Fantasy Book Club Started by Scott Tucker

Writer and small business owner Scott Tucker will host the first meeting of a new Fantasy Book Club. Fun Games Blog to feature the book club and Scott Tucker's game store in an upcoming sneak peek.

Jacksonville, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/16/2015 -- Fun Games Blog, the website for new information about game related things, will publish details about a new Fantasy Book Club hosted by Scott Tucker. The club will meet weekly for the next year to discuss fantasy and game related fiction books.

"We have a lot of gamers on our site who also read fantasy books for fun," says Fun Games Blog contributor George Hardy. "Actually I think it would be hard to find gamers who aren't heavy fantasy readers. Hopefully Tucker's new book club can provide a nice social platform for them outside of gaming meetups."

The club features a fiction book of the week and a fiction series of the month which will strictly be picked by Tucker from the fantasy genre or epic fantasy genre. The club is free to attend, meeting in the back of Tucker's gaming store in Jacksonville, FL which can accommodate up to 100 people.

"I think my store needed a book club a long time ago," says Tucker. "The kids and adults who come are definitely fantasy readers, they play fantasy board games and fantasy computer games. It will be a big hit, but just to be sure I'll keep Fun Games Blog updated on the meeting times and the book of the week selection."

Tucker will provide snacks and refreshments at each weekly meeting of the Fantasy Book Club. Members of the club can bring their own refreshments and books to share with the group, meetings will take place from 7-10pm on Fridays.

Fun Games Blog will post weekly updates after the first official Fantasy Book Club meeting later this October.

Game of Castles Created by Scott Tucker

Art gallery owner Scott Tucker will debut his new board game “Game of Castles” on Fun Games Blog. Photos and videos of game testing will be posted in an upcoming feature on the blog.

Indianapolis, IN -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/25/2015 -- Fun Games Blog, the place for people who crave fun and love games, has videos and photographs of the new Scott Tucker "Game of Castles" which will be published on the site in early May. The game is a four person role playing game which comes with a board and several character pieces.

"Game of Castles was something I thought up ages ago, back when I still lived with several roommates," says Tucker. "While the other guys were really into dice games and dungeon games I was thinking about princesses and castles. It's great that I finally completed the game, it's going to be wonderful to see people finally enjoying it besides me."

The game will be available for purchase in Seattle area board game stores, Tucker's art gallery gift shop, and online at Tucker's personal web store. The art gallery which Tucker owns will have the game on the shelves in the upcoming weeks. Tucker plans to produce 100 games himself for limited edition versions, an addition 5,000 games will be produced by a manufacturer in the region.

"He is producing quite a few Game of Castles box sets, that shows he has a lot of confidence in the game," says Fun Games Blog staff manager Olivia Gordon. "There are plenty of people backing this game who have already seen the prototype. We have confidence the reviews we post will accurately reflect the game play from an objective and unbiased viewpoint, because nobody at our company has played any version of the game before."

Gordon has given the game to five staff writers at Fun Games Blog and will post the videos of the employee game play in May.

The upcoming Game of Castles feature on Fun Games Blog will contain information about locations where the game can be purchased.

Fun Games Blog Announces New Scott Tucker Game

Game designer Scott Tucker will release a summer-style Snow Cone themed board game for at-home family use. Fun Games Blog will review the new game, show photos of game play, and post an interview with Scott Tucker.

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/08/2015 -- Fun Games Blog, a website for spotlighting all kinds of new and old fun games, will review the game "Snow Cone," created by Scott Tucker. Snow Cone is an independently made board game that pits one player against opponents in a battle for snow cone world domination. The game will enter large scale production this summer after great fundraising success and will be available for purchase this fall.

"The game is for little kids and big kids alike," says Fun Games Blog contributor Alex Glen. "Adorable art, simple yet compelling game dynamics, and a well-made product make Snow Cone a great choice for your next family game night. Scott Tucker has done a great job."

The game, which was initially funded through a successful online fundraising campaign, is an eight player board game with different snow cones that each have special powers. Players compete to hang on to their snow cones, while making other players lose theirs via power cards. Up to eight players can play the game, depending on the amount of pieces in use.

