Global Academy Online Creates $50M Hybrid Startup

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/08/2012 -- Global Academy Online, Inc., a Washington DC based privately held university builder announced today the formation of an international consortium to develop hybrid universities in Vietnam, the Peoples Republic of China, Costa Rica, Canada, and the USA. Each project according to CEO, Dr. Fred DiUlus is valued at approximately $10 million and expected to service approximately 100,000 students within three years.

The mammoth project has been in development since June of 2009 when a single Chinese university project in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, sought out the Academy to assist in developing education programs in North America and raising $10 million in school expansion funding. Over the next six months, the funding requirement mushroomed to a $97 million funding package when the Academy invited the ancient Shaolin Temple global education project into the mix and added for the university a separate international Mandarin language online school, the first in China.

The super project financing was undertaken by a group of financiers from Michigan, British Columbia, Ohio and New Jersey. After a year of effort to acquire hard assets sufficient to secure a guaranteed standby letter of credit for the Chinese school, the Chinese university requested the Academy to find alternative funding sources. Dr. DiUlus says it was particularly painful and disappointing in view of the fact that the Shaolin Temple, a 1500 year old cultural phenomena and third largest tourist attraction in China entered into the education cooperative agreement for the first time in modern history with North American educators only to be disappointed by western financial funding sources.

To stave off what appeared to be a blockbuster failure, the Academy developed an alternate strategy. In May 2011, financial specialists set about putting a team of investment, accounting and legal experts together. Headed up by long time project management professional, Dr. David Hostelley, a CPA who is a 50 year veteran of forming SEC approved IPO's, reverse public mergers and private placements, he has moved the Academy close its goal of total project funding.

The Academy's own first investment in the consortium is expected to be a 10% private placement of the $50million sought followed by funding through the public sector over the following 45 days.

Dr. Fred DiUlus is the author of the annual BEST WORST Online Degree Program Providers rating and ranking of online universities and a pioneer in online higher education. He is also the Director of the non-profit foundation, the Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise, the original developer of Global Academy Online Inc. and a half dozen other education and training organizations.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-139907.htm

Media Relations Contact

LaFonda Oliver
Sr. VP
Global Academy Online, Inc.
Telephone: 432-847-4040
Email: Click to Email LaFonda Oliver
Web: http://GlobalAcademyOnline.com/37901/index.html

Real Truths of Online Education

Pioneer Exposes Present and Predicts Future

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/23/2012 -- Dr. Fred DiUlus, online education systems inventor and Director of the non profit online Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise (CEFE) and the creator of its international university builder, Global Academy Online, recently spoke out on the real truths of online higher education. The forum was the Journal of Online Education.

According to research undertaken by the Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise over the past 15 years, 90% of students around the world who experience traditional and online education side-by-side at some point in their academic lives, rate online learning as superior or as good as traditional classroom teaching. The myth that a degree obtained through an online program is not as credible as a traditional classroom education is simply, states DiUlus, "A myth ".

The myth is held on to; DiUlus goes on to say, by college administrators and professors who perceived the risk as too costly to their own careers fearing for the schools and their own reputations. "Within the last four years, many universities have been drawn to online education, not because they consider it worthy or they changed their minds about its value, but because of their necessity to survive economically in the face of legislative and benefactor cutbacks in support." He notes that many see online education as a cash cow, not as a way to really improve their knowledge delivery.

Consequently, financial survival not academic excellence is driving the detractors to adopt online programs for their schools at a record pace. The result according to DiUlus is shoddy prep and ill prepared educators. "The school's ability to support infrastructure and the declining financial health of their institutions is seriously impacting administrative decisions to go online, not the lofty idea that the value of the education is actually better."

When Dr. DiUlus is asked what he holds for the future of higher education, he states, "Colleges and universities as we know them will cease to exist in a generation transformed by technology and 24/7 continuous education online."

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-137074.htm

Media Relations Contact

LaFonda Oliver
Sr. VP, Director of Communications
Global Academy Online, Inc.
Telephone: 432-847-4040
Email: Click to Email LaFonda Oliver
Web: http://GlobalAcademyOnline.com/37901/index.html

Education Pioneer Honored for 50 Years of Service

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/17/2012 -- Education Pioneer Dr. Fred DiUus was recently selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who publications for the 15th consecutive year.

Marquis Who's Who publications are the original and legendary biography books listing outstanding individuals whose lives are singularly notable. Marquis has been doing this for over 100 years. They have set the standard of excellence in recognizing outstanding Americans and world leaders. DiUlus is among 95,000 Americans to be chosen to be listed in the 2013 Edition of Who's Who in America. DiUlus is also listed the '2013 editions of Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Education and Who's Who in the South and Southwest.

As the man behind the creation of several "firsts" in higher education, DiUlus also comes from a storied past as one of the nation's top investment experts in the 60's, 70's and 80's before entering the field of higher education as a professor of Market Economics. He is the founder and volunteer leader of a non profit foundation, CEFE, which has spread its influence around the world through its for-profit and non-profit creations.

Historically, DiUlus has called economic turns with uncanny consistency over the past five decades. He is credited with inventing a bank and savings and loan ratings analysis, The Federal Financial Digest and Register, which identified and exposed ailing and insolvent savings and loans and banks. The books were a catalyst to the eventual downfall of four corrupt individual state guarantee bank insurance funds, closure of over 600 insolvent savings and loans and hundreds more commercial banks that were toxic to the public.

As a professor and Sam Walton Fellow in Free Enterprise he organized student entrepreneurial leadership programs at five universities and one that led to originating micro loans for business startups in West Africa in the late 90's. The micro loan programs helped hundreds of small entrepreneurs promote and develop new enterprises throughout the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), especially the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria. In 2010/11, President Barack Obama awarded him the President's Gold Volunteer Service Award for his years of dedicated volunteerism.

