Lacrosse Coach Scott Tucker Appears Pleased With Conference Win

Louisville, KY -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/07/2012 -- Todd Shanesy from the Spartanburg Herald-Journal recently caught up with Scott Tucker, coach of Limestone College's women's lacrosse team after they claimed victory in the Conference Carlolinas tournament. According to the Journal Tucker appeared to be delighted with the performance of star player Racquel Prager, who continued her hot streak of recent form.

Limestone Saints secured the tournament by defeating Belmont Abbey 19-6 in Charlotte, NC. last week and Prager scored 6 goals for the third consecutive game. Tucker told the Journal that "She's unbelievable' Tucker heaped further praise on Prager telling the Journal that "She's actually developed into a multi-role player for us. She was always good at isolations, taking the ball to the goal. But she's done a good job of keeping her head this year, getting some assists and creating offense for others."

The win at the Conference Carolinas now means that the Saints are into the national playoffs. They will in all likelihood host the quarterfinals game in mid May. If they continue their good form one more win will see the Saints move into the final four which is set to be played in Louisville, KY at the end of May. Prager also won the MVP prize which was no surprise really considering her amazing goal scoring exploits this season.

The saints now have a 16-1 record this season and came into the game against Belmont Abbey hoping to add to their college record of scoring 20 or more goals which stood at five straight games. The 19-6 win was just short of the 20 needed to extend the record even further but the comprehensive victory will do the Saints' confidence no harm at all as they prepare for the quarterfinal game in May.

Scott Tucker on Track to Secure Title Defense

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/08/2012 -- Scott Tucker, driver and owner of the Level 5 Motorsports team recently earned his second consecutive victory of the new 2012 Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series and is on track to successfully defend his ALMS P2 championship. Last week's triumph at Long Beach followed the season opening victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring back in March. Tucker will head into next month's race in Monterey full of confidence as he looks to extend his points lead in the standings.

Tucker's nearest rivals, the Conquest Endurance duo of Martin Plowman and David Heinemeier-Hansson are 11 points behind him in the standings. At Monterey Tucker and team-mate Christophe Bouchut will be looking win again to open up a healthy points lead as the season nears the half way mark. Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut have developed a great understanding so far this season earning back-to-back wins in their #055 HPD-ARX03b car. In the recent Long Beach race, it looked for a long time like the Conquest Endurance's Martin Plowman would clinch victory but the Level 5 team snatched the win in dramatic fashion passing the Plowman's #37 Morgan-Nissan with only 3 laps remaining in the race.

Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut are no strangers to success at Long Beach, and their experience and know how came in handy during the closing stages of the race. There had been some pre race talk suggesting that Conquest Endurance could pose a real danger to Level 5's hopes to retain their title but an unfortunately timed pit stop meant they couldn't hold of the Level 5 challenge. Their recent switch from Judd to Nissan seems to have reinvigorated the Conquest Endurance and they will remain a threat to Level 5 along with Black Swan Racing. The next race in the series is The American Le Mans Monterey Presented by Tequila Patron from May 10-12, 2012.

Limestone Coach Scott Tucker Praises MVP Prager After Win

Scott Tucker, coach of the Limestone Saints women's lacrosse team was full of praise for top scorer Racquel Prager recently as she broke the College's single season goal scoring record recently in Charlotte, NC.

Charlotte, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/02/2012 -- Scott Tucker, coach of the Limestone Saints women's lacrosse team was full of praise for top scorer Racquel Prager recently as she broke the College's single season goal scoring record recently in Charlotte, NC. The Spartanburg Herald-Journal's Todd Shanesy recently caught up with Scott Tucker and according to Shanesy's recent piece Tucker appeared to be really pleased with not only Prager's record breaking goal scoring exploits bur her overall play for the team.

According to the article, coach Tucker commented that Prager was "unbelievable" and he also highlighted her ability to open up offensive plays for her team-mates. Last week the Saints scored a 19-6 win over Belmont Abbey that all but ensured they will be hosting the quarter finals game of the national championships in mid May. Prager scored 6 goals for the 3rd straight game and broke the single season record for the most goals scored in the college's history - 63 goals.

Prager's 64th goal of the season was her 5th of the game and her 64th of an amazing season. She is fast approaching the all time college career record of 184 goals, which is currently held by the Saints' assistant coach, Lauryn Wise. The win over Belmont Abbey secured the Conference Carolinas tournament for the Saints and Prager also clinched the tournament's MVP accolade too. Tucker was quoted in The Spartanburg Herald-Journal as saying "She's actually developed into a multi-role player for us." Which suggests her abilities are not restricted to simply putting the ball in the back of the net.