"I was ecstatic when I heard Fun Games Blog wanted to feature the game," says Tucker. "It's great when a little indie board game can get some attention. These days, people seem to be so focused on online gaming. You lose a lot of human interaction that way, people have forgotten that board games are a fantastic way to spend time with others."

Fun Games Blog will additionally feature the online fundraising campaign used to turn Tucker's game "Snow Cone," from a dream into reality. The fundraising success showed the public's interest and demand for more independently designed board games.

"People want these kinds of games," says Glen. "It's whimsical and fun along with being high quality and well-thought out. It's obvious that Tucker put his heart into it. The artwork is stunning – it really raises the bar for a board game."

Fun Games Blog will publish an interview with Tucker and a formal review of the first version of "Snow Cone" next month.

Scott Tucker Debuts Vegas Style Slot Machine for Home Use

Game distributor Scott Tucker will debut a Vegas-style slot machine that is legal for home use in some states. Fun Games Blogs to cover the machine, interview the creative team behind it, and give users a sneak peek of gameplay.

Nashville, TN -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/27/2015 -- Fun Games Blog, a web portal for gaming enthusiasts of all types, will share a sneak preview of Scott Tucker's "Jackpot Fiesta" with their users. The retro-inspired, Vegas-style slot machine will be available this summer.

"For many people, having a huge game room is part of their lifestyle," says Fun Games Blog writer Erik Jansen. "And having a slot machine that harkens back to Vegas' glory days is about as good as it gets. Our readers are going to freak out over this game." The machine, which features a pull lever to spin the reels, lights up and makes noise similar to slot machines from the 1940s and 1950s. It is operated with tokens that come with the machine, to increase the game's authenticity.

"There's nothing like inserting a coin and pulling a lever, and seeing what fate has in store for you," says Scott Tucker's lead designer Kenny Fletcher. "We took the best part of retro gaming and packaged it in a new machine. You can use the lever, or play with the electronic buttons, but either way you'll feel like you are in a Vegas casino despite being in your own home."

The machine's cost has yet to be revealed, but its release date has been set for June 15. Because of many state laws prohibiting slot machines, this limited run of Jackpot Fiesta will only be available to certain buyers. Slot machine ownership is for fun only and limited to home use. Game owners will not be able to use the machines for profit.

Fun Games Blog will host video of Jackpot Fiesta gameplay, as well as interviews with the machine's developers.

The novel features a completely interactive storyline where users dictate the plot. The graphic novel will be released early next summer.

Fun Games Blog features local business owner Scott Tucker in their upcoming article. Tucker will be hosting the new bi-monthly trivia night at Benny’s Bowling Alley.

Nashville, TN -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/25/2015 -- The site designed to be one step ahead of the pack with activity in hand, Fun Games Blog, is putting the spotlight on trivia night with Scott Tucker this month. The event will be held at Benny's Bowling Alley twice a month with prizes details to be announced.

"This is an event for the whole family, and that doesn't mean it skimps on fun," says Bill Weaver of Fun Games Blog. "We have sat down with the Tucker and can guarantee that this will be a great time for kids and parents alike."

The event will be broken up by age group so that all participants will be playing on the same level. Children younger than five are encouraged to stay with an older sibling or parents for the night. Topics will be chosen by both the organizers and players as the weeks progress. Teams can be organized ahead of time or made on the first night during the meet and greet.

"We just want to initiate some more person to person connections in the community," says Tucker. "This gives families a chance to not only do that, but not have to worry about getting a sitter or finding the time elsewhere in their already flooded schedules." Tucker says he will stay on with the event as long as they will have him.

Registration for trivia night can be filled out at Benny's Bowling Alley or online at Fun Games Blog. The event begins at the end of next month.

Scott Tucker Reviews New War Themed Game for Fun Games Blog

The newest first person shooter from Lifeline, “Half Crescent,” will be reviewed by ten year army veteran Scott Tucker. Fun Games Blog to share Tucker’s review along with a sneak peak.

Portland, ME -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/19/2015 -- Fun Games Blog will spotlight a special guest review of Lifeline's latest first person shooter, "Half Crescent," by former US Marine Scott Tucker. Tucker will take readers through the game, comparing it to actual military campaigns.

