The Print Studio Offers an Easy Way to Buy Original Art from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

Art lovers can buy original art from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition online from The Print Studio.

Cambridge, Cambs -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/09/2011 -- The Print Studio, the home of internationally-renowned printmaker Kip Gresham, is giving art lovers the opportunity to buy world-famous art online. Work featured in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, the largest open contemporary art exhibition in the world, can be viewed — and purchased — on The Print Studio website.

The work by Stephen Chambers RA is part of a series of screenprints created at The Print Studio in 2010. Three of the pieces, 'The Country Of Pointed Firs', 'A Little Larger than the Entire Universe' and 'The Ordeal of Richard Feverel', are featured in the Summer Exhibition — and visitors can buy them from The Print Studio.

"This is a wonderful example of how the art world is mixing the old and the new," Kip Gresham says. "The Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy has been an essential part of the London art calendar for years, and regularly attracts thousands of visitors keen to see new and recent work by established and emerging artists. Those same visitors, as well as people who can't make it to the exhibition, can now go online and see the work and even buy it."

The Summer Exhibition attracts a high volume of entrants each year, with over 12,000 entries from 27 countries. The inclusion of Stephen Chambers RA is a measure of the attention his work gains from critics, who have praised him for his use of colour and exploration of different mediums.

"Stephen Chambers' work is already held in public and private collections around the world," Kip Gresham adds. "Now normal art lovers have the opportunity to join institutions like the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Arts Council, the British Museum and the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge in owning his art."

The work of Stephen Chambers RA can be viewed at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London until 15 August, and can also be viewed and bought online at http://www.theprintstudio.co.uk.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Kip Gresham
The Print Studio
Telephone: +44 (0)1223 416415
Email: Click to Email Kip Gresham
Web: http://www.theprintstudio.co.uk

Master Printmaker Demonstrates His Talent in Falkirk

Kip Gresham, the master printmaker from The Print Studio in Cambridge, is to demonstrate how he collaborates with major artists in a printmaking master class in Falkirk.

Cambridge, Cambs -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/09/2011 -- A unique exhibition of the work of world-renowned artists is being shown at The Park Gallery in Falkirk in July and August. On the 5th and 6th August, visitors will also have the opportunity to hear from, talk to and learn from Kip Gresham, the master printmaker behind the work.

The exhibition, In Visible Ink, features a selection of original prints created by artists at The Print Studio in Cambridge. One of a very small number of professional, multimedia and experimental workshops in the UK, the studio produces beautiful images in collaboration with the artists.

The results of that collaboration can be seen in the work on display with, for example, etchings by Willard Boepple sitting alongside screenprints by Stephen Chambers RA and plate etchings by Trevor Sutton.

Many of the pieces are already in major art collections worldwide and the artists on show regularly feature in major exhibitions like the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

"In Visible Ink is a walk through the variety of methods used by a range of different artists at The Print Studio," master printmaker Kip Gresham says. "Each piece is beautiful in its own right. Together, the collection presents an astonishing array of talent and techniques."

Kip Gresham will be explaining the printmaking process further in a Printmaking Master Class at Forth Valley College in Falkirk on Friday 5 August, and in a guided tour of the exhibition on Saturday 6 August.

For further information about the exhibition, the master class and the guided tour, please contact Park Gallery.

Master Printmaker Launches Major New Art Resource Online

In a move designed to offer art buyers, art lovers and art students access to the work of major artists from around the world, The Print Studio in Cambridge, England, has launched a new website where visitors can see and buy the work of over 60 artists, discover the background of the artists, and learn about the screenprinting process with online videos.

Cambridge, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/19/2011 -- Led by master printmaker and artist, Kip Gresham, The Print Studio has been trusted by artists, galleries and publishers for over a decade to create original prints that are exhibited and held by virtually every major art collection worldwide.

Kip Gresham himself has been a master printmaker for over thirty years and is a renowned figure in the printmaking world. He is often called upon by universities, colleges, galleries and other art institutions to lecture about printmaking, both in the United Kingdom and internationally.

The new Print Studio website gives visitors across the globe unique access to a portfolio of work, much of which is for sale, featuring artists such as William Boepple, Michael Brick, Alan Davie, John McLean and David Rayson.

"We want to give lovers of art the opportunity to look at, study, compare and even buy original art online," says Kip Gresham. "We're fortunate to work with many of the artists who contribute to, enliven and advance the art world. Visitors can now see the result of ten years' work, and enjoy access to the same collections admired and invested in by major art collections."

The various printmaking processes used by the studio are delivered through a collaborative relationship. This involves artists working closely with the studio to create original work in limited editions, some of which sell for thousands of pounds.

As well as viewing hundreds of pieces of work online, visitors to the site can see how the screenprinting process works through a selection of video tutorials, and find out everything they ever wanted to know about original prints, limited editions and printmaking.

"We're lucky enough to create original, inspiring and often deeply moving art every day," Kip Gresham adds. "Our new website demonstrates that."

Created by award-winning web designer, Susie Hinchliffe, the website can be found at http://www.theprintstudio.co.uk.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Kip Gresham
theprintstudio
Telephone: +44 (0)1223 416415
Email: Click to Email Kip Gresham
Web: http://www.theprintstudio.co.uk
