Pledges To Represent Treasure Coast Values Not The Special Interests In The Legislature

First Time Candidate Will Bring Conservative Principles and Fiscal Responsibility To Government

Blairsville, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/28/2008 -- Dr. Charles Celano, a local cardiologist, announces that he will be a Republican candidate for State House - District 80 that encompasses Indian River County and portions of Brevard and St. Lucie Counties. The race is the first ever by the lifelong Republican and former Vice Chairman of the Indian River Republican Executive Committee. In his race, Celano will bring his understanding of the Treasure Coast and strong Republican principles to focus on:

· Fairness in property tax relief that will not penalize businesses or create such a burden that our Seniors will have to choose between taxes and medication. Fundamental relief not incremental that will penalize families.
· Protecting our beautiful area and preserves the Treasure Coast's beauty but does not penalize business owners.
· Availability of property insurance that is affordable to all and serves its purpose.
· Life is a precious gift and must be protected and that includes protecting the unborn.
· Defending and protecting traditional marriage.
· Preserving and safeguarding our second amendment rights.
· Accountability in education and fostering the growth of children's minds and allowing parents a voice in education.

"I have Treasure Coast values and in the Legislature will represent the Treasure Coast and not the special interests," said Celano. "This means the I will work to find long-lasting solutions to the problems that we face in the Treasure Coast and throughout Florida. As a doctor, but also as an owner of several businesses, I know that we need to run our State like a business and bring fiscal responsibility to what we do.

"The issues that we face are grave but also ones that we can solve by using sound common sense and conservative principles," continued Celano. "Running for office is new for me but I am doing it because I care deeply about our future and the challenges that we face. I view myself as a citizen politician like Ronald Reagan and Dave Weldon who ran for office to address the challenges we faced but never became career politicians. I want to ensure that our precious area is preserved for our children and their children."

A graduate of State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dr. Celano earned his medical degree at the University of Noreste. He completed his cardiology training at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. Like many, he was attracted to the natural beauties of the Treasure Coast. He has served as Chief of Staff at Indian River Memorial Hospital, Chairman of the Cardiology Department at Indian River Memorial Hospital and is currently Medical Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at IRMC-Duke Heart Center. He also serves as a liaison to the Duke University Medical System and the Indian River Memorial Hospital open heart program. He is a proud member of the Florida Medical Association, Indian River County Medical Society, American College of Healthcare Executives, and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Celano is a proud member of Republicans for Life. With his dedication for life and the sanctity of the unborn, he serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Carenet Pregnancy Centers of Indian River County.

"As a doctor, I know how important preserving life is," said Celano. "I believe passionately in protecting the life of the unborn and in the State House, I will be an unswerving champion for the sanctity of life."

Earning an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Celano has created several businesses on the Treasure Coast. He knows firsthand the concerns and issues that face business owners.

"I know what it is like to meet a payroll, create jobs, and start a business," said Celano. "Unfortunately businesses face to0 many needless regulations and our governmental operates like a bureaucracy rather than a business, when I am in the legislature, I will bring my business experience to every vote I cast and work to help business owners and free them from needless regulations."

Dr. Celano is a longtime member of the National Rifle Association and strong champion of the Second Amendment. He is the proud parent of Charles and Catherine who both reside in Vero Beach. He is a member of the Central Assembly for God Church.

"The Treasure Coast is my home and I will work tirelessly in the Legislature to preserve our unique beauty and quality of life," said Celano.

Former State Senator and Author Bob McKnight To Sign The Golden Years In Lakeland on February 14th and 15th

Author Holding Event At Alma Mater Florida Southern and Second Event At Walden Books
Book Has Opened To National Acclaim

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/15/2008 -- Former Florida State Senator Robert McKnight (D), author of THE GOLDEN YEARS (ISBN 978-1889574-288, Sentry Press, 2007) will be holding two book signings in Lakeland, Florida on February 14th and February 15th. The first event will be held at 7 P.M. at Florida Southern University, Senator McKnight's alma mater. The event will be open to the public. The second event will be held at the Walden Books at the Lakeland Mall at 11 AM on February 15th.

THE GOLDEN YEARS recalls an era of Florida politics that belies the title of the book. In his book, Senator McKnight provides a firsthand look back at Florida politics in the 1970's and 1980's which many historians view as the Sunshine State's epoch in political and governmental reform. Senator McKnight provides a lively memoir that recalls his political career and some of the names that became familiar not only to Floridians but political observers throughout the nation such as Rueben Askew and Bob Graham. Yet THE GOLDEN YEARS is more than a personal memoir of Senator McKnight, it is also a book that is timely for this political season and poses the question is change always a good thing, just for the sake of change or is sometimes experience a true asset? Senator McKnight also offers twenty practical tips for anyone entering the political arena and his insight on five politicians who never made it to the White House but would have made excellent Presidents perhaps even better than the men who were elected.

"I am honored to be coming to Lakeland to sign THE GOLDEN YEARS," said Senator McKnight. "I have so many fond memories of Lakeland. The 1970's and 1980's were just as the title of my memoir suggests, the Golden Years of Florida politics, just as these years were in other states as well, as were fuelled by reformers who wanted to bring accountability and ethics to our state and nation after the excesses of Vietnam and Watergate," said Senator McKnight. "I was honored and fortunate to have been a part of the fundamental change that transformed Florida as both a member of the State House and State Senate. In THE GOLDEN YEARS, I seek to explain this unique period of time and also to offer tips for those who are seeking to enter into politics.

