Dr. Cesar Parra: Master Equestrian Plan Will Protect Riders, Horses

Wellington, Florida, is creating a master equestrian plan that will address horse safety and other important concerns. Dr. Cesar Parra believes that this plan, as well as the upcoming equestrian preserve area, will improve the sport and enhance the safety of riders and their horses.

White Station, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/31/2012 -- Bloomberg Businessweek asserts that a new plan, currently in development, will speak to equestrian interests in the city of Wellington, Florida. An area known for its equestrian features, the city is looking to create a plan that will address rider and horse safety, waste disposal, and other concerns. The article asserts that this plan will also "be a framework for the future of Wellington's Equestrian Preserve area, roughly the southern half of the village." Dr. Cesar Parra, an equestrian trainer and founder of Piaffe-Performance, supports this initiative 100 percent. He believes that the creation of such a plan is in the best interest of riders, horses, and equestrian sports as a whole.

The article explains that the plan will be drafted after the Equestrian Preserve Committee analyzes data provided by village staff. Staff members have been documenting details about the preserve and issues concerning the horses and equestrian sports in an effort to pinpoint the changes that need to be made.

One of the major challenges facing the Committee is the issue of transportation. Naturally, the report needs to address horse paths and the Preserve will need to provide them. But cars are also an important mode of transportation that must be considered. Additionally, the use of golf carts poses a problem. Used by riders and grooms, they play an important role in equestrian culture.

Mike O'Dell, who is the Program Director of the initiative, explains the dilemma: "We only have so much space. Do we create different types of roadways to allow for both carts, vehicles, and horses? Let's look at volume of traffic and see what's safe and what's not safe."

Budget is also a concern, as the project has limited funding. Dr. Parra believes that, despite these challenges, the Committee will be able to create a plan that improves equestrian opportunities in southern Florida.

"All of the change in Wellington is really exciting for our sport and it is extremely thrilling to see how the different show organizers are raising the standards of venues, footing, etc." states Dr. Cesar Parra. "All of this new development will unquestionably provide a huge boost to the sport in our country."

Dr. Parra is excited to learn more about this project and anticipates that the release of the finalized report will prove to be a positive milestone within the equestrian community.

Sam Mustafa of Charleston: Food Services Must Meet High Standards of Safety, Consistency

In order to ensure food safety among American consumers, foodservice giant, Sysco, has made changes to its quality control processes that are hoped to be adopted across the industry. Sam Mustafa of Charleston Hospitality Group explains the importance of maintaining food service.

Charleston, SC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/29/2012 -- Although there are many food safety guidelines already in place for American manufacturers, restaurants and suppliers, consumers have grown more concerned with what they are putting in their bodies. Part of consumer concern stems from questions regarding food safety, a factor discussed in a recent article from Beef Magazine. The article observes how Sysco—a leading company in the foodservice industry—has addressed recent consumer demand for more information regarding food safety practices. As an expert in the catering industry, Sam Mustafa of Charleston believes that those in the food industry must work to provide consistent quality and food safety for both travelers and residents all across America.

According to the article, consistency in food safety is a widespread issue across the beef industry, and is something that Sysco is working to address properly. Norlyn Tipton oversees food safety initiatives for Sysco and tells Beef Magazine that all segments of the industry must work together to provide consumers with a higher level of satisfaction. He states, "You've got to be prepared to go back to the consumer and give that consumer an idea of what is happening and what isn't happening. You've got to be prepared with something—like a website or information program—that you can use to respond to the consumer when they ask what's going on – because perception is reality." To date, the company is currently re-launching its dairy steer program and has addressed consistency issues by providing strict guidelines regarding the weight of cuts of beef. Tipton adds, "[The food industry needs] to come together from a process control approach because it's going to be a big issue moving forward."
Sam Mustafa of Charleston responds in agreement to a uniform approach, "Charleston Hospitality Group is dedicated to offering a higher level of employee training for food process safety and consistency. Our proactive approach to sanitation education includes having all management staff attend food safety sanitation classes that are not required by the state. Our partnership with two of the highest food line distributors offers safety from a process control standpoint." Although, food safety regulations are currently in flux, Sam Mustafa hopes that all those within the foodservice industry make efforts to enhance customer satisfaction in terms of supplying and serving safe products.

James Mann: Stag Energy Responds to New Drilling Activity in Ohio

Three oil companies are reporting positive drilling results in Ohio, winning the attention of leading energy expert James Mann of Stag Energy.

