link the logistic environment and equipment available in the warehouse and consists of two main modules. Warehouse Management Systems must be specifically designed to work with all forms of automation, as well as forklift truck fleets.

Egemin is a global organization and leading manufacturer of AGV's and Warehouse Management Systems. All AGV technologies including design, software and support are developed and owned by Egemin and are being used by many Fortune 500 companies.

A recent issue Warehouse-Management.net recently reported that warehouse management systems are critical tools to deliver efficient and lean material distribution operation systems. There are few warehouses that actually experience 99.9 percent inventory accuracy, and as many as 35 percent can drive productivity improvements with an automated environment. Egemin is one provider set to extend such benefits to warehouses.

Warehouse and Logistics News Reports AGV Leader Egemin and Miller Brewing Arrangement

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --06/01/2011 -- In 2004, the Miller Brewing company commissioned Egemin Automation to build a 35-vehicle AGV system that autonomously manages and controls the expedition zone. Each AGV (automated guide vehicle) was equipped with a dual fork unit capable of lifting and transporting two pallets of packed beers simultaneously with total weight carrying capacity of 2.5 tons per transport.

A recent issue Warehouse and Logistics News recently reported when it comes to safe, precise and automatic transporting of heavy pallet loads of beer and beverages, specialist control and automation company Keymas in association with Egemin AGV systems have provided many logistical solutions to some of the major brewing companies world-wide.

Miller Brewing adopt automatic transport of beer pallets

Miller Brewing is the oldest major brewery in the United States, employing 6,500 people world-wide in more than 40 countries and have over 100 branded products.

Each vehicle was equipped with an on-board computer responsible for the control and navigation of the vehicle, based on inputs from the on-board encoders and the laser scanner mounted on top of the vehicle frame that is constantly rotating. A central server computer carries out the data exchange with the vehicles and coordinates the transport orders. The system data is displayed in real-time with the in-house software system of the brewery and as a result, all stock and delivery information is readily available to the system operators at the click of a button.

The system is now fully automatic and provides continuous 24/7 operation moving goods entirely on an independent basis and ensures greater handling efficiencies, and considerable reduction in product damages and labor costs.

ForkliftAction.com Talks Egemin Hybrid AGV

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/28/2011 -- Egemin Automation Inc. (http://www.egeminusa.com) is the leading manufacturer of AGVs and Warehouse Management Systems since 1976. Egemin is a worldwide organization operating on six continents. Egemin's Center for AGV Excellence is located in Holland, Michigan, where it employs all disciplines as the AGV industry leader. All AGV technologies including design, software, and support, are developed and owned by Egemin. Over 5,000 AGVs have been manufactured and installed; many are being used by Fortune 500 companies.

Forklift News, ForkliftAction.com, Material Handling online, reports Egemin Automation Inc of Holland, Michigan recently demonstrated its E'gv hybrid automated guided vehicle (AGV) on a stock frame from Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklifts America Inc (MCFA).

Subsequently, on 31 March, Egemin announced that MCFA of Houston, Texas is its primary component supplier for the hybrid AGV. The E'gv combines traditional off-the-shelf benefits of a man-aboard forklift with advanced AGV laser and natural target navigation.

The hybrid AGV morphs manual and automatic operations onto a standard off-the-shelf forklift and is available with lifting height up to 23 feet (6.9 m) and a lifting capacity of 3,500 lbs (1,575 kg) or 5,500 lbs (2,475 kg).

"When Egemin began its search for a component supplier, MCFA's reputation and commitment for providing quality lift trucks stood above the rest," says Jerry Dekker, Egemin president and chief executive officer.

Egemin and MCFA began collaborating in 2008 and reached a formal agreement in advance of the ProMat 2009 show, says Mark Stevenson, Egemin vice president of business development. "The first sale of a prototype occurred in late 2008 to a mid-western food processor. Now, the sales are in the hundreds" of units.