"While THE GOLDEN YEARS and my career centered on Florida, anyone throughout the nation can gain a greater perspective of the dynamics that drove and changed our politics and government in the 1970's and 1980's from this book," concluded Senator McKnight. "Finally, I want to pay tribute to five outstanding public servants who in my opinion would have made excellent Presidents and left a positive impact on America and the world.

THE GOLDEN YEARS recounts McKnight's entry into politics as a Florida State Representative as a new wind of reform was blowing across the states as a result of the closed politics of the late 1960's and the scandal Watergate. In 1978, McKnight defeated two state senators to begin his own career in the Florida Senate. Today, he resides with his wife, Susan in Tallahassee, Florida. Senator McKnight is a graduate of Florida Southern College and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Florida State University.

St. Valentine's Day -- for One

A fresh outlook on love by author Leigh Thomas

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/11/2008 -- "Ah Love", as the Grand Master of Romance, Pepe Le Pew would say, is the incredible, elusive emotion celebrated every year on February 14th. In grade school, I gave handmade Valentines to all the boys in class. High School years followed with store bought cards my special beaus. It's been a year or two since High School -- okay -- several, and although I'm an intelligent and successful business woman, on more than one occasion, I've found myself single on Valentine's Day. Like most people, I won't find myself on People Magazine's, 50 Most Beautiful People in the World List. But then, I don't think I've ever broken any cameras either. I may be putting more energy into my work than a relationship. Then again a clue to this situation might be found in my last experience on the other side of the following Pepe Le Pew sure-fire pick up lines: "Is it possible to be too attractive?" "Permit me to introduce myself; I am your new lover." "The game of love is never called on account of darkness, my little midnight snack."

You sound like the choir of Angels...but admit it...your sigh was almost as deep as mine and yes, I fell hook, line and sinker -- wouldn't you? Yes, you would, I heard you. Well, don't get too excited. After I picked myself up, I had a visit from the police telling me he'd stolen my identity, then he left me a million dollars in bankruptcy and ran off with another woman...I guess you could say, that's when I discovered Mr. Right was completely Mr. Wrong. I'm still trying to figure out why he was so upset with my Valentine's Day present to him...I filed for divorce and signed him up for a year-long all-expenses paid federal vacation.

So, if like me, you've looked in all the wrong places for that special someone to love, who loves you as much as you love them, someone who will treat you like the rare person you are...Happy Valentine's Day! Now, please do me a personal favor. Run, don't walk, out of the office, put on that sexy red outfit, drench yourself in that expensive perfume -- the one you save for special occasions, grab yourself a long-stem rose, pop it between your rosy red lips, open the door and tango your gorgeous self out on the town, for a celebration of the day of love -- for yourself. Congratulations! You have finally discovered that one true love needed before you can share love with another almost perfect soul.

Today my new improved self-esteem knows I can have it all -- the office and love. I may not have a date for Valentine's Day -- but there is no blinking neon L across my forehead. I've learned that no one will ever love me more than I love myself. As a matter of fact, if you have a bit of a self-esteem problem and haven't seen Carson Kressley's new TV program, How to Look Good Naked, do yourself a favor and watch one program. I thought this was going to be an exploitive reality program. Instead I applaud this program for its empowering approach to a woman's perception of herself and her body. It's all about getting rid of those, "I'm not good enough, or sexy enough, to be loved by someone else -- and it's safer to hide in my work" tapes running in your head. Sometimes it takes our gay best friend to show us how to love the real person inside with passion, passion, passion. I'll race you to the phone -- I'm sure he has room for all of us this season -- but me first.

We beat ourselves up for being alone and Valentine's Day is just a holiday started by a greeting card company to up its sales. Love is love and should be celebrated every day, as the precious gift it is and not just a one day celebration. So now that I celebrate me, I'm not afraid stop spending all my time working and start searching for that almost perfect, someone special. I can see him now strolling down Times Square, when he's captivated by Carson's stunning 40' billboard of me...his first thought will be, "Ah Love" -- each day is Valentine's Day.

Mandy and Pandy Announces 10% from Sales Will Be Donated to Gifts of Love

Author Announces Program As A Way To Give Back The Love From His Own Adoption Experience

Atlanta, GA and Ann Arbor, MI -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/14/2007 -- Chris Lin, author of the critically acclaimed book, Mandy and Pandy Say, "Ni Hao Ma?" announces that he will be donating 10% from website and direct sales of the book to the Gifts of Love as a way to support the Anqing, Anhui orphanage in China. Lin, an adoptive parent whose daughter, Mandy, served as the inspiration for the Mandy and Pandy book series, felt a need to support the orphanage community in China. Lin wrote Mandy and Pandy Say, "Ni Hao Ma?" as a way to help parents and children learn Chinese and appreciate the unique Chinese culture. The Gifts of Love through the Great Wall China Adoption works with the government of the People's Republic of China to find homes for Chinese orphans.

