Consumers Seek Good Credit Scores to Apply for Home or Auto Loans

New survey shows having a high credit score is important to apply for loans

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/20/2014 -- BestCreditRepairCompanys.com(BCRC) wanted to understand why a good credit score was important to consumers. The BCRC team released a survey to gage consumers' feelings about their credit.

"The credit repair industry can be confusing and intimidating," Kate Ward, BestCreditRepairCompanys.com Public Relations Director, said. "If we understand why they want better credit scores, we can help them achieve better scores with honest reviews of the best credit repair companies."

This survey uncovers what is important to consumers regarding their credit scores. The BCRC review team created this survey with hopes of better understanding consumers' views regarding why a good credit score was important to them.

The survey polled consumers and asked, "Why is having a good credit score important to you?"

The following show the survey responses with their relative percentages:

A.To apply for a home/auto loan-56.3 percent
B.To decrease insurance costs-17.8 percent
C.Employers may do a background check-14.3 percent
D.To apply for a credit card-11.6 percent

The majority of those surveyed overwhelmingly related to the home and auto loan efforts. The second most common response only earned 17.8 percent of the vote and was related to decreased insurance costs. This survey shows that consumers are interested in investing in their lives and working towards the next step.

One interesting insight regarding the majority response was the age group that showed the most interest in this category. People ranging in age from 25 to 34 years old were most interested in a good credit score to apply for a home or auto loan.

This is significant because it shows how people in that age group are focused on buying houses or cars. They are looking to make investments for their future and want good credit scores to help obtain a loan and receive lower interest rates.

"This survey brings up an interesting discovery regarding that younger age groups," Ward said. "It changes how we look at credit repair all together. The target audience and their wants is different than we initially expected."

The credit repair industry has the opportunity to use this information and reach out to those who are looking to buy a home or car. Specifically, they can target the age group 25 to 34. This survey provides insights about why people want to raise their credit scores.

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com Warns of Watching Your Credit Score in Response to Major Target Security Lapse.

Checking your credit score is an indicator of identity theft. BCSC recommends checking it often.

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/20/2013 -- In light of recent events, including the Target credit card security lapse, BestCreditScoreCompanys.com (BCSC) warns consumers of the importance of keeping an eye on their credit scores. Between November 27th and December 15th, 2013 up to 40 million credit card numbers were stolen from secure Target databases. Names, three-digit security codes, and expiration dates were also stolen by the hackers. According to Target spokesman Eric Hausman, they have no indication that pin numbers were exposed as well.

Credit scores and reports are indicators of whether someone's private information has been exposed or stolen. "Many people don't realize that most credit score providers also provide identity theft protection included in their services," stated Jill Thompson, Director of Reviews for BCSC, "Identity theft protection, daily credit score monitoring and secure internal data storage are all important features that a reliable credit score provider should offer. In fact, many identity theft protection companies also provide consumers with their credit scores and reports, in addition to identity protection."

US Department of Justice study data from June 2013 states that over 11.5 million individuals in the United States have their identity stolen each year. The same study indicates that the average amount lost per identity theft case is $4,930. (http://www.statisticbrain.com/identity-theft-fraud-statistics/) "Early detection helps reduce the amount consumers may lose and also decreases the amount of clean that needs to be done in the aftermath. We recommend enrolling in a credit score service that provided ID theft protection and gives you your credit scores," says Thompson.

Creditera Adds Additional Credit Score to Offering

Why Do Multiple Scores Matter?

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/09/2013 -- BestCreditScoreCompanys.com (BCSC) is a leading credit score review company online. The company is continually working to provide consumers with the most up-to-date information about all the companies in the credit reporting industry. Commitment to customers is key. That's why individual customer reviews are encouraged and published.

"Our goal is to give customers an accurate picture of exactly what they can expect from each company in the credit reporting industry," stated Kelly Edwards, Director of Reviews at BCSC. "We can't stand when companies break promises they've made to consumers. If we hear about it, we want to let the world know about it."

Recently, a top company on BCSC, and a customer favorite, has increased its credit score offering. Creditera (www.creditera.com) added a second score to their credit offering. In the past, only an Experian score was included when customers enrolled in Creditera services. TransUnion is now the second score customers will have access to when they enroll.

Changes like this are seen by BCSC as an excellent gesture on the part of Creditera. It shows they have a desire to provide continually improving services to their customers. A second score gives customers a broader view of their credit situation.

