OmniPay Wins Four Awards at Major US Payments Event

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/14/2012 -- OmniPay, the global payments processor, has won four awards at the 2012 Card Not Present (CNP) Expo in Orlando, Florida. These awards recognise outstanding success achieved by payment processors throughout the world. OmniPay won the four awards by virtue of its unique ability to provide a single global platform and service supporting the multi-currency processing requirements of many of the world's leading merchant acquiring banks, payment processors and eCommerce merchants.

The CNP Awards ceremony was attended by many of the world's largest payments processors, merchants and acquiring banks. By winning these awards, OmniPay has further demonstrated its market leading position for global payments processing. OmniPay was the only company to win four awards, namely customer choice for best processor, customer choice for best chargeback management solution, first runner up for best CNP program outside the US and first runner up for best chargeback management solution.

This latest industry recognition for OmniPay at a global level follows its double win earlier this year at the European payments awards, MPE 2012.

OmniPay's client base includes many of the world's leading acquiring banks, payments processors and merchants, including HSBC Merchant Services, Equens and PayPal. OmniPay processed $72 billion worth of transactions for 5.4 million merchants in 73 countries and 158 currencies in 2011. OmniPay manages its global payments platform and portfolio of products from its head office in Dublin, with international sales offices in New York and Sydney.

OmniPay won the best processor awards for a number of reasons highlighted by the CNP judging panel. These include:

- Operating the largest single global end-to-end and fully integrated payments platform

- Best-in-class, pioneering multi-currency processing platform and service that is unmatched in the industry

- Optimal transaction interchange qualification and economies of scale ensure a low cost, high value payments processing service for each customer

- OmniPay employs the most knowledgeable and experienced global payments team, managing more than one billion transactions per year

OmniPay won the best chargeback program awards in recognition of the highly innovative system it has developed to enable banks to automate otherwise very manually intensive business processes. It allows 83% of all credit card disputes to be handled electronically, with only 17% requiring manual operator intervention. The savings and efficiencies gained by the global banking industry are substantial. In addition, it is the only global chargeback program sitting on a single platform, and providing reach across six continents.

Hubert O'Donoghue, CEO, OmniPay said: "Dispute handling is the single most expensive element in a card operation today. On average, less then 2% of the card payments transaction volume contributes to 12% of the operating budget. Omnipay has been able to reduce the time to process a dispute by two thirds since 2005 and automates 5 out of every 6 disputes to hit its platform, without involving any personal intervention by an operator. Such solutions help to substantially reduce cost and grow profitability in the card business."

Speaking at the awards ceremony, John Power, Global Sales & Marketing Director, OmniPay, said, "To achieve this global recognition, following our recent success in Europe, is particularly invigorating for everybody at OmniPay and affirms our reputation as the world's leading global payments processor delivering competitive advantage to our customers."

OmniPay is a First Data company, one of the world's largest providers of merchant processing services.

Nathean Technologies Launches New Cost-Saving Solution for Public Sector to Help Alleviate Pressure of Public Spending Cuts

Customers include Cranfield University, University of Plymouth and the Exports Credit Guarantee Department. Nathean’s data analytics software helps users to make more informed decisions, and manage budgets and resources more effectively. New UK office opened in Coventry to support growing customer base.

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/29/2011 -- Nathean Technologies, a fast growing data analytics software company, today announced that it has developed and launched a new cost-saving solution for the UK public sector and higher education institutions, as they face increased pressures due to the recent government spending review.

Nathean's solution provides a fast and transparent analysis of all relevant data to identify inefficiencies and unnecessary spend across organisations.

Based on its experience working with public bodies, Nathean's solution is specifically aimed at those who are under pressure to find immediate cost savings and delivers efficiencies from day one of implementation. Nathean recently worked with a leading local authority where its software quickly identified 33% savings on the council's energy bills.

Cranfield University has deployed Nathean Technologies' data analytics software, Logix, and has realised cost savings in Finance and Procurement through easier and quicker analysis of their underlying financial application.

Ian Sibbald, Financial Controller at Cranfield University and current Chairman of the Agresso UK User Group said, "Like many other higher education organisations, reducing costs is high on our agenda. Logix is providing us with greater visibility of our suppliers and the value for money we are getting. This is helping us to identify areas in which we can save money and in the longer term will help us to rationalise our supplier base and negotiate more competitive terms with a smaller number of suppliers."

