Session 8: October 12th - November 1st (PADI Exam Nov 2nd & 3rd)
Session 9: November 16th - December 6th (PADI Exam Dec 7th & 8th)

All professional Instructor training is entirely conducted by PADI Course Director Holly Macleod who offers a wealth of direct industry experience. Having taught professional PADI Courses and Programs for over 17 years in a variety of different global diving destinations including Honduras, Thailand, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and of course Indonesia; Holly has developed an Instructor training experience that goes well beyond the minimum curriculum laid out by PADI. Having issued well over 3000 Instructor level certifications in the Gili Islands alone combined with personal Industry experience; Holly knows firsthand what potential employers are looking for when recruiting new Instructors and conversely what new scuba diving instructors can expect from potential employers. The program has been continuously recognized through the PADI awards scheme and Holly has earned the Platinum PADI status and Elite 300 Instructor Award consecutively for 8 years.

For 2021 a number of minor changes are taking place with the program. The IDC will be conducted over 21 days and although some of the PADI IDC curriculum has shifted to an online portion, the program has been adjusted to accommodate. Some classroom sessions are replaced by elearning and Holly will conduct a review of these topics, applying them to previous personal experiences directly after candidates have participated online.

The Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) Course is conducted directly before candidates cover PADI Rescue Diver training to give candidates a more complete picture of emergency protocol. As a DAN Dive Medic Technician and a PADI Diving Emergency Medical Responder, Holly has added some potentially lifesaving components to the EFRI program. Additional components include the use of purpose made tourniquets to manage serious bleeding, the use of adjuncts to improve airway control and advanced resuscitation techniques including bag valve mask (BVM)/ resuscitation.

The IDC now stipulates that a deep dive scenario needs to be conducted; rather than just a simple discussion and explanation Holly has designed an experience based workshop scenario to highlight many of the misconceptions about continuing education. Candidates will conduct the entire deep dive scenario in a role play situation. Participants will include referral divers so candidates will need to screen, evaluate and assess the diver before the dive. The candidate will then need to consider a reasonable level of control to execute the required tasks whilst making the dive as interesting as possible.

Another unique workshop covers international standards, procedures and legislative regulation. This new component looks at standards from an industry perspective regardless of organisation. Covering the WRSTC (World Recreational Scuba Training Council) regulations and International ISO/EN/DIN globally recognised standards. Candidates will also focus on local legislative and governmental regulations where in some countries it is required to follow additional health and safety guidelines that apply to recreational diving.

Another fun workshop is organizing and planning training activities within certain parameters. Candidates will work in teams and are assigned a location and course or activity to conduct; then plan, organise and conduct the task under the local conditions and the constraints that apply. All are based on locations where PADI CD Holly has worked before and are designed to get participants to find solutions by discussing and working as a team to solve problems whilst having fun doing so.

For professional Divemaster's looking to go beyond the PADI IDC Curriculum and gain a standard of training considered to be way over and above that generally found, The PADI IDC Indonesia is a great way to do it. Candidates will develop the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to be highly successful teaching others to dive.

Session 9: November 16th - December 6th (PADI Exam Dec 7th & 8th)

All professional PADI Scuba Diving Instructor training is entirely conducted by Industry Leading Award Winning Multiple Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod, who has been teaching professional PADI programs for over 17 years in a range of different geographical diving destinations including Honduras, Thailand, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia. Holly has issued over 3000 PADI Instructor level certifications in the Gili Islands alone, and knows what the scuba diving industry is looking for when it comes to recruitment and what new scuba instructors can expect from potential employers. Holly has been consistently recognized through the PADI award schemes and has been awarded both the PADI Platinum status and the PADI Elite-300 Instructor status for the past 8 years consecutively.

Although the program is already considered one of the best training experiences available there are a number of additional components and schedule updates planned for 2021. The PADI IDC curriculum has changed to include an online portion which must be completed before certification. To ensure that candidates have fully absorbed the online portion, Holly will review the information and relate it to real life situations based on personal experience spanning nearly 2 decades as a professional diver. On the PADI IDC with Holly candidates have always participated in workshop based learning sessions, but for 2021 these have been streamlined, adjusted and increased.

There is also a new requirement within the PADI schedule for continuing education programs which can be conducted in a variety of ways. Holly has extended these workshops to full interactive scenario based activities. The deep dive scenario has been setup so that candidates will be required to run the entire activity from start to finish including diver assessments for referred students. Candidates will also practice teaching the entire rescue diver course including all required exercises both in the swimming pool and in the ocean.