"Having all more credit scores can be of great benefit to consumers. It gives them a more rounded picture of what's happening with their credit. The more information a company can provide their customers, the better," says Edwards.

Independent surveys conducted by BCSC indicate that having more than one score may not be as much of a priority to consumers as initially indicated. The sentiment seems to be that one score is enough. This can be a potentially dangerous mentality. While having one score is a great start, having more than one score gives individuals a much larger safety net. In cases where an incident isn't reported to multiple credit bureaus, if consumers only have one score, they may be missing a big part of the picture.

"We're excited that Creditera has added to their already solid offering," says Edwards. "When a company is seemingly already doing well, and they make a clear gesture to improve their offering, it's a great sign that they are concerned about their customers. When businesses care about their customers, it gives them a much greater chance of rising to the top of our rankings."

If you're a business owner, Creditera also offers credit monitoring services for your company. Your personal scores aren't the only ones that need to be tracked. They offer multiple package options that allow you to protect yourself and your business.

Fresh Credit Score Company Reviews - Identity Guard Comes out on Top

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/12/2013 -- BestCreditScoreCompanies.com (BCSC) reviews and ranks every credit score reporting company in the industry. Companies are ranked based on a ten-point scale derived from unbiased criteria that can be found on the site. "Our goal is to help the cream site to the top, so to speak," reported BCSC PR Director, Michael Bratton. "The best companies with naturally rank higher than the companies that are not as helpful to consumers. We want individuals to know exactly who they are getting involved with when they decide to do business with a credit reporting company."

BCSC is continually updating their individual company reviews and rankings criteria and Identity Guard has once again come out as the highest rated company. Identity Guard offers a wide variety of services that fit customer needs very well. Core services for the company include identity theft protection and monitoring, credit score and report delivery and monitoring, and identity recuperation services. Some of their more unique services include lost wallet protection, free anti-virus software and password protection software. For more information please view the BCSC Identity Guard Review.

"Identity Guard continues to prove their ability to provide customers with excellent service. Are they perfect? No, but they are a good example of what a credit reporting company should provide. Affordable price and reliable service. Customers consistently give Identity Guard good ratings," mentioned Bratton.

Recent credit review criteria updates included: the addition of mobile friendly tools and a slight reduction in the importance of providing all three credit scores and reports. Companies that provide mobile friendly tools prove that they are forward thinking and willing to make things easier for customers. The huge increase in mobile usage means that more people will want, and in some cases need, to check their credit and identity information on their phones. Businesses that offer apps or mobile friendly websites show that they are willing to provide customers with more positive experiences.

Independent survey data collected by BCSC indicates that users are not as demanding about having all three scores as has previously been stated. Of the people that check their credit score, 44% check one of their scores and 45% check all three scores. While BCSC still believes it is safest and most effective for consumers to check all three of their credit scores and reports, they also have the obligation to balance that with consumer preferences.

Bratton stated, "The recent changes to the ranking criteria continue to help consumers find the companies that will give them the best user experience. Ranking criteria evaluations are a very important part of what we do at BestCreditScoreCompanys.com. We are constantly striving to provide individuals with the best, and most helpful, information available about credit reporting companies."

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com Now Provides Information on the Credit Repair Industry

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com is a Top Review and Resource Website for Credit Score Companies and is Expanding Its Resources to Credit Repair

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/27/2013 -- BestCreditScoreCompanys.com (BCSC) has focused its main effort on teaching consumers about credit score, and is now providing resources for credit repair. BCSC is adding credit repair into their current material by providing direction to the best credit repair companies, latest blogs and recognized experts in the credit repair industry.

"Several customers realize their credit score isn't where they want it to be and don't have the time or knowledge to improve it. We have the answer for those customers," Kelly Edwards, Senior Finance Editor said. "We wanted to give our consumers direction in finding the most reliable and credible information to obtaining high credit score and a 100 percent accurate credit report."

Consumers can now get access to credit repair material on BCSC. All of the information is automatically directed to BestCreditRepairCompanys.com where there are more than 115 credit repair companies reviewed with an extensive resource center and active blog. Also, approximately 900 real customers needed credit repair and left reviews on the company profile they signed up for.

"Customers go to a credit score company to get their credit score," Jane Kingsley, BestCreditRepairCompanys.com's Directors of Reviews said. "Customers who want a better credit score go to a credit repair company, and we can tell you what companies can actually do that."