The Marquis publications are updated annually and found digitally or in hard copy on most public library shelves around the world.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-136756.htm

Media Relations Contact

LaFonda Oliver
Education Pioneer
Telephone: 432-847-4040
Email: Click to Email LaFonda Oliver
Web: http://GlobalAcademyOnline.com/37901/index.html

Global Academy Online's CEFE Joins President Obama's Council on Service

Prestigious Award Honors Outstanding Commitment to Volunteer Service

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/17/2011 -- Global Academy Online announced today that its non profit Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise (CEFE) has teamed with the White House to become a Certifying Organization for the PRESIDENT'S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD, a national program recognizing Americans who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteer service. Established in 2003 by former President George W. Bush to give Presidential recognition to individuals, families and groups who meet requirements for volunteer service as measured by the number of service hours performed over a 12-month period. President Barak Obama's administration has carried forward the highly successful volunteer Awards Program.

CEFE is one of many organizations that have joined forces to deliver the PRESIDENT'S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD and honor those volunteers who strengthen our Nation. As a Certifying Organization for the AWARD, CEFE is responsible for verifying service hours, nominating potential recipients and delivering the AWARD.

"We are extremely proud to recognize outstanding volunteers with the PRESIDENT'S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD," states, Dr. Fred DiUlus, CEFE's volunteer Director and CEO of Global Academy Online, Inc. He goes on to say "Volunteers are role models in our communities, donating their time, energy and talent to bring us closer together as neighbors and as a Nation. The AWARD is our way of thanking these volunteers and inspiring everyone in our nation's communities to make volunteering a central part of their lives."

Even for those who have never volunteered before, the PRESIDENT'S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD is within their reach, according to DiUlus. "There are so many ways to contribute, and every volunteer hour makes a difference in improving the quality of life for others." Dr. DiUlus suggests, "We encourage everyone to get involved and to bring along their family, friends and neighbors. Together, we can strengthen America – one hour at a time."

The AWARD is issued by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, the group that helps foster and encourage a culture of volunteer service and civic participation among Americans. The program is chaired by two-time Super Bowl Champion Darrell Green, with former U.S. Senators Bob Dole and John Glenn as the original honorary co-chairs. The Council is composed of leaders in government, media, entertainment, business, education, nonprofit and volunteer service organizations and community volunteers.

Grooming New Entrepreneurs

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/22/2011 -- The Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise, CEFE, announced today the release of its newest free eBook on Entrepreneurship, Guerilla Entrepreneurship: The Original. This is the 15th version written by Dr. Fred DiUlus, a noted online education expert and entrepreneur who traces his own roots in entrepreneurship back 130 years.

As a founding Director and a Senior Fellow at CEFE, Dr. DiUlus first wrote the eBook as a college Entrepreneurship course supplemental text. Using it as an aid to new venture development, students found the book indispensable in developing real income producing enterprises while still in college. The eBook has evolved over the years to become one of the required training aids for CEFE's School of Entrepreneurship, an online training school where graduates can become Certified CEFE Fellows in Entrepreneurship.

First published in 1997, the free eBook has been revised and updated annually by DiUlus in order to keep up with the exploding domestic and international opportunities for entrepreneurs. The current version of the eBook is particularly timely as the severe economic downturn in the national economy and the global financial turmoil brings the USA perilously close to a double-dip recession.

Dr. DiUlus calls the eBook a toolbox of entrepreneurial 'do's'. "An entrepreneur's greatest time", he goes on, "is when everyone else is too frightened or frozen in place to strike out on their own, while entrepreneur's will make an investment of their time, talent and treasure to undertake a new venture. Wall Street calls this the Contrarian Theory and for entrepreneur's, economic downturns are a call to action."

Emerging entrepreneurs, states DiUlus, who are prepared for failure will save a lot of angst down the road if indeed failure follows them. Being prepared for the possibility, they will use their failure as a symbolic learning tool and not be afraid to start over again. The eBook offers readers the latest information on how to discover if they are entrepreneurial, and if so, how to use their time and proven personal talent to assure their ventures may be successful.

"Entrepreneurs", DiUlus says, "are not created by studying a textbook or listening to lectures but require a healthy dose of hands on learning as well." Readers of the first chapter, he offers, will bring them face to face with the reality of whether they are entrepreneurs or not, regardless of their education or what they study.

The Small College Survival Blueprint

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/22/2011 -- Author and online education pioneer Dr. Fred DiUlus, CEO and Founder of Global Academy Online, Inc. and the father of online higher education ratings and rankings is an online education revolutionary. Dr. DiUlus' innovative ideas for small liberal arts school survival grew out of a teaching assignment at a small southwestern college twelve years ago where he says he witnessed, "An administration and board of trustees apparently frozen in their ability to attract students to the remote campus in the high desert of New Mexico."

Amidst the oil patch, dairy farming, and ranching that surrounds Lea County, DiUlus, an Associate Professor, Sam Walton Fellow and Director of the school's largest student organization, the Students in Free Enterprise, he dreamed of bringing the small liberal arts college the wonders of advanced online education and his college firmly into the 21st Century. He was convinced the school using his system would attract an online world-class faculty, develop multiple degree choices that would appeal to global students seeking exceptional innovative curriculum. He was certain, he said, that his program would draw students from around the globe to the small liberal arts college like bears to honey.

Two members of the isolated desert school's administration agreed with him - the Director of Institutional Development and the Provost. Both, he says were fired for daring to suggest the school should expand in the direction DiUlus was promoting. With his own position in jeopardy and willing to risk everything he owned, Dr. DiUlus resigned and launched with the assistance of four fellow university employees and five former students, Global Academy Online, Inc. The Academy quickly became the premier provider of private-label online courses, faculty to teach them, and the purveyor of an online learning management system that has become the #1 system in the world.

What evolved was unheard of in academia. DiUlus and his colleagues loosed on higher education a patent qualified system that permits any college, university or eLearning organization, regardless of size, resources, or location, a unique ability to offer extensive online curriculum and instruction from a single source. The confidential, private-label granting source was Global Academy Online.

Taking a partner organization's existing in-house resources, the Academy installs a system that does not require hiring a single new faculty member or investing one dollar for development aside from the initial license fee. Almost instantly, a college is possessed of an internal ability to add qualified, accredited instructors and curriculum online.

Today, almost ten years after the installation of the first system, Global Academy Online serves and partners with institutions and individuals on five continents.