Nathean has invested more than £1 million developing its software further to ensure it can meet the evolving and pressing needs of organisations looking to make quantifiable and immediate savings.

The University of Plymouth and the Exports Credit Guarantee Department are also implementing Nathean Technologies' data analytics solution as they look to manage budgets more effectively, and achieve greater time savings and efficiencies.

Users of Logix can easily explore and analyse their underlying data, and extract essential intelligence in order to make informed decisions on how best to implement efficiencies across key areas including Finance, HR, Payroll, Supplier Management and Student Records.

Nathean is also announcing today, the opening of its first UK office at University of Warwick Science Park in Coventry. The opening of the new office follows increased demand for its software in the UK and will provide a central location to support its growing customer base.

Up to now, growth in the UK market has largely been driven by Nathean's partner network including UNIT4, which is Europe's second largest ERP supplier. The non-proprietary nature of the software and its ability to connect with multiple systems and data sources is what has attracted Nathean's customers to the Logix product range. For example, it is deployed on a number of business applications including Salesforce.com, Core HR, SAP Business One, Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing, Coins, Ceridian HR, Northgate and Atrinso.

Barry Moylan, Sales and Marketing Director at Nathean Technologies, said, "Public sector and higher education budgets need to be managed more effectively and cost savings need to be quickly realised to meet the strict new targets. Our software is already helping public sector bodies to achieve better results as it can immediately identify discrepancies and enable councils and education institutes to get more out of their data assets."

Fingal County Council Realises Major Cost Savings and Improved Efficiencies With Nathean Technologies

Solution has helped to identify cost savings and efficiencies across the council, including significant savings in energy bills, as well as reductions in procurement costs such as plant hire. Provides a more transparent and cohesive view of all data, enabling more informed decision making.

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/11/2011 -- Nathean Technologies Ltd., a fast growing Irish data analytics software company, today announced the successful implementation of its Logix Professional data analytics solution across a number of key functional departments in Fingal County Council. Nathean's solution is providing the council with major cost savings and improved citizen services throughout the Fingal area.

Fingal County Council provides more than 500 services to businesses and residents throughout the local area including housing, environment, planning, leisure, libraries, water, roads and economic development. With 24 elected councillors, 1,400 employees and 240,000 residents, Fingal's primary objective is to deliver excellent service at all times to local citizens and visitors.

Nathean has provided Fingal County Council with its highly-intuitive pre-packaged data analysis software, Logix Professional. The solution has provided council management and staff with a fast and simple tool to explore and analyse huge volumes of data. It has enabled users to make more informed decisions on key areas such as rates collections, purchasing practices, resource planning and attendance management.

Nathean implemented Logix Professional across relevant departments, with seamless and full integration with all databases and systems, including Agresso in the finance department and CorePay in the HR department.

Logix has delivered particular value-add to the procurement department. An 'Audit & Efficiency Unit' was set up by the Council to identify savings and efficiencies, and to ensure 'value for money' opportunities from suppliers were being optimised. Logix plays a critical role in helping to identify savings and providing the council with the ability to negotiate more competitive terms with suppliers. Examples of this included significant savings in energy bills, as well as reductions in procurement costs in areas such as machinery and plant hire.

Nathean's solution has also helped to remove costly administration for low-value purchases. Analysis undertaken by Logix highlighted that, on an annual basis, several thousand POs were being raised for supplier invoices of less than €50 which was resulting in a significant overhead payment for each of these invoices. Consequently, Fingal introduced credit card payments for all low-value invoices, saving major time and expense.

Gerry Duane, Head of IT and Water Services, Fingal County Council, comments: "We needed a fast, simple and cost-effective solution to leverage the value of all the data held across our organisation, and Logix Professional has given us this. Our users have expressed real satisfaction with its ease of use and the results it delivers. We can now make better informed decisions not only for the benefit of the council and its staff but ultimately for the people living and working in Fingal. Nathean's solution has allowed us to do so much more with diminishing resources. We're looking forward to extending the use of Logix on a wide range of existing and new projects."