"Words cannot describe the feelings of love that Mandy's adoption brought to our family," said Lin. "She is a precious gift from God. And with the success of Mandy and Pandy, I feel compelled to assist in the best way that I can to help the orphanage community in China and in bringing as much happiness to these children as possible. This led me to pledge 10% of sales to help the children."

"Other families like mine are adopting children from China and embracing them and the Chinese culture and I hope the support from Mandy and Pandy helps bring about more adoptions." continued Lin. "The joy and love these children bring is priceless."

The inspiration for Mandy and Pandy Say, "Ni Hao Ma?" came about when Lin took his 3 year old daughter to a Chinese class and had no easy way to teach her Chinese in a fun manner that would hold her interest. Realizing that there had to be a fun yet educational way, he was motivated to develop Mandy and Pandy Say, "Ni Hao Ma?" with illustrator, Ingrid Villalta. The objective of Mandy and Pandy Say, "Ni Hao Ma?" is to provide parents a fun way to interact with their children while teaching them at the same time. Each page has colorful and exquisite pictures that stand out and captivate the reader's interest. The book has been highlighted this year at BookExpo America and at Toy Fair 2007 and recently won the iParenting Media Outstanding Product Award in the category of Educational Books for Children.

Gifts of Love provides a way for parents to donate gifts to the Chinese orphanages that cared for their children; gifts that improve the orphanages and enhance the lives of the children left behind. International adoption has greatly improved the conditions in the social welfare institutes, or orphanages, for children who have yet to be adopted. Great Wall Adoption is also committed to improving the orphanages and enhancing the lives of the children left behind through Great Wall Gifts of Love.

American families adopt from China more often than families from any other country. Over the past decade, more than 50,000 Chinese orphans have been placed with American families. The Chinese-American community is the largest ethnic group of Asian-American population and constitutes 1.2% of the entire U.S. population. The Chinese-American population numbered approximately 3.4 million during the last census.

American College of Orgonomy to Commemorate 50th Anniversary of the Death of Wilhelm Reich

Conference Will Feature Keynote On “The Decline and Fall of Modern Psychiatry”

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/05/2007 -- The American College of Orgonomy will be commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Wilhelm Reich, whose influence and impact on the world and on psychiatry is still being felt today on November 4, 2007. The conference will be held at the Lakeside Conference Center & Hotel at the Princeton Forrestal Center at 900 Scudders Mill Road in Plainsboro, New Jersey from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Registration will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Dr. Charles Konia will deliver the conference's keynote speech entitled, "The Decline and Fall of Modern Psychiatry". In addition, the conference will mark the launch of Dr. Konia's critically acclaimed book, The Emotional Plague.

"Wilhelm Reich was a visionary whose impact is still being felt," said Dr. Peter A. Crist, President, American College of Orgonomy. "He was a colleague of Sigmund Freud and expelled from the psychoanalytic movement for his revolutionary ideas. He fled Nazi Germany but later became a victim of the U.S. government that felt threatened by new ideas in an age of complacency. Yet his work continues to thrive and be developed today.."

Reich was the first psychoanalyst to move from behind the couch to sit beside patients, a practice that is commonplace today. But in 1924 this was considered revolutionary and forever changed the dynamic between therapists and their patients. Reich was a forerunner in other ways as well, founding the Socialist Association for Sex Hygiene and Sexological Research that distributed practical information and advice on sexual health and contraception, considered by many to be dangerous in the late 1920's but now is common throughout the world in sex clinics, and public school sex education. Long before the start of World War II, and at a time when even Winston Churchill saw positive benefits in Adolf Hitler and the Nazi movement, Reich warned of the dangers of Hitler and the Nazis in his book, The Mass Psychology of Fascism (one of the first books to expose how a dictator can control the minds and emotions of an entire nation). Forced to flee from Germany, Reich moved to Denmark and later Sweden, where he published his well known book, The Sexual Revolution. This book advocated contraception, sex education, the sexual rights of youth as well as Reich's belief that no one should be forced to remain in an unhappy marriage, views that were considered truly revolutionary by some, abhorrent by others, but again are currently part of modern society.

Departing Europe, just as World War II started, Reich settled in the United States, where he pursued his most important work in the fields of sociology, biology, physics, and atmospheric science. Ironically, today's liberal magazine, The New Republic led to Reich's persecution in the United States during the height of the Red Scare and the career of Senator Joseph McCarthy. Freelance writer Mildred Edie Brady wrote a devastating article in the magazine filled with half-truths and lies about Reich motivated in part because of his revolutionary ideas and the fact that early in his life he had once flirted with communism. Brady implied that Reich was running a "sexual racket" which led to an investigation by the Food and Drug Administration and a federal court complaint against Reich. Reich responded by stating that courts should support the rights of scientists (a position today advocated by The New Republic and its staff).

In May 1956, after an assistant, unbeknownst to Reich, sent orgonomic devices across state lines, Reich was arrested and brought in handcuffs to the U.S. Courthouse in Portland, Maine where he was charged with contempt of court. Found guilty, Reich received a two-year sentence. He died on November 3, 1957, in the Lewisburg, Pennsylvania federal penitentiary, one week before the date of his first parole hearing. Ironically, Reich was a victim of the practices that today's liberal and progressive movement abhors against terror suspects.

