Sea Visions Glass Expands Offerings in Both Works and Retail Locations

Sea Visions Glass Products May Soon Be Obtained in a Few Stores

Glen Burnie, MD -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/07/2013 -- Sea Visions Glass, in preparation for the upcoming holidays, continues to create new and exciting sea glass and sea pottery jewelry items. Expect to see a varied selection of pendants, necklaces and earrings created from sea glass obtained in Maryland, California, Hawaii and England along with new sea pottery pieces. Thanks to the popularity of these items, Vermont retailers have now elected to sell Ms. Kelly's pieces in their stores.

"I'm very excited about this year's collection and hope consumers will be also as Custom Jewelry Design using sea glass or sea pottery makes the perfect gift, especially when the glass or pottery is picked up during a special vacation get-away. When one is unable to find what they are looking for, all they have to do is ask and I'll work to create a custom piece that meets the customer's needs in every way" Catherine Kelly, Sea Visions Glass designer and creator, states.

In addition to creating sea glass and sea pottery jewelry items, Ms. Kelly plans to launch a new line of unique and beautiful handmade beaded sea glass wind chimes. These wind chimes will be featured in the company's Etsy jewelry shop in mid to late October.

"Plan on purchasing one or more authentic sea glass wind chimes for those on your Christmas list as each can be made in custom colors to reflect the personality of the recipient. I'm thrilled with the way these wind chimes have turned out and hope my customers love them as much as I do. One thing I love about this business is how much my work has changed as my skills have progressed. Now my focus tends to stay on creating pieces which most would describe as simple elegance, " Kelly continues.

To ensure customers can find these items with ease, Sea Glass Visions partnered with two shops in Vermont to offer the sea glass jewelry and gifts in retail locations beginning in November. Hunter Lea Gallery and Gift Shop in Ludlow and Liquid Art Coffee Shop and Gallery in Killington plan to offer these items beginning in November and other stores may follow suit.

"The beauty and glamour of sea glass and sea pottery jewelry items continues to attract many new customers and I'm thrilled to be able to share my work in new ways right before the holiday shopping season. Whether one is in the market for jewelry or the new wind chimes, the customer can rest assured knowing I have put my heart and soul into the creation of each piece as I love what I do. Creating items made from sea glass is something I enjoy immensely and I look forward to working every day," Kelly declares.

Designer Cathy Kelly to Display Unique Beach Inspired Art at Craft Fair

Sea Glass Jewelry and Artwork Among Items for Sale

Glen Burnie, MD -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/07/2013 -- Designer Cathy Kelly will be offering her sea glass artwork for sale at the St. Philip Neri Fall Craft Fair, on October 19. The event, scheduled to be held at 6401 Orchard Road, Linthicum, MD, runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. In addition to Kelly's sea glass jewelry and artwork, the fair plans to host about 130 other crafters, offering handmade items. These include seasonal items, country designs, wood crafts, quilting, dried floral arrangements, and more. Shoppers can also enjoy food and drink.

Kelly's offerings will include one-of-a-kind jewelry and art made from sea glass. She will include finished jewelry and art, but will also take custom jewelry orders. In addition to displaying her wares at the St. Philip Neri Fall Craft Fair, Kelly is currently getting ready for a busy holiday season. She states, "I have been creating lots of beautiful sea glass and sea pottery jewelry, pendants and necklaces, earrings, bracelets and anklets. I have around 125 pieces completed and about 40 near completion, most waiting for necklaces. I am also trying to add...new types of sea glass crafts."

Speaking about the reason that she creates from nature, Kelly explains, "I believe there is not only merit in a perfectly tumbled and frosted piece of sea glass, but also in a remnant of a bottle, or an insulator, or a lovely piece of china or pottery. These things have real history behind them and are what I call sea glass "artifacts". I believe they make the most unique jewelry pieces."

The designer uses many types of sea glass and beach artifacts to craft unique jewelry and artwork. She will create designs with her own sea glass, or use her customers' materials. Kelly focuses on high-quality results, stating, "I am a perfectionist and am a real stickler when it comes to the quality of my creations, so it takes me longer to create jewelry and crafts than it takes other people. I would rather produce fewer, better quality items." The designer is the owner of Sea Glass Visions, a business dedicated to providing authentic sea glass pottery and jewelry. Her creations are crafted from glass found locally, and in Hawaii, Seaham Beach, England, and California.

"I love creating sea glass jewelry and art. Actually, I think that the two are the same, some may not. Sea glass can be incorporated not only into jewelry but into all types of art.", states Kelly. She is able to produce artwork from sea glass in dozens of colors and textures. Examples of her work are displayed at http://www.etsy.com/shop/SeaGlassVisions. Kelly also documents the creative process and provides information about her work at her site, seaglassvisions.com.