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com is always providing tips and resources to improve credit on your own, but for the customers who don't want to do it on their own have the option through credit repair. Credit experts recommend that consumers track their credit score by signing up with a credit score company after they fix any inaccuracies on a credit report with a credit repair company. Edwards said credit repair and credit score companies go hand-in-hand.

"If a consumer chooses the route of credit repair, it's important that they go back to a credit score company to maintain the credit score they are happy with," Edwards said. "Credit score companies offer features like credit monitoring and updated scores and reports that most credit repair companies don't offer.

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com researches all of the credit score companies in the industry to differentiate the reliable companies from the fraudulent companies. BCSC ranks all companies using their 10-point Criteria and encourages real customers to review companies they have worked with. Their website also frequently publishes new blogs and resources to keep their visitors up to date on the latest credit news.

Leading Review Site for Credit Score Companies Adds One-of-a-Kind Feature

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com Helps Consumers Distinguish What Services are Included as a Trial Member Versus a Paid Member

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/27/2013 -- BestCreditScoreCompanys.com (BCSC) added a "Trial vs. Full Service" comparison chart to each credit score company. At the top of each review consumers can use the comparison chart to compare the specific products customers are allowed access to during a company's trial period versus as a full-paid member.

"BCSC is the first review site to display the Trial vs. Full Service feature," Senior Finance Editor Kelly Edwards said. "Consumers assume that they receive full access to all features in their trial period, which is not true for all credit score companies. We actually inform those customers which companies do all full access and which companies only allow a few features in the trial period."

Currently, forty one percent of credit score companies do not offer the same full-service features in their trial period. Consumers are led to believe they can have the company's full experience in their trial period where in fact they are only allowed to access two or three features.

"Companies are deceiving their customers and say they're offering 'free trials' when customers aren't really able to access the things they want and need," Edwards said. "Other review sites don't include any type of information regarding inside-access, after signup to their consumers and in such an easy-to-understand format, BCSC does."

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com wants to reveal all hidden information so consumers can make the best decision.

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com reviews all credit score companies in the industry rather than only the top companies. BCSC also takes the time to breakdown the calculation of the overall score for their consumers where other review sites do not. On top of that, BestCreditScoreCompanys.com sets itself apart by letting real customers leave reviews on the companies they signed up with.

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com researches all credit score companies to show the true top companies in the industry. With credit score experts and real customer reviews, BCSC stands out among all other review sites. Company scores, blogs, articles and statistics are always changing because BCSC strives to keep user informed on the most current information.

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com is a Review Website that Finally Announced How They Created their Industry Standard 10-point Criteria

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/12/2013 -- BestCreditScoreCompanys.com (BCSC) recently published a blog on their website unveiling how the BCSC team created their prestigious 10-point Criteria. This Criteria is used to score all credit score companies and rank them from the most reliable and credible to the least. BCSC's 10-point Criteria has proven to be positively altering the credit score industry.

"Creating our 10-point Criteria took months because we wanted to hold these credit score companies to a higher standard," Kelly Edwards, Senior Finance Editor said. "Once we felt the Criteria was as perfect as it could be, we wanted to share our process with consumers so they are confident that BCSC built it to find the best credit score companies."

The blog titled "How We Made the 10-point Criteria" walks through one of the BCSC team members' perspective of the step-by-step process. It explained how it wasn't simply put together. The Criteria had:

- Easy factors that would automatically be included
- Revised factors that needed a new/altered requirement
- Added, important factors that took months to discover
- Reductions of weight to some factors

The BCSC team member stated that it took months of discussing, analyzing and researching to get the Criteria to its most-perfect state.

The blog goes on to explain how the Criteria was made for both the consumer and the credit score industry. The purpose of the Criteria was to let consumers know what they most need in a credit score company. It helps guide them into knowing what features are "fluff" and what features they actually need. On the other hand, the Criteria was made for the credit score companies because the BCSC team wanted them to know that they need to reconsider what they're doing and include the most important credit score services.

"We felt that the BCSC team needed to be open with the consumers and industry on how we created the 10-point Criteria; it wasn't thrown together overnight," Edwards said. "The Criteria was well thought out and strategically calculated to make sure that the best credit score companies would shine above the credit score companies wanting to take the consumers' money."

BestCreditScoreCompanys.com reviews and ranks all credit score companies against each other in the industry. They research everything from their package details to amount of consumer complaints and lawsuits, and then scores them according to their 10-point Criteria. BestCreditScoreCompanys.com includes companies that provide services for both consumer and commercial use. Their website encourages users to also leave reviews on credit score companies they have interacted with.
