Scott Tucker Announces Children's Science Camp

Physics teacher Scott Tucker will begin registration for his summer science camp this month. Our Family Fun Night gives a behind the scenes walk-through of the program with the creator himself.

Redmond, WA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/08/2015 -- Our Family Fun Night, the website for hot tips on new family activities, announced in a recent article that registration will be open in June for Scott Tucker's science camp. Open to ages four to fourteen, this is the first time Tucker has run an event of this size. The camp beings the second week in July and runs for six concurrent weeks.

"To have someone of Tucker's talent running the show for something like this is a real treat for all the kids involved," says Holly Bickers, editor of Our Family Fun Night. "His teaching is always fun and entertaining, but not only that, it is honest. He can relate to his audience whether it be a group, large or small, or one to one and that is something hard to find in today's world."

The camp will feature different topics each week including but not limited to: bugs and insects, air and wind, water works, and light propulsion. Children are encouraged to bring their own ideas to the camp as well. During the last week some of the ideas will be chosen to be the weekly theme. Kids will come away from the camp with supplemental materials and exclusive access to Tucker's website with tons of games and educational content.

"This kind of thing is why I became a teacher in the first place," says Tucker. "I can truly connect with some interested kids and hopefully they can take it from there. The website will take over where the camp leaves off, and ideally keep interest going until next years camp comes back around."

Tucker's science camp starts the second week in July with registration currently open. Limited spots are available.

Small Business Owner Scott Tucker Organizes River Cleanup

Scott Tucker, entrepreneur and owner of Tucker’s Auto Parts has announced the third annual Delaware River cleanup. Our Family Fun Night speaks with Tucker about the past two years and what the plan is this year.

Dover, DE -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/05/2015 -- The latest article of Our Family Fun Night's 'Outstanding Outdoors' series focuses on Scott Tucker and his river clean up project. This will be the third consecutive year of the event with more than double the previous record for volunteers signed up.

"This years cleanup should prove both an educational and active event for the whole family," says Roland Forge, senior editor of Our Family Fun Night. "There will be breaks for games and swimming as well, so there is no reason to not bring the kids. The turnout is looking to be the largest yet and we will have a man on the ground to cover all the details."

The event will take place at the beginning of next month and will cover up to five miles of cleanup. Attendants are encouraged to chose their cleanup preference during registration that will best fit with their age group. Activities will include trash pickup, water clean up, and some minor landscaping. All volunteers doing water cleanup must be over 18 years of age or be with an adult at all times.

"This event has grown progressively each year, and it doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon," says Tucker. "My goal with this project is to eventually have it at several sites along the river either at different times or the same day if we get enough volunteers. Judging by the interest so far, we might have it up and running as soon as next year."

The river cleanup will take place the first Saturday of next month with registration currently open.

Scott Tucker Hosts First Annual "Touch a Truck" for Families

Kids boutique clothing store owner Scott Tucker will host a “Touch A Truck” event this spring. Families are invited to bring children to the event for hands-on play. Our Family Fun Night will feature the event.

Seattle, WA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/27/2015 -- The site that brings families actively together, Our Family Fun Night, will feature Scott Tucker's "Touch A Truck" event. The event, scheduled for early May, will bring large vehicles to the community and make them available for hands-on play. Parents and children will be able to touch, feel, climb, and pose for photos with the vehicles.

"This is going to be so much fun for the kids, and for the parents who are kids at heart," says Malia Parker, editor for Our Family Fun Night. "If you've ever seen a toddler look at a tractor or a big rig, you'll know how much they want to climb and feel and just experience these big trucks."

The event will take place in the parking lot of Tucker's kids boutique clothing store. The boutique has already managed to secure a dozen large vehicles, including big rig cabs, farming and construction equipment, and even a vintage fire engine from the Fire Department. Kids will be encouraged to climb and play on the vehicles, under the strict supervision of their parents.

"The idea for 'Touch A Truck' came to me when I noticed by six year old eyeballing the backhoe that our neighbors were using for their driveway construction," says Kit Carlton, manager of Tucker's store. "She asked if it was okay for her to take a photo in the backhoe, and they let us. It made her day."

Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and the Scott Tucker kids boutique will be having a 30% off sale. Donations will be taken for the Fire Department and several children's charities. Our Family Fun Night will share video of "Touch A Truck," as well as a profile on Carlton, who put together the event.
There will be no excuse to keep the kids home from this event, it's just going to be a great way to cool off."