Reich's influence continues to be felt today in many ways:
• Modern psychoanalysis and psychotherapy have incorporated many of Reich's innovative concepts -- that patient and therapist should interact face to face; "that character is the soil in which neurotic symptoms grow;" and that a patient's social environment is integral to his or her emotional well being.
• His work is the basis of contemporary mind-body therapies such as Gestalt, Rolfing and Primal Scream.
• His advocacy of universal access to contraception, sex education and no-fault divorce led to changes in the laws of countries around the world.
• He emphasized the importance of good emotional contact between mother and child right from the moment of birth and pioneered the view that newborns should not be separated from their mothers and put into hospital nurseries.

Today, Reich is honored throughout much of the world, particularly in the new democracies of Eastern Europe. His views of the rights of scientists to pursue their work are considered cornerstones in democratic debate.

This year's Conference will explore and honor Reich's life and the impact that he and orgonomy have on society. Orgonomy is the term Reich used to describe the science of the orgone energy, the cosmic life energy, he discovered and studied in great detail. Keynote speaker Charles Konia, M.D. will examine current mental health treatment and contrast it to medical orgone therapy, the mind-body treatment developed by Wilhelm Reich, M.D. In addition to Dr. Konia's keynote address presentations by medical orgonomists will include case studies illustrating the effectiveness of this revolutionary method of therapy.

Additionally, Dr. Konia's book, The Emotional Plague will be released at the conference. The Emotional Plague explores a disease of destructive human behavior involving people's emotional lives that can be spread from person to person with all the characteristics of infectious diseases known to medicine. From Hitler to Osama bin Laden to school shooters to politicians, the emotional plague is a pervasive illness. Konia's book shows people how it existed throughout history, how to recognize it, treat it, prevent it, and understand it. Recognition is an essential first step in eradicating its destructiveness. The Emotional Plague has earned critical praise from experts in the field and leading publications.

Giuliani Leads GOP With Thompson Close Second In Washington

Strategic Vision releases polling results from Washington

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 10/15/2007 -- Strategic Vision, LLC, an Atlanta-headquartered public relations and public affairs agency, announced the results of a three-day poll of 800 likely voters in Washington. The poll has a margin of error of ±3 percentage points. In the poll, 368 (46%) of the respondents identified themselves as Democrats; 296 (37%) of the respondents identified themselves as Republicans; and 136 (17%) of the respondents identified themselves as Independents or other party affiliation.

The poll found that 48% of respondents approved of Governor Christine Gregoire's job performance; 44% disapproved; and 8% were undecided. When asked if they had approved of the job performance of the State Legislature, 44% approved; 49% disapproved; and 7% were undecided.

"This is the highest job approval that we have recorded for Governor Gregoire since she took office," said David E. Johnson, CEO and Co-founder of Strategic Vision, LLC. "The problem for Gregoire is that she not cracking 50% and failing to do that is usually fatal to an incumbent's re-election bid."

President Bush's job approval was at 20%; 69% disapproving; and 11% undecided. When asked to rate the President's handling of the economy, 22% approved; 66% disapproved; and 12% were undecided. On the issue of Iraq, the poll found 19% approved of the President's handling; with 71% disapproving; and 10% undecided. On the President's handling on the war on terrorism, 49% approved; 40% disapproved; and 11% were undecided.

"The President's job approval numbers continue to be far lower than those of other President's in their second terms," said Johnson. "Significantly in Washington, he is losing much support from the Republican base."

When Republicans were asked if they viewed President Bush as a conservative in the Ronald Reagan mode, 11% said yes; 69% said no; and 20% were undecided.

"The problem for President Bush is that he is no longer viewed as a conservative by Republicans and many are looking beyond him already," said Johnson. "As long as he in trouble with his base his poll position will suffer."

In a 2008 match-up between Gregoire and 2004 opponent, Dino Rossi, the poll found that 47% said they would vote for Gregoire; 45% said they would vote for Gregoire; and 8% were undecided.

"This race promises to be one of the tightest in the nation," said Johnson. "Each candidate base of support remains solid with the undecideds holding the key. Rossi's one disadvantage is the fact that the Republican brand is suffering in Washington as it is elsewhere."

When asked if they thought that Washington was headed in the right direction or the wrong direction, 29% said right; 64% said wrong; and 7% were undecided.

When asked if they favored an immediate withdrawal of United States military forces from Iraq within 6 months, 68% said yes; 20% said no; and 12% were undecided.

United States Senator Patty Murray received a 54% job approval; with 35% disapproving; and 11% undecided. United States Senator Maria Cantwell received a 50% job approval; with 36% disapproving; and 14% undecided.

When asked if voters approved or disapproved of the way Congress is handling its job, 16% approved; 69% disapproved; and 15% were undecided.

When Democratic voters were asked their preferences for the 2008 Presidential nomination, New York Senator Hillary Clinton led with 48%; Illinois Senator Barack Obama received 22% former North Carolina Senator John Edwards received 10%; New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson received 5%; Delaware Senator Joseph Biden received 3%; Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd 1%; Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich 1%; and 10% were undecided.

"Clinton dominates this race as she does in other states," said Johnson. "More importantly she leads among all sectors of the population and in all regions."

When Democratic voters were asked what they most looked for in a presidential candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology, 36% selected experience; 30% selected ideology; 18% said charisma; and 16% were undecided.

