The managing director of MSG Marketing comments saying, 'this is great news as he is originally from Northern Ireland. A lot of people don't view Belfast as a 'main' UK city but Belfast has progressed massively in the last decade.' The nomination in the best supporting actor category is for his portrayal of Laurence Olivier in My Week With Marilyn, which tells the story of the fraught relationship between the legendary British actor and Marilyn Monroe.

Branagh, 51, is in the running for best supporting actor for his performance as Sir Laurence Olivier in Marilyn Monroe biopic My Week With Marilyn. He said: "It was a rare honour to play Sir Laurence Olivier. To be recognised by the Academy for doing so is overwhelming. I'm absolutely thrilled."
Belfast film-maker Terry George has also had his movie 'The Shore' nominated in the best short film category. Starring Ciaran Hinds, The Shore tells the story of a man who immigrated to America 25 years ago to escape the Troubles and is now returning to Northern Ireland with his daughter. MSG Marketing planted their roots here in Belfast with their head office based in the city centre. 'This city has so much potential, and it is all down to the people in Northern Ireland. We could have set up anywhere in the UK but we chose Belfast to be our hub for a number of reasons. In the office we are excited that Belfast is on the map with actor Kenneth Branagh nominated for an Oscar.' Continues the MD of MSG Marketing.

The nominations for the 84th Academy Awards were announced in Beverly Hills by actress Jennifer Lawrence and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Tom Sherak.

The night will be watch by millions across the world. This kind of ceremony is the highlight for many actors' careers; MSG Marketing will definitely be watching and holding thumbs for our local Kenneth Branagh.

MSG Marketing Investigates The Good, the Bad and the Pleasantly Surprising of Ireland

Belfast, Northern Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/01/2012 -- Heading to the pub tops the list of things to do when visiting Ireland - Barack Obama may agree. Belfast is a "hedonistic party town", Londonderry a "pleasant surprise", but "poor old Larne is a little lacking in the charm department". This is according to the latest Lonely Planet guide to Ireland, published on Thursday. MSG Marketing is based in Belfast, the managing director comments on the above finding saying, 'some may agree and some may not! Since moving here myself I have enjoyed what Belfast has to offer. Apart from Belfast offering an amazing platform for my company to grow, taking a look at the social scene, there is a lot to do.'

Now in its 10th edition, the guide said Ireland's financial woes have not dampened the spirits of a "resilient population". And another cliche, the country's love of an alcoholic beverage, also features heavily in the guide. In fact, heading to the pub tops the list of 21 things to do while visiting Ireland. Coming in behind that is visiting Dublin, Connemara and the Rock of Cashel, taking in some traditional music and hiking. 'Travelling around the world definitely gives someone a heightened awareness of social dynamics and culture. This is why I love to travel and it reflects in the way I run my company,' continues the managing director of MSG Marketing.

While referred to as not "the prettiest of cities", Derry was lauded for a "great riverside setting" and a "determined air of can-do optimism that has made it the powerhouse of the North's cultural revival". Coordinating Author Fionn Davenport said the reputation of a warm and friendly population meant visitors from around the world. "Times are tough, but the Irish are adaptable people and cope well with whatever comes their way," she said. "The new guide shows just how much the nation has going for it in terms of fantastic scenery and buzzing towns and villages." Tourism is a very important part of a countries economic growth which is why good feedback from visitors and travel publications is important. MSG Marketing a growing sales and marketing company moved to Belfast to expand their client's customer base. 'The results speak for themselves which is why we have expanded our office space to double the size,' continues the managing director of MSG Marketing.

MSG Marketing Discuss Research That Shows That Belfast Is One of the UK's Top Five Most Productive Cities

Belfast, Northern Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/01/2012 -- Belfast has made it onto the list of the top five most productive cities in the UK.The breakdown of figures across the UK for 2009 and 2010 has just been released. Topping the list of cities by a long stretch is Inner London West, followed by Edinburgh, then Inner London East, Berkshire, and Belfast. MSG Marketing is based in Belfast City centre and is delighted with this news with the Managing Director saying, 'this is good news for the people of Belfast going into 2012. MSG Marketing moved from Cardiff to Belfast in June this year as we believe Belfast is a viable market for what we do, the growth we have achieved in Belfast has been astronomical!'

When you look at the figures for Northern Ireland as a whole the picture is very different. In 2009 Northern Ireland was the least productive region. In 2010 Northern Ireland rose just above Wales, but still lags far behind England and Scotland. MSG Marketing can see there is a lot of work that needs to be done in Belfast, but at least this research shows that the city is taking steps in the right direction. 'Northern Ireland's focus needs to be on improving the economy as this will have a ripple effect on everything else.' continues the Managing Director of MSG Marketing.

MSG Marketing plans are to ensure that their business continues to expand and cover all parts of Northern Ireland. 2010 figures show that Wales now produces a little less than Northern Ireland per head of population, but Scotland and England are still considerably more productive at £20,220 and £20,974 per head respectively. MSG Marketing Director wraps up his thoughts on quite simply saying, 'the more people are able to earn the more they are able to spend and put back into the economy.'