Houston, TX -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/28/2012 -- For many Americans, oil drilling is something closely associated with certain geographic areas—such as Texas, perhaps, and along the Gulf Coast. According to a recent report from Bloomberg BusinessWeek, however, American oil companies are drilling in unexpected places, and finding some truly positive results. According to the article, three leading oil companies have reported positive outcomes from drilling in Ohio; the report has won the attention of many oil and gas experts, including James Mann of Stag Energy.

According to the BusinessWeek report, three leading companies have engaged in drilling activity in the eastern part of Ohio, particularly focusing on the Utica Shale. These three companies include Gulfport Energy Corp., Chesapeake Energy Corp., and Antero Resources Corp.; all three companies have reported positive results from their drilling in the area. Only one company, Devon Energy Corp., expressed disappointing results, but even Devon is "optimistic" about continued drilling efforts in the area.

These new findings have won the attention of James Mann, Operations Manager for Stag Energy. James Mann is a long-time oil and gas authority, and his company offers full-scale energy services, rendering a number of construction, maintenance, and equipment rental offerings to some of the biggest oil producers in the company. Stag Energy has responded to the recent reports from Ohio with a new statement to the press, hailing the positive news coming out of the Utica Shale region.

"New or increased drilling activity in any state is welcome news," remarks James Mann of Stag Energy, in his new statement to the press. "The people in Ohio should be extremely happy to hear about these positive production reports. This is a positive for both Ohio and for the United States' economy in general."

Mann's comments reflect very promising results from Gulfport Energy, which says in it most recent earnings report that one well in Ohio's Harrison County is producing as many as 430 barrels of oil and 1,880 barrels of natural gas liquids per day, when operating at its peak.

Chesapeake Energy, meanwhile, reports peak production of 205 barrels of oil and 150 barrels of natural gas liquid per day. The Oklahoma-based company has leased 1.3 million acres of Ohio land, all for the purpose of tapping into these shale oil and gas reserves.

James Mann's company, Stag Energy, is based in Texas. The company provides a comprehensive suite of services to some of the nation's leading energy suppliers, ranging from equipment rental to contract personnel.

Federico Garza-Bueron Reveals the Investment Strategies of the Very Wealthy

A recent Fox Business article comments on the ways in which wealthy individuals tend to invest their money—drawing the attention of financial professional Federico Garza-Bueron.

New York, NY -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/28/2012 -- There is an old saying that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer—and in 21st Century America, at least the first half of that statement is true. A recent Fox Business report reveals new statistics from the Congressional Budget Office, indicating that the wealthiest Americans have actually grown a lot wealthier in the past few decades. The CBO reports that the real income of the wealthiest 1 percent of the population increased by an astonishing 275 percent between 1979 and 2007; for middle-class Americans, the increase has only been roughly 40 percent. The article and its findings have won the attention of Federico Garza-Bueron, a New York-based financial professional.

Federico Garza-Bueron has responded to the new statistics with a statement to the press, offering insight into why these economic trends exist. "One of the big factors is that wealthy Americans have access to a greater variety of investment opportunities," he says. "When you reach a certain income level, you are technically considered an accredited investor, which means you can access hedge funds and other potentially lucrative opportunities. In other words, the wealthy actually have more tools at their disposal for increasing their own wealth."

The financial professional goes on to say that it is not just a matter of opportunity that separates the 1 percent from everyone else. "In many ways, these wealthiest of Americans understand some of the fundamentals of investment better than the rest of us do," Federico Garza-Bueron confirms. "It may sound silly, but it is true: They invest differently, and they invest better."

Risk is one area in which Federico Garza-Bueron says the wealthy invest more prudently. "When you are in the 1 percent, you are less zealous about seeing your portfolio explode overnight, and more willing to see slow and steady, consistent growth," he explains. "Less wealthy investors often take on much more risk—frankly, much more than they should. This is especially true when there is some hot new stock commodity, like Facebook was not so long ago. Investors put all of their eggs into one basket and risk too much on a single stock."

Federico Garza-Bueron says that diversification is a related concept. "The wealthy understand how effective diversification can be in helping to manage risk," he explains.

Ultimately, Federico Garza-Bueron says the wealthy get wealthier, in many cases, because they are smarter investors. "Seeing how the wealthy become wealthy, and how they continually grow their wealth, can provide the rest of us with some sound investment strategies," says the financial professional.

Fergus Cleaver of Cleaver Richards: Accounting Services Can Help Small Businesses Avoid Big Taxes

One of the worst fates to befall a small business is an unexpected tax burden—which is why experts like Fergus Cleaver are advising small business owners to enlist the help of personal tax services.

