Local Organization Fights for Survival

Many high value local programs at risk if the RC&D Council can’t keep its funding.

Mayfield, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/25/2011 -- The Pocono Northeast Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council, a non-profit organization committed to the preservation and protection of natural resources within a framework of economic growth, has put out an urgent call to its board members, partners, supporters and community beneficiaries to save the program from federal budget cuts that threaten to make it impossible for the organization to continue its work. RC&D provides a number of very valuable programs to residents of 10 counties in northeastern Pennsylvania.

"We have not done this in the past, but it is critical that we make a significant effort in getting our message out to the communities, citizens, and groups that have used our services and assistance," RC&D Council Chairperson Brian Oram said in a letter released earlier this week. "In 2010, we, Pocono Northeast RC&D Council, leveraged our support by over 403%! Our program is the most cost effective means of creating jobs, implementing change in the community, and making environmental improvements throughout the US."

The RC&D Program funding has been slated for zeroing out for FY 2012 and for the current continuing resolution for this year.

Currently there are two versions of the continuing resolution being considered: the House version has the RC&D Program zeroed out; the Senate version has $25 million allotted. The RC&D Program is currently funded at $52 million annually.

The RC&D Council has been responsible for many important programs over the year. Most recently, the Council launched a program to help residential well owners finance needed well repairs with funds borrowed at only 1% interest rate for up to 20 years. The Council is asking all interested parties to reach out to legislators about the program and request their support.
The training events will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the following dates and locations:

· March 14- Monroe County Conservation District, 8050 Running Valley Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360

Through the program, the RC&D Council will make loans available at 1% interest rate for up to 20 years. Loans cannot exceed $11,000 per household. Successful applications will be assessed an additional fee to cover loan closing costs. Eligible homeowners/households will be those located in a rural area and with a low to moderate income who need assistance with their private water well. Homeowners must reside in Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Pike, Schuylkill or Wayne county.
Catalizador Completes Acquisition of MortgageDashboard

Company focus shifts from brokers to mid-tier banks; Sauri becomes CIO.

Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/18/2010 -- Catalizador Private Equity Fund, a team of venture capitalists that includes Jim McMahan, Stewart Hunter and Bryan Harlan of Benchmark Mortgage and other significant Texas-based business partners, has announced the completed acquisition of MortgageDashboard™, a leading on-demand loan origination software system enabling paperless mortgage processing for lenders, credit unions and banks. Catalizador took control of MortgageDashboard last fall when the technology firm lost an important line of credit and was on the brink of insolvency.

MortgageDashboard was created to be a web based mortgage banking software solution for loan originators by Jorge Sauri almost a decade ago. The LOS was quickly adopted by brokers and net branch operators who were attracted to the affordable, SaaS product. At one point, the company was serving a user base of over 3,000 customers nationwide. When wholesale lending fell out of favor, the company began to shift its focus to mortgage banks, credit unions and community banks, but nearly ran out of time.

"We were attracted to MortgageDashboard when a group of private investors with significant mortgage industry backgrounds introduced us to the technology and called it the best completely online, web based loan origination software on the market," said Jim McMahan, managing partner of Catalizador. "Our fund looks to the future of the housing finance industry and this web based loan software is the way loans will be originated going forward."

Catalizador Private Equity Fund stepped in to recapitalize MortgageDashboard to allow it to continue operations and began the acquisition process. Now that it has been completed, MortgageDashboard has become one of the few mortgage technology firms operating today that has its flagship product in use as a mission critical application at the institution run by its primary investors.

Sauri has remained with the company he founded and is now the company's chief developer and chief information officer, where he continues to provide breakthroughs in innovation and works to simplify the technology required by mortgage brokers and bankers alike.

David Childers has been tapped as a primary strategist and the company's vice president of sales. He is a highly successful business development consultant with over 10 years experience working with mortgage brokers and bankers, assisting them with developing their businesses, creating winning strategies, and executing their visions to become successful organizations.

"We're seeing tremendous adoption in this market for three primary reasons," Childers said. "First, lenders appreciate the comprehensive audit trails we provide our customers, which allows them to remain in full compliance with all FDIC, GLB and Sarbanes Oxley requirements for data security and borrower privacy. Secondly, we maintain a SAS-70 secured environment monitored and controlled by an independent third party for the industry's best disaster recovery solution. Finally, our SaaS mortgage banking software puts our customer's data in a secure online environment that they can access anytime from anywhere. MortgageDashboard is the solution our customers are looking for now."