"The fact that Democratic voters are looking for experience plays to Clinton's strength," said Johnson.

When Republicans were polled on whom they would support in 2008 for the Republican Presidential nomination, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani received 37%; former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson received 20%; former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney received 11%; Senator John McCain received 10%; former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee received 4%; Texas Congressman Ron Paul received 4%; Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo received 2%; Kansas Senator Sam Brownback received 1%; California Congressman Duncan Hunter received 1%; and 10% were undecided."

"Giuliani leads in Washington but if the conservatives can coalesce around one candidate could be seriously challenged," said Johnson. "Giuliani does best among young professionals and economic conservatives."

When Republicans were asked how important it was for their presidential candidate to be conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 38% said very important; 19% said somewhat important; 10% said not very important; 13% said not important; and 20% were undecided.

Strategic Vision’s latest polling results for Michigan.

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 10/12/2007 -- Strategic Vision, LLC, an Atlanta-headquartered public relations and public affairs agency, announced the results of a three-day poll of 1200 likely Michigan voters. The poll has a margin of error of ±3 percentage points. In the poll, 46% (552 respondents) identified themselves as Democrats; 42% (504 respondents) identified themselves as Republicans; and 12% (144 respondents) identified themselves as Independent or other party affiliation.

When asked if they approved or disapproved of President Bush's overall job performance, 21% of respondents approved; 68% disapproved; and 11% were undecided. When asked if they approved or disapproved of the President's handling of the economy, 18% approved; 71% disapproved; and 11% were undecided. When asked if they approved or disapproved of the President's handling of the war in Iraq, 19% approved; 69% disapproved; and 12% were undecided. When asked if they approved of his handling of the war against terrorism, 51% said yes; 42% said no; and 7% were undecided.

"The President's support among all sectors of the population continues to be at all time lows," said David E. Johnson, CEO and Co-Founder of Strategic Vision, LLC. "At this time, the biggest demographic movement is the number of social conservatives who are registering strong disapproval for the President particularly with the issue of Iraq. Unless the President can regain support among social conservatives it is hard to see how he can stop his continual decline in his polling position."

When asked if they favored an immediate withdrawal of United States military forces from Iraq within 6 months, 57% said yes; 35% said no; and 8% were undecided.

"The number of voters favoring an immediate withdrawal from Iraq has increased since our July poll," said Johnson. "The biggest shift has been among the growing number of Republicans favoring a withdrawal."

When Republicans were asked if they viewed President Bush as a conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 8% said yes; 76% said no; and 16% were undecided.

"This question shows the President's weakness among conservative Republicans who no longer view him as Ronald Reagan's heir and are already looking beyond the Bush Administration," said Johnson. "This is another sign of why the President's power among Republicans is getting precarious. This demonstrates the lack of a power base among Republicans for President Bush and why Republican candidates at any level barely mention his name."

The poll showed 47% of respondents approving of Governor Jennifer Granholm's job performance; 41% disapproving; and 12% undecided.

"Governor Granholm's standing in the state is directly linked to the economy, with the one saving grace for her is that President Bush is blamed more for Michigan's anemic economy than she is," said Johnson.

Senator Carl Levin received a job approval of 51%; with 38% disapproving; and 11% undecided. Senator Debbie Stabenow received a job approval of 49%; with 35% disapproving; and 16% undecided.

When Republicans were polled on whom they would support in 2008 for the Republican Presidential nomination, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani received 24%; Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney received 20%; Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson received 15%; Arizona Senator John McCain received 10%; former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee received 5%; Texas Congressman Ron Paul received 4%; Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo received 2%; California Congressman Duncan Hunter received 1%; Kansas Senator Sam Brownback received 1%; and 18% were undecided.

"Giuliani continues to lead in Michigan with Romney closing the gap and Thompson holding steady," said Johnson. "Despite McCain's previous strength in the state, his campaign continues to be in a freefall with none of the other candidates poised to break out."

When Republicans were asked how important it was for their presidential candidate to be conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 43% said very important; 18% said somewhat important; 7% said not very important; 15% said not important; and 17% were undecided.

"This question shows that the key to the Republican nomination for a candidate is persuading voters that they are a true Reagan conservative," said Johnson.

On the Democratic side, New York Senator Hillary Clinton led with 42%; Illinois Senator Barack Obama received 26%; former North Carolina Senator John Edwards received 10%; New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson received 7%; Delaware Senator Joseph Biden received 2%; former Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd received 1%; Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich received 1%; and 11% were undecided.

When Democratic voters were asked what they most looked for in a presidential candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology, 35% selected ideology; 33% selected experience; 15% said charisma; and 17% were undecided.

"The results from this question should bode well for Clinton," Johnson said.

Giuliani Dominates GOP Field With Fred Thompson In Second

Strategic Vision releases latest poll results for Pennsylania on various political issues

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 10/11/2007 -- Strategic Vision, LLC, an Atlanta-headquartered public relations and public affairs agency, announced the results of a three-day poll of 1200 likely voters in Pennsylvania on various political issues. The poll has a margin of error of ±3 percentage points. For the poll, 576 (48%) identified themselves as Democrats; 504 (42%) identified themselves as Republicans; and 120 (10%) identified themselves as Independent or other party affiliation.