Although not part of the PADI IDC syllabus Holly has also included a variety of mini workshops which are conducted in a group based environment designed to illustrate the benefits of solving problems as a team and increase organizational and logistical ability. Candidates are introduced to legislative and international standards outside of the requirements set by PADI Standards including ISO, EN, DIN and WRSTC (world recreational scuba training council) and how these apply in accordance to local legislative requirements. Another workshop requires candidates to plan and organize an activity, course or program in a prescribed location with specific characteristics. All are based on real life situations tried and tested by Holly over the years.

The PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course (IDC) now includes a variety of additional components taken directly from other Dive Medic training programs. Candidates practice the use of purpose made tourniquets for serious bleeding situations; airway adjuncts are introduced as a more efficient approach to managing airway control. Candidates will be exposed to advanced resuscitation techniques such as the use of a bag valve mask (BVM) resuscitation.

Becoming a scuba diving instructor with PADI Course Director Holly Macleod in the Gili Islands, Indonesia in 2021 is more than just ticking the boxes or making the grade. It's about developing one's self to teach others how to dive in a fun, educational and concise way. The PADI IDC Indonesia offers professional Divemasters the opportunity to really develop a career as a scuba diving educator and provides new scuba diving instructors with the necessary skills, knowledge and most of all confidence to be highly successful within the industry.

New Components to the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) in 2020/2021 in the Gili Islands

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/30/2020 -- Although the beginning of 2020 has seen some upheaval during the global virus pandemic, Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has now developed and fully embedded a range of new components into The PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) in the Gili Islands, Indonesia making it a perfect choice for people looking for a new career as a recreational scuba diving Instructor.

There are a number of new components added to the PADI IDC Program which include the adoption of the new PADI IDC Curriculum, increased focus on entry-level training, more focus on continuing education programs, and in particular Rescue Diver training programs, as well as first aid and emergency response. Another area which has seen vast change is environmental awareness and considerations such as embracing the neutrally buoyant philosophy and management of water movement and directional current changes.

The adoption of the new curriculum is an easy one as Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod was actually involved with the design and implementation of the new streamlined program; meaning that although it was only introduced early this year with the viewpoint of being adopted during 2020. It has actually been in place on the PADI IDC with Holly in the Gili Islands for over a year and has been further streamlined by Holly to provide the absolute best possible results for Instructor candidates taking professional instructor training.

There is also an increased focus on beginner and continuing education programs. On the PADI IDC with Holly Macleod candidates will now look more closely into entry-level discover scuba programs including advanced control and organization methods, dive site selection, and risk reduction with the aim of new instructors providing an unforgettable experience in the safest possible way with the minimum element of risk.

Continuing Education programs are not only discussed and dissected within a classroom environment but are now actually conducted during the program with candidates getting the chance to role-play deep dive scenarios. Now the entire PADI Rescue Diver course can be taught both in confined and in Open Water environments so as to get a full understanding of how to teach the full range of exercises and skills required to develop able and confident rescue divers.

Neutral Buoyancy has now been established within the PADI educational system and by now should be conducted throughout the range of courses offered, but they are still seeing many misconceptions about how to actually teach these skills in a neutral position and when to expect students to do the same. They have heard many instructors suggesting Fin Pivot, Mid Water or in a hovering position. Firstly, the student definitely needs to be in a horizontal position as this is the position everyone assumes for diving and hovering is only really a potential option during a safety stop. Although, one would usually still expect to stay horizontal during that safety stop. Mid water skills are ideal, however with multiple students could take up far too much room in an average swimming pool, and without multiple instructors would increase risk in confined open water so this course tends to favour the idea of the fin pivot format with the ideology that with 1 or 2 students mid water could be an option. Another misconception also seems to be that Instructors suggest they do all skills in neutral, which is great if achievable however it is fairly unrealistic to expect students to master neutral the first time they are underwater in scuba equipment, which is why we favour the practice of conducting confined dive one in the traditional way, concentrating on the basics such as breathing and getting familiar with the equipment and encouraging a neutral philosophy in dive two, whilst beginning dive two with buoyancy skills proving a more natural way of achieving neutral.

Other additions to the PADI IDC Gili Islands include more emphasis on First Aid and Emergency Response by introducing candidates to potentially time-saving and risk-reducing tools such as purpose-built tourniquets, advanced airbag type resuscitation tolls and airway management adjuncts.

One great thing about the Gili Islands is it variable diving conditions and this has been adopted into the program by visiting different sites and demonstrating the need to adopt prudent dive site selection methods for particular programs. For example, candidates will be led through the process of selecting a dive site for a discover scuba experience based on suitability in terms of depth, conditions and potential enjoyment followed by selecting a dive site for a deep scenario which requires a completely different criteria based on these characteristics. Another great thing is that entry-level skill teaching scenarios are conducted in variable directional current conditions providing instructor candidates with additional problem-solving experience when it comes to organising training within areas of current.

