BestCreditRepairCompanys.com Launches New Criteria Update

Over 100 companies on BestCreditRepairCompanys.com were updated with criteria change

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/13/2015 -- BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) recently updated its criteria to better reflect the credit repair industry as a whole. The BCRC review team wanted to help clarify certain criteria points to better serve consumers.

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com first launched in 2013 and has been an important source for consumers to learn about the credit repair industry. This criteria update will help distinguish the good credit repair companies from the bad ones.

"BCRC has been around for a few years and is constantly being tweaked to provide consumers the most accurate information," BCRC PR Director Kate Ward said. "This criteria update is just one way to keep BCRC current for consumers."

The criteria update includes the eliminating of certain points and redistributing weight to points to help differentiate between companies. Companies are now ranked on the following criteria:

-Price
-Time in Business
-Licensed Attorneys on Staff
-BBB Rating
-Guarantees/Warranties
-Credit Reports
-Case Set-up
-User Reviews
-Expert Score

These criteria points help to create a more effective way of rating credit repair companies. One of the most important factors customers look for in credit repair companies is low monthly prices. BCRC's updated criteria puts more weight on pricing.

The BCRC review team also added weight to case set-up, which includes free consultation and updates on your credit scores. The BCRC review team felt these were important factors for customers to pay attention to.

Real user reviews can also play a big factor in a company's score. The BCRC review team believes user reviews can help other potential customers decisions in regards to credit repair companies.

"Our ultimate goal is to help consumers make more informed choices when it comes to credit repair companies," Ward said. "We believe their opinions should be taken into account when ranking companies."

The top recommended BCRC companies include Lexington Law, CreditRepair.com, The Credit People and Sky Blue Credit Repair.

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com believes in creating honest and accurate reviews of credit repair companies to help customers make informed decisions.

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com Releases New Survey About Important Factors in Credit Repair Companies

A new survey highlights factors potential customers look for in credit repair companies

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/14/2015 -- BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) released a new survey about the most important factors potential clients look for in credit repair companies. The BCRC team released this survey to get a better understanding of potential credit repair clients and their needs.

"What's important to customers, is important to us," BCRC PR Director Kate Ward said. "We want to make sure we are listening to customers' concerns when it comes to credit repair companies."

The survey asked the question to 1,000 participants: "What is the most important factor you look for when signing up with a credit repair company?" The answers to the survey and their relative percentages are as follows:

Low Monthly Prices-25.9 percent
BBB Grade-25.5 percent
Fast Results-21.9 percent
Number of Negative Reviews-16.3 percent
Licensed Attorneys on Staff-10.3 percent

The top two responses were low monthly prices and BBB grade, with a difference of less than one percent. The results are almost too close to call to decide which response is the clear favorite.

The survey highlights the two most important, even interchangeable, responses. Price is an important factor for those looking for credit repair services. Potential customers want budget-friendly fees in order for them to sign up for a company's services. Low monthly prices are necessary in order to attract more customers.

The other top response, BBB grade, shows that customers are concerned about a high BBB rating. They are more likely to choose with a high BBB grade as opposed to one with a lower rating.

Many credit repair companies can take advantage of customers and a higher BBB could indicate a more trustworthy company. It's clear that potential customers are concerned with a company's BBB rating when it comes to credit repair companies.

"The BCRC review team wants to help customers find the best credit repair company for them," Ward said. "This survey provides new insight for the team and the site as a whole."

Consumers Will Rely Less on Their Credit Cards This Holiday Season

A new survey explains why less people will be using their credit cards for purchases

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/18/2014 -- With the holiday season in full swing, BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) wanted to get a better understanding how of consumers will be spending their money. Specifically, the BCRC team hoped to better understand consumer spending in regards to their credit cards.

"Expenses can run high during the holiday season," Kate Ward, BestCreditRepairCompanys.com PR Manager said. "We wanted to better grasp how or if consumers will use their credit cards."

The survey, created by the BCRC team, asked "How do you plan on using your credit card this holiday season?"