The Academy system is totally invisible to the public. Learners of client institutions see excellent, previously unavailable online courses and degree programs they can take from anywhere in the world. Instruction may come from their university's Academy trained faculty that has substantially been enhanced by The Academy's own adjunct pool. DiUlus offers that the Academy's faculty pool of over 200 is "second to none."

Over the years, Global Academy Online has added multiple private-label degree programs, five major divisions plus three non-profit online schools under the Academy funded cyber based education foundation, the Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise. Divisions include a public relations and promotion marketing unit, a credential and student verification services division, a University Builder financial services arm to assist partner schools in expansion funding, an Asian division to promote international education and development between North America and Asia and an assessment/recruiting division to assist licensed and accredited universities and colleges with their expansion and retention.

DiUlus notes that the Academy will put an isolated one of a kind course and one exceptional professor inside an existing college anywhere in the world or if the school desires it, an entire degree program with the qualified staff to teach every course. He goes on to say, "We also can assist a traditional school or start-up organization create, form and fund the organization of a brand new online school or training facility from beginning to operational readiness."

To become a member of Global Academy Online's faculty pool requires a yearlong screening process. According to Sr. Vice President and Director of Communications, LaFonda Oliver-Bowen "Teaching for Global Academy Online partner schools provides our faculty exceptional opportunities to teach within innovative education environments while contributing to the advancement of learning throughout the world."

The late Peter Drucker, the father of modern management, cautioned college administrators and educators with his ominous scenario that brick and mortar traditional universities as known today will not exist in a generation. DiUlus concludes the Academy offers schools a path to future survival and success. "At risk institutions like these can not only survive the future but live to compete with any school, draw students from anywhere, and do it all to such an extent, they can not even begin to imagine."

Avoiding Problems With Online Schools

BEST WORST ONLINE DEGREE PROVIDERS identifies marginal online schools as well as the top 20 online shcools.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/08/2011 -- The most problematic online colleges and universities according to the recently released 2011, 8th edition of the BEST WORST ONLINE DEGREE PROVIDERS are all found in the USA. The book shows that nearly 80 higher education institutions fall into this category. The author is online education pioneer and the father of online education ratings and rankings, Dr. Fred DiUlus.

In addition to the marginal schools, Dr. DiUlus also identifies the top 20 online universities and rates and ranks several hundred other online institutions on a ranking scale of 1 to 5. Schools rated a "1" are at the bottom and those rated "5" are at the top. Most schools, DiUlus says, fall comfortably in between. "Learners need to be cautious of the marginal schools before paying for an education that may or may not advance their careers."

There are two reasons according to Dr. DiUlus for the recent surge of interest in America and the exponential growth of online degree programs from outstanding to marginal schools. One is economic and the other is fear of being left behind. The first he says is the depressing state of the national economy. It alone, he offers, is driving the demand by non-traditional students seeking job security and advancement in a very tight job environment.

Fear of being left behind is contributing to traditional schools growing rush to add online education opportunities. This, says DiUlus, has not been met by overwhelming support from traditional educators. He points out that traditional faculty perceive online education does not measure up to the rigor of a typical faculty to student classroom.

Long established classroom educators pressured by their schools to add online courses share a concern that such programs will contribute to a declining value of their schools and their own reputations. The criticism is not without merit as an increasing number of online colleges DiUlus ranks are being added to the marginal category annually. Unfortunately, he says, this supports what is the number one myth regarding online education.

With endowments and legislative largesse for universities on the wane, DiUlus observes many schools are being forced to adopt online protocols. They are seeking ways to supplement revenue in spite of traditional faculty objections.

Top Ten 2011 Online Universities in the World

Top ten online universities in the world according to BEST WORST ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAM PROVIDERS.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/29/2011 -- Four of the top ten online universities in the world are not "Made in the USA" Three international schools covet the top slots according to Dr. Fred DiUlus, the author of the 2011 8th annual edition of the BEST WORST ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAM PROVIDERS.

Dr. DiUlus, an online education pioneer and father of online higher education rating and rankings is the CEO and founder of Global Academy Online, Inc. He examines online program providers with a refined proprietary five point rating scale he invented almost thirty years ago. Of great importance to the ratings he says is the quality and contribution to the value of the institution by their online faculty, whether full-time or adjunct.

Some, perhaps many schools today, in an attempt to catch up seem to be drawn to doing it for all the wrong reasons. This, DiUlus offers, is brought on by the reality of faculty and program cutbacks due to harsh economic times. He says, "Criticism erupts with an oft repeated admonishment that schools are chasing a misperception that online classes are their salvation."

Many traditionalists fear online academic rigor and quality suffer because of false hope. DiUlus agrees but not because he sees schools as ill intentioned to make a financial killing but as he describes it "ill prepared and unknowing what it takes to run successful and respected online degree programs." He reveals that over 80 of the several hundred schools currently ranked easily fall into that category.

The 2011 top ten ONLINE degree program providers are:

1. University of London, #1 in the world for eight consecutive years.

2. University of South Africa, #1in Africa.

3. University of Southern Queensland, #1 in Australasia.

4. University of Phoenix, #1 in America. Largest university in North America that made being online legitimate. Copied but not eclipsed.

5. Jones International University, conceived, created, and designed to be a world leader in online higher education.

6. Golden Gate University, a downtown San Francisco trolley car school that has international and worldwide appeal.

7. University of Liverpool, an international school with appeal to American students for both traditional and online programs.

8. Ellis College of NYIT, a northeast, USA competitive giant with programs, faculty and marketing to go with...

9. University of Maryland College Park, Made study abroad fashionable. Online programs and faculty are highly competitive.

10. Drexel University, a class performer that has sought to make their online programs among the best in the world.

If a college is not in the current eBook, it may be under current study, too new to rank, or just not worthy at this time because of the school's lack of current experience in offering online programs. If it is an accredited college offering online programs and not yet listed, Dr. DiUlus says it is already targeted for review and will be included in future editions of the BEST WORST ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAM PROVIDERS.

Four Stupid Myths of Online Education

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/06/2011 -- In an upcoming new book, THE ONLINE UNIVERSITY THAT IS BEST FOR YOU, Dr. Fred DiUlus, an online school ratings expert and the CEO and founder of Global Academy Online, Inc. a prime outsource provider to colleges and universities, devotes a chapter to exposing popularly held myths about online higher education. The myths, he says, have been propagated over the years by online teaching critics who he says, "don't appear to know they don't know".