Logix has also been used to improve citizen services, enabling in-depth analysis of private and public housing throughout Fingal. It is geo-coded to integrate with census data, photo libraries, Google maps and other GIS platforms to obtain a clear and up-to-date view of all housing in the Fingal area. This helps inform decisions on estate management, rental accommodation schemes and managing vacancy levels. Crucial information is also being provided to other council departments and divisions, helping to improve delivery of a wide range of citizen services including schools, roads, libraries and environmental matters.

Barry Moylan, Director of Sales and Marketing, Nathean, said, "Nathean is focused on assisting Local Government to drive down costs and deliver efficiencies. Logix enables management and end users to get answers to questions that facilitate better decision making in a quick and easy manner. It is providing greater insights into areas such as Finance, HR and Payroll. We are also delighted that Fingal County Council is leveraging Logix Professional to improve the quality of services to the hundreds of thousands of citizens that live in the Fingal area."

Unity Technology Solutions Delivers a Complete Virtualisation Solution to Daughters of Charity Service

Significant cost savings made in IT resources and management. Funds redeployed into enhanced care services and Electronic Client Record to be rolled out to 300 employees.

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/11/2011 -- Unity Technology Solutions, Ireland's leading independent provider of ICT Managed Services, today announced the successful implementation of a desktop, server and application virtualisation solution for the Daughters of Charity Service. This is providing applications and desktops to 300 employees around Dublin.

The Daughters of Charity Service has been providing services to people with intellectual disabilities and to their families since 1892. With 1,000 employees in Dublin, the Daughters of Charity Service provides a number of different residential options and community based services to its service users.

The Citrix solution, supplied by Data Solutions and implemented by Unity Technology Solutions, a Citrix Gold Solutions Advisor, has delivered such simplicity and ease of deployment that it is enabling Daughters of Charity Service to make significant savings in terms of IT resources. The centralised delivery and management of servers and desktop applications using Citrix XenDesktop, XenServer and XenApp has enabled the IT department to save time and money, and allows the organisation to concentrate funding on improving client care.

Thomas Mac Ardle, IT Manager, Daughters of Charity Service said, "The diverse clinical needs of people with intellectual disabilities require a multifaceted workforce which includes direct care and support and multi-disciplinary teams. It is essential these employees have 24x7 access to the most up-to-date applications such as client records, treatment notes and access to email to collaborate with colleagues.

"The Citrix solution allows us to provide a consistent experience for all of our employees, no matter where they are logging in from. They are not tied to being in one location and have the same icons presented to them, regardless of how or where they are logging in. They are never in doubt about what actions to take."

All of the Daughters of Charity Service's most critical applications are run on Citrix XenApp, such as its HR and Payroll, client reports and its main communications tool, Microsoft Office.

The Daughters of Charity Service is also currently testing a new Electronic Client Record system. This will eliminate the large amounts of paper records and will create highly accurate networks of information for its diverse teams. The simplicity with which this can be deployed using Citrix will remove all the time and pain from this process and any issues can be easily fixed from one location.

The Service also plans to provide Skype to all clients to make the cherished contact with families easier. Skype and Citrix recently announced a strategic partnership which will expand Skype's business offerings by providing powerful collaboration features for organisations of all sizes to set up and hold video meetings. As Unity are a leading voice and unified communications partner, the ability to integrate both the voice and data requirements for Daughters of Charity Service will be hugely beneficial.

Niall Gilmore, country manager, Ireland, Citrix said, "The main role of the Daughters of Charity Service is as a caring organisation for people with intellectual disabilities and while IT is essential to deliver an effective service it is not its primary function. Implementing virtualisation technologies has enabled them to reduce the cost of IT, as well as the time it takes to manage it. As a result it has been able to direct resources to where they are needed most, in the care of its clients."

Paul Sullivan, business development manager at Unity Technology Solutions said "We looked at the latest Citrix Technologies such as XenDesktop and XenServer to leverage the existing Citrix environment at Daughters of Charity Service to make it more efficient and easier to manage for their IT staff. Through this project we can see how desktop, server and application virtualisation can be used to help organisations and users at every level. Seeing what the Daughters of Charity Service is planning to do, particularly in terms of the electronic client records and video conferencing, demonstrates the tangible business benefits this technology can offer."

Onwave Raises €4.15 Million and Creates 30 New Jobs in Ireland As Part of Pan-European Expansion

€4.15 million has been raised from Nucleus Venture Partners to fund pan-European expansion. 30 new jobs to be created in the areas of R&D, project management, finance, sales and customer care. The vision is to eliminate the digital divide between urban and rural communities and create true competition everywhere.

