About Old Chatham Golf Club
Established in 2001, Old Chatham was a vision of Triangle area business leaders. Their dream of a golf course central to Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, yet tucked away from the region's rapid growth, became a reality. Offering 400 acres of rolling hills rich in native pines and oaks and just minutes from the I-40 corridor, Old Chatham is unlike any golf course in the Triangle.

Designed by the renowned golf course architect, Rees Jones, the idea behind the Club is to let nature define it. The lines from tee to green remain very similar to what they were before ground was ever broken. This provides members and guests a place to escape to the tranquility of an uncrowded retreat, characterized by one-of-a-kind hospitality with an emphasis on quality and comfort.

Golf Channel Host Gary Williams Debuts Old Chatham Clothing Line on Show

Golf Channel’s Morning Drive host wears Old Chatham sweater from the new Hogan line

Durham, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/30/2012 -- Golf Channel host, Gary Williams, debuted Old Chatham's new Hogan clothing line on Friday's "Morning Drive" show. The Hogan line is a significant name to Old Chatham, as Hogan is the club's nine year old British Lab that employees and members have grown to love as a part of the Old Chatham family.

Gary Williams is an old friend of the Golf Club and has showcased several Old Chatham sweaters in the past on his show, but this is a first for the Old Chatham "Hogan" Collection, which has an extra special meaning to the luxury Durham golf club.

Hogan has been a welcoming feature at Old Chatham since 2004, when he was just a nine week old puppy. Since then he has grown to become a staple of the Old Chatham golfing community. The friendly, well-mannered dog sits in the range while John Marino, the Old Chatham Golf Pro, gives lessons and greets members and guests in and around the clubhouse. He's beloved by the members and has become such a signature part of the OC experience that a set of hybrid t-shirts were created in his honor in 2010. Hogan's own personal logo, featuring short legs, a stocky tail and a red collar, debuted this past holiday season on hats, shirts, sweaters and accessories throughout the OC pro shop.

"Having Hogan at the Club has been wonderful. He greets every member and guest with a wagging tail and he has become a big part of the overall experience at Old Chatham. We even have a few members that keep dog biscuits in their lockers for him. He is part of the fabric of Old Chatham and every time you are greeted by him it's like you are returning home." says Old Chatham Golf Pro, John Marino.
