On September 28-30, 2011 Smart-Soft presented its solutions at the annual InfoSecurity Russia exhibition at the Sokolniki exhibition center in Moscow.

Kolomna, Moscow Region -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/07/2011 -- This was the eighth year in a row that Moscow has hosted the international information security trade show. Two related events, StorageExpo and Documentation-2011, ran parallel to InfoSecurity.

Smart-Soft presented its information security solutions alongside with such companies as Microsoft, G Data Software AG, GFI Software, Symantec Ltd., Aladdin RD, Kaspersky Labs and others.

Visitors were interested in Traffic Inspector, a solution that monitors Internet activity and access, controls connections, and improves productivity by blocking unwanted web sites, ads and media-content. Guests at Smart-Soft's test zone had the opportunity to compete in a contest to test security system functions. Participants were asked to test the program's functionality and answer questions, and the highest scorers received copies of Traffic Inspector and Message Inspector.

The end of the exhibition was marked by the Itsec. Award ceremony, which made special mention of Smart-Soft's Traffic Inspector solution.

Smart-Soft sends its congratulations to system administrators on the day of their professional holiday.

The holiday was the brainchild of American systems administrator Ted Kekatos who was inspired by an advert for Hewlett-Packard laser jet printers which showed a line of employees bringing gifts for the IT guy.

Since Ted had installed the exact same printers he asked his colleagues, "Where are my tokens of appreciation?" but they just laughed. Which is how Ted ended up sending invitations to his friends to celebrate Systems Administrator Day. By meeting up with his system administrator friends for a picnic, Ted Kekatos began the tradition of honouring system administrators around the world on this day!