Many detractors he suggests cling to the notion that a traditional ground-based education is superior to all forms of online teaching. Their fear, he says, is seemingly enhanced by online learning's popularity among students and the growing mass appeal it has in a very weak economy that demands of its workers more education.

DiUlus offers that four of the myths are genuinely stupid deductions promoted widely by those who should know better. "This has been particularly troubling to online educators," he says, "as the myths are utterly nonsensical and an irrational twisting of the truth, believed by many, in order to steer students away from online education." The public, DiUlus says, "is catching on to these false proclamations as top universities in the world, one by one, adopt the methodology and promotion of online higher education."

Myth #1: An online degree is no good and worthless.
Almost 70% of students that have taken both online and on-ground courses actually prefer online classes. The findings are based on the annual research conducted by the Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise, Global Academy Onlne's non profit foundation. The positive percentage continues to grow annually as more students enter online programs.

Myth #2: You need American accreditation to possess a legitimate degree.
Foreign schools offering online courses are licensed in their home nations permitting full articulation with American accredited universities. Diplomatically, they are recognized in the USA without so-called American accreditation. Little known is the fact that the US Federal Government also does not require a college or university anywhere in America to be accredited. Accreditation in the USA is strictly voluntary. US Dept. of Education approved private agency accreditation such as North Central, Middle States, Western, etc., permits their member schools to qualify for receipt of Government sponsored Federal Financial Aid; a process that has been described as an accredited but marginal school's Federal license to steal. On the other hand foreign universities, without the same so-called American recognition along with accredited but totally online schools, are painted as less than worthy. Considering this includes schools like the 1000 year old University of Bologna and the almost two hundred year old University of London, one quickly sees the absurdity and disjointed value system of these bizarre claims of superiority of the American standard.

Myth #3: Good jobs are not available to online degree holders.
Employers, public or private, require of employees and applicants flaunting a college degree to first demonstrate its authenticity. In the USA that is now demonstrated by accreditation from a recognized agency authorized by the US Department of Education, if it is an American school. In the case of foreign schools, degrees can be validated by agencies certifying the work is equivalent to US accrediting standards. The notion that a Bachelors degree or a Masters in order to be valid or of value to an employer must come first from an accredited classroom based school is totally preposterous. Today, employers encourage employees and applicants to acquire schooling online as it permits employees to do school and their work uninhibited by time constraints, travel and availability.

Myth #4: Online colleges are easy to get in and easy to get a degree.
This dual myth's underlying fable supports Myth #1 - #3. Many online schools have open enrollments but also demand that students be non traditional, older and allegedly more mature. As a result the attrition rate can be higher than in a traditional university as enrolled students find matriculation both difficult and well beyond their idea of "easy". Online degrees earned from universities with programs completely or partially offered online require the same rigor and difficulty as that of their traditional classroom counterparts. US Dept. of Education approved agencies demand it.

DiUlus observes that the majority of online students feel online classes exact a high price in personal commitment. Individuals must sustain a discipline beyond mere study to manage and succeed online, a fact generally unknown to anyone other than online students and their professors. He suggests aspiring online learners should follow a strict protocol in selecting an online school that includes first checking school ratings, followed by personal interviews with students and finally, tracking down and interviewing members of the school's faculty. Prospective students should, he says, demand proof of the school's credibility and worthiness.

Global Academy Online to Fund College Acquisitions and Expansion

Dr. Fred DiUlus, CEO and founder of Global Academy Online, Inc., announced today the company has formed a new institutional funding division known as University Builder, LLC

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/18/2011 -- Dr. Fred DiUlus, CEO and founder of Global Academy Online, Inc., announced today the company has formed a new institutional funding division known as University Builder, LLC. According to Dr. DiUlus the division is designed to underwrite and manage colleges and universities for the purpose of expanding their traditional and online programs exponentially.

Built in, he says are aggressive marketing add-ons to attract top scholars while sustaining high academic standards in order to recruit outstanding faculty for each institution under their wing.

University Builder LLC sprung from the success of Global Academy Online in bringing together a Sino-American education development pact in late 2009 and early 2010. The agreements brokered by the Academy resulted in the cooperation between North American and Asian partners in funding up to $120 million in university growth in the USA and China over the next three years.

The mission of the Academy's new division according to Dr. DiUlus is to underwrite schools with the potential for growing enrollments through international expansion with hybrid and totally online side-by-side schools. He says that the new division provides the expertise to accomplishing this without sacrificing academic rigor or compromising quality and faculty-student relationships. To assure these tasks are accomplished, each university funded must be non profit.

"Colleges and Universities" says DiUlus, "ought not to be in the business of education to solely make a profit but rather they should sink their positive revenue completely into making a better academic environment that is both less costly and not to just please shareholders." He goes on to say that for-profit schools have done an "incredible job" in bringing education from all levels up to places never before thought possible. "It is time however", he says, "for non-profit universities, old and new, to break the mold of endowment and legislative dependency and step up to the plate and earn their right to exist. They have been shown the way." In the meantime, he says, University Builder will fill the void wherever and whenever possible with next generation academic institutions.

Survival and Prosperity Online Strategic Planning Hits Higher Education

Global Academy Online has invented and initiated a 24/7 online institutional strategic planning and assessment program tool.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) --06/09/2011 -- Global Academy Online, a program and systems provider to colleges and universities, has invented and initiated a 24/7 online institutional strategic planning and assessment program tool. The online system addresses the spiking demand for fluid, dynamic institutional planning brought about by the online revolution in both higher education and industry.

According to Dr. Fred DiUlus, the father of online education ratings and CEO of the firm, this radical change in the frequency of strategic planning required assessments are fueled by increasing demands for new technologies including social networking and innovative fingertip communication applications. Traditional higher education, states DiUlus is struggling to keep up with online education demand and missing many of the opportunities that full integration of online leaning provides.

