The annual race takes place at the Circuit of The Americas, and is part of a larger group of Ferrari Challenge races that take place throughout the United States and Canada.
"Now we can be confident that our starting setups should provide the fast and consistent racecars that the drivers need to get up to speed in the short time available," said Segal.
Level 5 Motorsports has participated in several Ferrari Challenge races, as well as many well-known endurance races such as the Petit Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Level 5 Motorsports Drivers Represent Team in Bahrain Race

Drivers Jeff Segal and Alessandro Pier Guidi raced for Level 5 Motorsports in “Six Hours of Bahrain,” a FIA World Endurance Championship race.

Madison, WI -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/19/2015 -- Level 5 Motorsports sent a team of two drivers to Bahrain to compete in a Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) World Endurance Championship Race. The "Six Hours of Bahrain," which takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit, find racers competing for six long hours to take home a championship title.

The "Six Hours of Bahrain" is characterized by intense heat, long driving hours in both daytime and night, and a sandy environment. Each of these elements added to the challenge posed by the race. The two drivers, Jeff Segal and Alessandro Pier Guidi, have previously worked together at the Rolex 24.

"This is a challenging race, where we have to push and push for hours, so it's important to share it with a driver who really gets you and the car," said driver Jeff Segall of his co-driver. "We work very well together because we seem to approach the event and the driving in a similar, analytical way. I have total confidence that we are looking for the same setup for the car, which is really helpful when we don't have much practice time to get everything figured out prior to the race."

Segal raced at speeds of more than 161 miles per hour, and placed 23rd in the race, crossing the finish line at six hours and one minute. Segal has started in three World Endurance Championship races, most recently adding the "Six Hours of Bahrain" to his list.

Level 5 Motorsports Adds Jeannie Young to Team

Level 5 Motorsports is proud to announce the addition of Jeannie Young to racing team. Young’s grandfather, Bryan Young, retired from the team in 1999.

Madison, WI -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/18/2014 -- Level 5 Motorsports, a racing team that participates in United SportsCar Championship and Ferrari Challenge each year, has added 21-year old Jeannie Young to the team. Level 5 Motorsports sponsored some of Young's amateur races over the last four years. Young will be training under more experienced drivers before she makes her pro debut sometime in 2015.

"We couldn't be more excited to bring a member of the Young family back into the fold," says team manager Michael Owens. "Jeannie has really made a name for herself in the amateur racing scene in Toledo, and I know she's going to be a huge addition to our pro team."

Young, who picked up racing as a young girl due to her grandfather's influence, has competed in several autocross races throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. Throughout high school, Young completed several driving clinics and raced in amateur drag races each weekend.

"I knew from a very young age that this is what I wanted to do," said Young. "I love speed, I love the noise of the track, and I love being on a team that has a strong tie to my family. Now Level 5 Motorsports is a Young family tradition. I couldn't be happier – and neither could my grandparents."

Young will be working with Level 5 Motorsports designers to build a custom car, and will work towards qualifying speeds throughout winter and spring. She will represent Level 5 Motorsports in a number of smaller contests throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

"I hope I can help make a difference in the lives of girls," added Young. "Racing is not quite the first sport you think of for women, and I think that can change. I am meeting more and more little girls at events who want to do more than just be cheerleaders – that gives me plenty of hope for racing, especially when I see them at demolition derbies."
The company acquired an additional 10,000 square feet of space that brings the size of it's Kingston factory and plant facilities to 30,000 square feet. The additional capacity lead to a 24 per cent increase in production, according to the AMG Services general manager Micheal Chin.

The recent article in the Jamaica Gleaner reports that AMG brought it's six month revenue to surpass $204 million, with a profit of $29.6 million. In addition, the expanded warehouse space added $62.9 million in fixed assets to the company.

General manager Micheal Chin stated in the recent report that the new warehouse space lead to increased profits by increasing efficiency and decreasing losses through damages. Chin cited the case of bay and forklifts that can now be used to unload containers in minutes by one operator, as opposed to previous configurations that required four or five operators.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, AMG Services is currently operating at 60% capacity with two shifts, but the company intends to begin running a third shift by the end of 2013. AMG Services Packaging was founded in 2005 and was brought public in 2011. Originally the company serviced 20 clients and now has over 500 clients. The company claims to have 40% of the corrugated cardboard market, and is working on plans to move into paper products, including paper towels and napkins.
The two will be joined by regulars Luis Diaz, from Mexico City, Mexico, in the No. 95 and Christophe Bouchut, from Voiron, France, in the No. 055.

The six-hour race into the darkness will not only provide the team with that opportunity, but it will also be a perfect run up to next month's ultimate endurance racing test, the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France. The week following the California race presents team manager David Stone and his personnel with as great a logistical challenge as any faced throughout a season of racing throughout North America.