How to Make Breakfast is an instructional yet fun guidebook from AMG Services. The book will help children with learning measurements, nutritional concepts, and basic cooking skills required for traditional North American breakfast dishes.
"This has been a long term project that is finally coming to fruition," says Tucker. "It's always been my dream to serve children and help them learn in a way they can really understand and love."

Parents will also have the option of being engaged with a series of classes available to adults. They will cover all aspects of development concerning the younger child both physical and educational.

Tucker's playground entitled 'Kidz Place' will open to the public early this spring. Our Family Fun Night will host a preview article in February.

Scott Tucker Speaks on Tree Preservation

Environmentalist Scott Tucker will speak at Georgetown Nature Preserve later this year concerning tree preservation at the local and global levels. Our Family Fun Night to host exclusive interview footage and early registration.

Sacramento, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/23/2015 -- Our Family Fun Night will feature environmental speaker Scott Tucker. The fourth annual Environment Day at Georgetown Nature Preserve will welcome several speakers, have hands-on projects for children, and give guided tours of the preserve. Scott Tucker will present his latest findings about tree preservation and how individuals can be part of the conservation movement.

"I want to try and dispel the myth that trees have always been around so they always will," says Tucker. "We are at the beginning of a decline in forestry that I think could affect us on several levels. A lot of the stories from science fiction authors aren't that far-fetched to me anymore."

The event will have the capacity to hold 500 people, making it the largest scale event the preserve has had to date. Scott Tucker is expected to draw large numbers of people to the event.

"The event isn't for months yet and there are still people calling about it every day," says Winnie Tonking, project organizer for the preserve. "We were all excited when Tucker signed on for the event, but we didn't expect this. This will be a great opportunity to share what we are all about here and hopefully pass along some knowledge along the way."

Tucker will be taking a small break from his two month long lecture tour to attend the event. He will be available for questions throughout the event, also giving out copies of his latest newsletter.

Registration for the event will be available in person at the Georgetown Nature Preserve or by phone. Details, including expected donation, speakers, and schedules to be released by Our Family Fun Night and the preserve in February.

Scott Tucker Offers Orienteering Course

Our Family Fun Night will feature former Boy Scout leader Scott Tucker and his new classes in their upcoming article.

Sommerset, NJ -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/22/2015 -- Our Family Fun Night, the online leader in family entertainment, will be the first outlet to cover Scott Tucker's new orienteering course. The blog will have exclusive photos and interviews, as well as details on class registration. The course will begin in June.

"Both practical and fun, this is just the type of event our readership is looking for," says Hilary Swath, editor of Our Family Fun Night. "Scott Tucker is going to us not only how easy it is to start learning these skills, but also several ways to make it into a game for the whole family."

Tucker's new course will cover all the basics of using a map and compass. By the end of class participants will be able to navigate themselves out of a three mile wooded area unaided. Games and competitions will also be covered in detail throughout the class.

"I've been doing this a long time," says Tucker. "And it never gets old for me. New faces and new perspectives are what keep me going. Every class I teach is a culmination of everything I've learned in my life from the beginning to the last class I taught. So each time I can bring a little something more to the table."

The course will span a three month period and take place in two different parks to be announced upon final class registration. Our Family Fun Night will have exclusive access to Tucker and will publish details as summer approaches.

Scott Tucker Hosts Primal Cookout with Our Family Fun Night

Scott Tucker hosts the first annual Primal Cookout at his farm in North Carolina. Members of Our Family Fun Night will be present and the website will release details about the event.

Portland, OR -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/16/2014 -- Our Family Fun Night, an entertainment site focused on keeping families together and engaged, has announced details for Scott Tucker's Primal Cookout. The event will be open to the public with cover charge to be announced. Registration will be available via Our Family Fun Night.

"Health is always a priority when it comes to families, and we keep that in mind when choosing events for our readers," says Selma Vont of Our Family Fun Night. "The Primal Cookout at Tucker's farm embodies just that philosophy with all food either from on site or neighboring farms. This should set some parents at ease with the junk food normally available at family friendly events."

Games and raffles will be held throughout the day as well as live music from several local bands. Families are encouraged to register for both the event and any games at Our Family Fun Night to guarantee availability. Scott Tucker's Primal Cookout will be held the first Saturday in October from 10am through 9pm.