The PADI IDC Indonesia Program with Industry Leading PADI Course Director Holly Macleod takes place every month and provides professional Divemaster's with the opportunity to really develop the necessary skills and make a smooth transition into a new career teaching others to dive and keep diving.
Although Holly has issued over 462 certifications, the highest denomination award is the Elite 300 Award. The PADI Frequent Trainer Award is issued at Gold, Silver and Platinum Levels and is issued to PADI Course Directors based on primarily numbers of Instructor candidates, but also on succession of providing continuing Instructor education. Having certified nearly 100 Open Water Scuba Diving Instructors in 2019 and with many taking up PADI Speciality Instructor training Holly Macleod was awarded the Platinum PADI Course Director status award again.

The program itself takes place in the Gili Islands and offers a wealth of industry-based experience as Holly has not only worked as a PADI professional for over 17 years but has also worked in a range of different diving related jobs which have taken her to a variety of different global diving destinations. This has allowed the program to be a one-of-a-kind real experience-based professional training experience and, of course, having issued well over 3000 PADI Instructor level certifications means that Holly knows exactly what the recreational diving Industry is looking for in brand new scuba diving Instructors. And likewise, what new instructors can expect from the industry Itself.

PADI IDC Gili Islands Announces a Great Year with over 460 PADI Instructor Certifications in 2019

So, it’s been another great year for Industry Award Winning Multiple Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod having issued over 460 Instructor level certifications including OWSI, EFR, and a range of PADI Specialties. Also, a range of new things to come in 2020.

Gili Trawangan, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/14/2020 -- Although the Gili Islands have had a real reductions of visitors over the first two quarters of the year PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has still issued over 460 PADI Certifications and of course, this figure is inclusive of Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI), Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) and a range Specialty Instructors certifications including Deep, Enriched Air, Wreck, Oxygen Provider, Search and Recovery, Photography, Drift, Self-Reliant, Night, Shark, Dive Against Debris and Side mount.

As well as being a great place to train as a scuba diving instructor on the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC); the Gili Islands offer great conditions for Instructor Specialty training. All sites are situated close to shore and are accessed by short boat journeys to and from the beach in front of the dive shop. To complement the great underwater training conditions the PADI IDC is entirely conducted by Industry Leading Award-Winning Multiple Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod who has a wealth of industry experience spanning over 15 years and working in a variety of different diving destinations and within a range of different diving related jobs. The program takes place every month and offers World Class training facilities at the only ever PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) to have been established in Gili Trawangan. Although the PADI Professional IDC Instructor training has always been continuously updated and fine-tuned to provide the absolute highest possible standard of training, there are plenty of new additions and revisions to the program in 2020.

First of all, the new PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) curriculum is officially unveiled by PADI and of course, Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has already run a number of these new revised IDC curriculums during the PADI sanctioned beta testing phase in the second half of last year. So having already streamlined and fine-tuned the new curriculum on the PADI IDC here in the Gili Islands with Holly Macleod, candidates can expect to get the absolute highest possible standard of professional Instructor level training and a range of purposely designed experience-based workshops based on both new PADI IDC requirements, professional instructor feedback as well as Holly's personal experience teaching the full range of PADI courses and programs. The schedule has also been revised to include a range of additional workshops based around an increased focus on Rescue Diver training and continuing education programs such as the Deep Adventure Diver and Specialty programs.

Along with the new PADI IDC Curriculum, there is also the need for PADI Staff Instructors, Master Instructors, and PADI Course Directors to update. There has already been a number of scheduled Regional PADI IDC Update Seminars, but for those that were unable to attend Holly Macleod will be running the PADI IDC Curriculum Update Program during 2020 which is a requirement for those working within PADI Instructor training. Another course newly developed is the PADI IDC Instructor trainer Internship Programs allowing seasoned PADI Scuba Diving Instructors to take full advantage of not only taking the PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course but to join on subsequent Instructor Programs mastering Instructor training delivery and allowing staff Instructors to actually assist in developing new Instructors.

Another new addition is an increased focus in First Aid. Having recently qualified as a DAN Diver Medical Technician and a PADI EFR approved Diving Emergency Medical Responder (DEMR) Distinctive Specialty Instructor, Holly plans to firstly improve the current PADI Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) Course over and above that required by the EFRI syllabus and also to offer the brand new PADI EFR approved Diving Emergency Medical Responder (DEMR) Specialty Course.

PADI Course Director Holly Macleod Introduces the New PADI Dive Medic to the Gili IDC Curriculum

Industry Award Winning Multiple Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod having already certified 100’s of scuba diving Instructors every year and consequently 100’s of Emergency First Response Instructors (EFRI) now introduces the PADI EFR approved Diving Emergency Medical Responder (DEMR) Specialty Course.