While the technology is not deemed to be the broad answer to any AGV task, the E'gv is designed within the envelope of a forklift, allows automatic operations and is battery-powered — with the potential for fuel cell power in the future.

MCFA builds the forklift body and stand-up control content in Houston and ships the package to Holland for Egemin final assembly, says Kent Eudy, vice president of MCFA dealer sales. "Egemin is an industry leader in the automated guided vehicle marketplace and being able to contribute to state-of-the-art practices in materials handling is an honour."

During the demonstraton, attendees were able to experience how an operator can interrupt automatic AGV operations, drive the vehicle manually and then place the forklift back into fully automatic laser-guidance mode.

Optional technology includes radio frequency identification (RFID) readers through US plastic pallet pooler Intelligent Global Pooling Systems Co LLC (iGPS) of Orlando, Florida. Other E'gv options include bar-code scanners, three-dimensional camera technology, robotic battery exchange system, automatic battery charging and mechanism side-shift systems.

The four automation-related divisions of parent company Egemin International NV of Zwijndrecht, Belgium involve the material handling, life sciences, manufacturing processes and electromechanical requirements for infrastructure projects.

MCFA, a joint venture of Mitsubishi Group and Caterpillar Inc business units, manufactures and distributes Mitsubishi and Caterpillar forklifts throughout the Americas and, for North America, makes some Jungheinrich-branded warehouse products and handles distribution.

Modern Materials Handling and AGV Leader Egemin

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/27/2011 -- In the current issue of Modern Materials Handling, Lorie King Rogers, Associate Editor reported that Honda parts arrive at the distribution facility on a variety of carriers such as pallets, crates, trolleys and box pallets all with different dimensions. To handle the diversity, Honda chose a versatile automatic guided vehicle (AGV; Egemin Automation) system to transport product containers across inbound and outbound locations, and to intermediate storage locations.

In 1963, Honda opened its first overseas factory to manufacture motorbikes. Over the years, the company's business model has evolved to become an OEM supplier and spare parts company. Parts are manufactured at various Honda plants then shipped to one centralized location for storage and distribution before going out to Honda dealers in the network. While consolidating storage and distribution into one centralized DC was a strategic business move, moving the parts presented a materials handling challenge.

Since the AGV system was installed, Honda has a more orderly transport of goods throughout the distribution center and a significant reduction in damaged goods due to the precision fork placement and controlled travel speeds.

The automated process starts when the inbound operator scans the load type and the load's position. Then the system determines the zone to which the load must arrive. This triggers the AGV control system to send an AGV to the designated location.

The control system also sends the correct parameters to the AGV for accurate fork positioning. The AGV forks can be individually adjusted to fit the various fork pockets of the carriers so it efficiently moves product, regardless of whether the carrier is a pallet, crate, trolley or box pallet.

Honda has also experienced improvements to personnel productivity. Prior to the AGV system, lift truck drivers delivered racks of products, which were large and required a number moves per hour to keep up. Since installing the AGVs, Honda has been able to reassign drivers to new positions and let the AGVs handle the long distance transport of goods.

Egemin Packmobile Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) System Delivers in Hollywood

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/25/2011 -- Egemin, http://www.egeminusa.com, recently installed Packmobile automated guided vehicle systems at Deluxe Laboratories in Hollywood, California and Toronto, Canada. The Packmobile AGVs transport thousands of feature length movie 35mm film reels at each facility.

The Packmobile automatic guided vehicles contain custom stainless steel fixtures that are designed to securely hold 1,000-pounds of 35mm film. The National Association of Theater Owners states that the number of indoor movie screens in the United States as of December 2009 is 38,605. On average, a feature length film is made up of seven 35mm reels. With those numbers, the Packmobile AGVs are kept very busy.

Egemin Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicle Gets Attention of Dc Velocity

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/23/2011 -- The man-a-board forklift and the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) have finally become one. Morphing manual and automatic operations onto a standard off-the-shelf forklift provides manufacturing and distribution centers the ultimate in material handling flexibility.