The results of the poll showed that 24% of those polled approved of President Bush's overall job performance; with 67% disapproving; and 9% undecided. When asked if they approved of the President's handling of the economy, 20% approved; 72% disapproved; and 8% were undecided. On the issue of Iraq, the poll found 18% approved of the President's handling of the war; with 74% disapproving; and 8% undecided. When asked about the President's handling of the war on terrorism, 50% approved; 40% disapproved; and 10% were undecided.

"The President's poll numbers are anemic and his hold among Republicans is tenuous," said David E. Johsnon, CEO and Co-Founder of Strategic Vision, LLC. "If this hemorrhaging of Republican support continues, the President's support could decline into the high teens in Pennsylvania."

When Republican respondents were asked if they saw President Bush as a conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 7% said yes; 76% said no; and 17% were undecided.

"The President's position among Republicans, particularly conservatives, has eroded," said Johnson. "This reflects a feeling that has manifested itself in other states with Republicans seeking to ignore the President and identify with Ronald Reagan as if he were still President. Without support from his base, the President cannot recover his poll position. Republicans voters are expressing Bush fatigue and looking beyond his presidency."

When asked if they favored an immediate withdrawal of United States military forces from Iraq within 6 months, 54% said yes; 38% said no; and 8% were undecided.

"More and more voters are supporting a pull out from Iraq which benefits Democrats," said Johnson. "Even among Republicans there is growing support for an Iraq withdrawal."

When asked if voters approved or disapproved of the way Congress is handling its job, 19% approved; 69% disapproved; and 12% were undecided.

"This has to be a worrying number for Democrats with Republicans targeting congressional seats that they lost in 2006 in the state," said Johnson.

When voters were asked if they approved or disapproved of Governor Ed Rendell's job performance, 53% approved; 38% disapproved; and 9% were undecided. When asked if they approved or disapproved of Senator Arlen Specter's job performance, 52% approved; 39%; disapproved; and 9% were undecided. When asked if they approved or disapproved of Senator Bob Casey's job approval, 46% approved; 34% disapproved; and 20% were undecided.

When Republicans were asked their choices for President in 2008, the results were former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani 45%; former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson 15%; Arizona Senator John McCain 8%; former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney 7%; Texas Congressman Ron Paul 3%; Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo 2%; former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee 2%; Kansas Senator Sam Brownback 1%; California Congressman Duncan Hunter 1%; and 16% undecided.

"Giuliani dominates the race in Pennsylvania as would be expected," said Johnson. "Giuliani's lead is in all regions of the state and appears solid leading one to question if he can be overtaken in Pennsylvania. It is hard to see how another candidate could become competitive in the state unless Giuliani's campaign imploded."

When Republicans were asked how important it was for their presidential candidate to be conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 38% said very important; 22% said somewhat important; 6% said not very important; 14% said not important; and 20% were undecided.

"As in other states, the key thing Republican voters are looking for is a Reagan conservative," said Johnson.

When Democrats were asked their choices for President in 2008, the results were New York Senator Hillary Clinton 42%; Illinois Senator Barack Obama 24%; former North Carolina Senator John Edwards 9%; New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson 6%; Delaware Senator Joseph Biden 5%; Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd 1%; Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich 1%; and 12% undecided.

"Clinton increased her lead in Pennsylvania and dominates in all regions and outpolls Obama even among African-Americans," said Johnson. "At this point, Clinton is surging in Pennsylvania as she is in other states."

When Democratic voters were asked what they most looked for in a presidential candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology, 34% selected ideology; 34% selected experience; 15% said charisma; and 17% were undecided.

Strategic Vision releases latest poll results for New Jersey on various political issues

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 10/10/2007 -- Strategic Vision, LLC, an Atlanta-headquartered public relations and public affairs agency, announced the results of a three-day poll of 800 likely voters in New Jersey. The poll has a margin of error of ±3 percentage points. In the poll, 312 respondents identified themselves as Democrats (39%); 224 respondents identified themselves as Republicans (28%); and 264 identified themselves as independents or other party affiliation (33%).

The poll gave President Bush an overall approval rating of 18% with 71% disapproving of his job performance; and 11% undecided. When asked about the President's handling of the economy, 18% approved; 70% disapproved; and 12% were undecided. When asked about the President's handling of the war in Iraq, 21% approved; 69% disapproved; and 10% were undecided. When asked about the President's handling of the war on terrorism, 49% approved; 41% disapproved; and 10% were undecided.

"The President's support continues to be anemic and he polls poorly among Republicans," said David E. Johnson, CEO and Co-Founder of Strategic Vision, LLC. "The war in Iraq and the economy are clearly hurting the President and are the highest concerns for voters."

When Republicans were asked if they viewed President Bush as a conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 8% said yes; 76% said no; and 16% were undecided.

"This question demonstrates the President's overall weakness," said Johnson. "As long as he is not viewed as conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan among Republicans, his overall position will continue to be in the low twenties. He needs a series of issues and confrontations with the Democrats to energize his base."

When asked if they favored a withdrawal of United States forces from Iraq within the next six months, 57% said yes; 32% said no; and 11% were undecided.

"The number of voters favoring an immediate withdrawal has increased in New Jersey and has support regardless of Party affiliation," said Johnson.

