Mobile Shopping Power Unleashed by AppGreen New Features

AppGreen (appgreen.com) has launched two new features to provide mobile shopping and social sharing experience to online store owners.

Hong Kong -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/03/2012 -- Considering the uprising trend of mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads and many other tablets available in the market, mobile shopping is still not a popular trend when compared with traditional online stores. While popular e-commerce solution providers such as Magento and Shopify are providing mobile store templates to users, a Hong Kong-based mobile catalog solution provider called AppGreen has launched two new features in the last week to provide mobile shopping and social sharing experience to online store owners and their customers.

Targeting Current Online Store Owners
AppGreen has launched two new features in the last week including "Buy Now" button and social sharing function to its catalog solution. The "Buy Now" button allows business owners to sell products immediately on iPad. Business owners can connect each product in the catalog with its corresponding page of the online store. When customers browse the catalog, they can make purchases immediately by tabbing the "Buy Now" button. Then the catalog app would direct the customers to the corresponding online store web page to finish the payment and shipping arrangement. The concerning payment process and stock management are within the original system so that online store owners need not worry about handling another new system. It is believed that this new feature would help AppGreen further extend their businesses towards mobile commerce.

Go Social – Go Mobile
The second feature is about social sharing function. It is an inevitable action to implement social sharing in every mobile application. Social sharing includes Facebook "Like" or "Share", or sending tweet in Twitter. Concerning the details, AppGreen allows users to share the whole catalog or any product within the catalog to their friends through Facebook and Twitter. This ensures a viral spreading of the product or catalog in a certain extent and this would provide customers another option to come in contact with any catalog from AppGreen.

Going Mobile is No Longer a Yes/No Question
The new features mentioned above are especially useful to online business owners because business owners could extend their business through mobile devices and they would only need to manage the original platform. Besides the benefits of applying the AppGreen solution, going mobile or not is no longer a Yes/No question. A recent research from Forrester revealed that 24% of U.S. adult iPhone users had used a shopping application in the past three month. The above figure is expected to grow exponentially such that the world mobile commerce market is expected to hit 119 billion USD in 2015. Therefore at this moment, many mobile catalog shopping apps such as iTouch Catalog and Catalog Spree are striving to grab the attention from public.

AppGreen officially launched in mid-February 2012. Since then, AppGreen has been providing DIY platform for users to build catalog application. Users can try AppGreen's service for free and can publish the finished catalog app to AppGreen Marketplace, which is a catalog viewing app only for AppGreen's users. Currently there are more than 3000 registered users, with over 300 catalogs published through AppGreen's catalog building service. Now with the new features, business owners can link up their online stores with the catalog apps to build a real catalog shopping experience.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Simon Siu
Email: Click to Email Simon Siu
Web: http://www.appgreen.com

AppGreen – Making Mobile-Optimized Product Catalog for Businesses

North Point, Hong Kong -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/23/2012 -- AppGreen, a Hong Kong-based startup, has launched a mobile product catalog solution, providing a business tool to enhance companies' abilities in mobile commerce and mobile marketing. With this ready-made mobile catalog solution, companies can create product catalog applications on iPad without any technical help, where finished product catalogs are promoted to public through a catalog application called AppGreen Marketplace. Unlike some existing product catalog solutions, catalogs made by AppGreen's solution are optimized for the mobile user behavior.

"A Self-help Platform for Companies"
AppGreen's service consists of two major parts – catalog building and catalog publishing. For the catalog building service, AppGreen provides a web-based self-help portal for companies to create and manage their product catalogs. Users can upload images, input product details and apply templates for quick design. In addition, AppGreen allows users to add "More Details" or "Buy Now" button linking to users' websites or online stores. All the above procedures can be finished within AppGreen's online portal, which means that there is no extra software to install other than your browser.

After finishing the building process, users can choose to publish catalogs to AppGreen's application – AppGreen Marketplace or publish to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in the future version. Currently AppGreen is in beta, where publishing to AppGreen Marketplace is the only possible choice. "In the long term, we aim at helping businesses get more targeted traffic by making the AppGreen Marketplace a place where people can shop and share their favorite products," said Eric Tang, the Co-founder of AppGreen.

"Making Mobile-Optimized Product Catalog"
"AppGreen focuses on the mobile-optimized product catalog solution, while most of the existing mobile product catalog solutions in the market are not designed to make a mobile-optimized catalog," said Eric. Unlike making a website, to suit the mobile user behavior, button size and font size are important issues. Combined with different finger gestures and the product browsing experience, these are the essential factors that determine a mobile product catalog's success. Most of the existing catalog solution providers have failed to achieve the above factors, while companies adopting these solutions can only create a web-like experience to their customers, which is nothing newer than browsing an online store by PC. "Mobile product catalogs made by AppGreen's solution are well-designed with all the essential factors achieved. It can be a marketing tool or just another way to make sales" Eric added.

"The Startup Story"
Transforming from a web and mobile technology provider into a mobile business solution startup, the AppGreen team expects great potential in the mobile application solution industry. "We used to develop mobile apps for corporate clients. And it is interesting to discover that most of their requirements are similar, either to display products or moving their online stores to mobile," said Eric Tang, "We hope our solution can help businesses, especially those who cannot afford to pay for a technology vendor, explore the usefulness and efficiency that mobile technology brings to them."

"Free To Go"
Currently, AppGreen is in beta where free accounts are offered if users help get the message out. Users can sign up at AppGreen's website (http://www.appgreen.com). Once users have invited three other users to sign up, they will immediately receive the invitation to this mobile catalog builder.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Eric Tang
Co-founder
AppGreen Limited
Email: Click to Email Eric Tang
Web: http://www.appgreen.com