Egemin Automation Inc.

In the current issue of DC Velocity, in a feature article titled, "Lift trucks a sci-fi buff would love," staff reporters suggest that the line between lift trucks and robots is quickly blurring noting the the futuristic products of Egemin.

Companies in the food, beverage, plastics, consumer goods and big box retail distribution markets purchase Egemin Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicles for flexibility, familiarity, reliability, and affordability. Combined with Egemin's Warehouse Management System (E'wms), organizations realize better than expected returns on investment.

DC Velocity Staff posits the question, "What happens when you cross a lift truck with a robot? You get some pretty creative vehicles that operate autonomously—which allows operators to spend less time driving and more time picking orders."

Egemin Automation's Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicle lets users operate a standard forklift either in manual mode or as an AGV. At any time, a driver can interrupt the automatic operations, take over the controls, and then return the truck to fully automatic laser-guided mode as needed. Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA) is the primary supplier of components for the system.

Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicles Are Flying Off-the-shelf

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/23/2011 -- Companies in the food, beverage, plastics, consumer goods and big box retail distribution markets have chosen hybrid automated guided vehicles for their flexibility, familiarity, reliability and affordability. Combined with Egemin's Warehouse Management System (E'wms), organizations are realizing better than expected returns on investment using the Egemin hybrid automated guided vehicle solution.

Egemin the AGV Leader Reports Importance of WMS in Warehouse-Management.net

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/23/2011 -- Egemin is a global organization and leading manufacturer of AGV's and Warehouse Management Systems.

AGV Leader Egemin Selected by Miller Brewing Reported in Warehouse and Logistics News

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/20/2011 -- Miller Brewing adopt automatic transport of beer pallets. Miller Brewing is the oldest major brewery in the United States, employing 6,500 people world-wide in more than 40 countries and have over 100 branded products.

In 2004, the Miller Brewing company commissioned Egemin Automation to build a 35-vehicle AGV system that autonomously manages and controls the expedition zone.

Forklift News Announces Egemin Hybrid AGV

Forklift News Announces Egemin Hybrid AGV

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/18/2011 -- Forklift News, ForkliftAction.com, Material Handling online, reports Egemin Automation Inc of Holland, Michigan recently demonstrated its E'gv hybrid automated guided vehicle (AGV) on a stock frame from Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklifts America Inc (MCFA).

Egemin Opens New AGV Testing Facility

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/17/2011 -- Since late 2009, Egemin, http://www.egeminusa.com, has been growing at rapid pace.

Egemin AGV at Honda According to Modern Materials Handling

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/16/2011 -- Egemin Automation Inc.

In the current issue of Modern Materials Handling, Lorie King Rogers, Associate Editor reported that In 1963, Honda opened its first overseas factory to manufacture motorbikes.

Rogers also noted that Honda parts arrive at the distribution facility on a variety of carriers such as pallets, crates, trolleys and box pallets all with different dimensions. To handle the diversity, Honda chose a versatile automatic guided vehicle (AGV; Egemin Automation) system to transport product containers across inbound and outbound locations, and to intermediate storage locations.

The man-a-board forklift and the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) have finally become one. Morphing manual and automatic operations onto a standard off-the-shelf forklift provides manufacturing and distribution centers the ultimate in material handling flexibility.

AGV's Improve Inventory Accuracy Food Safety and Quality According to TR Cutler

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/12/2011 -- In the current issue of Global Food Safety Resource (GFSR), manufacturing journalist TR Cutler noted, "Food and beverage industry requirements of automated guided vehicles are unique. AGV's must be equipped to handle palletized and unit loads of beer, soft drinks, cereals, candy, snack foods, in-process ingredients, packaging materials in manufacturing, cross-docking, warehousing, and trailer loading environments."