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

MSG Marketing
Email: Click to Email MSG Marketing
Web:

MSG Marketing Examine The Impact of 4,000 Public Sector Jobs Go In Northern Ireland

Belfast, Northern Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/01/2012 -- Four thousand public sector jobs have gone in Northern Ireland in the last year. However, Northern Ireland is faring better than any other UK region according to analysis from consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers. From a starting point of 227,000 public sector workers in Northern Ireland, the job losses mark a reduction of 1.8%. MSG Marketing entered the Belfast market in June 2011 and has experienced massive growth.

The Managing Director comments on the above statistics saying, 'in certain sectors there has definitely been a substantial drop in jobs. Our clients have been thrilled with our results, with the amount of new paying customers we provide them. The economy certainly is harsh, but here at MSG Marketing, we are continuously growing!'

MSG Marketing, in Belfast City Centre is expanding and decided to take on a new client in the entertainment industry. A source from MSG Marketing said, 'unlike most sectors we are in a fortunate position as there will always be a need for what we provide our clients.' Between December 2009 and June 2011, UK public sector employment fell by around 290,000.This was offset by around 600,000 new private sector jobs, but PwC said the majority of these appear to be part-time.

In Northern Ireland the public sector is still faring much better than the private sector, where job losses have been severe. New analysis by Ulster Bank economist Richard Ramsey reveals that Northern Ireland's private sector has shrunk back to a level last seen in 2003. Going backwards in economic development is never a good sign for the people of Northern Ireland. The statistics are not encouraging! The Managing Director of MSG Marketing wonders if this job loss will stop, going into 2012. 'The 2012 Olympic games will provide some relief for people around the country, and will hopefully spread to Northern Ireland in some way,' continues the MD of MSG Marketing.

Recent figures released from the Department of Finance and Personnel have painted a gloomy picture of key parts of the private sector such as construction, production and services.A combination of these figures gives an overview of how the private sector in general is performing.Output has shrunk 17% since a peak four years ago and now sits at a level not seen since 2003, meaning the private sector in Northern Ireland has effectively lost eight years of growth.

The weakness of the private sector combined with ongoing cuts in the public sector means the current jobless total which tops 60,000 is likely to continue to rise in the months ahead. 'This is not going news for the people of Northern Ireland going into the Christmas season,' Continues the MD of MSG Marketing.

MSG Marketing was established in 2009 to service an identifiable gap in the market, and has gone from strength to strength. Offering their clients unparalleled face to face customer acquisition teams throughout the UK and Europe, they strive to provide efficient, transparent and unique procedures to ensure outstanding results for theirclients. This company will definitely see a productive 2012 with the work ethos the Director talks about and stands by.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

MSG Marketing
Email: Click to Email MSG Marketing
Web:

100 Years After The Titanic Sank, Many Have Booked The 12-Day Memorial Cruise, MSG Marketing A Sales And Marketing Which Is Based in Belfast Takes A Closer Look

Belfast, Northern Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/31/2012 -- MSG Marketing is based in Belfast, and recently there is a lot of buzz around the city regarding the Titanic memorial cruise that is set to take place in the next few months. The managing director of MSG Marketing says, 'it is important that this event takes place as it affected so many at the time. It was a devastating and unbelievable reality when the news spread that the ship had sunk. So many people lost their lives and they should be remembered for what they had to endure while on the ship.'

A century after the Titanic set sail on its fateful cruise across the Atlantic, an historic recreation of the journey has almost sold out – 19 months before it hauls anchor. The Balmoral sets sail from Southampton, England, on April 8, 2012. Aboard will be 1,309 paying passengers – exactly the same number as boarded the original cruise. Many will be watching the ship set sail and documenting the trip. Aboard the ship there are many history buffs, passengers looking for a unique holiday experience, academics as well as relatives of those that died on board as a way to gain some closure and say goodbye. MSG Marketing's managing director will be following the cruise closely as he has always been intrigued to find out more about historical events like the Titanic. 'Wanting to make world history turned fatal for many on board that day and I truly hope that 200 years from now this day will be remembered.'

It will follow the Titanic's exact route, passing by Cherbourg on the French coast and stopping at the Irish port of Cobh before steaming across the Atlantic. On April 14 – the day the original ship struck an iceberg 100 years earlier – passengers will take part in a special memorial ceremony.

The Balmoral will continue its journey to Halifax, Nova Scotia – the burial place for many who lost their lives – before docking in New York City on April 19.

"For me, it's about being able to stand above the wreck exactly 100 years after my great grandfather died, and to be able to throw a flower down for him," said Sharon Willing, from Arizona.

Her relative, Herbert Fuller Chaffee, went down with the Titanic. His wife, Carrie Toogood Chaffee, escaped in a lifeboat. "I have grown up with this knowledge that my great grandfather died in that ship. This trip will bring closure to many people and it's going to be very, very poignant," said Sharon.

The Balmoral's cruise-goers come from 24 countries including the USA and Canada, Europe, Australia and South America. During the 12-day trip, cruise-goers will eat dishes that would have been served in 1912. Music and entertainment will reflect the era, and passengers are planning to dress in period costume. World-renowned experts will give lectures, telling the story of the Titanic throughout the cruise. Capturing the essence of that time period is crucial to the voyage so to really understand what it was like for those passengers.

MSG Marketing is based in Belfast and will be part of the action when the ship docs in the Irish port of Cobh.
