Red Hot Cloud Services Brokerage, eBuilder, Named "Cool Vendor" by Leading Analyst Firm

Färögatan, Kista -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/20/2012 -- eBuilder, leading supplier of Cloud Processes for value networks, has been named "Cool Vendor" in the Cool Vendors in Cloud Services Brokerages, 20121 report by Gartner, Inc.

eBuilder is a leading provider of multiple business processes as a service (BPaaS) for: travel and expense management, order and fulfillment, procurement, and after-sales (reverse logistics) service, among others.

eBuilder's CEO, Bengt Wallentin says, "We are delighted to be profiled in the Cool Vendors in Cloud Services Brokerages, 2012 report. This honor will further motivate us to provide our customers with the automated, integrated, and optimized business processes that enable them to reach new levels of control, visibility, and cost effectiveness in their value networks of collaborating partners".

BPaaS is any business process delivered via the cloud to provide value to end customers. With BPaaS, one business process can be used autonomously by many customers. BPaaS entails automated, scalable delivery, pay-as-you-go access, and process-on-demand. The BPaaS provider is responsible for all business functions related to the business process, and this is where eBuilder excels.

eBuilder's solutions are unique in their ability to integrate and flexibly configure multiple cloud services to suit individual customer's needs, thus strengthening their performance far beyond that of the individual services. This delivers flexibility; customers are not chained to standardized business processes.

This integration is not limited to cloud services, however. Basically any software can be integrated into the processes. For example, eBuilder's solutions integrate all collaborating supply chain partners together with their various ERP systems; and they merge third-party services into customers' business processes, for example, third-party logistics are integrated into an order fulfillment or an after sales solution.

eBuilder's rule-based logic orchestrates the operation of the whole process and provides full visibility across all participating partners and systems. This enables customers to monitor, among other things, key performance indicators and to detect process exceptions that need to be handled outside the automated flow. eBuilder provides customers with superb process agility, which enables companies to reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and boost their ability to innovate.

eBuilder Teams up With Swedish Business Consortium to Support Transport Industry in China

Kista, Sweden -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/19/2012 -- eBuilder announces its association with Team Sweden, a business partnership between official actors and industry that aims to advance cooperation and trade between Sweden and China in the transport industry. Team Sweden is comprised of the Swedish Trade Council, the Swedish Embassy and Consulates, Growth Analysis, and Invest Sweden.

Minister Counsellor Jakob Kiefer of the Embassy of Sweden says: Last year's signing of the MoU and Action Plan for cooperation between China and Sweden in the transportation sector is a clear signal from official China on the attractiveness of Swedish transportation solutions for China's current needs of a safer, more effective and sustainable transportation system.

eBuilder integrates, automates, and optimizes transport-related processes

eBuilder's cloud-based solutions (called eBuilder Cloud Processes) are tailor-made for companies and government agencies that rely upon trading partner collaboration (value networks). These cloud-based solutions integrate collaborating business partners and their relevant systems so they can exchange information and documents electronically in real time. The Cloud Process's best-practice configurable business logic and rules automate the decision making in the transport and logistics processes and the execution of the process transactions. In addition, eBuilder's cloud-based solutions deliver end-to-end optimization, control, and end-to-end visibility throughout the entire value network.

Bengt Wallentin, CEO of eBuilder, says, China's objectives in the transportation sector tell us that eBuilder's solutions are needed now more than ever. eBuilder operates two key transport and logistics business solutions in the cloud: eBuilder Order Fulfillment and eBuilder After Sales (reverse logistics). These provide:

Efficiency in supply chains: eBuilder's cloud process drive the operation of the supply chains 24/7, executing according to the configured business rules and logic to shorten lead times and maximize throughput. They provide end-to-end visibility so transport and logistics managers can see what is happening in the flow when it happens and can see any exceptions that must he handled manually. Business intelligence reports and dashboards give managers a foundation for more effective logistics operation, planning, and for merging and consolidation, all important boosts to efficiency.

And they provide green and sustainability support: eBuilder enables the business partners in the logistics and transports process to exchange information and documents electronically. This reduces paper consumption. eBuilder hosts the processes in the cloud, which optimizes and consolidates IT usage and makes investing in individual IT installations/resources on which to run these solutions unnecessary. This reduces energy consumption. eBuilder's business intelligence dashboard provides real-time logistics information, enabling, for example, shipments bound for destinations in the same locality to be consolidated, reducing the number of vehicles on the road. This saves fuel and reduces the release of CO2 into the atmosphere.

Bengt Wallentin continues, eBuilder solutions also provide for the physical safety of both personnel and goods on the move: eBuilder?s business intelligence provides real-time information, which allows transports to be rerouted when any disruption is detected.

And of course, data security is of vital importance. All information is hosted and secured by eBuilder in its hosting environment. eBuilder provides focused operational expertise (including advanced data security), robust virtualization of networks, servers, storage, and applications. This provides on-demand scalability, flexibility and security far beyond the capacity and capability of most IT departments.

About eBuilder After Sales (reverse logistics)
eBuilder After Sales automates, rationalizes, and optimizes the product returns process: return order creation and validations, transportation management, logistics hub management, swap management, service center return processing and diagnostics, inventory/asset management, and claims management.