When asked if voters approved or disapproved of the way Congress is handling its job, 15% approved; 73% disapproved; and 12% were undecided.

"In New Jersey, as in other states, Congress records even lower approval numbers then the President with disapproval running across Party labels," said Johnson.

When Democrats were asked whom they would favor for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, New York Senator Hillary Clinton led the field with 52%; Illinois Senator Barack Obama received 21%; former North Carolina Senator John Edwards with 7%; New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson 5%; Delaware Senator Joseph Biden with 2%; Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd with 1%; Congressman Dennis Kucinich 1%; and 11% undecided.

"Clinton dominates the race in New Jersey and leads among all demographics and has increased her lead," said Johnson. "What is more interesting is that Edwards is declining rapidly yet this is not benefiting Obama."

When Democratic voters were asked what they most looked for in a presidential candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology, 41% selected experience; 18% selected ideology; 17% said charisma; and 24% were undecided.

On the Republican side, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani led the Republican field for 2008 with 53%; followed by former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson with 11%; former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney 7%; Arizona Senator John McCain with 7%; Texas Congressman Ron Paul 3%; Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo 2%; former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee 2%; California Congressman Duncan Hunter 1%; and 14% undecided.

"Giuliani overshadows the Republican race," said Johnson. "At this time it is hard to see any other Republican overtaking him in New Jersey. Thompson has lost support since announcing and none of the other candidates are positioned to emerge from the pack at this time."

When Republicans were asked how important it was for their presidential candidate to be conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 34% said very important; 24% said somewhat important; 12% said not very important; 10% said not important; and 20% were undecided.

Romney Leads GOP With Giuliani Moving Into Second Clinton Jumps To Lead In The Democratic Race

Iowa Polling Results for the Presidental Election of 2008

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 09/28/2007 -- Strategic Vision, LLC, a public relations and public affairs agency, announced the results of a three-day poll in Iowa of 600 likely Republican caucus goers and 600 likely Democratic caucus goers on the 2008 Presidential Election. The poll has a margin of error of ±4 percentage points for each Party's presidential preference.

When Republicans were polled on whom they would support in 2008 for the Republican Presidential nomination, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney led with 30%; followed by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani with 17%; former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson with 13%; former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee 8%; Arizona Senator Jon McCain 6%; former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich 5%; Texas Congressman Ron Paul 3%; Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo 2%; Kansas Senator Sam Brownback 2%; California Congressman Duncan Hunter 1%; and 13% undecided.

"Romney continues to lead in the state and has in our polling since June largely due to his heavy personal campaigning and advertising in the state which has gone largely unchallenged by the other candidates," said Johnson. "The surprise is that Giuliani has now moved into a clear second place showing having fallen behind Fred Thompson in our last two polls. While Giuliani has regained support, Thompson lost ground since entering the race. Romney leads among social conservatives and older voters while Giuliani does better among younger professional voters."

"For McCain, this poll continues what has been a downward spiral for his campaign," continued Johnson. "This is the lowest McCain has polled since we began our Iowa polling. Despite hopes that his campaign has been expressing of replicating John Kerry's comeback in 2004, it is hard to see McCain regaining his footing. It is hard to see how McCain can survive if he does not finish in the top three in Iowa. Huckabee is showing momentum in the last months and could possibly overtake Thompson which if that happened could change the dynamics of the entire race."

When Republicans were asked if they viewed President Bush as a conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 7% said yes; 75% said no; and 18% were undecided.

"The fact that such a large number of Republican voters do not view the President as a conservative in the Reagan mode, demonstrates the overall problem for the Republican Presidential candidates," said Johnson. "How do you run as a Ronald Reagan conservative in a Party that is dissatisfied with the incumbent without offending the incumbent, or at some point does the President's poll numbers become so low that he is no longer relevant?"

When Republicans were asked how important it was for their presidential candidate to be conservative in the mode of Ronald Reagan, 47% said very important; 20% said somewhat important; 6% said not very important; 15% said not important; and 12% were undecided.

"For Republicans, the key is to be Reaganesque while at the same time defining themselves with their own imprint," said Johnson.

When Republicans were asked if they favored a withdrawal from Iraq in the next six months, 53% said yes; 37% said no; and 10% were undecided.

On the Democratic side, New York Senator Hillary Clinton led with 24%; former North Senator John Edwards received 22%; Illinois Senator Illinois Senator Barack Obama received 21%; New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson received 13%; Delaware Senator Joseph Biden received 4%; Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd received 1%; Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich 1%; and 14% were undecided.

"This is the first time since we began polling in Iowa that Clinton has led," said Johnson. "At this point she has the momentum in this state. For Edwards these numbers are disastrous as there is no way possible that he can survive without winning Iowa. This race remains volatile."

When Democrats were asked if they favored a withdrawal from Iraq in the next six months, 84% said yes; 7% said no; and 9% were undecided.

"This question poses a problem for Democratic candidates," said Johnson. "While they must appeal to the dominant anti-war crowd, at the same time they cannot take too extreme of a position that will alienate moderate voters in the General Election and if the surge appears to be working they cannot appear to be advocating defeat when victory may be nearing."

When Democratic voters were asked what they most looked for in a presidential candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology, 30% selected ideology; 30% selected experience; 27% selected charisma; and 13% were undecided.