"We have worked with many people in the past in our goal to provide the best and most accurate information in our reviews," says Jane Holly, senior editor of Fun Games Blog. "But Scott Tucker is one of the most informative one we've brought in for consultation. He was the perfect person to play "Half Crescent" and tell our readers exactly what it's like to be at war."

A soldier in the US Marine Corps, Tucker has first-hand knowledge concerning the sphere of war and the preparation for it. He has been stationed in Germany, Afghanistan, and Guam all in active duty. Now retired, he does consultations for several independent firms and security teams focusing on the safest practical solutions to potentially dangerous situations.

"There are a lot of problems with most of the military computer games out there today," Tucker says. "The graphics are getting disturbingly realistic, but the actual game play is far from it. When you can get shot more than three times and keep right on running, there is a message that is being sent to the player at a fundamental level. So while gamers think things are getting more realistic, the gap between game and reality is growing."

Tucker will play an advanced copy of "Half Crescent," which will be available in April for both Xbox and computer use. The blog will showcase Tucker's gameplay along with his review.

"Scott Tucker brings a whole new take on traditional game reviews," says Holly. "If he enjoys it as much as we did, I'm sure he'll be back to review the next big war game that gets released."

Scott Tucker Creates New Coffee Drinking Game

Scott Tucker, an artist in recovery, has made a new coffee drinking card game to replace alcoholic drinking games. The game is intended for mature audiences according to marketing partner Fun Games Blog

Nashville, TN -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/17/2014 -- Scott Tucker, a fine artist who has been painting and creating for more than 20 years, has released a new coffee-drinking game for mature users. The game, called Coffee Cup, hits online stores February 1st.

Tucker created the game's iconography using his years of art experience and plans to market the game in conjunction with Fun Games Blog, an entertainment blog. The game is played with cards, and was created to replace alcohol-based drinking games that Tucker missed while maintaining sobriety.

"Throughout my career I suffered from demons of an addictive personality," says Tucker. "The Scott Tucker you know today is a completely different person thanks to the life changes I have made. Because I reached out for help, my art improved and I could create the truly inspirational work I had always dreamed of creating."

Tucker teamed up with local card game enthusiasts to help create rules for the new game. The new coffee-drinking game has artistic coffee renderings from Tucker. Rules of the game follow closely to rules of basic drinking card games, except using sips of coffee instead of entire alcoholic drinks. The concept was born from an idea Tucker had when reflecting on his drinking days.

"I was having the best Portland coffee I had ever had, and it reminded me of the great feelings I used to have when I socially drank alcohol," said Tucker. "I do not want any person to ever miss out on friendly card games just because they no longer drink."

Fun Games Blog plans to sell the game online, as does Tucker on his personal website. The card game may be best for mature audiences. A portion of Coffee Cup proceeds will be donated to an addiction awareness organization.

New Math Games Website Helps Kids Improve Math Skills

FunGamesBlog.com announced this week the launch of AMG Services new website to help kids improve their math skills.

Nashville, TN -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/24/2014 -- AMG Services will launch their "Math Games Concepts" website in mid-September. The website will be geared to help parents develop their child's math skills. It will not only help kids, but will help adults brush up on their math skills as well. Mastering math skills helps improve children's school experience, and guarantee them greater success later as adults.

"We need more educational websites for kids," said Kathy Freeman, co-editor of Fun Games Blog. "There are so many violent video games all over the Internet for kids, but you don't see that many good educational games."

Parental participation in the form of at home interest and support has a major influence on student's educational outcomes and attitudes. Many parents are uninformed about current educational practices and how they can be more involved with their child's learning. By creating an easy-to-use, math-focused website, AMG Services will help parents and students work together on math skills.

"Many kids don't want to learn math or practice math, they'd rather be watching videos or playing with computer games," said Stewart Montgomery, spokesman for AMG Services. "With our website, we incorporate the things kids like to do with education, so that they stay interested while learning how to do mathematics."

"Math Games Concepts" focuses on developing kids own mathematical knowledge and understandings, along with engaging parents in continuous mathematical involvement as their children progress through schooling.

AMG Services is an educational company that uses technology and global experience to accelerate digital learning. AMG Services has been providing educational resources to parents and educators globally since 1997.