Gili Trawangan, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/14/2020 -- This brand new PADI EFR Distinctive Specialty is a great addition to diver skills for any rescue diver or above and according to a statement on The Diver Medic website: 'The purpose of the EFR approved Diving Emergency Medical Responder (DEMR) Specialty Course is to provide the knowledge and skills that are necessary for an emergency to help reduce pain, sustain life and minimize the consequences of an injury or sudden illness. The course is to teach students to be prepared, confident and armed with the knowledge to take control and deal with virtually any non-diving and diving-based medical or traumatic emergency. This is the next level up from first aid training.' Topics that will be covered during the new DEMR Course include familiar subjects such as decompression illness, oxygen toxicity, and ear injuries, and also less well-known subjects such as PFO (hole in the heart) and IPO (immersion pulmonary oedema), a condition which is not well understood, yet thought to be responsible for a number of serious diving-related incidents.

Having recently certified as a DAN Diver Medical Technician and a PADI EFR approved Diving Emergency Medical Responder (DEMR) Distinctive Specialty Instructor Industry Leading Multiple Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod plans to not only improve the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) Course by including some important issues currently not covered by the syllabus but also plans to offer the PADI EFR Diving Emergency Medical Responder (DEMR) Distinctive Specialty to Rescue Divers and above.

The great thing is that 2020 sees a brand new PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) curriculum issued by PADI Worldwide which is aimed to introduce the general philosophy of thinking like an Instructor whilst focusing on a more practical approach to instructor training particularly when it comes to continuing education programs such as Adventures in Diving, Advanced Diver and Rescue Diver training.

So, all in all, 2020 will be a fantastic year providing all round a more streamlined, up to date and improved Instructor level training and coupled with a more extensive focus on providing up to date and more extensive First Aid training will for sure see an overall higher standard of professional Instructors leaving the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with PADI Course Director Holly Macleod and consequently an overall higher standard of divers generally trained by those Instructors.

If you're a professional diver looking to take the next step and become a professional Scuba Diving Instructor you really are in the right place to gain a training experience which is already considered to be at a level way over and above that generally found within the industry. There will be 10 opportunities to take the PADI IDC Indonesia Program during 2020 and the PADI IDC Gili Islands schedule is now available.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/23/2019 -- First of all, it is most important that current PADI IDC Staff Instructors understand that its not just a simple case of sitting through, following and joining a Revised PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and that an actual update will be required before actually getting involved in the new Revised Program.

There are actually two options for Staff Instructors to update. The first is to attend a live PADI Instructor Development Update. The second option is to attend a Course Director conducted update.

As a highly experience Multiple Award Winning Industry Leading Platinum rated PADI Course Director; Holly Macleod has already put together the prospective PADI IDC Revision Update and will be starting to run the program from January 2020. Having already tried and tested the new Revised Curriculum during 2019, Holly can provide some valuable insight into specific methods and techniques of delivering the revised curriculum whilst meeting all of the required objectives and performance requirements laid out within this exciting new course in a fun, safe and educational way.

To join the PADI IDC Staff Instructor update with Holly candidates must be renewed and in teaching status, and must have purchased all of the revised PADI IDC material. Holly can then conduct the required update and complete, sign and submit the Update Agreement and Statement of Understanding.

During the update program, IDC Staff Instructors are required to cover a number of topics in detail which include an Introduction to the Revised IDC Curriculum, the Standards and Curriculum Overview, using the new materials, a Knowledge Development Evaluation Training Workshop and a Confined and Open Water Evaluation Training Workshop. As Holly has already conducted the Revised PADI IDC a number of times there is also the possibility of looking into scheduling, sequencing, planning and organising training segments and discussing proved, experience-based methods and techniques that have been already successfully implemented.

PADI IDC Gili Islands with Holly Macleod Introduces New Environmental Considerations

Teaching in Neutral buoyancy has been an important consideration for some time now, but it’s really the “When, Where and How” that’s applied that counts.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/23/2019 -- As a highly experienced Platinum PADI Course Director with over 20 years diving experience from a variety of different global diving destinations and a variety of environment types, Holly Macleod is also now a private dive Industry consultant and has recently been addressing not only the use of neutral buoyancy within training, but the dynamics of how to apply it.

So, although Confined Water Skills need to be conducted in a Swimming Pool or Swimming pool like conditions in Confined Open Water and will never take place over fragile marine life, a philosophy of a Neutrally Buoyant body position should still be adopted. However, it's also necessary to consider the fundamental principals of making this efficient, fun and educationally beneficial. For example during confined dive number one, there are no buoyancy specific skills to be evaluated and therefore incorporating a requirement for students to assume a neutral position could prove to be unproductive in terms of time efficiency and student development during this particular dive and it may be a more appropriate idea to introduce it during confined dive two; once the neutral buoyancy skill has already been mastered by the diver. However, if an Instructor feels it is potentially viable to introduce a neutral position in confined dive 1 and students are able to accommodate it, then it also may be a beneficial idea.