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/04/2011 -- onwave, one of Europe's largest providers of satellite broadband services to the residential market, today announces that it has raised €4.15 million to fund the development of its new generation of pan-European high quality satellite broadband, TV and telephone services.

The investment was facilitated by The Halo Business Angel Partnership, which matched angel investors, Nucleus Venture Partners with onwave.

onwave is also announcing the creation of 30 new jobs as part of its European growth strategy. These positions will be filled over the next 12 months and will be based at the company's headquarters in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, as well as offices in Galway. The new positions will be in the areas of R&D, project management, finance, sales, information technology and customer care.

Simultaneously, onwave has opened an office in the UK and will be creating additional jobs as part of this move. The UK office will be used as a base to support management and sales for the region.

A three year broadband utility contract, worth more than €5m, was previously signed by onwave, which gives it pan-European rights to sell Eutelsat's next-generation Tooway™ satellite services throughout Europe. This will provide for the bundling of digital services over a single high-quality connection via the world's most powerful satellite, KA-SAT which went into service recently, on the 31st May.

The company was founded in 2008 by Kevin Ryan and Sean Og Brennan in response to the lack of a cost effective rural broadband service. To date, they have built a national network of residential and business broadband customers right across Ireland.

Kevin Ryan, CEO, onwave commented, "We want a world in which people are no longer disadvantaged just because they live outside the main urban centres. Access to high quality and competitively priced digital TV, broadband and home phone packages should be universal to everyone and not limited by a location. Our goal is to deliver high quality services and a competitive landscape for all customers.

"We will guarantee quality of service and speed of connections, backed up by our dedicated customer service team, which is based at our headquarters in Mullingar.
Terminalfour Transforms Online Communications at the Mater Hospital

New website is central communication tool between Mater Hospital, its patients and the general public. New website will reduce patient waiting times.

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/29/2011 -- TERMINALFOUR (http://www.terminalfour.com), a leading web content management company, today announced that its Web Content Management System (WCMS) is the underlying web infrastructure for the Mater Hospital's (Ireland) new website. This is part of the hospital's online redevelopment strategy, which is seeking to enhance patient and visitor communications, streamline operations and reduce waiting times.

The Mater Hospital is the main charitable general hospital serving Dublin's north inner city and has been at the forefront of Irish healthcare for 150 years. This university teaching hospital provides acute and tertiary specialist services. Annually approximately 16,000 patients are admitted (including 9,500 emergencies), outpatient attendances exceed 200,000 and approximately 48,000 patients attend the Emergency Department.

To improve online communications to all its stakeholders and introduce greater interaction and self-service functionality, the hospital decided to overhaul the old website and replace its existing web content management system. TERMINALFOUR was chosen to provide its WCMS.

TERMINALFOUR is providing the Mater Hospital with its flagship WCMS – TERMINALFOUR Site Manager. Its easy-to-use and intuitive publishing capabilities will enable the hospital to remove web-publishing bottlenecks, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate information on the site. The interactive functionality of the WCM software will enable patients to view and cancel appointments online, reducing the number of no-shows, and allow the hospital to reallocate the appointment to other patients. This will reduce overall waiting times for patients.

Innovative new features have been added to the website to create an improved experience when visiting the hospital. Visitors can find the nearest restaurant or shop, download maps or even send e-cards to a friend or family member in the hospital.

Accessibility features were also high on the hospital's list of requirements, particularly for its elderly patients and those with disabilities. TERMINALFOUR Site Manager's powerful accessibility features are enabling the Mater Hospital to adhere to the highest level of accessibility standards, opening up the website to all users.

Opening Spring 2012 the Mater Campus Hospital Development will address the need for modern buildings and equipment for existing services and provide significant additional capacity to service the Mater's growing patient needs. New facilities will include a new Emergency Department, new Outpatients Department, 12 new theatres, Intensive Care and High Dependency Units, New Radiology Department, 120 replacement beds (100% single rooms), new Central Sterile Services Department, Catering and Waste Management Department, New Energy Centre and basement car park (444 spaces). The WCMS will enable the hospital to provide information to the local and wider communities relating to the development and any impact on day-to-day operations.