American schools, DiUlus warns, are faced with increasing challenges for students brought on by an onslaught of global competition unlike anything ever experienced in higher education. The number of schools currently being forced into bankruptcy and dissolution is unprecedented in the history of higher education In America. "Schools who are not on top of this", he says, "are headed for extinction."

For small colleges and universities facing ongoing extensive budget cuts because of an abysmal economic climate, traditional priced strategic planning consulting services are cost prohibitive. "Our system cuts the cost by two thirds and permits leadership to contribute and tweak the process as they see fit 24/7.", says DiUlus. The Academy system makes it affordable for any school's budget, no matter how large or small."

The World's First Online Education Temp Service

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/07/2011 -- Teacher Online Professional Services, also known as TOPS, is the first of its kind to offer schools, colleges, and universities worldwide professional temporary hire teachers skilled in online teaching.

The unique temp service is the brainchild of online education pioneer and Global Academy Online CEO and founder, Dr. Fred DiUlus. He brought Global Academy Online, Inc. to life in 2002 offering colleges and universities private label online curriculum and doctoral faculty.

With TOPS, schools, colleges and universities around the globe can order up temporary online faculty support to teach and develop online curriculum at all education levels from high school to grad school. According to marketing expert and Sr. Vice President LaFonda Oliver-Bowen, "the exponential growth of online education has created an overwhelming demand and vacuum for experienced and competent online faculty to support ever expanding classes at all levels of education."

Many schools admit, says Oliver-Bowen, that they have great difficulty in recruiting experienced professional online educators quickly. "We've been outsourcing faculty for years to partner schools and TOPS now makes it possible to share a wealth of experience and our reservoir of online education experts."

She goes on to point out that not every classroom professor or high school teacher is cut out for online work nor do many she says, particularly desire to learn how to do it effectively. Most aging faculty today have never taken, developed, or taught an online class so it is understandable that they would be reluctant to teach in an environment they are unfamiliar.

"Our considerable time in the field", states Dr. DiUlus, "makes us very experienced in determining what teachers at all levels must know to be effective online educators." Universities and school systems, he says, learn this painful lesson daily when they try to force and convert traditional classroom teachers to online education providers against their will.

Inquiries regarding TOPS are available from Global Academy Online.

Teacher Online Professional Services, TOPS, Makes Its Debut

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/14/2011 -- Global Academy Online, the nation's noted online university builders, announced today the launch of their new professional service specializing in placing experienced online educators with schools seeking online teachers. The global service is being offered through a brand new Academy division, Teacher Online Professional Services or TOPS.

The TOPS division according to Academy Sr. Vice President LaFonda Oliver Bowen specializes in offering institutions experienced online K-12 and college level faculty on an as needed basis. Schools requiring online teachers need only contact TOPS for temporary or long-term assistance in teaching their online courses. Institutions according to Ms. Oliver-Bowen can either retain TOPS professionals on a part time or full time basis. Currently the agency is offering professional teaching services in over forty collegiate fields and the entire spectrum of K-12 online education.

The idea of the online professional teacher agency came from the increasing demand for online classes at all levels of education and the fact that schools have difficulty in recruiting knowledgeable and experienced professional online educators. Global Academy Online, Inc. has been outsourcing faculty for over eight years to institutions on five continents while servicing their own clients and partner schools in developing and teaching online courses and complete programs.

"Our considerable experience", states Dr. Fred DiUlus, CEO and founder of Global Academy Online, "makes us experts in what faculty and regular school teachers must know to be effective online educators." He goes on to point out that not every classroom professor or school teacher is cut out to teach online. Universities and school systems, he says, learn this painful lesson daily when they try to force and convert classroom teachers to online education providers against their will.

TOPS is the first employment agency of its type and the first to offer online schools worldwide temporary experts and seasoned online doctoral educators and specialized teachers from K-12 to undergraduate and graduate levels. Oliver-Bowen emphasizes that all instructors they represent are or have been full time educators in a traditional setting for at least three years with at least one year under their belt as an online instructor. "All instructors available for outsource through TOPS", she says, "will have met our stringent requirements for representation including being able to use the most advanced online protocols available today."

All teachers represented by TOPS are specialists in working with the major course management systems like MOODLE, Blackboard and others. They are required to possess relevant accredited credentials and teaching experience in their degree fields. Institutions interested in hiring a part-time or full time online instructor can reach TOPS by going through the Global Academy Online website.

Teaching the Public Free to Teach Online for Free

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/22/2010 -- Global Academy Online, Inc., international online university builders, has launched a new program for skilled individuals who are not professional teachers. The Academy offers to teach them to offer their expertise online to a worldwide audience. They will be provided their own teaching platform for free. The Academy is asking in return a pledge from the new teachers that they will offer part of that new online teaching ability to people in need of improved skills for free. This, the Academy refers to as the perfect quid pro quo i.e. something for something.

Five years ago Global Academy Online launched the first free create-at-will online education platform for professionals. It gave college faculty and K-12 teachers the independence from any school unrestricted access to personally own, create, develop, and load as many of their classes as they could onto the Academy's specially designed course management system. In turn, the system is capable of parsing out those creations to any recognized online system in the world to be used by the teacher and the institution that hired them to teach classes online. Today, after having successfully trained online faculty on five continents, the Academy is making this same professional program available to the public.

The unique program is offered through the Academy's course management systems division, Powered By Global (PBG). According to Elizabeth Cooper, managing director, the new program is designed to permit unskilled non-educators the ability to learn to use and create personalized classes online through use of PBG's specially designed course management platform. It includes all the same tools of its sophisticated university learner and course management systems now in use at universities and schools around the world.

"Getting started" Cooper observes, "is as simple as 1,2,3. We make sure the new teacher can create and load their courses online." Some, she says can do it literally within hours of sign up. The academy estimates there are at least one million or more potential skilled teachers who are non-paid in America alone. She points out this reservoir of talent has never set foot in, or taught, in a traditional classroom but possess incredible knowledge and skills they can share and teach to others online. Director Cooper says, "We provide the newly discovered teacher the direction and assistance to make it all possible."