So, the philosophy for teaching Confined Dive number 2 would be to introduce the one specified Neutral Buoyancy Skill early in the dive and from this point onwards introduce a general overall neutral body position philosophy for the remainder of the session. Also, if time permits the instructor could introduce a mini dive at the end of confined dive number 2. One important thing to note is that there is only one required neutral buoyancy skill to be conducted on dive two so expectations cannot be too high in regards to a neutral body position and the corresponding mentality towards it, however combined with a small mini dive at the end of the session should pave the way for an overall improved student mentality towards personal development during confined dives 3,4 and 5 creating a overall improved body position during the confined dive 5 mini dive portion and ultimately preparing students to a higher pre Open Water standard.

Of course, this philosophy will then not only be encouraged during the open water portion of the course but will become an ultimate goal of both Instructors and students to develop and perfect buoyancy skill and create great general diving skills and an ingrained environmental awareness. This philosophy has now been incorporated into all aspects of the PADI Curriculum throughout the range of PADI Programs and Courses and is fully integrated into professional Instructor training with Holly Macleod and has now been completely absorbed in the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) with the ultimate goal of creating better divers by creating better educators.

The PADI IDC Gili Islands with Holly takes place every month at the only ever 5 Star PADI IDC Career Development Center (CDC) and offers professional diver the opportunity to make the perfect start in a professional career "teaching the world to dive" and teaching them "to do it well". All this being said the course has become one of the most popular professional Instructor training options available and can be also seen on the PADI IDC Gili TripAdvisor Page.

Industry Award Winning Platinum PADI CD Holly Macleod Introduces the Anatomy of "Neutral Body Positions" on the PADI IDC Gili Islands

Neutral Buoyancy has been the focus of dive training for some time now, but with over 20 years of diving and as an Independent Dive Training Consultant, Industry Recognized Multiple Award-Winning Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod can now dissect this philosophy to provide suggested methods of implementation.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/23/2019 -- Having beginner divers perform skills in a neutrally buoyancy body position right from the start of the course could possibly prove to be impractical and inefficient as this is the first time that students have been underwater so the general advice would be to only encourage a neutral body position where students show willingness and the exercise appears to be feasible within the current environment. The same would also be said with the use of the Mini Dive and maybe not an ideal idea during dive 1 unless the students are demonstrating an overall good body position and the tasks appears feasible.

Confined Dive 2 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course requires students to perform 1 neutral buoyancy exercise and therefore is a great point at which to encourage students to attempt to assume the position throughout this skill practice session. A possible suggestion would be to move these skills as far forward into the dive as possible and if feasible conduct a mini dive at the end of confined dive 2. After confined dive number 2 Instructors can then strongly encourage student divers to perform all skills in a neutral body position throughout confined dives 3 and 4 ultimately preparing the student diver to exhibit perfect buoyancy by the time they conduct the Dive 5 Mini Dive and in turn preparing for an environmentally aware start to the open water portion of the PADI Open Water Diver Course. Another suggestion can be to combine Peak Performance Buoyancy requirements into the PADI Open Water Diver Course further strengthening environmental awareness mentalities.

This philosophy is not just limited to beginner level training but can be adopted throughout the curriculum and there are many suggestions relating to continuing education students as well as referral students. Advanced Courses should really start with the Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive allowing students to build upon there previously learned skills and prepare them for the rest of the PADI Advanced Diver Course, ultimately continuing their dive education in a more safe and enjoyable manner allowing students to concentrate on specialist areas of the program without having to constantly worry about personal general diving skills and the surrounding marine environment.

These specific environmental applications are now fully incorporated into the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) and are aimed at providing new Scuba Diving Instructors with the knowledge and mentality to go on and ultimately train new divers to the highest possible standard. The PADI IDC Gili Islands Program attracts professional divers from around the world and as seen on the Gili IDC Indonesia Reviews the program can now been seen as one of the best possible places to train for a new career within the Recreational Diving Industry.

