Social Calendaring Platform, Calfix, Announces New Design and Integration Platforms

Calfix makes sharing calendars convenient with Facebook, Google+, and Twitter integration

San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/11/2012 -- Calfix, the calendaring platform that makes sharing events easy, announced the completion of its total-site redesign today. The newly revamped Calfix website features integration with Facebook, Google+, and Twitter, as well as the ability to upload events with photos and videos.

"Facebook Events allows users to post their social event listings, and Google Calendar offers a more personal online calendaring system. Calfix combines these platforms, allowing the user to see their friends' calendars and create events that can be shared via social media platforms, as well as within the Calfix domain," said Reid Jackson, founder of Calfix.

On a Calfix user's profile, all personalized appointments and events appear within a shared calendar. Each user is able to see what other friends are doing and when, unless privacy settings are used to prevent it. Events created on Calfix can be rated, mapped, and commented upon.

"I found it frustrating that I would have social events calendared on Facebook, but have no way to see my other, more personal events simultaneously on a calendar-like interface. Moreover, my friends couldn't see what I was up to, which made coordinating an outing for seven friends quite labor intensive," added Jackson.

In addition to the added integrations, Calfix now showcases a crisper design with bold Navy blue coloring and an "event ticker" tied to the latest uploaded events. Since its launch in 2011, Calfix has acquired over 30,000 users.

About CalFix
Calfix allows users to create a calendar, share it, and sync it with friends and family. Created in 2011, Calfix is a social calendaring platform that integrates social media sites, a traditional calendar with sharing capacity, and an event uploading design that utilizes photos, videos and rating abilities.

Del Mar Rendezvous Is Cooking up Creativity With Upcoming "Noodles for Doodles" Fundraiser, Supporting the San Dieguito Boys & Girls Club

The modern Chinese restaurant will donate 10% back on purchases to the local club’s art programs, in honor of March being both National Noodle Month and National Youth Art Month

San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/09/2012 -- In line with March's National Youth Art Month, Del Mar Rendezvous is cooking up its modern Chinese dishes for a good cause. To show its support of local youth art programs, the Del Mar restaurant will host its "Noodles for Doodles" fundraiser benefitting art programs at The Boys & Girls Club of San Dieguito.

From March 1–19, 2012, Del Mar Rendezvous will observe National Youth Art Month by donating 10% of items purchased, by customers who mention the promotion, to the local organization's art programs.

"The community of Del Mar has been extremely supportive of our restaurant over the past eight years, so whenever we have the opportunity, we are always happy to support local causes," said Del Mar Rendezvous' Managing Partner Daniel Schreiber. "With all of the recent budget cuts, and this being both National Noodle Month and National Youth Art Month, we thought it would be a great time to support a Del Mar charity that does such great work for our community."

At Del Mar Rendezvous, guests can choose from over 20 noodle dishes, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Popular items include: Shanghai Style Noodles, Seafood Pad Thai, Rendezvous Chow Mein, Rendezvous Lo Mein, Singapore Chow Konnyaku Noodles, and Chow Fun.

"We hope that this will mobilize the community to join us in this effort to assist with the art programs at our local Boys & Girls Club," said Schreiber. "With over one hundred dishes to choose from, well, you could have something different every day. Just stop in, enjoy your meal, and we'll take care of the rest!"

Del Mar Rendezvous participates in numerous community efforts throughout the year and is involved with events both on-site and \at the restaurant. In November of last year, the restaurant donated a custom bench to the Del Mar Village Association, which is now installed just across from the front door of the restaurant.

The Boys & Girls Club of San Dieguito is a non-profit organization that serves over 25,000 youth in north coastal San Diego, an area known as San Dieguito. Its six branches and special programs offer exceptional programs for youth including after school activities, summer activities, music, theater, aquatics, athletics and educational enhancement.

My Perfect Pet Releases New Single Source Protein Food Blend

Knight’s Blend is made with lean Angus beef and assorted vegetables to provide a complete and balanced, lower calorie diet for adult dogs

San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/09/2012 -- My Perfect Pet, the award-winning frozen fresh pet food company, announced the release of its new lower calorie, single protein source food, Knight's Blend, today.

Knight's Blend is formulated with fresh lean beef and loads of vegetables for a slightly lower calorie diet – ideal for dogs that love beef, but need to trim down to their ideal weight. The grain free, single source beef protein keeps it simple for dog owners trying to isolate protein allergies. When compared to other My Perfect Pet blends, Knight's Blend is slightly higher in protein and lower in both carbohydrates and glycemic index. Knight's Blend is 100% complete and balanced based on AAFCO nutrient profiles to provide nutritious energy for adult dogs.

"Since beef is considered a neutral food by holistic practitioners, it neither warms nor cools the dog's system, making our Knight's Blend distinctly compatible with all types of holistic diets" says president of My Perfect Pet, Karen Scoggins. "And just like our other blends, Knight's Blend is named after one of our own 'kids:' Knight is our baby; a one-year old black lab adopted through Lab Rescuers."

Knight's Blend contains fresh Angus Beef, lightly baked to comply with FDA recommendations for safe handling and consumption. In addition, fresh, raw vegetables including green beans, broccoli, zucchini, cranberries, spinach, and whole, baked potatoes, make Knight's Blend a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber that are easily digested. My Perfect Pet does not use any processed ingredients in any of its products, only fresh whole foods, plus a few added vitamins and minerals to make them 100% complete and balanced.

The first two stores that started customer opinion testing sold out of Knight's Blend in just two days and both stores have already requested more product. Knight's Blend can be purchased in the standard quantity of a four-pound retail bag with eight food bars, at eight ounces each or in a 24-pound case with 48 bars total.

My Perfect Pet customers can look forward to two more Specialty Blends coming out within the next month – an Ultra-Low Glycemic Chicken & Ultra-Low Glycemic Beef. These will be released through local San Diego vets, and will be available for direct shipment with veterinary acknowledgement. Formulated for dogs with special dietary needs, like the Snuggles Blend that offers a more bland, lower mineral diet, these blends are formulated for dogs that need a restricted carbohydrate diet. My Perfect Pet food does not cure or treat any health-related issues, it offers fresh food diets that promote the healthiest environment within the dog's system.