Auckland, New Zealand -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/28/2012 -- There are many obstacles that can prevent a small business from growing or from reaching its full potential, but few are as daunting—or as difficult—as unexpected tax burdens. Whether a small business finds itself facing a painful and inconvenient audit, or is simply paying more than it needs to, tax-related issues can truly prove detrimental to an up-and-coming company. For this reason, more and more tax experts are recommending that small business owners not try to do their taxes completely alone, but rather that they enlist a professional tax service. Fergus Cleaver, one of New Zealand's leading small business accountants, has issued a new press statement, explaining why companies should seek help from a professional tax preparer or accountant.

Cleaver's press statement comes as a response to the Sydney Morning Herald's column on small business taxes, which notes that, while tax preparation can prove daunting to anyone, taxes are especially complicated for small businesses. As such, the article says, small business owners tend to have "a tough time understanding tax law" when they try to do it on their own.

The article also notes that, while some tax services offer free initial consultations, which might set a small business owner down the right path, this preliminary advisement is typically not enough. "You get what you pay for," the article says.

Fergus Cleaver, in his new press statement, agrees. "Poor tax planning can leave small businesses with huge, unexpected tax burdens," says the small business accountant. "All too often an overdrawn current account is ignored until such time where tax must be paid on it."

The accountant is convinced that a professional accounting service can help business owners avoid these unwanted consequences. "Come and see someone in our office to make sure you don't go down the wrong path," Cleaver admonishes.

Fergus Cleaver also notes that tax advisement is not just necessary during tax season, but even during the routine financial planning stages of small business development. "When structuring your business, it is important to consider your end goal," says Fergus Cleaver. "That is, to take a holistic view of how you envision your business to be in five to ten years time. You need to get the architecture right from the outset to ensure a robust tax efficient structure is in place from the very beginning, which allows the organization to grow."

Cleaver is an accountant based in Auckland, New Zealand, focusing his services on the needs of small business owners. He currently acts as Senior Accountant for the Cleaver Richards firm.

James Carlino Police Chief Weighs in on Airport Bomb Scare

San Antonio’s airport has been reopened after an alarming bomb scare—prompting comment from law enforcement expert James Carlino, Police Chief in Sarasota.

Sarasota, FL -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/24/2012 -- Many American travelers have grown accustomed to the security procedures that have been put into place since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. While removing shoes and waiting in security checkpoint lines can often seem like a nuisance, most passengers agree that it is a price worth paying to ensure airport and airline security. Every now and then, however, something happens that proves how elusive full security can actually be. A prime example is a recent bomb scare, which took place in San Antonio International Airport. The airport is reopened following a full evacuation, while James Carlino, Police Chief and nationally known airport security expert, has issued a press statement with his own thoughts on the matter.

According to San Antonio International Airport spokesman Rich Johnson, the incident began when the airport's security team received a "very specific" threat, with no further elaboration. The threat was precise enough that the security team had all incoming planes parked far away from the terminal. Additionally, passengers inside the terminal were herded into the tarmac. The evacuation lasted for roughly an hour and a half, in total.

The incident was serious enough that it warranted the attention not only of San Antonio International Airport security personnel, but also of local law enforcement officers. Several federal agencies were also involved with the investigation of the bomb threat, which was eventually determined to be a false alarm.

It is the involvement of the local police that has merited the attention of James Carlino, Police Chief and airport security expert in Sarasota. Carlino has worked for years as a security expert at some of the busiest airports in the country—and in a new press statement, he says the seemingly extreme response to the bomb scare was absolutely the right course of action.

"All threats like this are taken very seriously," says Police Chief James Carlino, in his press statement. He goes on to praise the efforts of the security team in San Antonio, and also notes that preparedness for bomb scares—or bomb realities—it a vital matter for public safety. "A fast response and excellent advance planning, as in this situation, are what it takes to keep the flying public safe," Carlino affirms.

Naturally, the incident resulted in some minor inconveniences for airport passengers, including a couple of cancelled flights and some slight delays. According to security experts like James Carlino, however, these inconveniences are minor when compared with the severity of a possible bomb, or even a bomb scare, inside an international airport.

James Carlino is a Chief of Police and public safety expert with more than two decades of experience in fire response, EMS, and airport law enforcement. He has commanded security teams in some of the nation's busiest airports, and has received extensive training with the United States Air Force. Carlino currently lives and works in Sarasota, Florida, where he remains a vocal champion and advocate of the key role that local law enforcement plays in maintaining rigorous airport security.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

PR Authority
Email: Click to Email PR Authority
Web: http://jamescarlinopolicechief.com/

Hotline America Reviews New Mortgage Protection Guidelines

The Federal Reserve has proposed significant changes to existing mortgage laws—prompting a response from companies like Hotline America.