Deirdre Hyland, head of information management services at the Mater Hospital said, "Improving patient care is at the heart of everything we do. The new website provides us with a fantastic platform and communication tool to fully engage with our patients, visitors and the community. This in turn will help us to drive improvements in our service levels."

"We are committed to providing excellent patient care to the Irish public, which means recruiting the best and brightest medical professionals from around the world. The new website will also serve as a key tool to attract specialists from a global medical community", she concluded.

Piero Tintori, CEO, TERMINALFOUR said, "The Mater is one of the busiest and best known hospitals in Ireland. It has a vast audience to communicate with and the website is one of its most important strategic assets. We have created a powerful, relevant and fresh site that will continue to demonstrate the Mater's ongoing commitment to excellence and the delivery of responsive patient care."

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/27/2011 -- Nathean Technologies Ltd. (http://www.nathean.com), a fast growing Irish data analytics software company, today announced that it is hiring 8 to 10 new employees to support its export-led growth plans. With demand for its dynamic data analytics tool increasing significantly in both the Irish and UK markets, Nathean expects to double exports and increase revenues by at least 50% this year.

Nathean has received fresh investment of €800k to support its international growth plans including the roll out of a comprehensive product and technology roadmap, with international sales and marketing initiatives being put in place. The investment is being supported by Enterprise Ireland and existing investors. The additional hires will be recruited over the next 12 months to cover a range of roles including R&D and business development.

The previous round of investment by Nathean of more than €1M in its Logix Professional software suite enabled it to develop unique pre-packed analytics for both ERP and niche business software applications. Logix integrates with multiple platforms and applications, and provides data analysis, business insight, collaboration and results from day one of implementation. Exciting new product developments include Cloud based analytics being made available for smart mobile devices, including the iPhone and iPad.

Nathean has a growing base of public and private sector customers in Ireland. It is also experiencing significant growth in the UK, which is being driven by its partner network including UNIT4, which is Europe's second largest ERP supplier. Nathean expects exports to make up 70% of its total revenues in 2011. It also has plans to extend the reach of Logix to other International markets by 2012.

At the invitation of the Municipal Information Office (MIO) in Hangzhou China, Nathean recently exhibited at the Hangzhou 5th Electronics & Information Fair. The visit presented a significant opportunity to assess the potential market for Nathean's Logix product in China and to investigate possible routes to serve the market. The Municipal Information Office in Hangzhou generously hosted Nathean while in China.

With the explosion in enterprise data, Nathean's easy-to-use and highly-intuitive data analysis software is helping business users at all levels to manage budgets, resources and costs more effectively. Nathean is gaining particular traction among Irish and UK public sector institutions and Educational organisations looking to achieve immediate cost savings, collaborate more effectively, and implement best practices across a number of areas including purchasing, payroll, payments and supplier management.

Maurice Lynch, Managing Director at Nathean, said, "Today, business users expect to be empowered with appropriate data analysis and reporting tools to ensure they are effective in their role. However, traditional BI vendors have been found wanting in this regard. Nathean Technologies understands the expectations of the next generation business user and Logix Professional delivers on these. With this latest round of investment and new hires coming on board, we are building a strong platform for sustained international growth."

This highlights an increasing demand for global connectivity driven by bandwidth demands of video, voice, data and other IP

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) --06/01/2011 -- Strencom (http://www.strencom.net), the data network and cloud computing provider and PacketExchange, a next generation Ethernet and IP network service provider with reach across Europe, North America and Asia, today announced a new partnership to interconnect their respective networks. The partnership is a response to the exponential growth in bandwidth intensive video, voice and data applications which is causing organisations to seek more bandwidth and migrate to IP.

The connection of the two networks enables Strencom's export oriented corporate customers to create global private networks via PacketExchange's global network footprint. It similarly enables PacketExchange's global customers to connect to their Irish operations via Strencom's extensive national network.

The service is aimed most particularly to organisations with multiple multinational sites, such as retailers, banks, manufacturers and utilities.

The fact that the network is built using Ethernet technology provides great flexibility in allowing customers to seamlessly increase bandwidth and capacity in their wide area networks when and where they need it. It also allows customers to significantly improve their network performance.

Commenting on today's announcement, Benjamin Shrive, UK country manager, Strencom said, "Export oriented companies have an important role to play in the Irish economy. With multiple international markets, they need access to a range of next generation networks to support their international business operations and services. Via PacketExchange, this partnership delivers the global connectivity these exporters need."

