      <description><![CDATA[<div class="newsleft"><div class="newsbody"><p>Paramus, NJ -- (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.sbwire.com/">SBWIRE</a>) -- 06/04/2015 --  The Educational Partnership for Instructing Children (EPIC) is pleased to announce the appointment of esteemed autism expert Peter Gerhardt, Ed.D., as Executive Director. The EPIC School, located in Paramus, provides educational services to individuals 3 to 21 years of age with autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Gerhardt assumed his new role at EPIC as of June 1.<br />

Dr. Gerhardt has more than 30 years of experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in support of individuals with autism spectrum disorders in educational, employment, residential and community-based settings. Internationally respected, he has authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters on the needs of those with ASD. Dr. Gerhardt is the current chairman of the Scientific Council for the Organization for Autism Research and serves on the professional advisory boards of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies, the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, and the Autism Society of America. He received his doctorate from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey&apos;s Graduate School of Education.<br />
