Ottawa Hills Expecting Action Packed Season

Toledo, OH -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/07/2012 -- As the Toledo Area Athletic Conference (TAAC) gets under way the Ottawa Hills Green Bears boys baseball team will be looking forward to an action packed season as they try to prevent the two time reigning champions Northwood Rangers from making it three-in-a-row. Despite the fact they have lost all of their pitchers to graduation Green Bears coach Chris Hardman seems optimistic that the six new starters in the team will have no problems stepping up into the varsity class.

Coach Hardman appears to think the Northwood Rangers are still the team to beat even though his own record often ends up with the Green Bears being made favorites, he recently told The Toledo Blade that "You have to give the nod to the defending champs, but I think we'll have a pretty good team." After going (19-7, 8-2 TAAC) the Rangers have also lost a steady senior class but after themselves going (16-15, 7-3) last season the exciting action will surely arrive when the big two meet head to head later in the season.

In addition to welcoming back six seniors the Green Bears will likely be looking towards promising young Scott Tucker (IF/P) to add a touch of class to the defense after his good work last year, posting a 2-2 record with a 3.89 ERA. Even though coach Hardman is playing down talk of being favorites he does think that the Green Bears have worked hard to get to where they are and will be quick on the base paths and sound defensively, although the one area where coach Hardman appears to have questions is with pitching.

According to The Toledo Blade, Hardman said "The kids have worked hard to be good. We are always the favorite. But we haven't won the league in three years." The Ottawa Hills Green Bears and the Northwood Rangers will also be facing some pretty stiff competition with Toledo Christian expected to perform well this year, meaning as the action gets under way the race for the TAAC title should be a three way tussle all season long.

Limestone Lacrosse Coach Scott Tucker Eyes NCAA Action

In Gaffney, SC. the Limestone Saints women's lacrosse team is having an amazing season.

Gaffney, SC -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/26/2012 -- In Gaffney, SC. the Limestone Saints women's lacrosse team is having an amazing season. Although they have never won the national championship the Limestone Saints' head coach Scott Tucker appears to be encouraged by their performances as they head into the 2012 Conference Carolinas Tournament this coming weekend.

Last Saturday's 21-2 home victory over Converse means that the 4th ranked Saints completed the whole of the regular season Conference Carolinas Championship undefeated which sets them up nicely to attack the Conference Carolinas Tournament with optimism. The format of the Conference Carolinas Tournament means that it would take a win in the semi-final and then final to make the NCAA Tournament.

After Saturday's comprehensive win coach Scott Tucker recently told the Spartanburg Herald-Journal that "Everybody played well today for themselves and for the seniors. He went on to add that "It was an all-round encouraging day for the upcoming tournaments." The Limestone Saints host Newberry on Wednesday in a non-conference class game before the Conference Carolinas Tournament gets under way at Queens University in Charlotte on April 21st.

Since a narrow 11-10 defeat to top ranked Rollins back in February the Saints have gone onto record 12 straight wins including the first 4 game winning streak by at least 20 goals in the programs history. If the Saints manage to win the Conference Carolinas Tournament this weekend they would have the advantage of playing the NCAA semi-final game on home turf, which would likely help to extend their amazing action packed season just a little longer.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Alan Murphy
Email: Click to Email Alan Murphy
Web:

Scott Tucker Shoots Play off Success for Langham Creek Soccer

Scott Tucker, head coach of the Langham Creek High School boys soccer team is targeting some play off success for the Lobos this season after they reached the play offs for the sixth consecutive year.

Houston, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/16/2012 -- Soccer is a big deal in the Houston Metro area and Scott Tucker, head coach of the Langham Creek High School boys soccer team (The Lobos) is targeting some play off success for the Lobos this season after they reached the play offs for the sixth consecutive year. With the district championship up for grabs coach Tucker is hoping the Lobos can finally make their mark in the play offs for the first time since 2009 when they tied for the district championship.

After a 3-1 victory over Cy Woods last week head coach Scott Tucker told The Cypress Creek Mirror that "This game right here guarantees us no worse than a co-championship, it really put pressure on the teams chasing us because we've kind of been the front runner most of the year." Even though the Lobos have made it through to the post season five team play offs for the last six seasons there hasn't been much for the Lobos to shout about when it comes to success in the play offs, and that is something head coach Scott Tucker wants to address.

When talking about falling at the first hurdle of the play offs in recent years, Langham Creek Lobos head coach Scott Tucker told the Cypress Creek Mirror that "There's a lot bigger task at hand than we're trying to get. Six consecutive years of making the postseason and the last five, we've gone out in the first round. We're trying to get something bigger than that." The Lobos still have a great chance of winning the district championship though, but in order for them to clinch the championship they will need to rely on The Cy Ridge Rams stumbling.

Last season Cy-Fair won the district championship and Scott Tucker will be hoping that Langham Creek's impressive season (17-5A) continues into the post season play offs. Sophomore Midfielder Fernando Hernandez has been one of the stars for the Lobos so far this season scoring some vital goals from midfield. The Lobos will be hoping he can continue his impressive goal scoring record as the play offs get started.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Susan Richman
Email: Click to Email Susan Richman
Web: http://inspirationalsportsstories.com/

Scott Tucker's Development Team is fully committed to ensuring that the young kids invited to join the Level 5 Motorsports Development Team do not compromise their education in any way whatsoever as their quest to reach the pinnacle of motorsports.

Lawrence, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/11/2012 -- Scott Tucker's Level 5 Motorsports Team have launched a Development Team which is lending promising young motorsports champions of tomorrow a helping hand on their way to the top.
