Global Vision Takes Automated Proofreading Solutions to PharmaPack, Paris.

Montreal, Quebec Canada -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/22/2008 -- Global Vision, the leader in automated proofreading solutions for the pharmaceutical industry will be demonstrating its content verification capabilities at PharmPack, Paris, February 6-7, 2008. Located at booth F04, Global Vision will be giving live demonstrations on how their solutions can prevent a multitude of errors, including Braille errors, on pharmaceutical packaging.

"With many changing regulations and the need to achieve complete content integrity, it is becoming increasingly important for our pharmaceutical clients to be able to ensure complete accuracy on all packaging", says Global Vision President, Reuben Malz. "Our solutions are designed to eliminate the risk of errors and give you peace of mind during the content verification process".

Docu-Proof automatically compares files for textual differences and is well suited for the inspection of contracts, publications, artwork, inserts, and manuscripts. The software compares files in like and unlike formats, which allows you to verify inserts or other types of artwork to unformatted text files.

Digital-Page compares both graphical and textual elements between files of various image formats. Detailed accountability is attainable with its extensive reporting feature that documents all changes, thereby decreasing the chances of errors. Digital-Page can detect differences such as color differences, font changes, location changes and dropped or added text.

With the recent European mandate for Braille on medical cartons, Global Vision has also integrated Braille inspection capabilities into all its solutions and is working in collaboration with a top international pharmaceutical company to develop a groundbreaking solution to accurately measure dot height and width. The technology employed in BraillePoint will raise the standard for Braille measurement and verification and for ensuring Braille quality.

All systems meet EMEA and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.

Autumn Graphics Selects Global Vision

Global Vision’s Scan-TVS chosen to automate the proofreading process

Montreal, Quebec, Canada-- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/10/2007 -- Autumn Graphics, a prepress house specializing in a wide range of packaging graphics called on Global Vision, the leader in delivering automated inspection solutions, to help them ensure the accuracy of their production files during the inspection process.

Handling all the artwork inspections manually can be quite a laborious and time consuming initiative. "Before the Global Vision system was installed, our proofreading department could only inspect hardcopy proofs," says Autumn Graphics' President, Ben Abray. "Using hardcopies, the customer artwork approved proof would have to be overlaid with the contract proof generated from production. The two were then visually inspected for differences".

The fact that they could only deal with hardcopy proofs presented several problems for Autumn Graphics. They struggled with reducing the time spent inspecting, high costs and the accuracy of relying solely on the human eye to detect errors. The implementation of Global Vision's Scan-TVS Proofreader has allowed Autumn Graphics to inspect all final files to the customer supplied proof (be it a PDF or hardcopy) without the worry of having to manipulate the customer file. According to Autumn Graphics, this has proved to be invaluable in developing a more accurate inspection process.

"There is a certain comfort level that is provided by a full digital comparison that is unachievable with a manual system" says Ben Abray, "Global Vision really helped us develop a proofreading process that we are confident using every time". The system has allowed Autumn Graphics to reduce errors, inspection time and increase overall savings.

Global Vision Introduces Braille Inspection for Pharmaceutical Packaging

Montreal, QC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/15/2007 -- Inspecting pharmaceutical packaging in Europe has become more difficult and time consuming with the recent mandate to include Braille on all medical cartons effective 2010. Global Vision, the leader in automated proofreading solutions has recently integrated Braille inspection into all of their product suites. Global Vision's technology is designed to inspect artwork and documents of any format for errors and consequently increases proofreading accuracy, speed and process efficiencies.

"We know this is a growing concern for our pharmaceutical customers and their suppliers. Checking for errors in standard text is no longer adequate, they now need to ensure the accuracy of Braille as well," says Global Vision, COO, David Perlis. The current inspections are being performed manually dot by dot for every carton specification. However, relying solely on the human eye to prevent any type of error, including Braille makes the quality control process a laborious and time-consuming task.

As a result, Global Vision has integrated Braille inspection capabilities into all of their content verification solutions. The Braille detection technology has been designed to work in both hardcopy and electronic environments. The technology is designed to detect any type of difference such as color, location, and/or missing, added or misplaced text. The addition of Braille error detection ensures that the technology has the ability to locate all the types of errors a pharmaceutical manufacturer typically encounters.