Andy Johnson, SVP Sales & Business Development at PacketExchange said, "Strencom enhances our ability to efficiently provision Ethernet services for customers in Ireland. As we provide global network services through our Network-Infrastructure-as-a-Service (NIaaS) solution, we needed a top quality local partner to roll out network connectivity to the exacting levels of service our international customers demand."
The newly developed website is now the primary point of contact between UMass Dartmouth and the millions of prospective American students that enter the third-level education market every year. In addition, the website is the key information resource for the University's 360 faculty members, its 9,432 current students and 40,000 alumni.

UMass Dartmouth Webmaster Donald King, said, "Our website is the first port of call for any potential students deciding on their undergraduate or graduate options and for our other stakeholders. TERMINALFOUR's Site Manager is so intuitive it allows us to have far greater control over everything we do on the website. Our colleges, departments and centers are now able to be be self-sufficient in keeping the website up to date rather than relying on our team. We can now spend our time and energy on creating and maintaining the most critical and high profile areas of the site."

"With the publishing restrictions of the previous site removed we are finding that the information on the website is continuously updating and is now much more relevant for all our audiences."

TERMINALFOUR Site Manager has brought additional functionality to the website, allowing the university to create and personalise user content. In enabling non-technical faculty and staff members to publish their own content without recourse to web specialists, it has improved the quality and timeliness of information available online for the many prospective and current students. It is also expediting the deployment of new web applications by the university's highly skilled web team and IT department.

Piero Tintori, CEO and founder of TERMINALFOUR, said, "With 75 university customers under our belt we have a lot of experience in this sector and now deliver web solutions to some of the world's most prestigious and information rich universities.

"We have taken the opportunity to learn from each implementation and use this knowledge in the development of our software. We now have one of the most modern and intuitive web content management solutions on the market."

30% of Irish Organisations to Implement Desktop Virtualisation

63% of these will invest in a desktop virtualisation project in 2011. Windows 7 will be significant driving factor for desktop virtualisation. Desktop virtualisation delivers long-term cost savings for Irish organisations

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/26/2011 -- Data Solutions, Ireland's leading value-add IT distributor, today announced results of a survey which shows that 30% of Irish companies plan to deploy desktop virtualisation.

The survey, carried out on behalf of Data Solutions, was conducted with 613 Irish CIO's, IT directors and IT mangers, and was completed in December 2010. Of those interested in desktop virtualisation 63% said they will be implementing a project in 2011. Only 15% of all those surveyed did not have a specific desktop virtualisation project in mind.

The main reason given by those organisations deploying desktop virtualisation was the long-term measurable costs savings they can achieve, coupled with the efficiencies it brings to the overall organisation. Those surveyed also see migration to windows 7 as a key driving factor for desktop virtualisation adoption in 2011, as it will help to reduce the associated migration costs and the lengthy implementation process.

In the UK, a similar study carried out in 2010, found a significant increase in the number of desktop virtualisation installations.

The study found that in 2009, only 35% of UK businesses were planning to or had already deployed a desktop virtualisation project compared to 82% by the end of 2010.

Michael O'Hara, managing director, DataSolutions said, "We expect to see a similar trend here in Ireland to what is currently happening in the UK. Indeed, we were recently awarded best growth partner for desktop virtualisation by Citrix, as we had the largest percentage increase in product revenue for this solution between Ireland, the UK and South Africa. This clearly demonstrates the strong growth in demand for desktop virtualisation in Ireland, as companies continue to see the benefits of enabling employees to work in any location and on any device."

Niall Gilmore, country manager, Ireland, Citrix said, "Irish companies of all sizes are now looking at desktop virtualisation and Citrix's ongoing relationship with Microsoft ensures that we can rapidly provide those organisations with solutions to offer tangible business benefits, helping customers reduce cost and dramatically improve business agility..

"Furthermore, the growth in numbers of personal devices being brought into organisations is directly driving interest in desktop virtualisation. Smart phones and tablets are putting a lot of extra pressure on the IT departments to manage these devices, and this in turn is driving demand for the technology, to help reduce this burden."

Methodology:
The survey was conducted by phone in 2010 and was commissioned by Data Solutions. Respondents were primarily made up of CIOs, IT directors and IT managers from Irish organisations of all sizes and sectors.