The following presents the answers with their relative percentages:

A.I will not use it at all- 47.5 percent
B.I will use it on some purchases-27.4 percent
C.I will use it on all purchases-18.9 percent
D.I will use it only on big purchases-6.2 percent

The majority answer, with 47.5 percent, said they would not use their credit card at all during the holiday season. The next closest answer consumers chose, at 27.4 percent, said they would use their credit cards on some purchases.

The BCRC team was surprised by the majority answer. The holiday season is notorious for consumer spending. There are major expenses associated with this time of year including travel, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and multiple holidays which fall into this period.

"This data was quite a surprise to our team." Ward said. "We were expecting that the majority of the consumers would use their credit cards on at least some purchases, instead of not at all."

Some consumers may have their finances in order and don't feel the need to use credit cards as much. Or they may be in a financial bind and only want to purchase items they can pay off immediately, instead of putting it on their credit.

Those consumers that plan to use credit cards for some purchases may simply have a different financial strategy than others. They could have the means to purchase without credit cards, but want to them to build up a good credit score. Or they could be spending beyond their means and be getting themselves into a financial disaster.

Another interesting insight regarding the majority response was the income of those who chose that answer. People earning $25-49K annually chose "I will not use it at all" more than those earning $50-74k annually. Out of the 47.5 percent, 53.3 percent earn $25-49K annually.

The BCRC team is interested to see the effects of this survey at the beginning of the New Year when the bills are coming in. The strategies of those using credits cards versus those not using credit cards will become clearer.

Recent Survey Results Shock BCRC Experts

A recent survey reveals that almost half of consumers aren’t checking their credit reports.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/22/2014 -- BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) is an industry leading review website, known for their thorough research into credit repair companies. Their experts were interested in how many consumers took the time to check their credit reports. They distributed a survey to hundreds of consumers, and received back these shocking results:

How often do you check your credit report?
A) Never – 47 percent
B) Once a year – 25 percent
C) Once a month – 16 percent
D) Semi-annually – 12 percent

47 percent of the consumers surveyed never check their credit reports and only 12 percent check their reports semi-annually. BCRC was disappointed with this news because there is still a growing amount of consumers that are struggling with credit repair.

"Although I was expecting to see these types of results, it is a little concerning to see that there are still so many consumers that do not pull their credit reports at all." said the BCRC website manager, Carlie McKeon.

BCRC has a team of experts who are constantly researching the best credit repair companies and practices for consumers. As their experts looked more into the results of this survey, they found some interesting facts when comparing demographics.

While comparing results of the surveyed consumers by geography, they found their most significant statistic. Of those consumers who never check their credit reports, 58.4 percent reside in the Northeast of the US and 39.4 percent live in the Midwest.

Experts found a couple more intriguing points in their comparison by age. 18.3 percent of the consumers who check their credit reports semi-annually, which is the most correct answer, were between the ages of 55-64. The 18.3 percent were the highest percentage of consumers with that response. However, that same age group made up 52 percent of the consumers who never check their credit reports.

Consumers may be hesitant to pull their credit reports often because they do not want to hurt their credit. But consumers actually qualify for one free credit report from each major credit bureau a year. These three free credit reports a year will have no effect on a consumer's credit score.

Why Is It So Hard to Obtain a Loan

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com surveyed consumers from across the U.S. to find out why they had trouble obtaining a home or car loan.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/22/2014 -- Money is tight for most Americans and obtaining a loan at a reasonable rate is becoming increasingly difficult.

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) surveyed over 1,000 American consumers to find out exactly why they are having a hard time obtaining a home or car loan.

"There are thousands of Americans who would like to be home or car owners, but need a loan to make those dreams a reality," Carlie McKeon, BCRC PR Director, said. "Unfortunately, many consumers are finding that it is nearly impossible to obtain a loan, and even when they do qualify, the interest rates are astronomical."

BCRC wanted to find out exactly what is holding America's consumers from getting these loans.

The most common response amongst consumers was a low credit score. According to the BCRC survey, 42.4% of Americans said that their credit scores were too low and disqualified them from getting a loan.