PADI CD Holly Macleod Certifies an Astonishing 544 Scuba Diving Instructor Certifications in 2018 in the Gili Islands, Indonesia

Another new record in 2018 for Multiple Award Winning Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod who issued a total of 544 PADI Instructor level certifications of which 105 dive professionals chose to take the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Holly in the Gili Islands, Indonesia.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/27/2018 -- 2018 has seen yet again 100% of students who finished professional Instructor training with Holly and have gone on to be successful in the PADI Instructor Examination (I.E); providing new Instructors with the necessary certifications and qualifications to start a career as scuba diving Instructors as well as benefiting from additional training workshops designed to provide candidates with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be successful within any team based dive shop environment and gain a competitive edge over other brand new scuba diving instructors. Including the ability to schedule, plan and conduct recreational PADI programs in an efficient, safe and fun manner.

Having issued over 226 PADI Specialty certifications during 2018, Holly has seen an increase in professional Instructors choosing to take environmentally aware programs such as Project AWARE and Dive Against Debris as well as a general increase in new scuba diving Instructors looking to provide future students with training in specialty areas of diving.

Another great thing is that in 2018 Holly has seen more ex Instructor candidates returning to take PADI IDC Staff Instructor training giving them a more in-depth view of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) whilst using personal teaching experiences to help others develop a professional career as many of these Instructors already are. Many previously certified PADI IDC Staff Instructors are also on track working towards the PADI Course Director rating and taking the PADI Master Instructor (MI) preparation training whilst working locally in the Gili Islands and beyond.

As one of the highest certifying scuba diving Instructor trainers within the recreational diving Industry, Holly has seen a variety of different personalities travel to Gili Trawangan to take advantage of the undisputed excellence in Instructor level dive training offered. The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) itself takes place at the only ever PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (IDC) to be established on the Island of Gili Trawangan offering world class professional PADI training facilities.

Ultimately the astonishing certification numbers clearly illustrate massive popularity amongst those looking to develop a solid start in this amazing and dynamic career teaching people to dive and providing further training opportunities and also demonstrate Holly's sheer experience in training new PADI Scuba Diving Instructors.

There are many ways to find out more information about taking professional Instructor training with Holly.
105 Dive Professionals Take the PADI IDC During 2018 with Platinum PADI CD Holly Macleod in the Gili Islands, Indonesia

2018 was a fantastic year in the Gili Islands for professional PADI Instructor training and Industry Leading PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has issued over 544 professional Instructor level certifications; 105 of whom took the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC).

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/27/2018 -- Amongst those 105 Scuba Diving Instructor graduates in 2018, a number of candidates also took PADI specialty training with an increase particularly in those taking environmental specialty training such as "Project Aware" and "Dive against Debris" which is great news for the underwater environment. The great thing is that creating the opportunity for environmentally based learning not only helps look after the immediate underwater environment but provides new instructors with the ability to teach future student divers a little bit more about ways in which they themselves can help protect the beauty of the underwater world.

Holly has also seen many ex-candidates returning to take the PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course (SI) of which many are aiming to work towards higher levels of training and eventually take the PADI Course Director Training Course (CDTC); which has made way for the recently developed program is the PADI Master Instructor Preparation Program which is great for those already working in the Gili Islands and looking to develop personal professional training techniques and get more exposure to Instructor Development whilst at the same time continuing to work within the local industry teaching people to dive for the first time.

For professional divers looking to make the transformation and become a scuba diving Instructor this really is an opportunity of a lifetime to receive the absolute best possible training available within the recreational diving Industry. Holly has over 15 years' experience within the recreational diving Industry in a range of different diving related roles in a variety of geographical diving destinations which has been incorporated directly into the training regime by way of going beyond the standard PADI IDC curriculum; providing additional workshops aimed at providing new scuba diving Instructors with the knowledge, skills and ultimately the confidence to succeed in this amazing, exciting and dynamic industry whilst providing a realistic insight as to what will be expected from potential new Instructors and what a new Instructor can expect for both potential employers and the diving Industry itself. The program takes place every single month at the only PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (IDC) to be established in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia offering world-class training facilities at the highest possible standards. The PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) runs on a 17-day schedule and aims to develop candidates to a level way over and above that generally found within the diving industry.

Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod Introduces the Gili IDC App on the PADI IDC Gili Islands Program

Being one of the Industries most popular choices for Scuba Diving Instructor training; Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod is constantly looking to improve the quality of training and amongst other additions for 2019 is the Gili IDC Application.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/12/2018 -- Having certified well over 100 Instructors each year, consecutively over the past couple of years; Holly has continuously been praised for the sheer quality of the training provided which and has been repeatedly recognized through a range of Industry Awards including the "Platinum CD" Award, the "Elite Instructor" Award and the "Commitment to Instructor Development" Award. Having already developed one of the finest training experiences available within professional level training, Holly now introduces a range of new enhancements to the training regime, of course without compromising the current high level of training quality.

