Stuart, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/17/2014 -- Dishes with Fishes, the popular KickStarter campaign that received over $35,000 last January in donations, is proud to announce the last shipment of rewards to backers. The new and improved dishes were created using a more expensive silk-screening printing process than before, as well as new blank dishes that were funded from the campaign. "The quality of dishes and inventory levels have increased significantly thanks to my 124 great backers" said artist Kim Rody. "Another unexpected benefit (of the Kickstarter campaign) was being able to decrease the dinnerware's pricing structure due to economies of scale. Because of increased quantities in printing and blanks, the per piece price went way down."

The last of the dishes, (nicknamed "Real McCoys" to differentiate them from the original prototypes), were shipped to backers on June 30. These "RM's" utilize the new silk-screening process and are fired in Rody's kiln on the new blank dishes which arrived via container earlier last week. After four months, the long awaited shipment included over four tons of unbranded dinnerware which are all secure in the artist's garage on pallets. Now Rody can proceed with her new product lines including the "turtle caboodle" set as well as a new powder blue tri dish design.

Kim Rody created Dishes with Fishes after working as a professional fine art painter since 2000. She paints with dramatic, bright and colorful images that have gained a following all over the world, particularly in South Florida and the Bahamas. She has received the nickname "fishartista" as she paints dramatic canvases of fish, turtles, palm trees and various other tropical scenes.
