Kentucky Author Publishes New Murder Mystery Novel

Louisville, KY -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/14/2015 -- Books, Authors and Artists (BAA) is announcing the official release of the latest novel by Kentucky-based author Marc Hirsch. Hard Case will be available on Amazon.com and CreateSpace.com as of Wednesday, 15 July 2015.

Independent publisher BAA is releasing the newest murder-mystery Hard Case on the 15th, the second book in the Alice White, Investigator series written by Marc Hirsch. The novel is just over 60,000 words and will be released both as a 5" X 8" paperback and a Kindle ebook.

Marc Hirsch, the author, says, "I am excited about the release of Hard Case. The story takes place during the 1950s, in New York City. Hard Case focuses on the violent changeover from "Tammany Hall-type" Irish underworld domination to the Italian Mafia. This transition provides serious character-development background for the main protagonist, Alice White.

I grew up there and I have done my best to recreate the period and locations of my childhood. I hope readers enjoy it."

The story takes place a year after The Case, the novel that started the series. Hard Case is set in 1950s New York City, primarily in the Port of New York and New Jersey. It follows Alice White, an outspoken legal assistant and investigator, attempting to unveil the machinations of a dangerous dockworkers' boss, while protecting her client, a U.S. customs agent.

A cover reveal and a review tour are taking place to help promote the new release, both organized by Lola's Blog Tour. Readers also have the chance to win free Kindle copies of both The Case and Hard Case during the cover reveal. You can visit her website for more details.
Storyteller, C. Evenfall is working with Lola to get the most from this tour by providing Kindle copies of The Wraith of Carter's Mill as giveaways. Unlike traditional virtual book tours, Lola's review opportunity focuses on obtaining honest, quality reviews from discerning book bloggers.

Astrid Gay, the book publicist for Books, Authors and Artists, says, "Virtual book tours have been a great tool in the past for publicizing debuting authors. However, this tour is different. Lola is focusing on each tour host publishing a well-considered, thorough review of The Wraith of Carter's Mill."

Potential readers will be given the chance of winning a Kindle ebook of The Wraith of Carter's Mill at each tour stop. The initial host is Lola herself at http://lolasreviews.com where Lola will be raffling a signed, paperback copy.

C. Evenfall says, "I chose Lola's Blog Tours because her review opportunity offered precisely what we needed, honest, raw reviews for my novel. I am delighted with her responsiveness and her earnest anticipation of my needs as an author. I heartily recommend Lola's Blog Tours to all authors."

The Wraith of Carter's Mill is a compilation of four novellas, intertwining elements of the paranormal and suspense genres.
Each of the first three novellas: Sensitives, The Guardians, and The Forgotten, are available separately on Amazon. The fourth novella, Carter's Mill, is only available in The Wraith of Carter's Mill.

Author C. Evenfall Promotes New Paperback Through Two Virtual Book Tours

Louisville, KY -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/20/2015 -- C. Evenfall, the author of paranormal series The Wraith of Carter's Mill, has announced that she would promote the release of the paperback anthology by touring the virtual world.

Evenfall is booked for two virtual book tours: one with Lola's Tours, and a second with Reading Addiction. The tours are scheduled for May and dates will be announced closer to the launches. Each tour will feature reviews by the tour hosts.

Books, Authors, and Artists (BAA) has recently published the anthology of The Wraith of Carter's Mill series as a paperback. The book contains the three original novellas (Sensitives, The Guardians, and The Forgotten) and a fourth, previously unpublished, novella titled Carter's Mill. Only in the anthology did the author include pages from the Carter Family bible along with author/character interviews.

The paranormal series follows several generations of the Carter women after their family was cursed. One after the other, they must face the curse to protect themselves and their loved ones.

C. Evenfall says, "Reviews are one of the best tools to let potential readers know if a book is worth it or not. And it's always great to get involved with readers. Book tours might not sell a great deal of books, but it allows authors to get out there and meet their readers. Readers then have a chance to turn into real fans."
The Wraith of Carter's Mill (ISBN: 918-1503205093) is now available as a paperback and a Kindle ebook

New Edition of the Case Receives Five-Star from Readers' Favorite Reviewers

Louisville, KY -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/23/2015 -- Marc Hirsch's second edition of The Case has received two five-star reviews from Readers' Favorite reviewers. The author self-published The Case in 2012 and was disappointed with the results. Marc signed with small press publisher, Books, Authors and Artists (BAA) whose staff proofed, edited, and created a different cover.

Two different reviewers for Readers' Favorite looked at The Case, 2nd edition: Emily-Jane Hills Orford and Jack Magnus. Both members awarded the book five stars, the highest rating available on Readers' Favorite.

Ms. Hills Orford commented in her review that The Case was "a simple, yet complex story with a plot full of multiple twists and turns," while Mr. Magnus summarized it as a "hard-boiled detective mystery."

The second edition of the crime novel was published by Books, Authors and Artists after the independent publisher signed Marc Hirsch as one of their authors. BAA is also marketing the rights to the screen adaption.

The Case is the first of a series of novels featuring Alice White, an investigator for a New York City law firm who is studying to become a lawyer herself. In this introductory book, Alice must unearth the truth behind the apparent accidental death of a doctor before she becomes the victim of an unfortunate accident herself.

Kef Hollenbach, owner of BAA, says, "Our beta-readers unanimously said The Case had a real spirit of detective fiction typical of the 1950s, and Marc's style was very cinematic. However, it needed a good amount of polishing. After months of work, we are extraordinarily proud to publish the second edition of The Case – a Nancy Drew-like mystery for adults."

"The strong response from reviewers raised our opinion even more. The second edition is being submitted to several award contests."

The Case is available to buy as a Kindle ebook and a paperback on Amazon.