The NCAA quarterfinals now beckon for the successful Saints who have won 5 consecutive Conference titles. This year they are looking for their first division II championship success. They are ranked 4th and if Prager can continue her rich vein of goal scoring form the Saints will be confident that they can extend their season just a little longer - where the biggest prize can be found, the national championship crown.

Lacrosse Coach Scott Tucker Has High Praise for Defender Smith

Scott Tucker coach of Limestone College's women's lacrosse team has been heaping praise on star defender Morgan Smith.

Charlotte, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/02/2012 -- Scott Tucker coach of Limestone College's women's lacrosse team has been heaping praise on star defender Morgan Smith. After celebrating their 5th straight Conference Carolinas Tournament triumph Tucker was quick to praise his players who have been selected for the All-Tournament team.

Smith joins Sylvia Queener, Jenelle Fortunato and most valuable player Racquel Prager in making the ranks of the All-Tournament line up.

Coach tucker was told Spartanburg Herald-Journal that "We've had some other local kids who played on the team and made some contributions. Morgan is the first to make the lineup." Tucker went on to add that "It just shows that if you have a good work ethic, you're quick and athletic, you can pick it up and succeed in this game."

The article went on to state that Smith, now a senior didn't even start playing lacrosse until she was in 9th grade and her rapid rise in the lacrosse world was all the more remarkable since she didn't come from the Northeast where youngsters traditionally grow up with the game. Smith got her taste of lacrosse when her high school started a team.

After their success in the Conference Carolinas Tournament the Limestone Saints are now headed to the NCAA quarterfinals. The Saints will play host for the game in early may. Their opponents for the game have yet to be determined but after becoming the 3rd ranked team for the NCAA Tournament coach Scott Tucker won't be expecting the season to end just yet.

Soccer Coach Scott Tucker Enjoys First Play Off Win In 5 Years

Adam Coleman caught up with Scott Tucker, coach of the Langham Creek Lobos high school soccer team who recently enjoyed the end of the Lobos play off drought as they recorded their first play off win in more than 5 years.

Houston, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/02/2012 -- In a recent article by the Houston based Cypress Creek Mirror, Adam Coleman caught up with Scott Tucker, coach of the Langham Creek Lobos high school soccer team who recently enjoyed the end of the Lobos play off drought as they recorded their first play off win in more than 5 years. Last week's 1-0 defeat of Aldine was the first time the Lobos have made it past the round of the play offs for 5 years. The victory, which came courtesy of Fernando Cardona's goal at the start of the second half secured a bi-district play off win which sent the Lobos into the area round of the play offs where they will meet Seven Lakes.

The Lobos, 17-5A district champions finally scored their first goal in the play offs for many years which seemed to please coach Scott Tucker, who had set a pre season target of getting through the first round of the play offs. He told The Cypress Creek Mirror that "I told these guys the last time we scored a goal (in the play offs) was in the regional quarterfinals against Chavez in '07." He further added that "We definitely feel good about where we're at. Just glad to be here right now and glad we bought another day for us."

The Lobos had progressed to the first round of the play offs for the sixth consecutive season but had fallen at the first play off round every year before this success. The victory over the Aldine Mustangs was no mean feat as The Mustangs were coming off the back of a very good season where they had given Alief Elsik, one of the best teams in the state trouble all season long. Coach Scott Tucker will be hoping The Lobos can extend their season some more with a victory against Seven Lakes next week.

Mountain Bike Race Organizer Scott Tucker Ready for Big Race

This is the fifth year that the Dry Hill has staged the Northwest Downhill Cup race on the outskirts of Port Angeles.

Port Angeles, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/27/2012 -- In Port Angeles, WA. The Peninsula Daily News recently caught up with Scott Tucker, the co-organizer of the Northwest Cup National Mountain Bike Championships who is optimistic that this weekend's upcoming races will be a huge success. The race is the biggest non World Cup race event in the whole of the country and is second of three scheduled race meetings to take place on the Dry Hill course this spring.

This is the fifth year that the Dry Hill has staged the Northwest Downhill Cup race on the outskirts of Port Angeles and according to Brad LaBrie's piece in The Peninsula Daily News the organizers are expecting around 400 racers to compete. The entrants in Northwest Downhill Cup are a mixture of both amateur and professional racers.

The event is open to the public and for the first time and co-organizer Scott Tucker is anticipating that the large number of professional racers competing will result in record crowds. He told The Peninsula Daily News that "Our timing helps draw the World Cup riders. They come here because we race before the World Cup Season begins."

The Dry Hill course is one of the few in the nation to meet World Cup standards and this means that the professional riders enjoy competing as it gives them some much needed practice before the World Cup season starts. There will be extra food and beverage amenities available for competitors and spectators and even a shuttle bus which is expected to help prevent parking congestion. Scott Tucker went on to add that it's a good time to see competitive mountain biking up close and personal.