To enter the program, an individual fills out a brief application to determine if their skills can be communicated and taught effectively online. They then schedule sessions online with PBG at their convenience. The new teachers are provided the latest technology to traverse the 'learn-to-teach protocol' and become competent to provide chat, video, audio, live presentations, and social networking capabilities for their future students or trainees. Many other technical innovations, to numerous to mention according to Cooper, are available to the fledgling online instructors. "We want them to grow in expertise and comfort in using our system while we provide the assistance to get them comfortable and confident with it.

"The program is totally free, just as the one we launched for faculty and professional teachers years ago" states Dr. Fred DiUlus, the CEO and founder of Global Academy Online. "What is absolutely terrific about being able to offer our learner teaching system to the public now" DiUlus says, "is our system has matured to a point where we can provide an unskilled online instructor all the tools that will potentially create new opportunities for them and jobs for their students." Teacher specialties, DiUlus points out, include literally everything from auto mechanics to plumbing, fishing to farming, welding to making tool dies. "If the skill exists," he says, "it can be taught online."

Information regarding the Academy's new free program opportunity can be found on the Powered By Global website.

Global Academy Online Spreading the Wealth of Knowledge

CEFE is managing the Academy driven project known as the Billion Dollar Project.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/30/2010 -- How does one go about spreading knowledge around the world, at no cost and with the educators and trainers all donating their time and talent without leaving their home or office? CEFE, the Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise, a non-profit education arm of Global Academy Online, DC based university builders, is doing just that.

CEFE, the sixteen-year-old cyber based non-profit ethics and entrepreneurship education provider for professionals and individuals is managing the Academy driven project known as the Billion Dollar Project.

Dr. Fred DiUlus first envisioned the Billion Dollar Project thirty years ago. However, the technology did not exist sufficiently to carry out his vision to eliminate poverty and hunger in the world by destroying ignorance. With the low cost of technology and computers today, DiUlus says the Academy CEFE foundation has activated the means to educate anyone literally anywhere in the world. Anyone, anywhere can learn the skills of survival. This, he says, will feed families and grow infrastructure and nations without massive dead-end handouts.

DiUlus has put together over the past 14 years the means to reach out to everyone in the world to help others help themselves through education and training .For his volunteer efforts in developing the Billion Dollar Project and his ground breaking ability to create the first online tuition free university against overwhelming odds, President Barak Obama has awarded Dr. DiUlus the 2010 President's Volunteer Service Award for his contribution to society and his "…devotion to service and for doing all he can to shape a better tomorrow for our great nation."

"My hope and that of the volunteers drawn to the Billion Dollar Project", DiUlus says, " is that those we teach and train will turn around and pass it on. WE don't need billions to do this work. All that is needed are dedicated volunteers willing to give their time and talent to reward themselves with the satisfaction they are making a real contribution that will provide real results.

Dr. DiUlus is an online education pioneer and considered the father of online higher education ratings for quality, rigor and value.

University of Maryland Online College Among World's Top Ten

The University of Maryland University College is ranked among the top ten online universities in the world.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/29/2010 -- The 2010 edition of the Best Worst In Online Degree Programs named the University of Maryland University College, among the top ten online universities in the world. The free eBook is the oldest grader of online schools and traditional venues offering online programs. It is the fourth time in the past eight years the university has measured up to being among the best among over 300 rated and ranked institutions worldwide.

Currently, the University College offers almost 800 distinct courses online and more than 100 college programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and certificate training levels. The elite rating firmly establishes the University College of the University of Maryland in the forefront of advanced online learning. It has been a pioneer, according to Dr. Fred DiUlus, the research author.

Since the beginning of the trend to online learning in the 90's, DiUlus points out that equally prestigious schools pulled out of online education development after abortive experiments to try it. More than one, he says, claimed that online education was more about process than content. Believing it, they systematically withdrew and dropped their early programs. Maryland's University College however stuck it out and its students and school are reaping the benefits of it today.

According to Dr. DiUlus, who is also the CEO and Founder of the publisher Global Academy Online, Inc., "The University of Maryland's vision has continuously contributed to it's growth and sustainability over the years as one of the premier providers of online higher education." It has become, he notes, one of the models the early detractors of online education are now scrambling to emulate.

The Best Worst Online Degree Programs is the oldest and most comprehensive global ratings service of online programs. It measures value of both traditional and purely online universities. It is available free to the public from several Internet resources.

Ellis College of NYIT Among 2010's Top Ten List of Online Universities

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/22/2010 -- Ellis College of NYIT is one of the top ten online universities in the world out of over 300 measured and rated by the 2010 edition of the Best Worst In Online Degree Programs. Published annually by university builder Global Academy Online, Inc., of Washington DC, USA, the eBook rates online higher education providers from around the world annually. The ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale with number 5 being the highest rating a university can achieve. Of those, Ellis College is among the best of the best.

Ellis College of NYIT is a major division of the New York Institute of Technology and was created to provide working adults with a credible way to advance their careers utilizing all the advantages of online learning. They deliver, according to eBook author, Dr. Fred DiUlus, both a superior education and learning availability of anytime, anywhere, convenience of the Internet.

Ellis College, DiUlus says, is among the early adopters of an online interactive learning venue to especially accommodate adults returning to or starting college. These students, many of them multiple years away from high school, are permitted to take one class at a time to facilitate a working adult's busy schedule. Like other highly rated top ten schools, Ellis College offers an extensive virtual campus experience that enables learners and their professor mentors the ability to interact 24/7 in the school's online virtual world. They share, according to the college, ideas and mutual interests while building valuable friendships and professional networks.

Ellis College is among an elite group of virtual schools worldwide that immerses students in real-world work situations that enables them to learn by doing in a pragmatic and adaptable environment. The school's interactive Web-based online learning platform allows for dynamic Flash exercises, videos and demonstrations permitting students to acquire knowledge and skills that they can apply immediately.

Dr. Fred DiUlus, a noted online education pioneer, has been researching and rating domestic and international online higher learning providers for over eight years. He uses a proprietary five-point matrix to rate and rank schools with special emphasis on each university's faculty.

