Memorial Day weekend will likely see large crowds as the Air & Sea Show returns to Miami Beach. The two-day event is set to feature extreme water sports, motocross stunts, and a military display village.

During Earth Week 2021, Jenna Efrein, who is a senior lecturer at the University of Miami, has begun collecting plastic bottles for a community art installation designed to mirror the experience that sea life under the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in the North Pacific Ocean has. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a collection of marine debris that is mainly composed of plastic.