Following a low credit score, the second most common response was that consumers did not meet the basic requirements to qualify for a loan. Roughly 27.8% of American consumers said that the loan requirements kept them from qualifying.

"It is not surprising that most consumers said that their low credit score was the main contributing factor as to why they could not qualify for a home or car loan," McKeon stated. "There are ways to help improve that score, but it will take time. As for not meeting requirements, a good credit score should help with that."

Another 16.7% said that too many negative items on their credit report was the reason they did not qualify for a home/car loan while 13.1% said that they had defaulted on their last loan.

"Credit bureaus make mistakes, which means some of those negative items on your credit report could be an error," McKeon explained. "There are ways to repair your credit and get some of those items removed."

The Mystery Behind the Credit Repair Industry

Credit repair services have existed for decades, yet there is still confusion amongst consumers as to what these services actually entail.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/21/2014 -- Despite having been around for decades, there are still common misconceptions regarding what credit repair services actually do. There are hundreds of different credit repair services, but consumers still do not completely understand what a credit repair company provides to their clients.

Credit repair is a service where credit consultants identify erroneous items on a client's credit report and dispute those items with the credit bureaus to fix those mistakes. When these negative items have been removed, the clients' credit scores will likely increase. Most people in need of credit repair are those working on applying for a loan or other financial assistance.

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) conducted their own survey and found that a majority of responders believe that a credit repair company reduces or settles debt. Only 32.1% of consumers polled across the United States actually understood what a credit repair service does.

"Debt settlement and credit repair are two totally different industries, but since they are both financial assistance type of services, there is confusion," Carlie McKeon, BCRC PR Director. "Only a third of responders understood the credit repair process, which means there is an opportunity for a credit repair service to step it up and educate the masses.

Another 13.6% of responders believe that credit repair companies exist to help their clients apply for a loan. While credit repair companies can help their clients improve their credit scores by removing erroneous, negative items from a credit report and improving credit scores, they do not actually assist in the loan application process.

Another 9.3% of consumers thought that credit repair services assist in filing for bankruptcy while another 7.4% of consumers believed that credit repair helps clients apply for a credit card.

"The credit repair industry needs to be doing a better job with helping consumers understand what their service entails," McKeon stated. "If only 32.1% of responders actually know what a credit repair company does, then there is still a large portion of the population unaware that there is help available to them."

Government Shutdown Leaves Consumers in the Dark

Due to the government shutdown, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is now closed. This means there is no government organization looking out for the consumer. Fortunately, there is still a way for consumers to be protected from scams thanks to industry leading review sites.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/03/2013 -- Fraudulent companies exist. There are "businesses" out there that will take someone's money and run. It was market equality and shady business practices that ultimately led to the development of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which exists to protect the consumer. Now that the government has shutdown, the FTC has also had to close their doors since they are a federal entity.

Despite not having the FTC as a consumer protector, there is still an industry leading resource potential customers can use to ensure they are doing business with a credible company as it pertains to credit repair. The credit repair industry has cleaned up over the past few years, in part due to the FTC, but there are still scams out there and consumers need to know who they can turn to for help.

BestCreditRepairCompanies.com (BCRC) provides objective and trustworthy reviews for consumers looking to hire a credit repair agency. Even though the FTC is not in effect right now, BCRC is available to assist customers with all of their credit repair needs.

"We specialize in credit repair and we know the industry inside and out," Jane Kingsley, BCRC Director of Reviews, said. "Even though there isn't a government organization keeping an eye on credit repair companies right now, we are always watching them and monitoring their services. Consumers can find a dependable credit repair company without the help of the FTC because we are here to assist them in all of their credit repair endeavors."

BCRC provides consumers with expert analysis of how each credit repair company runs and operates. In addition to expert analysis, BCRC also supplies consumers with real customer reviews. These reviews are from people who were real customers of a particular credit repair company. By combining expert and consumer reviews, BCRC is able to relay the information necessary for someone looking to enlist the help of credit repair services.

