Nissan has announced its support for a future NHTSA child safety program. Bakersfield Nissan shoppers can go to Nisan of Visalia to learn more about the Snug Kids program already in place.

Rumson, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/08/2011 -- Leading Bakersfield Nissan dealership Nissan of Visalia will be supporting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) Vehicle-CRS Fit Program. This is a future initiative aimed at helping consumers choose the proper child restraint system to fit their vehicles, which is similar to Nissan's Snug Kids™ initiative already in place.

The Snug Kids Child Safety Seat Fit Guide, which is available to Bakersfield Nissan drivers at Nissan of Visalia, was introduced after Nissan learned that some drivers were confused about which child safety seats were the most appropriate for their vehicle. After thousands of hours evaluating hundreds of child restraints, Nissan's child passenger safety technicians put together the guide as a way to help parents with the proper child safety restraints and with child safety tips as well.

Details about NHTSA's Vehiclde-CRS Fit program are not finalized as of yet, but Nissan's Snug Kids has been helping parents driving any Nissan model pick the right child safety restraints since 2002.

Child Safety Restraints Available to Bakersfield Nissan Customers

The parts and service department at Nissan of Visalia has Nissan-certified parts and accessories, including child safety restraints, available to drivers who bring their vehicle into the Bakersfield Nissan dealership. The helpful staff can install the parts from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and starting at 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
