Göteborg, Sweden -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/21/2014 -- Religion can often be the most polarizing topic, but author Jakob Stahle has taken the issue head one on a new book and current crowdfunding campaign aimed at bringing the book to market. Stahle's project is called "Nutty Bible Quotes" and in a humorous and sometimes irreverent way, he highlights some of the more confusing and out of the mainstream quotes from the Bible. "My goal is to amuse, enlighten and get people to think and talk about the actual content in the world's most influential book," Stahle said when he unveiled the crowdfunding campaign for the book on February 6, 2014.

Stahle comes to the topic from the perspective of a former devout Christian who was very active in his church. Over time, however, he began to take a more critical look at the passages in the Bible and was stunned to find that many in his opinion made little sense and some were downright "nutty." Stahle currently works as a magician/entertainer and uses the skills he has picked up in that profession to write with a disarming sense of humor that he hopes will cause even religious people to accept his book and take a more critical view of the many quirky passages in the Bible.

When finished, the book will have a soft cover and be 128 pages if 50 nutty Bible quotes. What makes the book stand out and grab the reader's attention are the fun and entertaining illustrations that accompany the quotes and that bring out the nuttiness of the quotes in vivid detail for the reader to easily understand. Stahle is planning to publish the book in both English and Swedish.

In order to finish the book, Stahle has turned to a crowdfunding campaign. This effort began on February 6, 2014 and runs through March 7, 2014. Stahle anticipates that he will need to raise roughly $9,000 in order to finish the book and so far he is about one third of the way towards that goal. Contributors can donate from as little as $1 to make this religious book from a dream into a reality and give people a greater understanding of religion all around the world. Donators have a variety of funding options to choose from all the way up to $1,500. Each contribution level comes with certain perks with the highest contributors receiving producer credit in the book and a signed copy from Stahle.