"It isn't enough to just have experts telling consumers why a particular credit repair company is good or bad," Kingsley explained. "It is also not enough to only show consumer reviews because they may have had an exceptional or negative experience with a company that does not represent the overall service. By combining the two sets of reviews to create a company profile, consumers can get a realistic idea of how a particular credit repair company does business.

Consumers do not need to be afraid of asking for help from a credit repair company just because the FTC is not in operation right now. The reviews supplied on BCRC provide consumers with all they need to know when it comes to the credit repair industry.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Michael Bratton
Email: Click to Email Michael Bratton
Web: http://bestcreditrepaircompanys.com/

Credit Repair Review Site Analyzes on National and Local Level

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com is a review site that looks into credit repair companies. The expert staff is now honing in on the national and local service provided by credit repair companies.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/26/2013 -- BestCreditRepairCompanys.com (BCRC) is an industry leading review site that provides objective and trustworthy reviews of credit repair companies. Just like most other industries, there are both large companies that service on a national level as well as smaller agencies that generally target a more local customer base. The BCRC expert staff has adjusted reviews to reflect a credit repair company's ability to perform on a national or local platform.

"We understand that some of the credit repair companies that we have reviewed started up to help those that live in the area," Jane Kingsley, BCRC Director of Reviews, said. "We wanted to more accurately portray these companies and show customers that there are different benefits, as well as faults, that come with both national and local credit repair companies."

The expert staff at BCRC has found that some consumers prefer to conduct their credit repair business more locally, while others prefer larger companies that have the resources to service on a national level.

"There are pros and cons associated with both local and nationally based companies," Kingsley said. "Our job is not to say which is better. We want to provide the consumer with the information they need to make the best decision for whatever credit situation they are in."

Overall scores of the credit repair companies will be adjusted to reflect the type of service (local v. national) that a company is striving towards. Some consumers want to be able to meet in face-to-face with the person handling their credit repair, while others wish to have larger companies that generally have more resources to use on cases.

"We simply want to provide an in-depth look at a credit repair company and show consumers what they have to offer," Kingsley explained. "Our goal is to share all the information we can find about a company which includes what level they are servicing at, whether it be local or national."

BCRC continues to work to improve their reviews and make sure all information is up-do-date and accurate.

BCRC Helps Consumers Search Credit Repair by State

BestCreditRepairCompanys.com has updated their review site to include geo pages which identify credit repair companies in a specific state.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/18/2013 -- BestCreditRepairCompany.com (BCRC) has improved their website by including a feature that allows consumers to search credit repair companies by state. These "geo pages" will help consumers that are looking for a credit repair agency that is close to their residence. The BCRC expert staff has created a "U.S. Regions" page that will allow site visitors to find the credit repair companies in their state.

"Our credit repair experts have found an increasing number of people looking for credit repair services in the area they are living in," Jane Kingsley, BCRC Director of Reviews, said. "To assist in the consumers' search, we have decided to create geo pages for our credit repair profiles."

Customers do not necessarily need to enlist the services of a local credit repair company, but some find it reassuring to have the ability to go to the office and discuss the details of their credit in person. While most people conduct their credit repair efforts over the phone or via email, BCRC wants to accommodate all consumers, which includes those individuals who are more comfortable hiring a credit repair company that is located in their state.

"Location and availability are important to some consumers and we want to help them in any way we can," Kingsley expressed. "We are constantly working for way to improve our website to better serve the consumer."

Site visitors can find the "<a class="extlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" title="U.S. Regions" link" href="http://bestcreditrepaircompanys.com/u-s-regions/">U.S. Regions" link at the bottom of the BCRC home page. Once a visitor has clicked on the U.S. Regions page, they will be able to click on their desired state and find a list of the credit repair companies that are in that state. The credit repair companies will be listed in order from best to worst score. All companies are given a score based on the criterion developed by the BCRC expert credit repair review staff.

"We believe that breaking these pages down to a state level will ensure the easiest means of navigation," Kingsley explained. "The content on the geo pages can be easily consumed and will be beneficial to the customers looking for credit repair in their state.

The BCRC staff will continue to look for way to improve the overall consumer experience.