Tucker will be a busy man over the weekend as, in addition to his ALMS commitments, he will also be campaigning a Level 5 Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup car in the 32-entry IMSA GT3 Challenge by Yokohama and racing in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites series. He says of the coming weekend: "Track time and knowledge is important for every venue, but even more so for Laguna Seca. It's one of those courses that can make you smile to yourself inside your helmet when you get the perfect lap, and practice makes perfect. It's going to be great having Franck along with us to add to our driver line up, and I'm confident of a successful weekend."

Built on a former US Army base, the 2.238 mile Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca road course on the Monterey Peninsula, California, is challenging for drivers and engineers alike with its 11 turns and many ups and downs. The famous Corkscrew turn, a steep drop away over a blind 90-degree left-hand bend that immediately sweeps away to the right, is one of the highlights here and is an awesome place for spectators to watch the action.

Stone recognizes the multiple challenges the track can present: "The track is notoriously slippery due to the sand surrounding the asphalt, which is often either blown on or brought onto the track by another car. You can be having an inch-perfect race but get caught up in the fall-out from someone else's misfortune which can change your race or strategy in an instant. A fast lap here takes every ounce of skill that a driver possesses and, as always with endurance racing, staying out of trouble is key to success."

Level 5 Motorsports and Tucker have had great success at Laguna Seca in 2010 and 2011, winning the PC and P2 classes respectively, and finishing fourth overall in last year's six-hour enduro. That event marked the first running by Level 5 of the HPD ARX-01b, and both the team and the car performed flawlessly throughout the weekend.

With Honda Performance Development and the team both working hard to continually enhance the performance and endurance reliability of the HPD ARX-03b Honda, there is little doubt that Level 5 will go into the event as hot favorites.

The American Le Mans Monterey presented by Patron is set for 1:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, May 12, from the 2.238-mile Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. ESPN2 airs the race at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 13. Live coverage is available starting at 4:15 p.m. ET on ESPN3.

Scott Tucker Secures Second Successive Win of New Season

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/17/2012 -- Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut last week secured their second successive win of the new season. Long Beach, CA. was the setting for the second round of the 2012 Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series. Tucker and Bouchut claimed victory in the P2 category. The Level 5 Motorsports driving duo triumphed in a drama filled 2-hour endurance race around the streets of Long Beach. Some inclement weather in California meant that race organizers were forced to cancel Friday's ALMS qualifying session, this wasn't all bad news for the Level 5 team as it meant that the starting grid order would be decided based on the current 2012 ALMS championship points standings.

After their victory in the opening race of the season in the 12 Hours of Sebring this meant that Tucker and Bouchut's #055 HPD-ARX03b car started the race in pole position for the p2 category. Despite that fact that the Level 5 team started in such a good position they suffered some really bad luck when hit from behind by a GT category car after about 20 minutes of the race. With Tucker at the wheel the #055 car spun and as a result lost some valuable time. The drama didn't deter Tucker and he recovered really well moving his way up through the field in fine fashion before stopping for a routine refueling and driver swap pit stop.

When the veteran Frenchman Christophe Bouchut took over driving duties after an hour of the race he showed all of his vast experience by swiftly moving the car into 2nd position in the P2 category. Bouchut never let Conquest Endurance's #37 Morgan-Nissan car driven by British driver Martin Plowman out of his sights and eventually took the lead when the #37 made an refueling pit stop with just 6 minutes left to race. It seemed that the Level 5 Motorsport team had managed to conserve some fuel and this was a major contributing factor as Bouchut held on to secure the P2 category win for level 5 Motorsports.

This was the second successive win for Tucker and Bouchut this season and it helped them open up a significant lead in the championship points standings. After winning the P2 championship in 2011 they have made a great start to the defense of title so far this season. Tucker and Bouchut will be looking to further increase their points lead in Monterey in May when the 3rd round of the 2012 Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series stops at the Laguna Seca raceway.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Lily Harris
Email: Click to Email Lily Harris
Web: http://www.level5motorsports.com

Scott Tucker Is Lending His Support to New Rivals on the Grid

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/09/2012 -- Scott Tucker has been busy lending his support to this year's increased competition in the American Le Mans Series P2 class. This year the number of cars lining up on the starting grid in the P2 class has increased dramatically and Scott Tucker has embraced the new competition with open arms as by lending his full support to his new rivals as he kicks off the defense of his 2011 ALMS P2 championship. Two new racing teams, Conquest Endurance and Black Swan Racing, made their debuts in the ALMS P2 class in March at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida and rather than being worried about the increased competition that his new rivals will pose Scott Tucker has welcomed the expansion of the P2 class.

Scott Tucker got the defense of his 2011 ALMS P2 class title off to the perfect start by winning at Sebring but the victory was tougher due to the increased competition in the P2 class. Before the start of the 2011 season the number of entries running in the P2 class was expected to grow, unfortunately that never happened, but in 2012 it has happened and that's something that has pleased Scott Tucker. According to Scott Tucker, he was disappointed about last year, but he made it clear it wasn't the fault of the ALMS series. Tucker went on to add that there were guys telling the series that they were coming and didn't. Scott Tucker has always been fully committed to the ALMS P2 series in 2011 and his Level 5 Motorsports team even went as far as lending a helping hand to the P2 class by running two cars in order to show just how committed they were.