So in 2019, there will be a number of additions and adjustments to the PADI IDC daily schedule to make way for a range of new or enhanced sessions. There will be more focus on group orientated activities to encourage and develop general teamwork skills when planning, organizing and conducting PADI training activities. There will be more emphasis on Rescue and Advanced Evaluation and more coverage of further education training activities as well as more exposure to alternative demonstration workshops designed and conducted by Holly Macleod.

One great thing to be introduced is the Gili IDC Theory App, developed by Holly, which offers candidates the chance to test themselves on dive theory knowledge in a fun and engaging way. The App is designed to be fun, easy to operate and beneficial. It is constructed in a quiz format whereby the user can gain points or coins or to get time extensions or even go 50:50 on a question. Users can also Phone a Friend which actually shows the choices past users have made. Although the App itself is basic, it does fulfill the purpose of being a useful tool allowing candidates a way of assessing themselves via the App and keep a personal track on their development in a fun way. So, come 2019 we may very well see the App becoming a great tool for candidates to use during the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.

The great thing is that there is also a brand new PADI IDC Indonesia Website in line for 2019 that will include improved formatting and course information and will give previous candidates access to photos of the PADI IDC Program conducted over the last 5 years. It is also a great way for future candidates to see what they are getting into. If that's not enough encouragement, the PADI IDC Gili Islands on TripAdvisor proves to be great assurance for those thinking about it.

Multiple Award Winning & Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod Introduces the Gili IDC App Study Tool

Multiple Award Winning Industry Leading Platinum rated PADI Course Director Holly Macleod continuously aims to improve the quality of training provided and of course to make it fun. Amongst the latest additions to their training, candidates may now find an App designed as a way for professional divers to review their own knowledge directly from a smart phone in a fun and easy way.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/12/2018 -- Although Holly Macleod has received a number of Industry Awards including the "Platinum" Award, "Elite" Instructor Award and the PADI "Commitment to Instructor Development" Award, and the PADI IDC with Holly has clearly been sighted as one of the Top Instructor training courses available; the program is still continuously revised in an attempt to add to the training provided to enhance the overall high level of training quality.

2019 will see many changes within the structure of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) which is fully conducted by Holly Macleod and these adjustments will take place without compromising the quality of training provided.

There will be more emphasis on developing the current Group Orientated Workshops with an aim of improving teamwork skills, particularly when planning, organizing and conducting PADI training activities in a fun, safe and educational manner. There will be an increased exposure to Advanced and Rescue Diver Course components as well as a general overall increase in candidate practice in the range of continuing education programs which can be taught to future students.

Another exciting addition that may be found in 2019 is the Gili IDC Application which can be found on the Google Play Store and can be used during the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) allowing candidates to test themselves on their overall dive theory knowledge in a fun and interactive way. The App itself is actually very basic and easy to use, which is great and of course, it delivers the PADI Divemaster Knowledge in the form of a fun quiz, whereby the user can ultimately test personal theoretical diving knowledge and see how they do in the quiz. Whilst playing the quiz you get the chance to collect points and gain a score or exchange them for a pass, a 50:50 or phone a friend. The App is a great Idea for professional level PADI Divemaster and PADI IDC level students and will most likely be fully in service by 2019 on the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Holly Macleod.

Another new addition for 2019 is the All-new PADI IDC Gili Islands Website giving ex-candidates full access to photos from previous PADI Instructor Development Course's with Holly, and a way for those thinking about it to see "what they are in for". Another way professional divers can gain assurance is to check out the PADI IDC Indonesia Reviews that can be found on TripAdvisor.

Leading PADI Course Director Holly Macleod Secures the Platinum 2019 Award on the PADI IDC Gili Islands in 2018

Whilst congratulating Holly Macleod on receiving the latest Platinum Award of 2018 it was noted that actually, Holly has already met the prerequisite of the 2019 Award as well, so it’s a double congratulations for next year as well.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/21/2018 -- The Gold, Silver and Platinum Status is Awarded every year through the Frequent Trainer Program to PADI Course Directors who stand out from the crowd. Although it's absolutely no surprise that PADI CD Holly Macleod has once again won the full range of PADI Awards including the PADI Platinum Status Award, it is surprising to see that Holly has already met the requirements for the PADI Elite and Platinum Awards for 2019; and all within 6 months. Now let's take a look at the reasons why the PADI IDC Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Holly Macleod has become the number one choice for professional scuba diving instructor training.

The PADI IDC Instructor Course takes place at the only PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (IDC) on the island of Gili Trawangan offering the absolute highest possible standards of professional PADI training facilities. The entire program is entirely conducted by Industry Recognized Award Winning Multiple Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod who has a wealth of real-life industry experience having worked in a variety of diving related roles and in a range of geographical diving destinations. The program itself has been specifically designed by Holly to develop candidates to an ultimately higher standard and way over and above that generally seen within the Recreational PADI Instructor training Industry. The general aim of the program is to give new instructors the knowledge, skills and most of all confidence to join any busy dive shop team environment with the tools to succeed.