About eBuilder Order Fulfillment
eBuilder Order Fulfillment automates, rationalizes, and optimizes the logistics and goods distribution flow among buyers, sellers, and sellers? suppliers, including delivery and dispatch to warehouses, hubs, and customers. It handles everything from data warehousing and business intelligence to booking transport on the web and printing transport documentation and labels. It provides optimized order management, pro-active process monitoring, multi-criteria end-to-end search, and supplier contract management (including SLA and cost).

Per Port'n, Senior Project Manager at the Swedish Trade Council and Project Manager of Team Sweden?s transport initiative in China, says: We want to show the Chinese government that when it comes to the transport sector, Sweden is the most sustainable, environmentally friendly, safe, and efficient country in the world. And we want China to see that Swedish companies are their best choice for answering their transportation sector needs, both in the short and long term. With its cloud-based supply chain solutions, eBuilder fits naturally into this plan.

eBuilder Wins Prize in the EuroCloud Finals

Kista, Sweden -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/22/2011 -- Competing against 27 other European cloud suppliers, eBuilder won the EuroCloud 2011 award for the "Best Cloud Case, Private Sector."

This is the jury's reasoning: "… In this business case, the alignment of eBuilder with its clients DHL/Alfa Laval proved remarkable and showed the potential of the cloud for distributed companies and at a critical end-to-end level for the client. eBuilder was instrumental in enhancing the agility of its client in an ever changing and demanding market."

"This EuroCloud award is convincing recognition of the business value we deliver to our customers. Both winning the award for the Best Cloud Case Study (private sector) and being nominated for the Best Cloud Case Study (public sector) award confirm our position as a leader in delivering cloud processes for our customers' value networks. EuroCloud's work in promoting the European cloud service industry is extremely important," says Bengt Wallentin, eBuilder's CEO.

The goal of the EuroCloud Awards is to select the leading European suppliers of Cloud services in the four award categories: Best Cloud Service, Best Cloud Start-Up, Best Cloud Case Study (private sector), and Best Cloud Case Study (public sector). The selection process began earlier in 2011 at the national level with more than 100 European Cloud service suppliers taking part in 12 national competitions. 28 award winners from nine of these countries then competed at the pan-European level in the EuroCloud Europe competition, where eBuilder won the award for the Best Cloud Case Study (private sector).

"The overall purpose of the national and the European Awards is to promote innovation, to showcase the best in cloud services, and to demonstrate how effective and beneficial the implementation of Cloud services can be," says Michael Abrahamsson, Vice Chairman of EuroCloud and President of EuroCloud Sweden. Abrahamsson continues, "eBuilder has clearly shown how customers benefit from Cloud services."

A Pan European Concept for eSourcing and eProcurement

eBuilder and ATEXO expand their public sector cloud offering

Kista, Sweden -- (SBWIRE) --06/02/2011 -- The Swedish Cloud Process company eBuilder and the French e_government software company ATEXO have agreed to embark upon a European cooperation that will offer customers a complete solution with processes for eProcurement, eSourcing, and supplier connections across Europe. Both companies have extensive experience delivering IT solutions to government agencies and organizations; together they have over a hundred government clients in several European countries.

A Pan European e-Procurement Project

Government agencies are the largest buyers in the European Union; government purchases in Europe account for about 16% of total GDP, which is equal to €1,500 billion. But government agencies lag behind major industries when it comes to electronic data exchange with suppliers for eProcurement and eSourcing.

Governments want to manage their key processes with suppliers, such as tenders, orders, delivery notes, catalogs, invoices, and payments electronically. Lack of common standards for electronic information and a common eProcurement infrastructure have been obstacles to achieving this goal, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that want to participate in public procurement processes in Europe. EU member states have therefore put in place the PEPPOL project to transform public procurement significantly with the goal of strengthening SME competitiveness and participation. (PEPPOL stands for "Pan-European Public Procurement Online").

240 Swedish Government Agencies To Procure New IT-Solutions

From 2011 to 2013, over 200 Swedish government agencies and organizations will procure new IT solutions for e-commerce. This same challenge awaits virtually all countries in the EU.

"We have been designated as one of three suppliers to the ESV (Swedish National Financial Management Authority), and we have also set up the Swedish PEPPOL gateway — Sweden's procurement link to Europe. We are now building a European network of strategic partners to support the implementation of PEPPOL across the EU eBuilder's and ATEXO's common solution can be used by all EU countries and Norway, as well as in other markets," says Lars Ringsby senior vice president, Business Development, at eBuilder.

"Governments, local authorities and agencies are seeking efficiency in their procurement. They need a global solution that ranges from tendering to the end of the delivery-invoicing-payment process and that is designed to comply with the legal specificities of public procurement" says Pierre Fau, managing director at ATEXO.

The joint offering of eBuilder and ATEXO is the only integrated solution for both pre-award and post-award public procurement. This cooperation is long-lasting, originated in 2007 on the PROCURE project, a parent project of PEPPOL, of cross-border European e-tendering. Leveraging this experience, ATEXO was involved in the specification of the Virtual Company Dossier of for the PEPPOL architecture (pre-award).

This is PEPPOL

The broader vision for PEPPOL is that all companies in the EU and Norway, including SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), can communicate electronically with EU governmental institutions for all procurement processes. The goal of the PEPPOL project is to establish a pan-European pilot solution that can work together with existing national solutions and facilitate the procurement process for all suppliers in the EU and Norway.