The Father of Online College Rankings Speaks Out

A fundamentally sound education taught online does not require bricks or mortar. It requires, DiUlus says, passionately dedicated online teachers who can deliver a first rate education online. Premier universities of the future are those that will do justice to both sides of the house equally.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/25/2010 -- In 2002, Dr. Fred DiUlus started to rate and rank online universities. He did it for free and he continues to do it for free as a public service uninhibited by advertising or hidden agendas. His eBook rating of online accredited universities is the Best Worst Online Degree Programs. He was the first in the world to do it. No one in academia, he says, seriously paid online universities much mind nor took them very seriously in early 2000. Mainstream educators, for the most part, thought online education was of no useful value except to gin up buckets of money for the for-profit, privately run, online schools.

Some of the most successful financially he says are the public companies that run the University of Phoenix, Capella University, and Grand Canyon University along with several others. Many desperate, financially hard-pressed traditional non-profit schools in need of more money have found online education to be the quintessential 'cash cow'. Their entry into the market place has legitimized to a large extent the total online for-profit industry.

Even though the schools that are for-profit are severely criticized for what many feel are obscene profits at the expense of education, the view and perception of online education has changed dramatically in the last eight years. Growth of online program providers that DiUlus currently rates has gone from a little over 20 in 2002 to over 300 in 2010.

Dr. DiUlus credits a growing positive view of online education coming not only from the early adopter, non traditional, students heading back to school to get their postponed degrees, but also from the new overwhelming number of traditional students who have experienced both classroom and online education before entering college. DiUlus cites his own research that shows a new generation of scholars believes by a margin of three to one, that online education beats learning in a classroom hands down.

Today's global economic climate has financially challenged many institutions that are heavily vested in brick and mortar projects forcing them, whether they like it or not, to seek out funds wherever it might lead. For most that has lead to offering online classes. However, DiUlus points to online programs at some large schools as financial disasters. MIT, Columbia, and The University of Illinois at Urbana are just three examples he cites. "MIT and Columbia pulled the plug years ago and literally all of MIT's 1500 online courses are now free. Illinois, on the other hand is a recent tragedy. They inescapably could not seem to get out of their own way, says DiUlus, to manage the program properly.

DiUlus argues that leadership from the top must be dedicated, persistent and passionate about the contribution online education will make to a university. Frankly, he says it must shake off the traditional fears of alumni and 'set in their ways' faculty. The University of Akron is an example of forward thinking leadership in DiUlus' book where the school rates near the top in online programs. Illinois can barely muster a so-so ranking and MIT and Columbia are not even rated.

"From the beginning" DiUlus states, "I wanted to provide the most objective and realistic evaluation. I scrubbed the name off the building. I wanted to know what was inside and who the leaders were. I wanted to know if the professors could teach online and if so were their students walking away with a first rate education." That, he said, smacked in the face of how schools were traditionally rated. Take away the sports teams, the buildings, the alumni, the research grants, and a recognized scholar here and there and you find a school laid-bare. "You see", he says, "only the faculty, the administration and the students in the end count and if push comes to shove we can ditch the administration." This is the only way you can judge online schools he says. The rest is window dressing.

Traditional schools entering online education do not necessarily provide the best programs. The fact is, DiUlus comments, that many in higher education heading for retirement in the next five to ten years could care less whether their university succeeds in online education. "Many tenured faculty pay lip service to the phenomena and know something has to be done about it but that's it for them." That attitude DiUlus points out, leaves the door open for the new giants of higher education tomorrow who may neither be the traditional college or colleges born and bred in the USA.

Many of today's seasoned academics grouse that they can't retain the copyright from the development of their courses online and that they are being severely restricted in both the design and delivery of classes they create online smothering their academic freedom to do what they want versus what they can do in a classroom. This rubs off on the students as it did in Illinois, MIT and Columbia and the students will walk away. Add in the growing generation gap between older professors and younger students separated by a huge technology gap, DiUlus concludes, and it clearly illustrates the distance between student and faculty has never been greater or more dramatic.

It's a serious public relations foul-up says DiUlus but the schools are afraid if they push too hard, their traditional courses will be skewered. "Schools are afraid of ruffling the feathers of alumni, benefactors and faculty while knowing full well that their students already know that online delivery is better. DiUlus says it's a nasty Catch 22 for traditional schools.

As a result, new startup and older exclusive online schools are chipping away at the market share of traditional colleges and the onslaught of well-funded, highly effective online learning machines are hitting American shores. The traditional education industry in America DiUlus says is in for a massive shakeup of revolutionary proportions.

A fundamentally sound education taught online does not require bricks or mortar. It requires, DiUlus says, passionately dedicated online teachers who can deliver a first rate education online. Premier universities of the future are those that will do justice to both sides of the house equally. Several of his top ten ranked online schools evidence that very fact. He warns that if traditional schools, no matter how old or how long they have been around don't grab hold of this and do it right, they will cease to exist.

One Man's Passion to Revolutionize Education and Crush Ignorance

Author and international online education expert Dr. Fred DiUlus, wants to “crush ignorance through knowledge”.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/13/2010 -- Author and international online education expert Dr. Fred DiUlus, wants to "crush ignorance through knowledge" and that knowledge he says, "We can deliver." DiUlus offers that dedicated individuals can do this with or without the aid of today's schools, training centers, colleges and universities. For him and his colleagues, it's a 21st Century education revolution all made possible by the invention of the cell phone, computer, and the Internet placed in the hands of education entrepreneurs desirous of spreading the wealth that comes from knowledge.

For the past 14 years, DiUlus the CEO and founder of Global Academy Online, Inc., a Washington DC based university builder has steered the firm and its founding organization, the non profit Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise (CEFE) into multiple pioneering efforts to revolutionize online education on five continents.

The offspring of the online CEFE Foundation created by DiUlus as part of his doctoral internship in 1996 are many. In addition to the eight-year-old university and education consultant Global Academy Online, several other innovative online education creations were born. They include the premier online rating service of the best and worst online degree programs in 2002; the first global tuition free online university in 2003; the first online entrepreneurship school and the first online applied ethics certification program in 2004; the first online private label school and course and learner management system in 2005; the first online volunteer Billion Dollar Project to attack ignorance in the world in 2008; and most recently, the first blended (part online, part on ground) International Business Centers and Language Institutes in 2009 that bridges eastern and western culture and values.