"With more Democrats looking for experience this must be good news for Clinton as she is the candidate of experience and Edwards and Obama are the candidates of charisma," said Johnson.

Book Reveals Myths, False Illusions, and Lies about Men
Book Has Earned Critical Praise Across The Nation

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 09/20/2007 -- Men – The Gods of Love by Dr. David Eigen, (Hardback, ISBN 978-0-9797399-6-5, Gender Studies Institute, 2007) has been released nationally and is earning critical praise across the nation.
"Our old concept of what a man is developed from ancient notions, and today's concept of male is a more feminized one, the so-called metrosexual," said Dr. Eigen. "My intention was to explore the truth about what a man truly is – he is a powerful, feeling, and loving being, whose strength is derived from his love, not will. Further, he draws upon his thinking and feeling abilities in balance and with ease."

"I believe that the issues covered in Men – The Gods of Love, that will enlighten members of both sexes," continued Dr. Eigen. "The empowered of men to allow feelings and find their inner loving power is my goal, as well as enlighten women to see and hold men in a different light. This will occur by reading my book."

Men – The Gods of Love, is designed to finally answer the age old debate of what makes a man who he is. It asks many tough questions including: "Does anyone really know what a man is, or are men just acting as they were told, mostly dictated by the patriarchal role models?" The book has received strong endorsements within the academic community.

Here are some of the universal questions that will be clearly asked and answered in the Men – The Gods of Love:

•	Are you partaking of an age-old quest, that of searching to find someone to heal you of your unhappiness?

•	Do you go from one task to another, one partner to another, or one goal to another, never feeling quite fulfilled?

•	Have you wondered how and why your relationships seem to lose their "magic," only to be transformed into something seemingly hollow and unfulfilling?

•	I pretend to be the fearless hero, but inside I feel fear. How can I get past this, and what if I am seen as fearful?

•	I believe a woman wants a fearless man to feel protected. If my fear is seen, will I be rejected and left alone—abandoned.

•	I am sometimes sad, yet I am not allowed to feel it or show it by crying. What if this gets exposed?

•	Am I faulty because I cannot stop these feelings? I must not allow myself to think this!

•	I work to provide for others, yet I never feel fulfilled. This seems hopeless. Am I but a customer in this game called relationships?

•	I learned to disconnect from my feelings, so I could be the "man" for my woman. Now I am told I am heartless. What's the use in trying?

•	What is the so called "mid-life crisis" really about?

•	Why are men the way they are?

Author Leigh Thomas Offers Warning Signs Of An Abusive Situation

Domestic Violence Is On The Rise In The United States
Women — Victims Of Violence In High Profile Disappearances
Husbands And Boyfriends Accused And Suspected Of Murders Across The Country

Atlanta, GA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 09/07/2007 -- Leigh Thomas, author of the critically acclaimed "An Ordinary Journey," is providing warning signs of an abusive domestic relationship. Thomas, an activist for women in abusive relationships is offering the warning signs for family members and friends of those in abusive relationships, as well as, the victims of domestic violence. According to Thomas, it is not until after a major act of violence that family members or friends will recall what should have been danger signs in a relationship. Additionally, the victims themselves often are in denial that they are in an abusive relationship. Studies show that domestic violence is on the rise in the United States.

Thomas herself was in an abusive relationship that included an attempted murder by her now ex-husband. In her book, "An Ordinary Journey," she tells of surviving incest, two rapes, and attempted murder. This first hand experience has given her the mission to share her story and get people talking about abuse, even if it is one person at a time.

"In situations of possible domestic abuse, I always tell women to 'Listen to yourself,' or as it's also known 'listen to your Women's Intuition,'" remarks author and women's activist Leigh Thomas. "A lot of people poo-poo this idea, but I've found if the pit of your stomach tells you something's up, you're probably right and too often ignore this feeling until it is too late."

Signs you might be in an abusive situation:

1. If you are being cut off from your family friends.
2. If you are not allowed to do things or go anywhere alone.
3. If you are not allowed to have access to a joint money account or if you have to give your paycheck to your spouse/partner.
4. If excessive drinking and drugs are a part of a daily routine.
5. If there appears to be excessive jealousy in your relationship.
6. If you are either the physical or emotional punching bag from another individual.
7. If you are constantly being told by your significant other how fat, stupid, or ugly you are, or any other degrading name calling.
8. If you are walking around with bruises you can't explain to friends and family.
9. If children and/or animals appear afraid of your significant other.
10. If your partner has severe mood swings from calm to violent

Thomas suggests that if any of the above signs apply to you (or someone you know) to start talking to a therapist, a clergy member, a friend, a work mate, or to anyone who might listen and believe what's going on – even if to start with, it's to yourself in the bathroom mirror. She identifies 3 parts to an abusive relationship: 1) the abuser, 2) the victim and 3) the bystander(s) – which includes family member(s), friend(s), etc.

"In order to isolate me from the rest of the world, the first week of our marriage, my ex-husband sold my car so I couldn't go anywhere when he wasn't home," recounts Thomas about her own abusive relationship. "I was too young to understand there was a bus stop and freedom two blocks away."

Thomas recalls the bad times with a sense of humor and frankness to inspire other women to seek help. In her book, she shares more warning signs and survival tips for domestic abuse.