AGV systems in the industry support various storage types for pallets, racks and bins including block stacking, deep lane stacking or warehouse racking.

Few AGV manufacturers have In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements for food and beverage industries. AGV systems must meet the requirements for intermediate storage of food products. Automated guided vehicles must also take expiration dates of final products into account and organize warehouse shelves accordingly resulting in optimal food conservation at every point in the workflow.

The ability to modify the construction of an AGV is vital to ensure that it is compliant with stringent hygiene regulations, such as stainless steel frames, usage of fully sealed components. and encapsulated steer drive units to allow complete cleanliness of the AGV's.

Automated guided vehicles are implemented in any intermediate stage of food & beverage supply chains from trailer unloading, raw materials receiving. and transport to and from AS/RS to supply to processing lines, handling of finished products and trailer loading.

According to Mark Stevenson, "Warehouse Management Systems must link the logistic environment and the equipment available in the warehouse and consists of two main modules." Stevenson is Vice President for Egemin Automation, Inc., a global provider of Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems, Material Handling and Automation solutions. For the past twenty years, Stevenson has worked with many of the world's largest corporations on the design and implementation of automatic guided vehicle systems, including two of the first automatic trailer loading system in the United States, and he holds a patent as a co-inventor of ATL technology. Stevenson is recognized as one of the foremost authorities and subject matter experts on the design and application of automated trailer loading systems and warehousing automation with automatic guided vehicles. "Warehouse Management Systems must be specifically designed to work with all forms of automation, as well as forklift truck fleets," noted Stevenson.

Industry Today Looks at History of AGVs With Help from Egemin

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/11/2011 -- Companies in the food, beverage, plastics, consumer goods and big box retail distribution markets purchase Egemin Hybrid Automated Guided Vehicles for flexibility, familiarity, reliability, and affordability. Combined with Egemin's Warehouse Management System (E'wms), organizations realize better than expected returns on investment.

In the current issue of Industry Today, Dan Harvey reports Automated guided vehicle systems, commonly called AGVS, once seemed like a fantasy described in an H.G. Wells novel. Today it's becoming commonplace, thanks to Egemin Automation Inc. For almost 40 years, the Michigan-based company pioneered development and deployment. Efficient and cost-effective, the technology bolsters a company's bottom line.

To best understand the impact that automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS) have had on material handling, you need to look at Egemin Automation Inc. and its parent company. Part of Egemin NV, a Belgium-based international organization with outposts on several continents, Egemin Automation is the leading provider of AGVS.

First, a bit of background: In its previous incarnation and as part of the global Egemin NV operation, the Holland, Michigan- based Egemin Automation has manufactured AGVs and warehouse management systems for nearly forty years (it was established in 1976).

Within the history of these two organizations resides the evolution of automated material handling vehicles. Indeed, Egemin Automation's narrative could provide a fascinating PBS documentary (a Ken Burns-style project, perhaps) and David Noble, Egemin Automation's director of marketing and communications, would be the most appropriate narrator.

Miller Brewing and AGV Leader Egemin Reported in Warehouse and Logistics News

Holland, MI -- (SBWIRE) --05/11/2011 -- A recent issue Warehouse and Logistics News recently reported when it comes to safe, precise and automatic transporting of heavy pallet loads of beer and beverages, specialist control and automation company Keymas in association with Egemin AGV systems have provided many logistical solutions to some of the major brewing companies world-wide.

Miller Brewing adopt automatic transport of beer pallets

Miller Brewing is the oldest major brewery in the United States, employing 6,500 people world-wide in more than 40 countries and have over 100 branded products.

In 2004, the Miller Brewing company commissioned Egemin Automation to build a 35-vehicle AGV system that autonomously manages and controls the expedition zone. Each AGV (automated guide vehicle) was equipped with a dual fork unit capable of lifting and transporting two pallets of packed beers simultaneously with total weight carrying capacity of 2.5 tons per transport.