About Mortgage Dashboard
Since 2001, MortgageDashboard has been providing the leading Web-based, on-demand loan origination software solution built on the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Most experts agree that SaaS will continue to be the most efficient and valuable way for delivering software to the end user. MortgageDashboard was developed from the ground up to provide the most effective SaaS Mortgage banking software for marketing, originating, processing and closing loans from within all popular web browsers and most operating systems. With e-Briefcase, the completely paperless MortgageDashboard electronic document management system, you can greatly enhance your workflow and manage your business from anywhere the internet is available. With exceptional security and data protection, hundreds of seamlessly integrated third party vendors, as well as free, informative training and support, MortgageDashboard gives you the power to work with confidence.
Equi-Trax Launches Insurance Recovery Program

Servicers can recover property losses by tapping into existing P&C insurance policies.

Santa Barbara, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/24/2009 -- Equi-Trax Asset Solutions, LP, a national collateral valuation provider offering a line of hybrid valuation products delivered under a meticulous quality control process to bridge the gap between BPOs and full appraisals, has announced that it will offer an innovative new asset recovery program that can save servicers money they would otherwise spend to rehabilitate REO properties. The Asset Recovery Insurance Plan is offered in conjunction with the Law Firm of Jeffrey A. Miller and Associates, located in Burbank, CA, which focuses on residential and commercial insurance claims.

"Over one half of foreclosed properties are damaged by the former owners upon foreclosure and eviction," said Guy Taylor, Equi-Trax CEO. "This damage is often covered under an existing insurance policy but many servicers are not aware. Even when they are, it takes a lot of time and effort to file and manage the claims process."

According to Taylor, the average damage per property, on a nationwide basis, is $35,000 and generally relates to lost fixtures, damaged walls, lighting, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. A vital part of the claims process is having a good valuation on the property, which will be provided by Equi-Trax as a service to the Law Firm and Equi-Trax's mutual clients. The Law Firm will then use that information to secure the servicer's claim.

All fees for the service are based on the success of the program. There are no upfront fees for participation in the program. The Asset Recovery Insurance Plan is available to servicers nationwide.

About Equi-Trax
Equi-Trax Asset Solutions, LP, Santa Barbara, CA, is a national property valuation firm servicing the U.S. financial services industry. By leveraging AVM technology and the skills of certified appraisers licensed to serve the mortgage industry, Equi-Trax developed a new line of collateral valuation products that combined the best elements of BPOs, AVMs and desktop appraisals.
ADAPT Releases NPV Decisioning Engine for Streamlined Loan Modifications

--New tool empowers third parties to support servicers by structuring loan mods--

Ronkonkoma, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/02/2009 -- ADAPT Enterprise, LLC, provider of an on-demand software solution for loss mitigation specialists in every sector, has announced the release of ADAPT, a web-based NPV Decisioning Engine designed to empower mortgage brokers, attorneys, community-based organizations and others to support servicers by preparing loan modification packages that conform to the government's Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) guidelines automatically. ADAPT stands for Automated Decisioning Asset Performing Technologies.

The tool enables loss mitigation professionals to instantly determine the eligibility of a loan modification, based on HAMP guidelines. The system applies the base NPV calculations and defines the reduced rate, modified term, step-rate along with principal forbearance (if suggested), all in real-time. It then produces the package for the servicer's review.

"Servicers are overwhelmed with the volume of loan modifications they are receiving right now and can not deal with them because they are so busy dealing with borrowers who are closer to being foreclosed upon," said Tom Sato, President of ADAPT. "This tool will allow loss mitigation specialists to do the heavy lifting for mortgage loan servicers, providing them with deals that will meet HAMP guidelines, complete with the paperwork to move the deal through to closing. This is the solution the industry has been looking for."

ADAPT provides a secure pre-qualification application exchange, which is triggered by the end-user, enabling the homeowner to enter data in a secure web environment. The tool informs all parties that the homeowner is required to enroll into a HUD-approved housing counseling program automatically if it detects that the back-end DTI exceeds 55%. The system will automatically import the borrower's data into the Freddie Mac Loss Mitigation Transmittal Summary form as soon as it automatically confirms borrower eligibility.