The new teams who will be hoping to stop Scott Tucker's domination of the P2 class are Eric Bachelart's Conquest Endurance, based in Indianapolis, IN. Driving a Morgan-Judd for Conquest will be former Indycar driver Martin Plowman and David Heinemeier-Hansson. The Tim Pappas owned team, Black Swan Racing, are based in Boston, MA. and have a HPD Lola driven by owner driver Pappas, Bret Curtis, and two time Grand-Am champion Jon Fogarty. Actor turned driver Patrick Dempsey recently announced he would be lending his support to the ALMS P2 class this season too. His Dempsey Racing team are making a partial entry into 2012's ALMS P2 class in preparation for an eventual full entry into the p2 class. It now looks like Scott Tucker's defense of his ALMS P2 title has just got a whole lot more difficult even though he's welcoming the increased competition.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Lily Harris
Email: Click to Email Lily Harris
Web: http://www.level5motorsports.com

Scott Tucker Is Lending Teenagers the Chance to Impress

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/09/2012 -- Scott Tucker, the five-time national racing champion and owner of the hugely successful Level 5 Motorsports Team has been demonstrating his commitment to lending teenagers a helping hand to keep on the right track when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. Scott Tucker's new champions pledge is a scheme aimed at showing how teenagers can realize their ambitions through hard work, dedication and passion without needing to experiment with alcohol and drugs.

By taking the Scott Tucker Champions pledge teenagers will be able to register themselves for a chance to drive a real race car around the Performance Driving School circuit at Disney World in Orlando, Fl. The idea behind the community based project came from Scott Tucker himself who wanted to lend a helping hand to those teenagers who find themselves wanting to experiment with drugs and alcohol. The pledge is designed to lend much needed support to the most vulnerable teenagers who through no fault of their own are more likely to give into the temptations of drugs and alcohol.

By offering the chance for teenagers to get behind the wheel of a real sports car Scott Tucker aims to give some future driving champions of tomorrow a helping hand not only by gaining high speed race car driving experience but also vital life skills such as being a leader and lending a hand to other teenagers who could use some guidance. By taking the pledge, teenagers will be vowing to say no to drugs and alcohol, whilst working hard to achieve their goals and helping others to do the same.

Qualified participants taking the Scott Tucker Champion's pledge will be able to drive a 600 horsepower sports car around the one-mile NASCAR speedway track which will give them a real taste of just how exciting it can be to drive a real race car. If that sounds a little too exciting it's also possible to ride shotgun alongside a professional instructor and experience speeds of up to 120 miles per hour. The value of the race car experience is over $100. By lending some of his knowledge gained on the track to at-risk teenagers, Scott Tucker will be giving them the opportunity to tread the road to success.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Lily Harris
Email: Click to Email Lily Harris
Web: http://www.level5motorsports.com

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/06/2012 -- Scott Tucker, race car driver and owner of Level 5 Motorsports has been lending a helping hand to new ALMS class P2 rival team Black Swan Racing by loaning them Level 5's 2011 Lola-Honda B11/80 car in order for the Tim Pappas owned team to compete in the 2012 ALMS P2 class series. Scott tucker won the ALMS P2 series championship driving the B11/80 car in 2011 and by loaning the car to Black Swan Racing Tucker is not only lending a hand to his new rivals but also lending a helping hand to the whole of ALMS P2 class series overall.

Scott Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports team spent a busy off season winter doing all they could to ensure the P2 class was more competitive for 2012 and the deal struck by lending the B11/80 to Black Swan Racing now means Tucker will be facing some pretty fierce competition from a car he and his team-mates know so well. According to Tucker Level 5 were doing anything they could to put deals together and get things going. He went on to add that he thinks it's great for the series, and he's doing it to help build the P2 class.

Thanks to Scott tucker voluntarily lending a helping hand the P2 class has been boosted with the new arrivals of not just Black Swan Racing but also Conquest Endurance. After reaching out to prospective P2 teams over the winter Tucker managed to get Black Swan onboard and Owner Tim Pappas was delighted to be entering the p2 class with the loan of such a reliable car, and he is expecting the class to continue to grow, stating that he thinks as more people come out, the better the likelihood that this becomes a really good class. Pappas went on to add that when you look at these cars and parts and pieces, it's a real, proper race car.

Last year's ALMS P2 class champion Scott Tucker got the season off to a flying start alongside team-mates Christophe Bouchut and Joao Barbosa in the #055 car winning the P2 class at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring in March, finishing ahead of the Black Swan Racing team's #54 entry driven by owner driver Tim Pappas, Bret Curtis, and Jon Fogarty. The next race in what promises to be an exciting ALMS P2 season is the Long Beach Street race in Mid April, which is always a fans favorite.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Lily Harris
Level5Motorsports
Telephone: 608-274-7910
Email: Click to Email Lily Harris
Web: http://www.level5motorsports.com