Marlton, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/24/2012 -- Ever since the banking crisis that began in 2007, federal lawmakers have pursued various avenues for protecting consumers while reinvigorating the economy. According to Bloomberg BusinessWeek, multiple federal agencies have united around a proposal that could offer greater accountability for mortgage loans. The Federal Reserve, along with five additional regulatory agencies, have unveiled a proposal for new appraisal requirements, affecting high-risk mortgage loans and complying with the Dodd-Frank Act. The Fed is actively seeking comments and opinions about the new proposals—and they have already received feedback from major companies like Hotline America.

According to BusinessWeek, the proposed rule would require banks and mortgage lenders to employ trained and certified appraisers, who would prepare written reports based on a physical inspection of the property. The federal regulatory agencies have also proposed the requirement of creditors to disclose the purpose of the appraisal to loan applicants, and also to furnish them with free copies of the report once it is complete.

The Dodd-Frank Act categorizes mortgage loans as higher-risk if they are backed by the borrower's home and maintain interest rates that exceed a certain level. The Federal Reserve has made a public request for feedback on its proposal, and Hotline America has obliged, with a new statement to the press. As a leading player in the real estate industry, Hotline America reviews new developments in mortgage law on a regular basis.

"Full lender disclosure to consumers is absolutely in the best interest of the mortgage marketplace," says Hotline America CEO Thomas Ingram, in the company's press statement. "Emphasizing to the borrower all details of the mortgage, loan servicing components, and insurance requirements just makes good business sense."

A Hotline America reviews the proposal, it concludes with a note of optimism about what it might mean for the entire industry. "This will go a long way towards improving consumer confidence in this key component of the real estate industry," says Ingram.

The proposed changes are sponsored by the Federal Reserve alongside the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Federal Housing Finance Agency, National Credit Union Administration, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Joel Bernheim: International Case Brings Attention to Father's Rights, Child Custody

Despite Hague Convention guidelines on international child custody, one U.S. Army sergeant is fighting for custody of his daughter in a U.S. Supreme Court case. Father’s rights expert, Joel Bernheim explains how critical the Court’s decision will be.

Chicago, IL -- (ReleaseWire) -- 08/22/2012 -- Although every divorce usually comes with complications, the decision to end a marriage can become even more complex when it involves partners who live in different countries. Under the regulations set forth by the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, it is recognized that in terms of child custody, the parent who lives in the "habitual residence" of the child is typically granted full custody. However, father's right advocate Joel Bernheim, notes that many cases involving international divorce and child custody stem from child rearing arrangements that happen as a result of a parent's military involvement.

According to a recent Reuter's article, such is the case of U.S. Army sergeant Jeffrey Chafin who left his daughter in care of his ex-wife, Lynne Chafin, in Scotland while he served his term. As with many divorces, the details of the Chafin's marriage were complicated. Their daughter has lived with Lynne Chafin overseas in Scotland since 2007. However, in 2010, they returned to Jeffrey Chafin's home in Alabama in a failed attempt to save their relationship. Given those circumstances, "U.S. District Judge Inge Prytz Johnson in Huntsville, Alabama, ruled in October 2011 that the daughter be returned to Scotland, calling it her 'habitual residence'." Now, the case has been approved for review by the U.S. Supreme Court, with a decision expected in the upcoming term, which ends in June 2013.

Relating the case to domestic child custody situations, Joel Bernheim explains how sensitive the Chafin v. Chafin case is. Joel Bernheim states, "In matters where custody cases cross borders, it is even more imperative that the judicial system get it right. The U.S. judicial system is not even on the same page from State to State, so it is easy to comprehend how this child can be caught in the maelstrom that is custody battles in the modern era."

The case was approved after Jeffrey Chafin and his attorney presented that the previous decision was "at odds with other federal appeals courts and would effectively deny custodial rights to a parent of a child wrongfully abducted to another country." For these reasons, Joel Bernheim hopes that the U.S. Supreme Court will take the matter under careful consideration. Although Bernheim has been a key player in the recent father's rights movement, he states that what is most paramount of these critical decisions is how it will impact the child. He agrees with sentiments expressed in the article that Chafin's daughter should not be subjected to constant transitions between both countries in an ongoing custody dispute, and that the decision should reflect those viewpoints.
In addition to his outspoken activism and philanthropy, Bernheim also works within the asset receivables management industry.