Global Academy Online, the first of his creations after CEFE has evolved over the past eight years to become the "ultimate" startup online university developer. The firm is capable of putting a virtual cyber campus inside any established traditional school or assist an organization to establish a brand new stand-alone Internet school, college or training center. "The cost to start" DiUlus flatly states, "is net zero." How this is possible is what makes his Global Academy Online programs work and the secret to his patent pending system.

DiUlus says Global Academy Online set out to provide everything to add or create a virtual university to an existing traditional or start up school in a fortnight. Along with saving them a half million dollars just for starters in both hard and soft money he adds, "We give traditional schools the power to recruit students previously unavailable to them from anywhere in the world."

The Academy's private label systems for organizations are publicized and promoted by its public relations arm known as University Promotion Marketing. DiUlus says, "We arm our institutional clients with 42,000 plus media contacts to expose their new programs to provide them a dominant base for recruiting exposure nationally and internationally."

Over the years Global Academy Online has created over 50 private label certificate and degree programs that institutions may selectively pick and choose among. Other add-on services include student screening, faculty credential verification, domestic state school licensing and international accreditation processing for new programs. The vanguard of these programs is the faculty the Academy provides to schools to teach them.

The key to any school's success DiUlus often writes is embodied in the very criteria the Academy demands of its own outsource faculty. He says that apart from the basics of academic qualifications, each individual scholar's dedication to teaching, regardless of what level they teach, must come from a depth of experience and a "burning" passion to teach and excel online or in the classroom.

Over the past two years Global Academy Online has helped initiate over a $100 million dollars in international developmental financing to existing and startup organizations for school construction, academic research development, and online school growth. For example, the first Chinese based, Chinese language online learning system in the Peoples Republic of China was introduced by the Academy. "Few outside China know", offers DiUlus, "that over 300 million Chinese also speak English, more than the population of the USA, giving their scholars wide access to both worlds." China and India are hot on the heels of the USA to be the educational giants of the future.

DiUlus' experience with online schools and institutions attempting to offer online education makes him one of the few objective experts in the field when it comes to ranking them. He makes that knowledge available to the public free through Global Academy Online from research he compiles in a free eBook titled Best Worst Online Degree Programs. Analyzing and rating over 300 schools offering online degrees is one of our many public services, DiUlus says "This should automatically be a prospective students first stop on the way to selecting an accredited online school to attend.

This year Global Academy Online will directly or indirectly impact over 100,000 students. Just two years from now, Dr. DiUlus estimates Global Academy Online and his cyber-based CEFE Foundation will share online services, training programs, and higher education instruction through private and public organizations with over a half-million students worldwide. His passion to defeat ignorance with education spread through cyber-space seems to be catching on rapidly.

San Francisco's Golden Gate University Listed Among Worlds Top Ten Online

Golden Gate University is listed as the 8th best online university among over three hundred institutions.

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/21/2010 -- The 2010 Edition of Best Worst In Online Degree Programs has placed Golden Gate University among the top ten online program providers and listed it as 8th best online university among over three hundred institutions. The publication is the oldest online program ratings service in the world.

For the past eight years Dr. Fred DiUlus, author of the e-Book and CEO and Founder of Global Academy Online, has compiled the stats and rated institutions providing online degree programs using a five point matrix. "The book's five-point ratings model puts emphasis where it belongs," according to DiUlus, "on the school's professors, their knowledge, credentials, experience, ability to teach and a student's ability to learn."

Established in 1901 in San Francisco, the University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Business, Technology, Taxation and Law to meet the needs of working adults. The School of Taxation has the reputation of being the largest and most respected in the nation with specialized internship programs that offer students practical, hands-on business experience.

DiUlus points out that Golden Gate is the quintessential 'trolley car school' convenient to managers and those who want to be in the heart of the city complete with faculty shared with outstanding area colleges. With combinations like that, he says, a traditional or online student has a first class experience seldom duplicated in the USA. The Cyber Campus permits students around the world to take advantage of the school's outstanding faculty and curriculum to study on their own schedules using the Internet.

The University of Liverpool began in 1882 with 45 students in the iconic Victoria Building in Liverpool England. The expression "red brick university" was derived from the building's red bricks. The University of Liverpool was granted its Royal Charter in 1903.

The University is counted among the first universities in Europe to establish departments in Oceanography, Civic Design, Architecture and Biochemistry and is considered today to be the UK's sole institution with full clinical coverage. A pre-eminent research-based university, 18,000 traditional students pursue over 400 programs spanning 54 subject areas. Online learning is specialized in Masters Degree programs in Management, Medicine, Information Technology and Law. The school claims over 155,000 alumni living in 159 countries.

Best Worst In Online Degree Programs does not accept advertisements of any kind nor does it include in its ratings of any institution that are not properly vetted to ensure there is no conflict of interest with the consulting work of Dr. DiUlus or the mission of the publisher. This quality control, according to DiUlus underscores the integrity and fairness of the publication. Free for the asking through Global Academy Online, the eBook is the oldest comprehensive rating of universities offering online degree programs.

Jones International, One of the World's Top Five Online Universities

Washington, DC -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/25/2010 -- The just released 2010 edition of the Best Worst Online Degree Programs rates Jones International University is in the top two of online colleges in North America and among the top five in the world.

Dr. Fred DiUlus, author of the eBook's annually published ratings is the CEO and founder of Global Academy Online Counted among the foremost experts in online higher education; he has been rating online institutions since 2002 when there were barely 20. The number of schools Jones International is compared to has grown to over 300. The rating system puts great emphasis on a school's professors and a student's ability to learn.

Jones International, according to Dr. DiUlus, maintains a steadfast concentration on their learners excelling in Business and Education programs. He states that because of this emphasis "They attract high-end professionals that include students who want to attend and faculty who want to teach." He adds that the university is a pioneer online higher education model for universities seeking online accreditation and international recognition.

Glenn R. Jones, the founder of Jones International University feels education should be available to everyone, everywhere. In 1987 he launched the cable television network Mind Extension University. This made it possible for 30,000 students to take courses from more than 30 colleges and universities via his television school.

Jones International became the first 100% totally online university to be recognized and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. "Today", DiUlus says, "they have become a much imitated model for online development by schools around the globe."
