This Black hero's name was Shakyamuni, better known as Buddha. India progressed under Buddhist but later killed by Hinduism. During India Buddhism A Black king by the name of Asoka sent Buddhist missionaries worldwide to spread the Buddha's teachings. Buddha means wisdom. He introduced the world's 1st equalitarian religion that challenged not only the cast system, Buddha in the Lotus Sutra made women were equal to men. Buddha was known worldwide as the "Prince of Peace."

No human in the world has more ancient monuments or statures of himself than Buddha. The Buddhist religion reached Asia, Africa and Europe. Iwaki who was assigned as the Chief Priest of Chicago that covers Memphis, asked Rev. Iwaki to visit the national civil rights museum and offer a prayer for Dr. Martin Luther King and America. Rev. Iwaki declined in 2008. In their meeting Rev. Iwaki told Elmore to leave culture out of Buddhism. Elmore notes that Rev. Iwaki is more than a "Priest" he is being"Japanese." In 1986 Japanese Prime Minister Yashurio Nakasone described Japan as a "highly educated and fairly intelligent Society"…. Much more so than America because "Black people, Puerto Ricans and Mexicans." On March 8, 2012 President Barack Obama will host Ghana President John Evans Atta Mills in the oval office. The Tuxedo in the picture was made in Ghana. The cloth in the picture was made in Mali. A cotton grower grew the cotton, perhaps someone spun the cotton into yarn. The yarn was purchased by a family that processed the yarn with fruit dyes and fermenting the mud and making a caustic soda to bleach the fabric. A broker purchased the fabric in Ghana and sold it to a merchant at the Ghana Art center. The material went from the art center to a Ghana tailor where it was configured into a Tuxedo. FedEx or KLM made money shipping the garment. The Garment gets to Mem-phis and a small business earn income selling the garment. President Obama purchased his 2009 Tuxedo made by the 125 year old union shop Hart Schaffner Mark. The Tuxedo sells at Nordstrom Department Stores for $895. Many small African American businesses sell African Garments out of a suitcase trying to make a living. African Influenced products gives small business owners an opportunity.

Elmore who had a paid for home and store was so convinced regarding creating jobs and industry in both Africa and America that he mortgaged his life away by creating the 1st "All African Home in America." Elmore spent a half year in Ghana furnishing his 5000 square foot home in America using African craft people. Despite the craft people having no roof, running, water, electricity we were able to product quality products equal or superior to furnishings in American homes. In 2007 Elmore had the opportunity to speak with Liberian President Ellen Sir Leak Johnson in Memphis he invited her to see his Safari home during her Memphis visit. She instructed her ambassador to visit the home, but the Ambassador never showed. Brad Martin asked the President of Sax's to look at marketing the African Style Tuxedo.

Elmore notes Memphis was the largest plantation city in America and residues of the Plantation Mentality exist in Memphis today.

Memphis is the "Cotton Capitol of the World." Memphis also was the "Slave Capitol of the world" where a Memphis Mayor by the name of E.H. Crump better known as "Boss Crump" created an almost 20th Century Plantation system in Memphis. Elmore notes; "the spirit of Crump lives today". In early 1900's an unfair $2.00 poll tax in Memphis was in place. Blacks were too poor to vote in Memphis. Crump purchased thousands of dollars of poll tax tickets and gave Blacks watermelons, barbeque and red drinks in exchange for votes. After the Civil war Memphis was considered one of the best cities in America for Blacks to live. Crump removed all of the gains of Blacks in Memphis.

Crump created an almost literal 20th Century Plantation in Memphis. In 1968 when Dr. King was killed in Memphis, Dr. King walked into America's premier "Plantation City" where "Cotton was King" & King was killed. Racist Whites in Memphis sent the world a message. The video shows the day after Dr. King's death Memphis Mayor Henry Loeb with a "Shot gun" under his desk. Memphis was a city that delivered "Good ole boy Justice" While Memphis, Tennessee is known worldwide for its "Soul Music Industry" this video reminds the world that racist Whites purposefully destroyed the Soul music industry that favored Blacks in Memphis. In 1992 Memphis elected its 1 st African American Mayor Dr. W.W. Herenton. Mayor Herenton was once the most powerful Political figure in West Tennessee. While he was once a popular Mayor, a 2010 "Disparity Study" revealed that this Black Mayor did not support Black Businesses. Elmore tried for almost 20 years to get his friend Dr. Herenton to support family, trade and Industry with Africa. While Memphis has a 62% population of African descendents the City of Memphis does not have one single physical educational icon that will educate, inspire and give its African American citizens a sense of African pride, culture and history. Blacks had to ask for Mr. Crump's permission to do anything.

Elmore notes that in 2012 while we have an African American President whose father is from the African Country of Kenya there exists a climate in Memphis, Tennessee where there is an "aversion" to African pride and culture. In unspoken terms "it might not make Memphis Whites happy to see African American demonstrating African cultural pride. Other ethnic groups have infused their culture into mainstream American life. While we have Hamburger and Beer from Germany, suits from Italy, a Chinese restaurant on every corner in America; Elmore finds that it is a "Challenge" in 2012 to ask African American Mayor A.C.
