Conscious Contraceptives Kicks off College Fundraising Competition to Improve Global Sexual Health

ConCon.org provides new Support for International Change volunteers with trip sponsorship

San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/21/2012 -- College students, contraceptives and HIV/AIDS prevention are coming together in a nation-wide competition this spring. Conscious Contraceptives (ConCon.org), the globally conscious organization delivering contraceptives directly to consumers through a convenient and discrete online store, announced its College Campus Competition today. The competition begins on March 4th and ends on May 1st at 12:00AM PST.

During the competition, ConCon.org pledges to contribute donations toward trip sponsorship for new Support for International Change (SIC) volunteers in 2012. For each individual order received utilizing the designated discount code at the time of check out, ConCon.org pledges to donate toward the university associated with the discount code. There is no limit to the number of orders received or the donation amount contributed by ConCon.org.

In addition to the per order donation, ConCon.org will also provide an entire summer village fee sponsorship to the college that generates the most orders within the duration of the competition.

"SIC is a collaboration of motivated students and alumni from several colleges across the country driven to advance global sexual health. As their partner, we created this competition to provide the student volunteers with a fundraising tool which easily empowers them to exceed their fundraising goals," said Cory Capoccia, founder of ConCon.org.

ConCon.org's College Campus Competition will raise donations for SIC volunteers traveling to rural communities in Northern Tanzania to help fight the spread of HIV/AIDS. A comprehensive set of sustainable and community-based services will be provided by SIC volunteers, such as: training and supporting a network of community health workers, mobile clinics, mobile testing and counseling, awareness campaigns in schools, facilitating support groups, and income generating projects for community members living with HIV.

Founded in 2002, SIC aims to limit the impact of HIV/AIDS in underserved communities and to train future leaders in global health and development.

Participation spans college campuses coast to coast, including Berkeley, Boston, Cornell, Harvard, Stanford, University of Arizona, UCLA, and USC.
About Conscious Contraceptives "Do Good While Feeling Good"
Conscious Contraceptives is a globally conscious organization delivering contraceptives directly to the consumer through the convenient and discreet online store at ConCon.org. Inspired by the "one for one" charity model established by TOMS shoes (http://www.toms.com), a portion of every purchase from ConCon.org is contributed towards donating desperately needed contraceptives to underserved communities both domestically and in foreign countries. All of ConCon.org's donations are purchased abroad to further support local manufacturing and commerce. In addition to the donations, ConCon.org partners with US-based and international organizations to promote ongoing sexual education to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and the number of unplanned pregnancies throughout the world. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good, we transform our customers into benefactors.

Conscious Contraceptives, a Globally Conscious Discrete Online Distributor of Contraceptives Announces Website Launch

Every purchase made from ConCon.org will make a direct global impact in improving the sexual health of underserved individuals

San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/16/2012 -- Conscious Contraceptives, the globally conscious organization that delivers contraceptives directly to the consumer through a convenient and discrete online store, is officially announcing the launch of their website, ConCon.org.

Inspired by the "one for one" charity model established by Tom's shoes, Conscious Contraceptives donates a portion of every purchase made from ConCon.org to provide contraceptives to underserved communities domestically and abroad. Conscious Contraceptives has partnered up with various national and international organizations, including Support for International Change (www.sichange.org) to help fund sexual education and family planning resources worldwide.

"By donating contraceptives and promoting sexual education across the globe, we aim to put an end to the spread of sexually transmitted infections and improve sexual health overall. The world population just tipped over the 7 billion mark last October 2011 and as consumers become more aware about the detrimental consequences, I believe a stronger effort will be made to reach a more sustainable population growth," says Cory Capoccia, founder of Conscious Contraceptives. "With our college campus tour starting this month, we will begin to spread that awareness among college students across the nation - perfectly targeting a highly sexually active demographic with a powerful influence on our future."

Separating itself from the competition, Conscious Contraceptives not only guarantees discrete shopping, billing, and shipping, it also offers a convenient "auto-shipping" feature so orders are ongoing and replenished automatically within a given period. Conscious Contraceptives aims to transform customers into benefactors, allowing for a truly sustainable business altogether by using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good.