The main three considerations when choosing where to take the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) tend to revolve around location, experience and assurance. The Gili Islands is a great place to start out in a new diving career offering a perfect dive training environment for all levels of scuba diving from beginner divers right up to technical deep divers and most of all a growing tourism industry and subsequently a growing number of beginner divers. Holly issued over 500 certifications in 2017, 116 of which took the full PADI IDC Instructor Course and with over 15 years of industry experience in a range of geographic diving destinations and updating a range of different diving related jobs. Holly's experience combined with a raw passion for dive education and training makes the PADI IDC Course the ultimate choice for serious dive professionals.

As well as receiving all of the PADI Worldwide, PADI Asia Pacific and Industry based Awards for the year of 2018; Holly has already clearly already achieved a variety of awards for the year of 2019.
Larger PADI IDC Group Sizes Prove a Massive Success in the Gili Islands with Holly Macleod; Award-Winning Industry Leading Platinum-Rated PADI Course Director

During 2018 Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has been busy running some large PADI IDC Courses. With a 100% pass rate, various PADI Asia Pacific Awards and some great reviews Holly proves that large groups on a PADI IDC course can actually maximize training potential.

Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (ReleaseWire) -- 06/21/2018 -- It is always a debate as to which is better; a "smaller" group or a "larger" group when it comes to the number of people taking the program at one time, so it's great to get a firsthand analysis from one of the busiest PADI Course Directors within the diving Industry. Holly runs the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) every month in the Gili Islands and is clearly one of the highest certifying Instructor trainers with the diving Industry. Having certified 116 Open Water Scuba Diving Instructors (OWSI) and a total of over 500 Instructor level certifications issued in 2017 its fair to say Holly has had a busy start to 2018 having already conducted 5 programs before June with candidate numbers of around 10 to 15.

So the main argument for smaller groups is that there is more potential for individual attention and personal development, but actually that can work as a barrier against personal development by providing less variation in personalities to work with when presenting to, plus limited opportunities for problem-solving and evaluating other candidates in preparation for real-life teaching future students. Holly Macleod places a great emphasis on group work and team orientated workshops, so by the end of the course candidates should be able to plan and conduct their own training activities regardless of who the student is on that particular session without the need for any further attention.

Holly Macleod has a wealth of Industry experience spanning over 15 years, teaching both recreational and professional diving courses and as an Instructor trainer has conducted both small and large PADI IDC groups. Over recent years Holly has designed, developed and tested a range of distinctive training workshops along with a very well planned schedule which suits groups of various sizes. In fact, the latest program schedule designed by Holly actually works best with more than 10 people and really enhances the effect of group orientated training workshops and teamwork problem-solving exercises and develops candidates in a way that they are able to quickly and effectively teach, demonstrate, evaluate and identify problems regardless of who the student is.

So all in all it can clearly be seen that individual Instructor candidate development can clearly benefit from an increase in other instructor candidates joining them on the course if the program is effectively managed, as is the case of the PADI IDC Gili Islands Program in the Gili Islands which combined with the raw passion and experience of Industry Recognized Multiple Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod whilst inducing and exposing teamwork ability, problem-solving and teamwork ability and getting the absolute best of results when it comes to personal development. Results can be seen easily through the real-life PADI IDC Gili Reviews on TripAdvisor or checking out other PADI IDC Gili Islands Social Media status.
Now it's worth a look at why the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Industry Leading Platinum PADI Course Director has become the number one choice for professional divers looking to start out on a brand new career.

As one of the more popular choices for professional scuba diving instructor level training, Holly offers candidates the ultimate chance to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and most of all confidence to start a career as a recreational Scuba Diving Instructor. Holly has a wealth of experience within the recreational diving industry spanning over 15 years and working within a variety of diving related jobs and in a range of different geographical diving destinations. The program currently takes place in the only PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (IDC) to be established on the island of Gili Trawangan and therefore offers the absolute best in professional scuba diving training. The PADI IDC program itself has been purposely designed by Holly Macleod to provide candidates with the absolute highest possible standard of training which is generally considered to be in a league of its own; way over and above the standard generally found within the recreational diving industry.

Although group numbers tend to be high it has actually proved as a benefit to individual Instructor candidates by providing a broader range of problem-solving opportunities to fine tune personal teaching techniques. Other benefits of having a larger group is that allow candidates to gain more on hands exposure to PADI skills and more variation in delivery, organization and managing students. Another great thing about larger group sizes is that Holly runs a variety of group orientated workshops designed to enhance teamwork ability; a necessary tool within any modern day dive center.
