Event to be Held at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in RTP

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Hamner Conference Center auditorium at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

More than 100 researchers, scientists, executives, entrepreneurs and investors are expected to attend. Six professors from the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Nagoya University will present their latest research.

The keynote speakers will be Tim Bertram, Ph.D., chief scientific officer, Tengion, Inc. He leads research and early development activities in advanced cell-based organ regeneration platforms for the company. Dr. Bertram has served as a senior executive with Pfizer, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, and Procter & Gamble Co.