"This cookout is primal because it gets us back to basics: good veggies, healthy meats, and family togetherness," says Tucker.

Our Family Fun Night will cover the event live. The blog will also host a photo booth, face painting, and several "healthy kids" workshops.

Chef Scott Tucker Organizes Summer Youth Day Camp

The website Our Family Fun Night has announced that chef Scott Tucker will organize a summer day camp to keep kids active and occupied this summer.

Seattle, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/23/2014 -- The parenting website Our Family Fun Night has announced Scott Tucker's plans to help keep kids busy and active while parents work this summer. Chef Scott Tucker is in the midst of organizing a summer youth day camp which will allow children to stay active and give them something to do throughout the summer season. The website Our Family Fun Night has announced Scott Tuckers plans to help keep kids busy and active, while parents work.

"Days will be filled with games, sports, arts and crafts, trips, celebrations, and a talent show," said Tucker. "There will even be a "cooking class" to help teach kids who are interested in learning how to cook."

Registration ends in the beginning of July. All registrations and trip sign-ups will take place online. The fee is $185.00 plus trip costs. Children must be between 6 and 11 years of age at time of registration, and proof of age may be required. The 8-week camp will commence at the beginning of July and end on August 16."Days will be filled with games, sports, arts and crafts, trips, celebrations, and a talent show," said Tucker. "There will even be a "cooking class" to help teach kids who are interested in learning how to cook."

"This is a great idea," says Our Family Fun Night contributor Jeremy Potions. "Kids, when bored and unattended, might be stuck inside the house all summer or even worse get into trouble. A summer camp with Tucker's focus on cooking will keep kids active, teach them about healthy habits, and let their parents have peace of mind during the summer."

Tucker's summer day youth camp was formed to offer weekday summer adventures for children going into kindergarten through eighth grade. The day camp provides families with the security of knowing that their children are in a well-supervised, safe, caring, and nurturing setting, while being introduced to new experiences, having fun, making new friends and developing new skills

"The "learn to cook" part of the program will include cooking delicious and nutritious food as the kids make their own snacks and lunches using a daily secret ingredient," says Tucker. "This part of the camp will also focus on basic kitchen skills including safe knife handling, measuring, mixing, and sauteing. As an added bonus, kids will take a field trip to visit a downtown restaurant to see what happens behind the scenes in a professional kitchen."

About Scott Tucker
Scott Tucker has been cooking since the young age of six years old, and became a chef at the age of twenty-one. He has four restaurants, caters special events, and has written and published many cookbooks. Tucker focusses on making healthy homemade food, and has hosted many seminars teaching people how to eat right. Tucker thinks kids should learn kitchen basics at an early age, and the summer is the perfect time to start. Tucker plans to provide Summer youth day camp, annually, every summer.

AMG Services and Our Family Fun Night to Co-Host a Fun Night for Families

Family entertainment website Our Family Fun Night is collaborating with AMG Services to arrange an entertainment-filled family night for its subscribers.

Jackson Hole, WY -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/20/2014 -- AMG Services will arrange and co-host a family night-out in collaboration with its strategic partner OurFamilyFunNight.com, a website about family entertainment. The family night, named "OFF Night," will feature activities such as camping, cruises, and dinner.

"We wanted to involve our members on a more personal level by bringing them an unusual type of entertainment at a time when they most need it," said OFF Night's creator and project director Andrew McCarty "We decided to collaborate with AMG Services because of their local expertise in hosting events, and because we target similar market segments."

The two companies will be sharing the expenses, although the cost will be paid later on by the participating families. "We are hosting the night on a no profit, no loss basis, just to cement our goodwill," said McCarty.

The exact details of OFF Night are still being finalized, but it will include camping at La Jolla beach, cruising to a nearby island, dinner, and possibly, a live music performance. Families will have the option to join all or only some of the activities.

OFF Night will be promoted through a competition on OurFamilyFunNight.com as well as on electronic and digital media. The winners of the competition will be flown to San Diego from across America to enjoy free entertainment. Other families will be able to join for a fee.

"We are hoping to trigger a trend of immersive outdoor entertainment for families," said AMG Services' Kathy Fields. "In a world cluttered by LCDs and smartphones, it's important that we interact as families, at least once in a while," she added.
